Twilight sparkle strolled around her small town, enjoying the rare sunny morning. The pegasus in charge of weather, her friend, Rainbow Dash, rarely got up early enough to make a clear morning. Twilight decided it was time for breakfast, turning towards Sugercube corner. The store was crowded, as usual, filled with ponies, eager to get the fresh product. Twilight scanned the area, hoping to see a flash of her pink friend, there she is, balancing half a dozen platters of delicious looking cakes and other treats on various parts of her body.

Pinkie pie was struggling to keep up with the seemingly endless stream of orders, even with her hyperactive energy, mr. and mrs. cake were in the kitchen, baking, while Pinkie bounced from table to table, serving up her delicious sweets. "HEY, TWILIGHT!" Pinkie pie was glad to see her friend, and would have loved to jumped over and hugged her into the ground like she normally does, unfortunately for Pinkie, the crowd of hungry ponies prevented her from geting to her friend.

"PINKIE, I NEED TO..." Twilight's words were cut short as Pinkie somehow appeared behind her and dashed towards the kitchen, "sorry Twi, i'm..." Dashing into the kitchen, and ran out holding another pile of fresh goods, "kinda busy..." Pinkie jumped over some leaving customers, and placed the first few orders, before dashing past Twilight towards other tables. Twilight couldn't get a word in, getting frustrated, she halted the Hyperactive pony by effectively grabbing her tail with magic, the last few orders flew out of pinkie's grip and landed on the tables, surprising the waiting ponies.

"Well, that takes care of that, now Twi, i still have orders" Pinkie pie was struggling to get out of twilight's magic, Twilight pulled her friend over to her, "i was trying to say, do you want any help?" Pinkie pie gave a huge smile that somehow extended past the edges of her face, "she pulled twilight into a choking hug, forcing her top the ground, "THANK YOU THANK YOU THANK YOU", Twilight struggled with the pony, trying to ignore the stares from other customers. "ahem..." A familiar voice called out, Twilight looked up to see Rarity standing over them, "Rarity!" Twilight was delighted, she had been away to Canterlot on business, "well, this is awkward..." Pinkie pie looked up, "RARITY" leaping up from on to of Twilight, Pinkie attempted to do the same to Rarity, fortunately, Rarity was able to hold Pinkie by her mane using magic, pulling her back, leaving pinkie running on the spot in a comical way.

Soon, Pinkie pie managed to calm down, though "calm" is never a word you would use to describe Pinkie, Pinkie gladly accepts Twilight's help, though Rarity claims "serving? oh god no, i'm afraid a lady of my class will not lower my standards to be a mere maid", after which she promptly sits at a table and orders a breakfast croissant. Pinkie was undeterred, as usual, "okie-dokie-lokie!" And bounces off into the kitchen, Twilight shoots a look of disapproval at Rarity, before beginning to serve out dishes with her magic, it was easy work for a unicorn, but the stream of hungry ponies never seemed to end...

Rainbow dash felt tired, it wasn't like her to wake up so early. In Rarity's words, she needed her beauty sleep, but it was job inspection day, she didn't want to get fired for laziness. Peering over the cloud she was lounging on, the town seemed happy, everypony out enjoying the sunshine. "Applejack!" Rainbow saw an old friend, carrying 2 small baskets of apples, "oh, hey there Rainbow, nice job with todays weather and all" Rainbow dash glided down from her cloud, "thanks AJ, hey, where are you taking all those apples to?" Applejack gave the apples a shake, "these here apples are goin to sugarcube corner, they need fresh apples each day ter bake apple cake, apple pie, apple cobbler, apple fritter, apple turnover..." Rainbow dash's tummy pet out a loud grumble, prompting Applejack to chuckle, "here, y'all help me with these here apples, and i'll treat ya ta lunch, sound good sugarcube?" Rainbow dash hoisted one of the bags onto her back, "deal, it's a date," the 2 friends galloped off towards sugarcube corner...

