A story inspired by My Little Dashie.
After reading My Little Dashie it inspired me to make a story. I don't want to really spoil it but, it will have a sad theme to it. To know what happens in the story you must read it to find out. All I can say is the ponies come in the first chapter, so I recommend reading the prologue... Who know you may like it :) Yes these are little snippets of my life and this is my first fiction so please don't criticize me too much.

A Touching Story

A sheet of paper was slammed down on my desk. The noise hammered into my ears and hurt my head, I was lost deep in thought. After handing out another test my teacher walked away down the aisles distributing the tests. "An 83%, not bad," I thought. I examined the test for the missed questions and tried to answer those questions again as a review. I had enough of tests for the week. I quickly packed up the test in my binder and slammed it shut while listening to the murmurs and whispers of my classmates exchanging exams. My friends were off busy in their own little worlds sharing their own ideas and experiences. I for one hated to be alone, yet I always ended up alone. I dug into my backpack and pulled out my drawing binder. I love drawing, it's one of my favourite pastimes. I began sketching an original pony character because that's all I drew. Ponies were one of the 3 main things that make up my life. One of the biggest too. The others being YouTube and video games. I sat snug in my Rainbow Dash hoodie finishing the original character and blowing the eraser shavings off into the room. I admired it, I seemed to be improving. Ponies were always on my mind. The show touched me and really had grown and bonded on me.
The final day bell rang and everyone rushed to the door shoving and laughing together until they all managed to file out of the math classroom. I packed my bag with my binder and flung my back pack over my shoulder and began to trail behind everyone. The halls were crowded with younger students who were just being plain rude. The halls were so crammed it was like a tug of war, literally. People were pushing in two directions just to get to their lockers. I waited for all the wars to subside and continued down the narrow hall and made a left. I quickly made a break for my locker and picked up my stuff to leave the school. I usually walk home with one of my friends but today I wasn't in the mood. I opened the breezy doors to the outside whilst wearing a winter jacket. It was snowy and a bit chilly outside. I continued walking to my ride home.
After a 20 minute ride I got home and hastily ran up to my room to do my usual check all of my favourite websites like YouTube, 9GAG and Equestria Daily on my computer. Then I checked my email to see if anything important came up. My room was a mess and I had an uncomfortable office chair so I slid my laptop down to the floor along with myself and I lay browsing. My desktop changed backgrounds from various pony pictures most of the being Rainbow Dash. I really love Rainbow Dash she is my absolute favourite. I feel like i've always had some sort of special connection with her. I was just awesome. Boom Rainbow my common alias. I made it up, I don't know what it was, maybe destiny, but I always had the rainbow with me. I stumbled upon a FAQ of one of my favourite youtubers and they mentioned a fan-fiction, My Little Dashie. I don't know what drew me to read it but I clicked the link and began reading. I think I read 1/4 of it and then abandoned it soon to re-discover it. I wasn't completely into fan-fiction at the time. It was all my friend that got me into fan-fiction in the first place, because he is really dear to me and he was a big influence on my fandom thus far so I was a bit interested. I took the bite but I wasn't lured just quite yet.
2 weeks later I returned home to do my same routine my friends were always talking about their fan-fictions and when they did I always thought of my best friend who wrote My Little Pony fan-fiction. I finally decided to make a FIM Fiction account to write. I had writer's block at the time and didn't feel like writing at all I couldn't seem to find anything that could motivate me to write anything. I didn't feel terribly well at the time and my friends weren't making feel a hole lot better because I felt more and more like an outsider. We do have similar interests but I was always drawn out from the group. So excited about my account I began browsing a bit I uploaded my profile avatar and was ready to go to bed. I closed my laptop and slipped out of my school clothes and into my pajamas and did all the other "before-bed" non-sense. I grabbed my iphone and opened up FIM Fiction one last time as I turned off the lights and slipped into bed. I looked around for another while just looking at some other stories until something caught my eye. My Little Dashie right there one the popular page. "Oh! They have Dashie," I thought to myself. I was drawn to it whether it was destiny or pure coincidence I decided to read it. I never read this late not unless it's important to me, but this really felt important to me so I continued on from where I left off. I occasionally accidentally had my finger slip and bring me back to the top of the story and it made me rage quite a bit. I found the spots that I got lost at. It appealed to me a lot It was like a story where Rainbow Dash was growing up. I felt joyful on the inside I had never seen a story grab my attention like this. It was until I began reaching the touchy parts that things started to take a turn...
