Authors note: Sorry for taking so long for this chapter, I lost motivation for a bit but I scraped this chapter together, and sorry for it being so short too.

Spike and Twilight was long gone in the smoke. Twilight had never felt like this, she felt good, but strange. She wasn't used to this feeling, and she didn't know how she was going to describe it. But she didn't care about science at this moment. She looked at Spike, he was sitting down with his arms resting on the floor behind him, leaning back. He seemed to be relaxed like she was. Both of them chuckled at random things. Twilight looked down at the stoned dragon who was inspecting his feet.

'Hey Spike...' She said, lazily looking down at him.

'Yeah?' He was still looking at his feet.

'What will Zecora think of you taking... Taking those leaves?' She asked, slowly lying down on her back, staring at the ceiling.

'I- I haven't really thought of that, actually. But when she asks, I'll explain it.'

'Alright then, good.' She laid back down, and started thinking about food. She started to feel hungry. 'Hey Spike...'

'Yeah?'

'I'm hungry...' She sat up and looked at the dragon who got up on his feet when he was done inspecting them.

'Me too... Let's go grab something to eat.'

He started walking towards the door leading down into the library, with Twilight following him. They decided to go to the diner outside Ponyville to get a hayburger. The bright light outside stung Twilight's eyes, she got quickly used to it and walked past the houses, trying to avoid direct eye contact with anypony. She quickened her pace. Spike was sitting on her back, it was getting bumpy for him, almost too bumpy for his liking. Before he knew it, she stumbled a little, making him fly up a little higher than he wanted, and he slammed down on her back with his legs spread, hurting his ''gems''. Even with them being inside him, it still hurt. Really bad. Twilight heard a loud grunt, and him mumble words young fillies or colts never should hear, while groaning a little. She stopped and looked back at him, he was leaning towards her neck, and holding his hands on a place she usually didn't approve.

'Spike?' She was curious to see if he hurt himself badly.

'Urghh, yeah?...' He was obviously not okay, as he continued to mumble words I would be crucified for using in this fic.

'Are you okay back there?' She asked anyways, recieving a look that could challenge Fluttershy's stare in staring down a grown dragon. She shuddered and continued walking. When she faced forward, her head hit the chest of a stallion. She was dazed for a while, but she felt embarassed when she looked at the white pegasus infront of her. He had a really short marine mane with a streak of indigo. He looked down at her with a confused look. He wasn't as tall as Big Mac, but he was still taller than her. He was wearing a blue bandana around his neck. It looked good on him.

'Uh, are you okay?' He asked, looking down at her eyes. Twilight looked up at him, he had sapphire blue eyes. She remembered that her eyes could still have the same pink tint as before, she looked down at the ground.

'Yes, I'm fine. Sorry about that...' She said, looking down at her hooves, trying not to make eye contact with him.

'You sure, 'cause you look a little tired.' He said, looking at her, then at the swearing dragon on her back.

'I'm fine, I'm just a little tired as you said, bye.' She trotted off, but this time a little slower so Spike wouldn't go through that again. She looked back to see that the stallion turned a little against her, looking at her even more confused than he was before.

'Strange mare...' He said to himself, as he continued his walk to the city hall.

-----

Spike had stopped his swearing, and chuckled at the incident. Twilight was relieved that he didn't swear anymore, she had heard words she never had heard before, and she really didn't want to know the meaning of most of them.

'You okay back there, Spike?'

'Better, still hurts a little though.' He said, sitting upright on her back. 'How long until we're there?' The buzz was almost gone for both of them, but they were still hungry.

'We'll be there soon.' She said as she continued her trot for the diner that had opened a few weeks ago.

'Hey Twi.' Spike said, gaining the attention of the lavender mare he was sitting on. 'Who were you talking to when you stopped back in town?' Spike wanted to know who the stallion Twilight was talking to was, as he was busy fending off a nutcracker.

Twilight stopped in her tracks, thinking of the stallion. The way he was concerned of a clumsy mare in the middle of a small town. She didn't know who he was, but then she remembered the princess saying that two guards was coming to town, to go on a ''field test'', whatever that was. Twilight assumed that he was one of the two guards, as he had a bandana with the guard's emblem.

'I don't know who he is, but last week the princess sent me a letter saying that two guards was coming here for a field test.' She paused and continued her trot towards the diner, 'I think that he might be one of them.'

'Alright.' He simply said.

They continued chatting about random topics they thought of, and before they knew it, they were at the diner. They walked inside and took a seat in the corner. Three minutes later a light green mare who was just a little shorter than Twilight came up to them and greeted them.

'What're y'all havin'? She asked them, while smiling. Twilight looked at the menu, Spike had already made up his mind.

'I'll have a hayburger with extra cheese.' He had already decided what he was going to eat on their way to the diner.

'I'll just have a salade, please.' Twilight said after she had finally made up her mind of what she was having.

'Anythin' else?' The mare asked, looking at Spike and then on Twilight. Both of them shook their heads. 'Alrighty then, It'll take five minutes.' She said, walking away. Spike leaned back in his seat, they were comfortable. Twilight was staring out through the window, her thoughts racing. Spike noticed.

'You okay, Twi?' He asked, concerned for the mare on the other side of the table.

She was pulled out from her thoughts and shook her head. Forgetting about her thoughts. 'Yes, I'm fine. I was just thinking a little.' As she finished her sentence, the waitress came back and gave them their food. Spike instantly took a mouthful.

'Thinking about what?' He was curious of what it was that made her loose track of everything like that.

'Oh, nothing...'

'It didn't seem like nothin.' Spike really wanted to know what she had been thinking about.

'I was just thinking how I'm going to add this up to a report, that's all.' She assured him.

'Okay then.' He said as they continued eating their respective meals.
