The Comet of Miracles passes over Equestria once every thousand years. When the comet passes through the sky, it enhances the magic of everypony in Equestria. To celebrate the comet's return to the Equestrian sky, Princess Celestia and Princess Luna hold a tournament in Canterlot for all unicorns to compete in from all across Equestria.

But Princess Luna has gathered her own personal team to compete in the tournament. Her team consists of five of the most unlikely candidates. Rowan, a human turned unicorn, student to Princess Luna, and bearer of the Element of Courage. Rosa, formerly known as Naractia, banished changeling princess, daughter of Queen Chrysalis. And as well as three rogue changelings, Quicksilver, Duke, and Violet, who left their hive to serve Rosa.

But as the tournament proceeds, the changelings are getting restless for another chance to conquer Equestria. With everypony distracted by the tournament, their wishes may come true.

Will Princess Luna's team fare well in the tournament? Or will their own past among the changeling hive come back to haunt them?