Chapter 1: The Entrance
~* Chapter 1: The Entrance *~
I kept reading up to the part where Rainbow finds out she's a cartoon character. I felt something churn a little in my stomach and my muscles tense up a bit. I was hooked I had to finish the story tonight. I was persistant and I kept reading the story. When Rainbow was reunited with her father and they forgave each other I felt happy, a joy in my stomach I smiled at that moment and cherished it. The story was becoming and more powerful to me as I read, I felt really good when things started to pick up and things were going better for them.
Then the fatal part came, when someone came and knocked on the door as I read that sentence I thought, "no it can't be... It can't be Celestia." I was wrong. Celestia had shown up at the door and the rest of the mane 6 to take back Rainbow Dash, I felt the suspense as if I over saw the whole room at the moment. My heart was pumping and my muscles were even more tense before I was in that moment... I was scared. Then I saw where Rainbow asked if she had to leave and my heart skipped a beat, "It can't happen so soon," I thought. EVeryone began tearing up in the story then finally Twilight got her restoration spell and cast it on Rainbow Dash. POOF! Everyone except the man was gone. I felt terrible at that very moment, I felt like continuing and finished reading the denouement. I let out a sigh of relaxation in my bed and cover myself with my covers and set my iphone on the night stand.
I help my covers tight and shut my eyes. It was completely quiet now. My heart was still pumping from the fic... A tear ran down my cheek. I quickly curled up into a ball and went under the covers and I let out a silent sob. I couldn't bare it the story was so sad and worst of all it reminded me of me.. Tears were running down my cheeks now and I felt horrible I just let all my suppressed feelings out right then and their. I couldn't bare it any longer. I knew I was nothing, insignificant. I knew that no one really liked me and I was a third wheel to everyone... I felt abandoned left to survive on my own. I let out more silent sobs under the covers burying myself so I could be more alone. No one ever loved me or ever wanted to talk much to me. I continued for a bit thinking of how horrible my situation was. "I wish I could have my own little Dashie," I whispered to myself, "I wish I could feel the true love of someone..." The impossible doesn't happen twice. I knew it couldn't happen. "I wish I could live in Ponyville where everyone would at the least be friendly to me and accept my friendship and love," I wished and hoped. For the rest of the night I tossed and turned it was the worst sleep i've ever had since forever. And yet, there was still a test tomorrow.
I woke up the next morning tired than ever and proceded to school after the regular morning get up. Brush my teeth, change and eat breakfast. I wrote that test like no other test and I think I did fine on it and then I continued the rest of the day as usual. I still didn't feel good, after all I thought about I couldn't feel good ever. My friends were talking to me less and less and I stayed alone most of the time. It felt really icky to me. To top it off they said I was annoying. I felt really ticked off and spent the rest of the day drawing and reading. I felt heart break and depression starting to swoop in on me. "I'd do anything to go to Equestria even for a day," I thought to myself. It was loud in the hallways so I walked through the muffled halls to the front of the entrance beside the library. There was a big double door and a display case with the schools awards. I sat down next to the display on a cushy blue chair and stayed their doing my own stuff. I felt like going home and staying under my blanket so I could dream of a good life... My stomach began to ache and my nose began to get stuffed up. I wanted to go home.
Eventually the time came and I got home, I ran up the white carpet stairway up to my room. I love my room it's painted in a light blue. I threw my backpack beside my bed and pulled my laptop out of its case and opened up the web browser to commence my usual afternoon. Browsing my little things that still kept me a bit happy. What was really on my mind was My Little Dashie I felt so connected to the story and so hurt at the same time. It wouldn't leave my mind. I just would keep on remembering it. I did my studies and then got ready for bed as the time came. I held my iphone in my hand and watched an episode of MLP again it always brought a smile to my face, but not today. I didn't feel well and instead I just wished I could be there in Ponyville. I put the iphone on my night stand and then took all of my covers and bunched it up to a sort of cloud looking thing. There I lay feeling sorrow and melancholy flow through me I just wished to go to Ponyville a lot.
