The Hidden Alicorn

No one but Celestia and Luna knew about this rebel, but she is determined to get her story heard.
Everypony knew the story of the "Mare in the Moon", some ponies knew about Discord, yet nopony knew about the Rebel Alicorn, Astraea, well nopony but the Princesses. Celestia locked her up after Discord's imprisonment in stone for a similar reason to why Luna was imprisoned within the moon, evil.
Just when Celestia thought she would never have to deal with any more evil, Astraea broke free of her prison. Now she is sending the most skilled unicorns and pegasi in all of Equstria to capture the evil Alicorn.
But one question pounds within their heads:
Is she really as bad as everypony thinks?
Before My Imprisonment
I remember, clear as day, meeting him. Him, him as in Discord God of Chaos. Oh how he amazed me, but never would he look at me. No, he only had eyes for my sister, Celestia. Such a shame, we could have gone so far together. We were, and always will be, the perfect couple, even if he claims to only love chaos. See, I wasn't always a rebel, though I did always have a slight attitude. See when us, the three royal princesses, were still young and our parents were still in rule, we lived normal lives. We laughed and played, went to flight school and magic school. We were never treated differently just because we were Alicorns. I had Unicorn friends and Pegasus friends. To put it simply, we lived the best of both worlds.
That was until Discord showed up. I always believed that as a princess that would one day take the throne I had to look at everypony and ever creature with equality. Personality is what mattered. For Celestia, who was quite shallow at the time, it was looks. She was the caption of the best flight team at flight school , and student body president at magic school (the same school that is now named after Celestia.) All Celestia cared about was her image, so when Discord came along, she shunned him. I, however, looked beyond his "monster" appearance, and fell in love with his soul (though I did find him to be quite attractive on the outside as well).
"Hello" I spoke, words barley escaping my lips because of how much his beauty confounded me.
"Hello young princess. Why speak to a beast like me?" He asked, looking into my eyes, my soul, questioning my motives.
"Who said you are a beast? I certainly didn't."
"Ah, but words don't have to be said for them to be heard." He said, and with that he slinked away, his fur glossy in the sunlight, truly showing his beauty off to the world. He was, and still is, a confounding and confusing creature, and perhaps that is why he attracts me so.
After our meeting, my rebellious side started to come out. He started to rebel, he and Celestia went at war. Hatred spewed between the two, and still to this day I wish Discord would've won. After all, what ruler keeps important secrets from her subjects. Celestia, that's who. She keeps what really happened a secret. The truth, here it is:
Discord was ruling what later turned into Equestria. He wasn't a monarch, no more of a dictator. A dictator that I fell in love with. He sent plagues to kill off the Alicorns, I survived when he though there were none of us left. I hid, and learned to love from afar. I was not the only Alicorn survivor though, no my sisters survived as well, and why Discord tortured the Pegasi, Unicorn and Earth ponies, they got stronger. I tried to fight them off. I loved Discord, I still love him, and though he tried to kill me, I wasn't about to let my sisters kill him. They used the Elements of Harmony on him, well after they chased him for days on end until he had no place left to run. When they used the Elements, he was imprisoned in stone. They took his body, now as lifeless as a statue, and placed it back at the castle in Canterlot. Then they went looking for me. I was still strong enough to fight them off, but yet I still manged to get imprisoned, though not in stone like my love. No, I was kept beneath what was once my home, beneath Canterlot Castle. I thought I would be stuck there for the rest of my "immortal" life.
I was flat out wrong.
Broke Free
Twilight:
I woke up that morning just like any other Saturday. I took my time getting ready, and settled down with a good book. Spike was still asleep, like always. Ponyville was still sleeping, and the sun had only just risen. Things were perfect.
Then spike woke up with a slight little hiccup. A letter had came from Celestia herself. I opened the letter and read out loud.
Dear Twilight sparkle,
I have urgent news. My sister, Astreae, has broken free from her prison. Many years ago, around the time of Discord's rule, my sister turned evil. As you know, this was long before Luna made bad choices, so we both did our best to hide all information of our poor corrupted sister from the public. After all, though it was a tragedy, most of our friends had been killed by Discord. Nopony was left to even know about her in the first place.
Please, come to me at once, and bring your friend, Rainbow Dash. As soon as you two arrive at Canterlot Castle, I will tell you more. Please hurry.
-Celestia
"Spike, I have to go find Rainbow Dash!" I screamed.
"I think I saw her over at Sweet Apple Acres. Hurry Twilight! Equestria needs you!" Spike yelled as I galloped down the stairs on my way to find Rainbow.
* * *
I found myself listening to the steady beat of my hooves on the Castle floor as I ran and Rainbow's wings beating faster in faster as we get closer to Celestia. My Breathing got deeper, running got harder but I couldn't slow down 'till I reached the top of the Castle. Finally we found the princess looking out over all of the castle grounds.
"Celestia..... we're...... here." I panted.
"Good. Now come with me." She said calmly as she walked out of the room, stopping at the door to wait for us.
She led us into a room I had never seen before. Ever. Inside were scrolls, each one stacked neatly. They were all sorted into categories, history, legend, Alicorn, Unicorns, Pegasi, Earth Ponies, and more. Celestia led us through the labyrinth of scrolls, and finely to one category, Astreae. That category had just two scrolls. One labeled "Before Her Fall" the other labeled "Betrayal". Celestia reached for the second one, and handed it to Rainbow and myself. We took a breath before opening it. Fear rushed through my body.
"No way!" Rainbow yelled.
