I stood on a floating rock shelf with Celestia, Luna, and Gaia looking over the newly rebuilt ponyville watching the ponies setting up a festival for this occasion. Glancing to my right I watched Celestia and Luna with a sad sigh. I opened my mouth to tell them what the demon Overlord had said but once again the words got caught in my throat. Sighing once more I looked back down and let a small smile cross my face at the ponies bellow me as they lived there simple lives. Turning I looked at Luna and Celestia.

"Luna dear there is something that I need to take care of I will be back in a bit." I said with a fair amount of finality as I stepped of the rock and vanished from there sight. Taking another step I reappeared out in the Everfree Forest and started walking towards the source of magic that has been bugging me the whole ten days that Ponyville was being rebuilt. After a few minutes of tracking the magic signature that has been making my skin crawl I arrived at the mouth of a seemingly magically darkened cave. Walking closer to the mouth I heard a snap of a breaking twig behind me. Spinning around I brought my leg around and kicked a Changling in the head. The insect like pony flew away from me and flew up into a tree before falling down hitting several branches on the way down. It landed on the ground with a sickening crunch. Walking forward I looked over it and saw that it was still alive. Sighing I started to heal it and once it came to I picked it up and held it to the tree that it had just fell out of.

"So what is a changling doing so close to Ponyville right after it suffered such a devastating attack?" I asked with a great amount of venom in my voice. The changling struggled in my grasp for several moments before stopping and looking at me with a fearful expression.

"I don't know what your talking about." The changling said as I started to struggle in my grasp once again this time out of fear. I slowly rose him up so that I was holding him off the ground. I then slammed him into the tree hard. It gasped at the impact and started to whimper

"I won't ask again. What are you doing so close to Ponyville after the demon attack?" I asked with a growl escaping my lips as I was not in a very good mood at the moment. The changling was looking at me with unveiled fear and started to cry. I wasn't for a second going to fall for any tricks so I just held it firmly to the tree and waited for it to stop crying.

"I-I-I will tell you just please don't kill me." The changling blubbered out after a few moments of crying. I nodded and it slowly stopped crying knowing that I wouldn't kill it. Once it stopped crying fully it just sat there in my grasp taking deep breaths for a few seconds before looking up at me.

"I was sent here by Queen Chrysalis to spy on Ponyville for weaknesses so she could get revenge on the elements of harmony for spoiling her plans." It said looking me in the eyes waiting for my choice on weather or not to kill it. I stood there staring it in the eyes for a few seconds before letting go. I turned around and started to walk away as it hit the ground. After a few feet of walking I stopped walking and looked over my shoulder.

"Go back and tell your Queen that if she wants to get at the elements then she will need to get through me first." I said with a finality and then continued walking away. After a few more steps I disappeared and reappeared at the festival at Ponyville. I walked up the the group of ponies that was walking towards me and as I got closer I noticed that the group was being led by the two loves of my life, Luna and Gaia. Once I was within talking distance I gave them a hearty hello trying to keep the populace unaware that they were being watched not moments before.

"Luna dearest we need to talk with your sister about something." I whispered to her quietly as I embrace her in a hug. Feeling her nod into my shoulder I started walking with her towards where Celestia should be. We arrived in the center of town where the party was in full swing and standing on the town halls porch was Celestia. I walked over to her through the crowd.

"Celestia we need to talk its important." I calmly whispered into her ear. Turning her head she looked at me then at Luna who nodded her head. Sighing Celestia got down from the porch and followed her sister who was walking into one of the less densely populated area's. Once we were out of ear shot from all the ponies they both turned to me and waited for me to tell them the news.

"Ok you know that I left to take care of something today right?" I asked the two of them quietly just encase there was something listening in. They nodded their head to show that they knew what I was talking about. Nodding I continued on with what I was saying. "Well there was a Changling spying on Ponyville trying to get inside info so that Chrysalis could enact her revenge on the elements of harmony." I said truthfully and was not at all surprised that they both looked shocked. Celestia got over her shock first she started to trot back and forth biting her lip tightly after several moments she turned to me.

"What do you suggest we do?" She asked a little scared for her students safety. I looked up into the sky trying to think of what I would do to fix this situation. After several moments I looked her in the eyes.

"This is what we are going to do." I said with conviction that surprised both princesses greatly.
