Celestia, Luna, and the Third.

Prologue
"Hey, Princess." Princess Twilight Sparkle trotted over to her teacher. The purple filly was supporting a new hairstyle, suggested by Rarity. It was a simple braid, but it didn't suit the newest princess like it should have. Celestia still stood the same, always looking slightly worried. The Princess of the Day stood at her balcony, glancing at the setting sun.
"Hello, Twilight. " Celestia neighed, slightly dazed.
"Is anything wrong?" Twilight asked, worried for her mentor. Even though she was a Princess, she still looked up to Celestia as a teacher.
"Days are ending quicker. They are supposed to get longer in the upcoming months. We made a treaty, Twilight. This has been going on for an hour now, much too long."
For once, Twilight was confused. The purple pony stepped onto the balcony, next to her mentor.
"Treaty?"
"Twilight, now that you're a princess, I think you can hold the responsibility of this... knowledge. Long ago, there were three rulers of Equestria. Luna and I, along with another pony, Lumina. She was Luna's twin. Right when I helped Lumina with her powers, I knew that she was much stronger than I, and I became strict. Her powers were overflowing like a waterfall. It was too much. Lumina hated me for that, but I had to be strict. I couldn't let her do just anything. It was my mistake, for not letting her do enough, she wanted to do too much. The day she finished her studies, behind Luna, because Luna was the eldest of the duo, Lumina took the nickname of "Lights". Lumina was a strong pony, and of course, she became furious when there was no time for her. Luna already had the night. I had the day.
Lumina became the Princess of the Dawn and evening. The power crazed pony didn't think that was enough. She had changed her once beautiful white fur and blue mane into a red-orange pelt, and a pink-orange mane. She had become too modern, too laid back, too hooliganish, excuse my made up word, to rule. But I knew her powers. She could easily defeat me. From the three hours it used to be, we shortened Sunset to 30 minutes. This was the last straw. Lumina had snapped. I had started enchanting my doors, in fear of her, thinking she'd creep over me when I was asleep. Lumina finally passed through it one day; she had found a spell. My little sister was chaotic. When she tried to cast a cursed murder spell, I countered with a stun spell. It gave me enough time to run. And I ran. Dawn was coming, and thats when she would be the strongest, easily able to kill me. I sped through the halls, and burst through an open window, wings flapping out. Shutting the window, I cursed it, which would turn Lights into a rat and give me some time. I soared through the sky, almost fast as your friend, Rainbow Dash, when she does a Sonic Rainboom. I found Luna.
'Luna. Hold out the night. Code Lumina.' I barked at her, and she nodded.
We had known this would happen one day, we couldn't treat her as an equal. She was higher than us. Which is why she got the shortest time. A gift, but she thought it was a curse. She had scared me, and adrenaline was rushing through my veins. Things happened, and...we got our butts kicked. Lumina took over day, she let her twin have night, because she liked that sister more than me. Lumina, as I said before, was ultimately the most power crazed pony I have ever met. She locked me away in the jail for 'treason'. Luna came to visit me every night, telling me news.
One night, it had gotten out of hand. Lumina never checked on me anymore, I had to generate my own food. Luna came to visit me, at the break of dawn.
'Lumina has taken over. She calls herself Queen Lumina Celestia Luna, otherwise known as Queen Lumina Celestia. Ponies are outraged, and they think you failed them. They think you've just taken a break from day duties. '
'Luna, I have a plan. At the height of day, its when I'm strongest. She's strong no part of the day, because she took a time that wasn't hers.'
Luna discussed the plan all day, when Queen Lumina Celestia was too busy watching over Canterlot to see that the night mare had left her chambers.
The next day, I broke free. Luna had agreed to it, and I watched Queen Lumina Celestia. Then, we attacked, uniting our powers in the first ever Pony Solar Eclipse. We defeated Lumina Celestia, but it wasn't easy. We spent days with her locked away, doing medical operations on the pony. Eventually, we stripped her of her powers. They are hidden in the palace, but I am not allowed to discuss where, due to prying eyes and ears. She's gaining her power, like any Princess. When Princesses are stripped of their powers, they gain it back over thousands of years.
Twilight Sparkle, Equestria is soon going to erupt in a war field."
The young princess looked at Celestia in shock and awe.
"Now, Twilight, would you like some tea?"
"Tea? Of course! We can talk it over, we can do studies on the essence of her power... we can d-"
"Twilight," Celestia laughed. "Nobody can know.Eventually, we might do studies, but after we defeat her."
Celestia came back in a few minutes with tea and scones.
"It's Jasmine and Mint, a recipe of mine, if you don't mind." Celestia grinned.
Twilight easily poured a cup for both of them. "And the scones, Princess?" She asked.