I felt tired now and it was late I fluffed up my pillow and pulled my covers over myself thinking, "oh great I can't wait to be hated again... Tomorrow." I closed my eyes still thinking about my wish. I was slowly drifting off to sleep letting myself relax for just those precious hours... Until I hear a large clatter in the kitchen. I dismissed the noise... "It's obviously just someone getting a drink or some shit." I didn't care I just wanted to sleep... There it was again a large clatter, "Nope," I whispered to myself, I ignored the noise. But the more I tried to filter it out there more it just came back to bite at my ear. I covered my ears with my pillow, It just kept on getting louder. I quickly sprung up from bed and proceded down stairs thumping my feet about to smack whoever was making the noise. To my surprise it wasn't coming from the kitchen, it was coming from the basement. I had a bad feeling about this... I kept the lights off and went down another set of stairs and started towards the home theater. I saw light wobbling around on the floor as if someone left something on. I went in to the room quietly but quickly. I jumped. It wasn't any TV or anything else that was on. It was a portal, yes, a portal opened right there in the wall of the theater. I gulped, "what could it mean," I thought. Curiosity got the best of me and I slowly stepped forward to the portal. As I neared the images became more and more vivid inside. I stopped a foot away from the portal and raised a finger and touched the portal... Right there I began feeling sick, the world began to spin around me and shrank to a big black blob. I fell to the ground and I was unconscious.
How long had it been? I have no clue. I finally started to come to. I slowly opened my eyes and shook my head I felt dizzy. I let in a deep breath... That wasn't the smell of my house. I opened my eyes. I saw a wonderful starry night sky and a crescent moon up above. The scent was of the prairie and I seemed to be in a wide open range. It felt refreshing, I was in a random world. I have never seen such a place where was I? I raised a hand to rub my eyes, I gasped! It was shocking before me what should have been my hand was a hoof it was blue! I turned my head and looked. I was a pony! Better yet a pegasus! My coat was a shade of blue and my tail a fiery red and orange. "Could this be true am I really in Equestria?" I asked myself. I awkwardly stood from the pasture. It was unbelievable my wish came true. I was in Equestria. A dirt path was before me. I had no other choice so I decided to the path hoping that it would lead to civilization... Pony style. I listened to the ambient crickets and the ocasional gust. It felt serene and much better than the real world. I loved it....
Chapter 2: Fluttershy's Cottage
~* Chapter 2: Fluttershy's Cottage *~
I continued trotting awkwardly down the path in hope of finding some kind of town. The wind was starting to pick up and owls began to hoo! There was the essence of a forest area around me and I was scared of getting raided by timberwolfs, which I remembered from the zap apple jam episode. I couldn't fly to take a look because I was still getting used to walking, there was no chance for me to fly it also takes up a lot of energy which I needed to preserve just in case I have to walk for a long time. Braches were beginning to fall off trees on the borderline of the path. The sky was still a deep purple colour. "Ouch!" I yelped as one of the branches clocked me in the head. I took a hoof and rubbed my head where the branch hit an continued walking. The bordering forest was starting to thin out and eventually disappeared. Next thing I knew I was traveling through the prairies again. I noticed a sole shack far off in the distance on top of a hill. "Maybe that shack has somepony that can help me!" I thought to myself. I quickened my pace and tried to make my way over to the shack.
I stepped close to the shack and the wind had died down. It seemed like daytime was coming because, the sky was dyed a purple mixed with orange. It looked so pretty I had never seen such a wonderful sunrise before. I began to approach the brown, wooden shack and proceeded up the rickety steps. With each step the stairs would sag and make a cracking noise. I climbed up the final step and noticed how battered the shack was. The roof was almost caving in and the door was cracked and had a large hole in the center. I peeked into the mysterious shack and noticed that it indeed was inhabited. There were bags filled with seed and a heap of apples in front of an empty hearth. The hearth was the only thing in the house that stood out because it was made of a red brick. I decided not to venture into the shack because of its poor condition. It was a dead end. On the other hand the sky was now turning blue. It was early morning.
