Chapter 1: Qutie Quest

Pinky Tales: Volume One

I - Qutie Quest

One day, Scootaloo awoke to a startling sound. She looked outside of her bedroom window to see what it was, and all of the ponies in Ponyville were rushing down the street in a.....rush....

dot dot dot

YAY! I'm a writer!! :D

Anyway, they were running AAALLLL over Ponyville, because that's the setting of the story. I probably should have told you that earlier.

dot dot dot

Running! All over Ponyville! Scootaloo....um......rushed.....outside to see what all the commotion was about. When she arrived on the scene, she saw all types of ponies in panic. Earth Ponies stampeding, Unicorns.....doing....the same thing, now that I think about it, and Pegasuseseszzzz flying full speed through the air!

"What gives?" the young filly inquired, but to no answer. Everypony was too caught up in whatever got them all...all, uh.....not "caught up," but, like, another word that means the same....

Aww, horseshoes! Where's the thesaurus?

INTERMISSION

Distracted! Everypony was extremely distracted by the unknown predicament, oblivious to the perplexed pony protagonist! :3 :3 :3

Just then, Scootaloo saw her friend and fellow CMC member, Sweety Belle. Scootaloo did her best to dodge the much bigger ponies as she hurried over. Not rushed. Hurried.

"Sweety Belle! Hey, Sweety Belle!" yelled Scootaloo.

Sweety Belle looked over and saw her. "Scootaloo!" she exclaimed happily, She was relieved to see her friend was okay.

"What's going on?" asked Scootaloo.

"That!" she said, turning around and pointing with fear.

When Scootaloo turned to look, she saw an enormous green cloud looming over what she could only assume was the entire town. The cloud sparkled with an ominous aura that looked magical in nature, but I don't think Scootaloo would know that, so just forget I said anything. But the cloud looked super scary, Pinky Promise. I mean, who wouldn't run from a giant green cloud? I don't think that premise is flimsy at all.....

Scootaloo yelped, and running didn't seem so crazy anymore. (See? Told you so.) "What is that thing?" she asked, now very confused.

"You're asking me?" inquired Sweety, "How should I know?"

Scootaloo had just thought of something. "Where's Apple Bloom?" she worriedly asked.

"I saw all the Apples ahead a bit ago, but I couldn't catch up. I'm sure she's fine."

"What about your sister?"

"Wait! That's right! What about Rarity!?"

Oopsie! I guess I forgot that part, but don't worry, they're all....uh....already ahead! It's not easy for a little filly like Sweety to keep up, y'know. This explanation is logical and believable to everypony.

"Well that's a relief." said one of the crusaders. I'm not sure which one though. If it's Sweety Belle, you're breaking the fourth wall, and that's supposed to be my thing. But you're just so cute, and I could never hold a grudge.

Sure enough, when the two blank fillies reached the edge of the town, everypony was there, and Sweety reunited with her family. I've never seen Scootaloo's family, but I can only assume they were reunited too. Aww...I love happy endings. THE END.

INTERMISSION

Okay. Sorry, everypony. I just remembered that wasn't the ending. I just got so caught u-- Oopsie, there I go again. Good thing I remembered the thesaurus this time! C:

The entire town watched in disbelief as their town was engulfed in the sparkly green cloud. Various ponies hung their heads in uncertainty.

"What are we gonna do now?"

"I didn't finish my haircut!"

"I'm baking a pie!"

"My stomach hurts!"

That last pony wasn't really talking about the cloud, but just imagine HIS day! Driven out of town, AND a tummy ache? Poor guy.

The crowd was getting restless. Mayor Mare stepped in to keep things from getting out of hand. "Now, now, fillies and gentlecolts. We can't just stand here and panic. There are plenty of unicorns in this town who specialize in magic who can give us great insight as to how we can reverse this," said the Mayor, very eloquently. The crowd had calmed down a bit. The Mayor pulled Twilight Sparkle close to her and continued her speech, "Why, our own Twilight Sparkle is one of the greatest magicians in all of Equestria! I'm sure she will think of something to save our town."

"Well, I, uh..." stammered Twilight, but it was too late. The Mayor had convinced the town, and everyone was cheering.

"And if Twilight can't help us, then we'll panic." added the Mayor.

Twilight walked back to her friends and the neighboring Cutie Mark Crusaders.

"Absolutely noble of you to volunteer your services for our home, Twilight." praised Rarity.

"Yeah! If anypony can save us, it's you!" exclaimed Rainbow Dash, who may sleep in the clouds, but still lives in Ponyville, and is thus directly effected by the conflict in the story.

"Y'all already thought up a plan to save are town, Twilight?" asked Apple Bloom.

"Oh, well, uhh......," re-stammered Twilight, "You see, girls, I don't know any spells for something like this offhand. I don't even know what this IS....and all of my books are in my library." The pony looked at her friends, disappointed.

"Aww, well, shucks. Don't that just beat all?" pouted Applejack.

"YOU KNOW WHAT WE SHOULD DO!?"

"YOU KNOW WHAT WE SHOULD DO!?"

"YOU KNOW WHAT WE SHOULD DO!?"

"YOU KNOW WHAT WE SHOULD DO!?"

"YOU KNOW WHAT WE SHOULD DO!?"

"YOU KNOW WHAT WE SHOULD DO!?"

.....said a lovable partypony from all directions, even a few new ones I made up, "We should all just wear green sunglasses! That way everything looks like that's how it's supposed to be!" The precocious pink pony then produced the previously proclaimed...........uh........well that's too bad, I can't find a "P" word for sunglasses. Oh well...I put some green sunglasses on with a big smile to show my friends my disaster plan.

"Great idea, Pinky, but that cloud doesn't look safe to me. Who knows what could happen to somepony if they wonder in there?" warned Twilight.

"Oh, my. Then what will we do...?" quietly implored Fluttershy.

They were all at a loss, but Scootaloo ushered the other two Crusaders aside.

"Crusaders!" she exclaimed, "This is our chance!"

"Whaddaya mean, Scootaloo?" asked a confused Apple Bloom.

"We can save this town AND get out cutie marks in the process!"

The faces of the fillies lit up and they all snuck off undetected, determined to risk it all for their cutie marks.

So this part is where the story really gets going. But unfortunately, I can't remember it because I accidentally baked it into a cake yesterday. :P Yeah, but at least the ponies at the party all got to enjoy it. It was really exciting, though. They had to go through the Everfree Forrest, and they went on an epic journey to Canterlot, and some KA-RAAAAAAAZY stuff happens! Oh well...

Anyway, so after they do whatever it is that is required to do this thing I'm about to make up off the top of my head, the Cutie Mark Crusaders release the magic genie, which is what they were trying to do the entire time. Prove it isnt.

The genie then lifts the cloud from over Ponyville, which was actually Greenie-Genie Gelatin the whole time, leaving nopony in danger at all. Yes, the conflict was irrelevant, but at least nopony was hurt and everypony can be happy. And I can try some of that tasty looking Gelatin left on Mrs. Cake's counter. YUM!! :D

THE END!
