It’s been three months since Sketch and Lightning Star decided to stay in Equestria, and the both of them have become quite content with their new lives.

After Pinkie Pie’s impromptu celebration, the two stallions decided to test Sketch’s theory of their families existing in Equestria by visiting Baltimare, their supposed hometown from their cutie mark stories. Sure enough, they were recognized by some of the ponies there, and they were happy to direct the stallions to where their parents lived. After a heartwarming reconnection, Sketch and Lightning have been keeping in touch with their families.

Sketch continued to work for Rarity as her design consultant, and they were eventually invited to a Canterlot fashion show to showcase Rarity’s new collection. As a show of gratitude for Sketch’s assistance, Rarity introduced him to one of her Canterlot colleagues, who had connections with one of the major publishers in Equestria. After some calls and meetings, Sketch was finally able to get a comic book series, and he’s making a more than decent living. He still assists Rarity with her designs every now and then, and he maintains contact with his gamer friend, Princess Luna. Sketch’s relationship with Applejack is still going strong. He is also preparing for an appearance at the Manehattan Comic Convention with his mentor, Final Draft.

Lightning Star eventually earned enough money to open his own dojo in Ponyville. Many young colts, and even some fillies, look forward to his after-school martial arts lessons. His old teacher even offered to make an appearance, and he reminded the young stallion that he still had much to learn. He has maintained a healthy relationship with Pinkie Pie, and they haven’t fought once since their first big argument.

While the two stallions have accomplished different things in their lives, they still live together in Ponyville, right next door to their good friend, Twilight Sparkle. While living in a new world had its challenges, both Lightning and Sketch feel that it was worth it. In fact, they believe that being brought to this new world was the best thing that’s ever happened to them.