I began towards the path again which was a 5 minute walk judging by the distance. I felt the go up to about half my height but I just ignored it. I was a bit wet from the grass though since it had built up a dew. As I was in a valley in between to hills I heard a swoosh above me. I looked up, it seemed that some pegasi had woken up and were flying around doing a practice flight from what it seemed. I watched in awe as some of them began to do some tricks. There was a loop de loop and a whole bunch of fast flying. I felt like flying. I flared my wings out ready to fly and I began flapping. With some effort I managed to get off the ground still wobbling a bit. Taking a great risk I put my front hooves forward and my back hooves back and I began to speed up zooming around whilst staying close to the path. On of the pegasi spotted me and whizzed by me making me gape at the mare's skill. "It's my turn," I said to myself. I began to pick up speed following the mare. It was like a race. Zooming through the sky I was slowly catching up to her. The mare began to arc up and I followed. In the clouds I could see a distinct track formation. We began whizzing through some straight check points and then doing some fast turns and arcs. The adrenaline was pumping and I felt even better to be here. I started to fly as fast as I could. I could hear fire burning. I took a quick peek behind me. When I was flying fast it gave the illusion that my mane was on fire. "Whoa!" I approved. I began looking forward and punched my way through the sky going as high as I could. The mare trying to keep up. After quite a bit of climbing through the sky I punch a hole through a cloud and landed gasping for air. After a few seconds the mare came up and sat with me on the cloud.
The mare's mane was a deep blue color and her coat was a light cyan colour. "Your not from here are you?" The mare said curiously. "My name's Skye and I love to race. Cool cutie mark by the way!" I looked at my flame cutie mark and smiled I completely forgot to check what my cutie mark was. "Thanks," I acknowledged, "yes i'm not from here I was just wondering where is the nearest town."
"The nearest town is down there," Skye said smiling. She happily pushed me to the edge of the cloud and pointed down at a small cottage. "That there is Fluttershy's cottage and if you follow that rocky path there you will get to Ponyville, apple cider country!" I simply nodded and smiled. She smiled back, "I gotta go my friends are probably waiting for me take care, I hope to see you around someday!" Before I could reply Skye had dropped through the hole in the cloud and disappeared. I slowly descended from the cloud nearing the cottage. I landed on the grass and began to trot over towards the door. I couldn't wait! I couldn't believe that I was going to meet on of the mane 6 so soon! I met the rocky path and got to the door of the cottage as I was about to knock the door burst open and hit me in the snout knocking me over. "OH MY GOODNESS!" Fluttershy squealed and flew behind a rock. She had dropped a basket and was hiding from me. I walked up to her trying to use a calm, gentle voice. "It's okay I'm not going to hurt you!" I reassured. Fluttershy peeked out from her rock with widened eyes and then hid once again. I slowly walked around the rock to try to talk to her. She squeaked as I came into view, "Hi i'm-" I quickly tried to come up with a name, "I'm Blazin' i am new to the area and I just wanted to talk. Fluttershy opened her eyes and stood up. She stepped away a bit and kicked at the grass, she began talking but I couldn't understand a word she was saying. "I can't hear you, sorry!" I began.
She poke up a bit more, "I'm Fluttershy and uhm, i'm very shy."
"Do you need any help?" I asked trying to be friendly.
"Maybe a little uhm, you see there are a lot of acorns that I need to collect and if you wouldn't mind could to help me get them, if you're free of course!"
"Okay!" I said eagerly. I hopped over to the basket she'd dropped and I flew up to the top of the tree. She began watching and she was starting to get used to my presence. I started to pick the acorns by hoof, I ended up just knocking them down. I forgot I can't grasp things. I adjusted quickly to using my mouth for this. "Woohoo," Fluttershy said quietly. I giggled a bit and I set the basket down beside her. She smiled, "Oh why thank you so much for the help, it's just that i'm really busy and i'm not that good of a flyer so I didn't want to fall with a heavy basket."
"No problem I replied."
"Well i'll see you around, I know that we'll become good friends." Fluttershy trotted into her cottage and shut the door ever so quietly. I smiled and felt happy to myself. I continued onward to Ponyville. Before I took a step Fluttershy opened her door quickly and said happily, "Oh sorry! I almost forgot, welcome to Ponyville." I simply turned and smiled in her direction. thinking to myself, "Yes! Fluttershy is my friend now!" I sped up my pacing, walking felt really easy to me now. Next stop, Sweet Apple Acres, then Ponyville.
