Now, the enjoyment of the Griffon Kingdom's love of meat and the analysis of the Meat Industry within it draws on parallels in our own society. This is what I think makes this sort of story work: it's more true and more possible than you'd like it to be. There's few things that scare us more than somebody holding up a mirror to us, making us see terrible truths.
