I awoke from my slumber and slowly stretched out my limbs I turned over to look at my wife to be. Slightly smiling to myself I leaned forward and gave her a deep and passionate kiss to wake her up, she scrunched her eyes for a moment before relaxing and leaning into me and deepening the kiss. I broke away with a bit of happy laughter and sat up and was soon followed by Luna. She slowly crawled out of bed and started to walk towards the door as I was now floating in front of my closet and looking for a decent pair of swimming trunks.

“I got the shower first.” Luna called back to me with a cheerful tone. I turned and look at her as she walked out of my line of sight. Shrugging my shoulders I walked into the hall and headed towards Gaia’s door and knocked. I heard some light grumbling come from inside, I smiled at the little prank I was going to pull.

“Ok then Gaia if you don't want to go swimming and sleep instead thats fine by me!” I yelled trying to hold the snickers back. Hearing Gaia jump out of her bed and run around the room frantically trying to get ready was too much for me so I bit down on my hand and walked back into my room where I proceeded to bust a gut laughing. I walked over to the closet again and pulled out some red swim trunks and look them over closely before shrugging my shoulders and putting them inside a bag with a towel that i summoned into my hand. I smiled at my power and chuckled at the absurdity of it all.

“It’s like I am in a poorly written fanfic.” I whispered to myself with a frown at that thought. I looked around suddenly thinking that it just might be the case. Seeing no writer I let my shoulders that I hadn’t realized were raised relax. Shaking my head while walking over to my oak dresser I pulled out the top drawer and pulled out a pair of blue jeans, a white button up shirt, and a pair of socks. I quickly got dressed and walked out into the hallway only to be bowled over by my daughter.

“Gaia don’t run inside.” I said with a frown as I stood up and dusted off my pants. I looked her over and saw that she was wearing dark green swimming trunks and had a brown tee shirt as her top. I nodded in approval, walking over to her I picked her up with a smile on my face. Walking into the kitchen I plopped her down onto a chair and pulled out some cereal, milk, and a spoon. Placing them on the table I took a step and smiled at Gaia, she looked at me and then at the food.

“Dad I can't eat this with out a bowl.” She said pouting her lips and turning her head towards me. I had laughter in my eyes and my smile only got bigger.

“Just pour the cereal and be ready to be amazed.” I said with a bit of mystery in my voice. She looked at me funny for a few seconds before she shrugged and turned back to the table. Picking up the cereal box she turned it to its side and when the flakes started to fall they fell and landed inside an invisible bowl of magic. She looked at the seeming impossibility for a bit before turning to me with a grin on her face she giggled before she turned back to her food and poured the milk and started to eat. I heard the sound of hooves crossing the carpet and I smiled as I walked past her heading for my own shower.

As I stepped out of the bathroom I looked over the entire house and smiled. I walked into my room and picked up my bag, with a little whistle I walked towards the door and waited for my girls to be ready. After a total of 45 minutes of waiting they walked towards me from the back rooms that shall not be mentioned again. I frowned as there was nothing new about them and I would know as I had seen them both before I took my shower. Shaking my head I opened the door and bowed them out just like a gentleman. Walking through the halls we arrived at the Canterlot court yard.

“Daddy what are we doing here aren't you going to teleport us there?” Gaia asked with a frown of concern as she can sense that I am fearful of something. I shook my head and smiled to disarm her concern. I hopped on top of a boulder and patted the top. Guessing correctly what I wanted them to do they flew up and sat on the broad top. Using my magic I made the rock defy gravity and fed on the chaos that it made, then I made a strong wind push us forward. While doing this I was looking over the countryside, when I was sure that nothing was going amiss I allowed myself to relax and I sat down facing my family.

“Who wants to hear a song?” I asked with a smile grow on my face even though I still felt like something was going to go wrong. Both Luna and Gaia through up their respective appendages with huge smiles on their faces. I laughed at their eagerness. Slowly my roars of laughter turned to mild chuckles and then into silence, I took a deep breath and started to hum to get myself in tune.

“When I was just a wee little lad,

Full of health and joy,

My father homeward came one night

And gave to me a toy.

A wonder to behold it was

With many colors bright

And the moment I laid eyes on it,

It became my heart's delight.

It went "Zip" when it moved, and "Bop" when it stopped,

And "Whirrr" when it stood still.

The first time that I picked it up

I had a big surprise

Cause right on the bottom were two big buttons

That looked like big green eyes

I first pushed one and then the other,

Then I twisted it's lid

And when I set it down again, here is what it did

It went "Zip" when it moved, and "Bop" when it stopped,

And "Whirrr" when it stood still.

I never knew just what it was and I guess I never will.

It first marched left, and then marched right

And then marched under a chair

And when I looked where it had gone

It wasn't even there

I started to cry, but my daddy laughed

'Cause he knew that I would find,

When I turned around my marvelous toy

Would be chugging from behind.

It went "Zip" when it moved, and "Bop" when it stopped,

And "Whirrr" when it stood still.

The years have gone by too quickly it seems,

I have my own little boy

And yesterday I gave to him

My marvelous little toy:

His eyes nearly popped right out of his head

And he gave a squeal of glee!

Neither one of us knows just what it is

But he loves it just like me!

It still goes "Zip" when it moved, and "Bop" when it stopped,

And "Whirrr" when it stood still.

I never knew just what it was and I guess I never will.” I sang, the last few words coming out slower than the rest. I smiled at my family for a half second before the sound of screaming was heard. I quickly got up and ran to the side of the boulder and nearly cussed at what I saw. The town of Ponyville on fire and Demons chasing the citizens around. I looked towards the large field outside the town. I nearly froze from what I saw, an Overlord one of the strongest non-royal Demon types there are.

“Once we have the elements of harmony locked away in Tartaras there is no force on this planet that can stop our dark  master!” The Overlord bellowed as he started to walk into the streets destroying whole blocks of houses in one swing of his mace.
