An autumn day ten years after Babs Seed had visited Sweet Apple Acres the first time had Manehattan been abandoned in a hurry. A curse had caused many ponies to flee, and not return to Manehattan. Those who chose to stay after the curse told that nopony would go outside their houses after it got dark in Manehattan. Babs Seed and her sister moved to Sweet Apple Acres.

"Nopony returned after dark, and even the Canterlot guards made it probihited to go into Manehattan as the evening arrived." Babs Seed told her family.

So Shining Armor, Princess Cadence and some of the guards wen to the ruins of Manehattan one early morning.

"There had been this feeling of both anxiety and a strange atmosphere in the remains of Manehattan." Princess Cadence told the newspaper.

"Royal ponies had lived and ruled here for over 500 years ago that now had been Manehattan, and they used black magic." Shining Armor said to the press.

Then had the two ponies told about how there once had been a castle outside Manehattan, who went in ruins after battles with foreign ponies. Zecora knew about old history of Manehattan, and she refused to visit the ruins of Manehattan too.