Chapter 3: Applejack
~* Chapter 3: Applejack *~
I began walking down the dirt path to sweet apple acres, I could clearly see the town from here with pegasus ponies flying about and a distant chatter of the market. There were occasionally bells ringing and the atmosphere around me had a clam and happy aura to it. I was getting really excited, for once what I wanted happened. The impossible happened, and I wasn't going to let it slip anytime soon.
The path I was heading down suddenly became bordered with fencing and then a large sign was above my head the came into view. "Sweet Apple Acres," the sign read. The sign was well designed filled with pictures of apples and a silhouette of a pony lassoing an apple. I admired the sign for a moment then followed the path up to the barn. I couldn't wait to see Applejack.
"She'll have something interesting to talk about and do," I said to myself.
The barn came into view and I sped up rushing down because I couldn't wait any longer. I powered down the road towards the barn. Big Mac suddenly came out of the barn and headed towards the orchard and I began running towards him to ask about AJ. I opened my mouth gasping for breath. Suddenly, a large amount of dirt flew right and me and hit me square in the face. I jolted to a halt and began cleaning the dirt off and spitting it out of my mouth.
"Bleh!" I said in disgust.
"I'm mighty sorry!" a nearby voice called.
It was AJ that was digging in the farm and accidentally threw dirt at me. AJ emerged from a ditch near the path and handed me a towel.
"Hooey! Looks like a we've got a new Stallion in town," Applejack said happily, "Welcome to Sweet Apple Acres! Ma' names Applejack how'dya do?"
Applejack happily stuck her hoof out for me to shake. I quickly gave her a bro-hoof instead.
"Hello!" I replied, "My name is Blazin' and I came here to chat and help out a bit and maybe hang around. I'm new to Ponyville and I just wanted to meet the locals."
"Well shoot! I could always use some extra hooves 'round the farm," AJ said excitedly, "it's a might fine that y'all stopped by, I'd love to chat and work togiter' it'll be fine as cream and gravy!"
"Alright, that sounds awesome," I replied smiling.
"C'mon let's get yah prepped for work."
AJ and I entered the barn which was roomy and full of hay. She helped saddle me up with two wooden buckets at my sides to do some apple bucking.
"Couldja help me with my buckets?" AJ asked.
"Of course!"
I grabbed a pair of buckets attached by a strap with my mouth off the wall and set the buckets on AJ's back. She nodded and we walked out the barn together heading towards the orchard. through some light grass.
"People here in Ponyville don't bite at all," Applejack said to me in a nice tone, "don't be afraid to ask fir' directions or help! So where did y'all come from d'yah have a place ta' stay?"
"Okay sounds great, sadly I don't have a place to stay and I don't have any money."
"Oh, that'll be no problem, if ya'd like y'all can stay here for a while 'till yah make enough money to move out!"
"Oh yes! I'd really like that a lot."
Applejack playfully bumped me.
"Alright well let's see yah take these apples down," she said as we approached the first apple trees.
Applejack ran towards a tree and bucked it clean with two kicks. I followed her to the tree beside her and knocked the apples down in three kicks. Our buckets were full of apples.
"Now, ya just unstrap yourself like so," Applejack said mixed with a little panting in her voice. She unstrapped the buckets from her back and clunked on the floor. A few apples fell out but she quickly picked them up and ran towards some trees with more buckets underneath. I followed to do the same picking up some of the fallen apples. I ran towards AJ happily bucking away with her.
We had bucked all the way through evening having small chat breaks in between. AJ was leaning against a tree with a wheat straw in her mouth. My stomach was grumbling and I was panting after all that work. The sky was dissolving into orange and it was starting to become older. There was a distinct smell of hot apple pie coming from the barn and the grass felt really soft. I bucked once more at the tree I was bucking and the apples tumbled into the buckets around the tree. I picked up the fallen ones that were fine and chucked the bad ones away. I sat down for a moment to regain my energy. Applejack spit her straw out into the grass, fixed her hat and got up. She strode towards me.
"Shooey! We almost got all the Apples down, just a few more day and we'll be done harvestin'!" Applejack said excitedly, "c'mon let's get some grub, I bet you're hungry as a horse!"
"Yes please," I replied grinning.
AJ helped me up and we walked together through the field towards the barn.
"So, whered'ya come from?" AJ asked our of curiosity.
"Oh i've come from far away, a bad place you could say."
"Whoa! What happened in there town?"
