Twilight had been a filly as she had lived with her father and mother in Canterlot. It were the year before Twilight had hatched Spike. The unicorn pony went to the yearly Summer Sun Celebration fair that had been held for decades in May. There were rides, games and more at the crowded fair. Some of the rides was a ferris wheel and a carrousel. Ponies slept all day to stay up all night at the fair before Princess Celestia came to raise the summer sun. Pinkie Pie and the other five fillies had been at the fair, but Twilight had not noticed them at the crowd. The party at the fair had ended in the afternoon. Then the months passed while Twilight read books about magic and fairytales in the library. As Twilight had her birthday were she given a book by Princess Celestia that were called the Elements of Harmony. It was a book from the ancient castle in the Everfree Forest. Twilight used her first magic to turn the pages. Princess Celestia told Twilight it was an important book.

"For long time ago there once was a castle in the Everfee Forest. Two royal pony sisters lived there." Twilight read.

"Ponies came from all over Equestria to the yearly Summer Sun Celebration in the Everfree Forest. But one sumnmer there had been no Summer Sun Celebration under a fight with the two royal sisters." the unciorn pony were reading.

The book had pictures of how the castle looked like before the forest and the castle got cursed. Twilight saw pictures of the Crystal Empire that laid in the mountains north of the Everfree Forest. The unicorn pony thought that the Crystal Empire only was a legend. Later that autumn were Twilight going to have her test in magic. The last student a unicorn mare from Canterlot called Sunset Shimmer had failed the test.

"So that Twilight Sparkle is next in the test that I had failed." Sunset Shimmer was thinking.

Sunset Shimmer left Canterlot, and went to the Crystal Empire where lived since that day. Twilight passed her test in magic.

"As you get older you must move to Ponyville, and learn about friendship." Princess Celestia said to Twilight.

"You will get your own library in Ponyville where the remains of the books are from the ruined castle in Everfree Forest." the princess told the unicorn pony.

Twilight haven't been in Ponyville before. The filly had only known about Ponyville's history from books and newspapers. Years passed, and one day in the spring were Twilight leaving her parents home in Canterlot to move to Ponyville with Spike. That years Summer Sun Celebration should be hosted in the Ponyville towns hall for the very first time with Princess Celestia as guest.
