It was the day before Spike's Birthday. Twilight was having her yearly "Re-shelving" day. After Twilight had passed her test in magic in Canterlot were she working in the castle library. Twilight had her test in "Re-shelving" the library books as she got older. The unicorn pony had been using the magic from her horn to organize the books that could take a long day. Twilight had to concetrate so the books stood in a special order. Some books had been about the Medieval, some about the history of Canterlot castle and other about Equestria's railroads. One row in the library were filled with Ponyville through the years, and another row about Cloudsdale. Beside books were Twilight working for a year in a curio shop in the Canterlot Alleyway. The curio shop had used things like hats, portraits and old wagons from Appleloosa. Twilight moved to the Canterlot Alleyway that year before she arrived in Ponyville. Month's before Spike's Birthday were the baby dragon buying a fire ruby to himself in a Ponyville store.

"This is a rare fire ruby I found in the Diamond Dogs caverns last year." the owner told Spike.

"You have to go deep into these caverns to find these fire ruby's, and few ponies in Canterlot own these ruby's." the pony said to Spike.

Rarity had her Birthday after Spike, so he wanted to give the fire ruby to her. Spike had not been at Twilight's Birthday party in Canterlot, so Twilight and her friends decided to give Spike a surprise event. Next Chapter: In harmony Estimated time remaining: 45 Minutes