"Well..." I stuttered, "the ponyfolk there, aren't very nice, I felt abandoned and I wished to leave so I ended up here."
I tried to make my story as believable as possible, I didn't want to tell AJ where I really was from.
"Ponies, always come around, but don't worry you've always got a family here in Ponyville."
We treaded into the house and up the step onto the porch where Granny Smith was napping on rocking chair. She was sound asleep but as soon as I walked past her she smacked her lips and yelled, "Who goes, there!" in an old raspy voice.
"It's okay Granny, he needs a place to stay, he's not from 'ere," Applejack replied covering my back.
"Oh, alrighty then!" Granny's tone immediately changed, "Yah' can have the old cot in Big Mac's room, help yerself to dinner."
I nodded and whispered, "Thanks again AJ"
She nodded and we headed through the door to the dining room where Big Macintosh and Applebloom were seat chewing away at some apple pie and hay.
"Hey! Who's that," asked Applebloom.
"This here's Blazin' he's gonna be stayin' with us for a while, until he can get enough money to live on his own." Applejack replied.
I popped my head into the room and introduced myself, "Hello everypony!" I said as I walked in,
Applebloom spoke up, "Hello there Blazin' i'm Applebloom and this is Big Macintosh, go 'head make yourself at home! We got plenty of stuff ta' eat if you're hungry!"
Applejack shooed Applebloom off to her room telling her that the big ponies needed to talk.
"I am a big pony..." Applebloom muttered and strode off to her room.
Big Macintosh began to speak up, "So, you're going to be staying with us, that's fine, please mind that we'll be wakin' up lot's and gettin' to work."
I nodded and smiled politely, it was nice of them to at least give me a place to sleep, it was already dark now and I was having a dinner with AJ and Big Mac. My stomach growled loudly, I hadn't eaten all day. I began chowing down on everything and drank some cider and lightly chatted with Big Mac and AJ. Everything was perfect. After that little dinner I cleaned up after myself and so did the other ponies and we all walked up the stairs together off to our rooms. Applejack looked at me staring deep into my eyes. But then she looked away and said, "Night Big Mac... Oh and have a good sleep Blazin'..."
"Night,"I replied smoothly.
Big Macintosh opened the door to his room and showed me to my cot, "I hope you don't mind it's not that good of a bed, if ya' need anything don't be 'fraid to wake me up an' ask.
"Alright, sound's good, thank you so much, I--" I stopped mid sentence trying to hold back my emotions.
Big Mac simply nodded and slumped into his bed, he must've been tired.
I proceeded to lye down too, time for a good night's sleep.
Suddenly, I had awoken gasping for breath and felt parched, I felt sweaty and really bad. The chill of the barn started to kick in and I felt cold. I walked up to the window to observe the sky, It was still the middle of night, 3 am. I felt terrible I had these horrible memories of... Home, a seemingly sinister place that just held neglect for me. I didn't want to go back, everyone was so friendly here I didn't want to think about it. But sooner or later I knew the time would come. I promised myself to dismiss the thought and enjoy every moment I could here in Ponyville. My mouth was very dry and I started feeling a need for water. I quietly snuck out of the room and quietly shut the door behind me. I started to watch my hooves trying to time them so I wouldn't make any sound in the wooden hall. Big Mac's room was at the end of the hall behind Applebloom's and Applejack's. I quietly walked past Applebloom's room and AJ's room and quietly descended down the stairs.
I stepped into the kitchen and reached for the cupboard and took a glass out and set it on the counter. I filled it with tap water from the sink and sat down on the bench shivering. I sat down sipping my drink and peered out the window with big gazing eyes. It felt weird, but it also felt soothing so I just continued sitting and shivering. I heard a creaking in the steps, I had somehow awoken somepony. Applejack came down the stairs without her hat and had a blanket in her mouth. She walked slowly towards me and sat next to me closely on the bench and covered us with the blanket.
"Wow, that there's a pretty lookin' sky, it really amazing isn't it." Applejack whispered.
"Yeah, nothing like the sky I knew," I replied.
"I don't understand, where in the hay couldn't you see the sky?"
"The big city."
"Oh right, hehe, well it is gettin' late, and uh you seem lonely, anythin' buggin' you?"
Applejack scooted over closer to me and completely wrapped us in the blanket.
"Nah, i'm fine," I lied.