The crowd of ponies began to thin out, though he orders kept

On coming, soon; "ummm....Pinkie Pie?"a small voice called from the kitchen, "Fluttershy? what are you doing here'" Twilight was surprised to see her shy friend in such a crowded space, Fluttershy beamed at Twilight" oh...hi Twilight, I've been here for a while now, helping pinkie pie with hr baking, Mrs.Cake says I'm a natural!"Pinkie pie bounced over to Fluttershy, "hey shy, what's the problemo?" Fluttershy shifted a bit, pawing at the ground, "well, um...sorry pinkie, but we ran out of apples, we can't make any of these orders without apples..." Angel, riding on Fluttershy's back, waved a pad of orders, Pinkie didn't seem worried, "don't worry your cute little head, Applejack always delivers apples to our store, she's never late, I wouldn't be surprised if she spears any moment no..."

Suddenly, the door to the store burst open, literally cracking the hinges, Applejack burst in, panting, and couldn't quite stop herself before crashing into Twilight, for the second time today, Twilight found herself on the ground with a pony on top of her, at almost the same time, a rainbow colored blur crashed through the store window, tumbling into Rarity, both ponies crashed into the wall.

"AHA!" Applejack yelled in delight, "you lose!!" Rainbow dash peeled herself off the wall, unwrapping herself from a stunned Rarity, "it's only because I had the wind blowing against me!" Rainbow dash started picking up the apples all over the floor, "a deals a deal, now ya have to help me carry them apples every day fer a month," Rainbow dash pouted

Both ponies were suddenly  aware the entire store was staring at them, "ah, sorry bout that ya'll, you all get back ter ya meals now" Applejack called uneasily. Mrs. Cake stuck her head out of the kitchen to see what all the racket was about, seeing her ruined restaurant, she glared at the two ponies now sheepishly holding out the apple delivery.

"I can't believe she made us WORK to pay for the damage," Rainbow dash lay atop the counter, sulking, "oh shush you, it's your fault we had to work, Rarity had been forced to work too, and was in a foul mood, "awww c'mon guys, it was fun to do something together, just like old times, right?" Pinkie pie was ecstatic when mrs. Cake announced they were to work to pay their debt, and hadn't stopped talking the whole time. "HEY, I have an idea, seeing as it's already in he afternoon, why don't we spend the rest of the night together?" Twilight frowned, "like a slumber party?", "YES, A SLUMBER PAAARTY," Pinkie pie seemed so excited, nopony had the heart to turn her down, "but where would we have it? Ah know big Mac an granny smith hates it when I bring over friends, and we can rule out Rainbow's home, unless we wanna get splattered all over the orchards in the middle of the night," Twilight nodded thoughtfully, "I'm afraid we can't go to my place, Spike is redecorating, and he hates it when he's disturbed, "I must insist that we we rule out my boutique, as sweetie belle has her little group over for a, what did she describe it as? A planning session, that's it."

Fluttershy spoke up "I suppose we can stay at my cottage, though I'm afraid there's only 2 beds, and the couch..." all the ponies stared at her, making Fluttershy paw at the ground, "well, if that's alright with you guys, than is..." "no no no, we'd love to stay at your place! We just didn't expect you to offer, "YIPPIE, SLUMBER PARTY!!! Let's go girls!" With that said, pinkie pie grabbed rainbow dash and Rarity, and galloped off towards the cottage, despite their screeches of protest and leaving a cloud of dust behind her. Twilight, Applejack and Fluttershy laughed at their friend's energy, and trotted after them, talking about heir lives.

By the time they arrived at Fluttershy's humble home, it was sunset, approaching the house, the trio heard music, booming from the house, Fluttershy's chickens where in a panic, "oh dear, my animals must be terrified, HANG ON, MAMAS COMING!" Fluttershy dashed off towards her cottage, with Twilight and Applejack following, Fluttershy slammed the door open to a peculiar sight, a crowd of animals were cheering surrounding Pinkie pie, who was dancing in the center of the room with a very reluctant Rainbow dash, the gathered animals didn't look scared or startled. Fluttershy sighed in relief, "this is going to be rough night..."
