Chapter 2: Chapter 1

Previous Chapter

The stench of blood filled the air. I knew I had to get out of their, and quick. I turned and walked down the large steps, and into the kitchen. I slowly walked to the knife rack, And picked up a butcher's knife and sharpener. I sprinted to my dad's bug out bag. I started to feel like I fucked up majorly, but decided to push that thought aside.

I stepped into the morning sunlight and ran down the street, I was the only home in two miles. I held the knife in my right hand, and sprinted into the forest near our home. I looked at my black, electronic watch, 9am. I went deeper into the forest. I became more and more scared for no reason. I was sure I was lost after 20 minutes. I walked through the dense forest, and came across a sign, "Welcome to the Everfree Forest." Then in blood underneath it, it said, "DON'T ENTER! PLEASE, TURN BACK NOW!" Chills raced down my back, I gripped the knife handle harder and ventured on, into the Everfree Forest...

The forest became more, and more thick, until the sun was 3/4 blocked by trees. My eyes adjusted to the dark forest, and a feeling of being uneasy fell over me, like a blanket over a small child. I looked at the watch and the time was 2:00pm, "shit!" I scream in anger. I heard a loud crunch like a twig snapping in two pieces. I looked around, more alert. The feel that something was watching me was worse then I've ever felt. Two bright, green eyes peered out of the thick forest, the creature tore into the small, treeless area, it's bloody fur swayed in the wind. I raised my knife, and waited for it to pounce, I looked into it's angry eyes, and looked at it with my most blood thirsty look. I raised the knife and breathed at a steady pace. It pounced...

I jumped out of it's way and it stumbled, leaving it's back easy to stab. I ran to the creature, and jammed the knife in it's bottom, and pulled it to the side, leaving a deep gash on it's bottom. I ran back a few feet, blood poured from it's ass, and it turned around, angry. I felt a thick fog of fear focus on the creature, I felt like I needed to flee. Everything was dark, except for the creature, and me. I fled, and everything turned dark, darker, pitch black...