"Alrighty, well uhm, hey Blazin' if you'd like you could sleep with me..." Applejack said in a soft voice, "I got plenty of room in my bed and your cold an' all."
I thought to myself for a moment, my heart felt warmed and loved in a long time. I felt thankful and joyful.
"Yes please, that's kind of you to offer I replied."
Applejack nodded and smiled lightly. She stood up and I followed, we walked up the stairs together still wrapped in the warm blanket and we got in AJ's room. She jumped into bed and showed me my pillow. I had the blanket and I laid down best her pulling the blanket over us. I felt a lot better now I began to fall asleep, before I could Applejack bunched up on me. I turned on the bed facing towards AJ and put my hoof over her and I began to fall asleep.
The next morning I woke up feeling tired and I rubbed my eyes. Applejack lay beside me and she yawned and she smacked her lips and began to wake up beside me.
"So, ehm, how was sleepin'?" Applejack asked.
"The best one I had in a long time," I replied.
Applejack lay back down on her pillow, "Can you pass me my hat?" she asked.
"Sure!" I took the covers off and stepped around the bed to the rack that held Applejack's rope and hat. I handed her the hat. She sat up in bed, "I had a good sleep too, I feel much better with you around, Blazin'," she said.
"I could say the same."
"Okay I think we should git' at the day, we've got a lot of stuff to do, including more buckin' and visiting the town for some groceries and we can stop by a few other ponyfolk and meet my friends, sound fun?" Applejack said excitedly
"That sound great!" I said happily.
Applejack got out of bed and she made her bed by just flinging the cover onto the bed. I opened the door up and we both stepped out of the room. Applebloom and Big Macintosh had already went downstairs and had a breakfast going. We entered the kitchen and sat down on the bench,
"G'mornin' sis an' Blazin'!" Applebloom greeted us.
"Mornin',"Applejack and I replied.
Everyone sat down in front of the table and we began eating breakfast, which was pancakes (yum.)
"Where'd ya walk off to?" Big Mac asked me.
Applejack spoke up before I could, "He just decided to sleep in a different room!"
Big Mac resumed eating his pancakes, I was just sitting there staring off into the horizon.
"You gonna' eat?" Applebloom asked me.
"Haha, oh yeah," I responded and we ate together. Granny Smith walked into the room and walked up to her indoor rocking chair with a tray and sat there eating her breakfast after she swallowed some of the apple pancakes down she spoke up,
"Applejack, hurry up and hustle over to... Uhm, where was it again? Oh yeah, head over with Blazin' to town and git' all the stuff we need." Applejack nodded and threw a bag at me which I caught with my wing and slung it over my back. She tossed a money bag in and seven apples.
"Today we can have a picnic with some of my friends at the park after were done the chores," Applejack stated.
"Wow! That would be awesome," I replied.
With that, AJ and I walked out the door of the barn and proceeded onto the dirt path together. I turned and looked at the barn where Applebloom, Big Mac and Granny Smith were waving at us, I waved back. THere we were down the road. I admired all the shrubbery and berry filled bushes. We started getting closer to the city and the path changed from a soil dirt path to a rocky one. Up ahead was a white stone bridge leading over a river into Ponyville market. I could see ponies walking around and pegasi flying around the sky tending to their own affairs. We headed straight for the bridge, before we crossed I stepped up to the river and washed my face with the water, which felt extremely refreshing. Applejack giggled a bit and I caught up with her at the end of the bridge. We had finally arrived at the market.
We began by browsing the market stalls looking for assorted ingredients. I had basically followed Applejack the entire time, she showed me around the market and she took money out occasionally and filled my bag with assorted goods.
"We can't grow everythin' at the farm so we just buy a few necessities for cookin'!" AJ explained.
After we finished perusing the stalls my back felt like it was going to give out, "Hehe, hang on Blazin' were almost done!" Applejack giggled. I grinned and my hooves started shaking from all that dead weight.
"Let's head to Sugarcube Corner, we can meet one of my friends there and I got to pick up some sweets that we ordered there yesterday."
"Oooo, I get to meet Pinkie," I thought to my self. As we headed for the sweets shop many ponies exchanged looks and smiled at me whispering amongst themselves that I was new in town and they had never seen me before.
Before we could make it Lyra walked up to me and began to ask, "Hello there stranger, welcome to Ponyville, what's your name?"
