A Nightmare in Ponyville
Chapter 2: Chapter 1: Fun with Freddy
Previous Chapter'Well.' Thought Freddy. 'That was... fun. But not fun enough. I need someone... or somepony else. heehee...'
Floating through the dream-world, he searched for another host. Somepony that would be fun and/or interesting to thrill. Krueger floated around, tempting himself with all of these delicious choices. The only one he couldn't kill yet would be the one known as Twilight Sparkle. She seemed like too much fun. 'Ahh...' Freddy thought, floating into a house. This one definitely seems like fun.'
Freddy was floating over Pinkie Pie, anxiously scratching at her bedsheets. The anticipation too much, Freddy jumped on top of Pinkie, entering her dreams...
--------------------------------------------------
"Pinkie Pie!" Said Twilight, rushing over to the pink pony. "This is definitely the best party you've ever had! I can't thank you enough for this!" Twilight was standing next to a huge throne, where Pinkie Pie, party hat on her head, sat, firing off party cannons in all directions.
Pinkie looked down at her friend. "Of course! It is your birthday party, you silly-willy! I couldn't have just any party, I'd need a PINKIE PARTY!" Pinkie Pie jumped off of her throne, where a large group of ponies stood under her, ready to catch her. Landing in their hooves, she stood, acknowledging Twilight. The group of ponies that caught Pinkie cheered, and most of them left off to other things going on in the party. A few ponies stayed, Rainbow Dash, Fluttershy, and a strange looking pony. He wore a hat on his head, and on his right hoof he wore a leather claw with five razors sticking out of the fingertips. (or, where the fingers should have been.)
"Oh!" Pinkie Pie said, throwing her arm around the new ponie's neck. "This is Freddy Krueger! He helped me plan the party!"
Freddy pony lifted his head, revealing a face full of melted, burned skin. He grinned, and chuckled to himself while the others looked at him mysteriously. Except for Twilight, who stared at him in fear.
"You! F-f-freddy? Spike was talking about you last... night?" Twilight couldn't remember when she had actually woken up since that night. thinking quickly, she realized that she hadn't woken up yet. She remembered Spike warning her about something, or somepony. It was Freddy. Spike mentioned him from his nightmare. Twilight ran from the group, Pinkie's arm still wrapped around Freddy.
"Spike! Spike!" Twilight called, searching for her friend. "Spiiike!" She ran around the party, looking in all directions, until she realized, looking up at the sky, that there was no sky. it was just... emptiness.
Spike came rushing through the crowd, pushing others out of the way to get to Twilight. "What is it?" Spike asked.
"Quickly!" Twilight said, looking around. "I think that we're in one of those nightmares you talked about!"
"Really?" said a voice. "That's... just thrilling."
Twilight and Spike turned to face the speaker, suddenly wishing they hadn't. Freddy-pony was standing there, Pinkie's head dangling from his right hand, his leather glove covered in blood. "Did you know?" He said, looking at Pinkie's head. "Well, I'll let HER finish."
Pinkie's head began to open her mouth, speaking in a voice that didn't sound like hers at all. "I you die in a dream, you die in real life."
"That's right." said Freddy-pony. "Looks like your party friend won't be joining you for any more of my planned adventures! She's out!"
The ponies all around the party seemed to all stop what they were doing, and turned to face Twilight and Spike. Freddy-pony grinned. "Now, I'm not planning to kill any more of you yet." He said, dropping Pinkie and floating up into the air. "But here are the contestants!" Freddy-pony said, pulling out a list of names. "Let's see... Twilight Sparkle, that's you. Spike, Rarity... um... Pinkie Pie. I should cross her out..." Freddy-pony pulled out a pen and marked out Pinkie's name, and someone else's. He looked up to see Twilight and Spike running from him, towards a door, sitting out in the open.
Twilight stopped at the door, opening it for Spike, quickly following him through. "C'mon Spike. We have to escape this place!"
Twilight looked around, and saw that she was in some kind of reddish-coloured room. From further inspection, she noticed that it was some kind of... boiler room. Spike was running ahead, towards a table.
"Wait, Spike!" Twilight said, rushing after him. She turned the corner to see Spike at the table, picking up a small sword. "What are you doing?" She asked.
Spike looked up at her, fear in his eyes. "I know what he's capable of, Twilight. We can't run from this. We need to... kill him.
Twilight gasped. "Murder?"
"Why not?" Asked Spike, checking the straightness of the sword. "He killed Pinkie, didn't he?" Spike looked up at Twilight, who still doubted him. "Fine. You go ahead. I'l take care of this guy."
Twilight began to run, but stopped, and turned. "You don't have to do this, Spike. Let's just go. I hate to say it, but he killed Pinkie. I won't let him kill you too."
Spike frowned. "He's not gonna kill me." Spike smiled slightly. "Listen. If we ARE in a dream, then just hurt yourself. You woke me up by tossing me down the stairs, so if you hurt yourself, you'll wake up. And wake me up after that, too. Now go!"
Twilight ran to the opposite door, but right before she got to it, it creaked open, revealing a face Twilight didn't want to see.
"Thought I'd follow ya exactly?" Freddy-pony asked, laughing. He entered the room, claw out, and swiped at Twilight, who teleported back beside Spike.
"Spike!" Twilight said, popping up in front of him and nearly scaring him to death. "Freddie's behind us! Look out!"
Spike spun around, to be greeted by a slash from Freddie's claw. Spike didn't die, but fell to the floor, dropping his sword. 'What is this?' Spike thought, looking down at his wound. 'I thought pain woke you up...' He lifted his head. "Twilight! Run! Don't worry about me! Only you matter! get out of this dream and save yourself! Find a way to stop this bastard!" Spike stood, grabbing his sword, and swinging it at Freddy-pony.
Twilight jumped off the table, and began to run towards the door once again, but stopped. She heard the battle sounds from behind her. Spike was her best friend. She knew that he wanted her to leave him, but... could she?
Spike, deep in battle with Freddy-pony, heard the sound of the door opening, footsteps leaving the building, and the metal door swinging to a shut. 'I have to buy her some time' Spike thought, staring at Freddy-pony. 'As much as I can give her!' Spike, full of determination, furiously swiped at Freddy-pony, catching some of his skin in the attack.
Freddy-pony reeled back, green ooze flowing out of his wound, but smiled as it knit itself back together, much to Spike's expense. Freddy-pony grinned. "you see now. Your friend Twilight is going to die. Soon after you do."
The table Spike was standing on sunk into the floor, trapping his legs in the floor. Freddy-pony stood above, him, claw in the air. "Bye, bye." he said, swinging his claw down. Spike shut his eyes, expecting pain, but instead felt this tingling feeling. Opening his eyes, he saw the happy glances of Twilight, Fluttershy, Rarity, Rainbow Dash, and Applejack.
"I teleported you out of there!" Said Twilight. "It was Applejack's idea."
Spike, grateful to be alive, stood up, realizing that they were in Twilight's house. "So, what's the plan?" He asked.
"Well." said Twilight, looking at the blazing fire place. "This." She magically picked up a burning ember, and tossed it at Spike. The ember hit him in the face, burning him, but when he woke up, he was in his bed, just upstairs. He knew he was awake, because the others weren't downstairs any more, and Twilight jumped from her own sleep, quickly checking on Spike and rolling out of bed.
"Come on, Spike." Twilight said, going downstairs. "We've got some ponies to check up on."
Deep in the darkness, Freddy Krueger smiled, a second murder fresh on his mind.
