Chapter 1: Bonus: Mykan's Rewrite

Bonus: Mykan's Rewrite

AN: First of all, "Chapter One" was just a draft, and is going to be heavily edited after I finish watching every episode of FiM. (I'm only on "Stare Master")

Secondly, it just so happens that the author of "My Little Unicorn", which this fic uses characters and settings from, found this fic recently and quite disliked it. He rewrote that first chapter into...this.

Somehow, he actually thinks that this "rewrite" of his makes a good "revenge fic", when it pretty much glorifies me. Seriously, he wrote this as a means to insult me. I honestly don't get it either.

This fic crosses over with the wonderfully-written fanfiction "My Little Unicorn: Magic is Believing", which is written in a way that does not need you to have read "My Little Unicorn" to understand what's going on.

"Ugh," The evil unicorn Ring-Master thought, "Just a few more spells, and I'll finally be able to get out of this awful place and reach Unicornicopia." When the Grand Ruler of this land decided to banish him from his homeland for his treachery and mocking the other unicorns who lived there, he spent days and days searching for the gateway that would take him there and get, what he believed to be, his rightful revenge.

The prison-dimension he was in now was kept a secret to everyone, so that escape would be near impossible for most creatures. He had been banished to that horrid place years ago and his patience had long since been exhausted. Ring-Master was finally able to understand the weakness to the dimensions defenses, but it wouldn't be easy to break through.

For years he spent concentrating on his magic and mastering the necessary spells. Finally, after uttering the final spell, a large spark came from his horn and actually pierced the air around him, which soon ripped the dimensional fabric in a

bright flash of light; which meant the portal was open, but just as he about to go through it, he suddenly heard a voice yell "STAR SHOWER!" as a flowing stream of powerful star-shaped projectiles blasted through the hole and forced him back hard, skidding up along the ground. A female winged-unicorn, wearing a cloth of armor flew into the dimension. "Freeze…!" she growled at him angrily. She had come by orders of the Grand Ruler, when warning of an attempted escape was heard.

"Still loyal to that tri-horned bungler…?" He mocked, and then shot a magic beam at her, which didn't even make her flinch. "You were banished from our kingdom for a reason, you traitor. You are a prisoner and so shall you be treated as one." snarled the warrior. Ring-Master could tell he was licked, but sneakily reaching behind him, and fired something past his enemy and through the portal

"Twilight… letter!" Spike called out, after the unexpected letter woke him from his sleep. Twilight looked up from her copy of "Rare Cabinets and Where to Find Them" that she borrowed from Rarity, and took the letter with her magic. Unrolling it, she noticed the parchment was quite different than the one Celestia normally uses.

"Spike, where did this come from?" Twilight asked. "It's not from Celestia..."

                Hello, Equestria.

We unicorns from the nation of Unicornicopia request help from the “Elements of Harmony” in defeating a threat to our peace known as “Titan”. We hope that your dimension’s magic is powerful enough to make use of the locator spell this letter is enchanted with.

Please send the current element-bearers as soon as possible.

Regards, Unicornicopia

Twilight could tell immediately that the letter was a fake. She knew the Unicornicopians well and easily recognized their writing, or signature magic anywhere. Furthermore, she had already received a letter from the Grand Ruler himself earlier, warning Equestria of a criminal attempting to escape the prison-dimension.

"Wow… this criminal must be incredibly bone-headed." Spike said.

"Spike, we have to tell Celestia about this! Take a letter," Twilight said, levitating a piece of parchment and a quill over to Spike.

Dear Princess Celestia,

I just received a letter that seems to be an attempt a forgery from the prisoner attempting to escape his holding. Please notify the Grand Ruler at once as it may be a vital clue to help us avoid such a catastrophe

Your faithful student,

Twilight Sparkle

Twilight then handed the fake letter to Spike, who rolled it up in the letter to Celestia, then sent the both of them off with his fire. A few minutes later, Spike burped up another letter.

To My Faithful Student,

I have been in touch with my love, the Grand Ruler, and he as, since, been dispatching soldiers to assist in containing the prisoner. I, too, am preparing to assist and would like you and all of your friends to join me. With our combined forces with the unicornicopias, we will stop the prisoner, and maintain the peace that the two kingdoms preside under.

Regards,

Princess Celestia