"Blueberry."
"My favorite."
Twilight sipped on her tea. "It's very good. I'll have to get the recipe sometime. Spike would like it. "
Celestia laughed. "I'm sure he would."
"Oh, and Celestia, did you bake the scones?"
"No, the baker did."
"Tell him this is Blackberry." The pair laughed. It wasn't a big deal. As the two sipped on the tea, they chatted, small talk, as the evening faded into night.
The Meeting
A small cafe sits on the outskirts of downtown Canterlot. Ponies are coming out, but not many at a time. Usually scholar ponies, or couples in love. Two ponies sit inside, important Equestrian figures in government. The two Princesses sit inside. One is Princess Twilight Sparkle, a former unicorn, now an alicorn, with a purple and pink mane, along with a purple body. Her cutie mark co-ordinates. Meanwhile Celestia, the eldest Princess, is a tall, white furred pony. Her mane is different shades of springy colors, and it's long and flowing. Her cutie mark stands out more that Twilight's, being a sun. Celestia is the Sun Princess, controlling the day.
Luna, on the other hand, was the opposite of her sister. A nocturnal pony, she was bound to be late.
"Where is Luna?" Celestia growled impatiently.The Princess was uptight, and bitter. "She said she'd be here."
"Celestia. Calm down." Twilight snapped. "That's an improper way to act."
The princess was surprised at her pupil's outburst. She was about to send another flurry of words, but the doors burst open. "Sorry!" A rushing Princess Luna ran over, and sat down. The restaurant was empty, except for a few ponies finishing up. The cafe was closed, but they made an exception for the Princesses.
"Flying traffic troubles." Luna shrugged.
"Ooh, sometimes in Canterlot... don't even get me started." Princess Twilight agreed.
"Girls! We need to concentrate." Celestia chirped, bringing a waiter over.
"What would you like to drink today?" He asked, politely.
"I'll have the chocolate shake." Luna blurted, getting an eye from her older sister over her choice of beverage.
"May I please have the skinny vanilla latte?" Twilight asked.
"And, may I please have Earl Grey tea with two sugar cubes?" Celestia was the last to order.
"So, girls!" Twilight shrugged. "What are we going to do about Lumina?"
"You told her?" Luna's voice was almost a screech.
"I thought she was ready." Celestia said, calmly.
"I think we need to send a search patrol. At the beginning, there's always a beam of light that shines down on the casting mare." Twilight said, ignoring the argument.
"It has to consist of us." The moon Princess's voice was grim. The eldest princess dipped her head in agreement.
"What about the Elements of Harmony?" Twilight asked, anxiously.
"The Elements of Harmony are a last resort when it comes to Lumina. She's a powerful pony, like us. I don't think the Elements can harm a pony." Princess Celestia said.
The other two agreed, as their drinks were brought out.
When the mares finished eating, they went out. Their meal was light and refreshing, due to it being a salad. It still had them stuffed.
"Lumina would be smart enough to stay away from Canterlot. It would signal us, and put a stop to her harnessing her power." Celestia spoke.
"There's a bond spell. We can all set off on different ways. The bond spell lasts for a week. You can contact other ponies." Luna said, quietly.
"So tomorrow?"
"Tomorrow." Twilight confirmed. "I'm going to Ponyville to see my friends. I'll tell them I'll be on a mission, but I won't tell them what it's for."
Before the ponies could reply, Twilight Sparkle, the newest princess, had flown off.

"Hey, silly filly!" Pinkie Pie bounced around. "What brings you back here?"
"Oh, I'm leaving for a few days. Maybe weeks. Maybe a month. I don't know how long."
Pinkie Pie got a crestfallen look on her face. Then her face lit up. "PARTY!"
"Oh no, Pinkie."
"We should have prepared more, though. A Princess was coming to Ponyville!"
"I'm not of Royal Blood."
"You are now."
"Whatever, Pinkie. Wanna help me find the others?"
The Princess walked to the library, followed by her friend, the Element of Laughter. Spike was inside, with Rarity, and they were talking and giggling.
"Should we ruin the moment?" Pinkie whispered. Twilight considered the thought.
"Yeah."
The duo barged inside, scaring the pair. "TWILIGHT!"
Spike ran up, and nearly strangled the new Princess.
"Twilight, what brings you here?" Rarity questioned, a smile on her face.
"I'm leaving tomorrow."
"Wait. So the visit to Celestia to live in Canterlot for 5 months wasn't enough." Rarity groaned.
"Permanently?" Spike asked.
"Up to two months. Max. Then you guys can come to Canterlot!"
After telling the other four ponies, the alicorn said her final goodbyes, and traveled off in the royal chariot, pulled by Pegasi.
