'The Phoenix' is a bomb-ship designed to destroy the home-planet of humanity's great enemy- the Cylix. The ship uses an experimental drive, so that it can arrive at its destination without being intercepted and destroyed, but something goes wrong at its launch, and this 'planet-killer' ends up over Equestria.