"Hello I--" before I could continue somepony knocked Lyra out of the way and grinned at me,
"New pony?" they said, "Hello there stranger i'm the mayor of Ponyville," the mare stated. Indeed it was the mayor in the flesh.
"Here's a warm welcome here into, Ponyville!" The mayor began, everypony one the street began shouting welcome! and began clapping and smiling, it felt great.
"So stranger, care to tell us your name?" the mayor asked.
"Yes, thank you everypony for welcoming me, I am Blazin' Skies and i'm staying here in Ponyville!"
Everypony whispered to each other on the streets shouted once again, "A warm welcome to Blazin' Skies! Woohoo!" Everypony resumed what they were doing and the mayor winked and left.
"Golly! You'll have lot's of friends here in Ponyville in no time, 'cluding me hehe," Applejack replied.
"I'm so glad!" I replied, we continued towards towards the shop. Suddenly Fluttershy flew down and joined me and Applejack, "Hello Blazin' hello Applejack!" she said greeting us.
"Hello," AJ and I replied.
"Ah! Fluttershy just in time I was thinkin' of havin' a picnic altogether with blazin' do you think you can tell Rainbow Dash and Rarity to come to the park, oh and have you met Blazin' yet?"
"Why of course! Oh yes, i've met Blazin' he was helping me get acorns from my tree." Fluttershy responded, "well I should go ask the girls if they're free this afternoon, bye!"
"Later!" Applejack concluded as she began to fly off.
Applejack grinned at me and began to speak, "You'll love my friends they're nice ponies if they're not getting tangled in each other's manes."
"Alright, cool," I replied.
We finally moved along and entered Sugarcube Corner with a ring of the bell. "Coming!" Pinkie yelled from upstairs. There was a thudding upstairs and then hoof steps going down a set of stairs. Pinkie Pie showed up in the main room carrying a large box of baking supplies. Her view was completely blocked and she kept stepping on the Baby cake's toys from the sounds of random squeaks and quacks. Pinkie placed the box on the counter and breathed a sigh of relief.
She turned away from the counter and began to speak up, "Now what can I do for yooooooooouuuuu-?"
Pinkie had noticed me. She was looking at me suspiciously, then she began spinning her head around in circles looking at me in different angles. With one huff her neck untwisted and she gasped really loudly and hid behind the counter. Then with a giant leap she jumped on counter and dumped flour all over the floor
"HUUUUUAAAAA! A NEW PONY IN TOWN! NO WAY! Hi, hi, hi, hi, hi! What's your name friend?!" She grinned.
"I'm Blazin'," I replied, "He's new 'round these parts an' I was introducin' him around town, say would you like to join a picnic with the girls and Blazin'?" Applejack added while coughing from the flour that was on the floor.
"Wow, Blazin'! I've never met a pegasus pony named Blazin'! I haven't even seen a cutie mark like that before!" Pinkie exclaimed, "You must know some Radical tricks, as Rainbow Dash would say, OH MY GOSH! Have you met Rainbow Dash yet? YOU SHOULD TOTALLY HANG OUT! You can have races, play games; hang out and even... Just chill and be cool. Oh and for sure, i'm totally going to go to that picnic AJ!"
Pinkie began doing cartwheels around the room.
"WELL OKAY THEN!" Applejack spoke up, "Uh, I also need that order for the farm I placed yesterday, Pinkie."
"Okie Dokie!"
Pinkie ran off to the back of the room. Before she got back there were various noises coming from the back A welding torch, Drill hammer and even a giant pounding! The aroma of a strawberry shortcake began to fill the room. Pinkie walked covered in strawberry juice and icing with a box all in a wrapped up box. She handed the cake to AJ who immediatly put the cake on my back. I let out a mighty, "HO!" as the cake was slung onto my back. The pains of all the things were returning and my legs began shaking again. AJ snickered at the sight of me.
"'Kay c'mon now wouldn't want you to give out before the picnic, let's head over to Twilight and ask her if she want's to have a picnic." Applejack said to me.
I nodded, before we left Sugarcube Corner Pinkie offered her hoof out to be shaken I accepted, hoping that it wasn't a prank. To my luck it wasn't. Pinkie grinned and waved as we exited the sweets shop, now we were well on our way to the library.
