A young pony seeks out for ancient artifact after his parents where killed. (Anthro)

Prologue

The door opened with a bang, I heard it all the way upstairs in my room, I tip toed to the railing and a group of five fascist supporters stormed in with loud steps. I quickly, and quietly slid my thin, tall body under my bed and breathed quietly, and calmly, and I heard my dad cry out in pain, "help me!" I felt my sanity slowly slip away from my grasp. I heard another scream and a few whacking sounds and a loud SNAP! followed by a loud cry of pain, and curses. A few more smashes and another loud crunch came from my parents room, this time it was my moms scream, and I felt tears form in my eyes.

I wanted to get out of my hiding place and knock them out. I would murder them slowly, like they killed my parents. "Oh god, i'm going crazy" I thought. I wasn't listening for the dying cries of my parents. I listened for the cries, no more, then I listened to the conversation of the fascist scum, "he didn't die without a fight, did he?" one laughed in a gruff male voice, after that, a female voice laughed, "but they died easily, way to easily." I peeked my head out, they where at the stairs, and walked down and out the old door and slammed it shut with a bang.

I closed my eyes and fat, wet tears dripped down my cheeks, I fell asleep, and when I awoke, I shifted my stiff body from under the bed and stretched my large back with a loud pop. I walked along the creaky hallway to my parents room. I looked at their bodies and my stomach clenched with disgust. I looked at my dad's face, his skull was crushed in, his eye dangled from his smashed skull, and dried blood soaked the bed sheets. I moved to look at my mom's mutilated corpse, I vomited on the carpet looking at her corpse, her arm was bent backwards, and her neck and snapped, even broken.

Chapter 1

The stench of blood filled the air. I knew I had to get out of their, and quick. I turned and walked down the large steps, and into the kitchen. I slowly walked to the knife rack, And picked up a butcher's knife and sharpener. I sprinted to my dad's bug out bag. I started to feel like I fucked up majorly, but decided to push that thought aside.

I stepped into the morning sunlight and ran down the street, I was the only home in two miles. I held the knife in my right hand, and sprinted into the forest near our home. I looked at my black, electronic watch, 9am. I went deeper into the forest. I became more and more scared for no reason. I was sure I was lost after 20 minutes. I walked through the dense forest, and came across a sign, "Welcome to the Everfree Forest." Then in blood underneath it, it said, "DON'T ENTER! PLEASE, TURN BACK NOW!" Chills raced down my back, I gripped the knife handle harder and ventured on, into the Everfree Forest...

The forest became more, and more thick, until the sun was 3/4 blocked by trees. My eyes adjusted to the dark forest, and a feeling of being uneasy fell over me, like a blanket over a small child. I looked at the watch and the time was 2:00pm, "shit!" I scream in anger. I heard a loud crunch like a twig snapping in two pieces. I looked around, more alert. The feel that something was watching me was worse then I've ever felt. Two bright, green eyes peered out of the thick forest, the creature tore into the small, treeless area, it's bloody fur swayed in the wind. I raised my knife, and waited for it to pounce, I looked into it's angry eyes, and looked at it with my most blood thirsty look. I raised the knife and breathed at a steady pace. It pounced...

I jumped out of it's way and it stumbled, leaving it's back easy to stab. I ran to the creature, and jammed the knife in it's bottom, and pulled it to the side, leaving a deep gash on it's bottom. I ran back a few feet, blood poured from it's ass, and it turned around, angry. I felt a thick fog of fear focus on the creature, I felt like I needed to flee. Everything was dark, except for the creature, and me. I fled, and everything turned dark, darker, pitch black...
