Chapter 1: 1

1

Author's Notes: Thanks to two cans of Monster (112 g of sugar, omg!) I decided to write this totally original story! I'm sure all of you know by the tags that this is going to have 'teen' content, so be ready for that! I put a lot of work into this at 3 in the morning, even though I have work and studying still to do. Plus I've been trying out P90X2 and redoing Insanity but just haven't had the motivation to wake up early enough. I hope you enjoy what I set out to do, and hopefully we all can have a good laugh together!

I'm a pretty average straight-B student. Of course, I have my quirks, though I'm mostly normal. I'm a student...uh...like I said already, meaning I go to school, and in order to attend I also work. Though I'm going to school to get a better job so I need to have a job to go to school, because...um...anyways, I love my family. My parents have supported me in the traditional way: giving me money for my first years of college until they realized I was screwing around and partying and so they stopped funding me. Well, joke's on them because I'm living back at home and going to community college! (Though they keep saying I'll have to pay rent if I don't keep my grades up, which is why I put in just enough effort to stay at home and go to school without having to pay for it.)

You see, I like to spend the extra time I make for myself instead of pushing for an "A" in order to watch My Little Pony. In fact, I'm typing up this story right now instead of doing a math assignment that's due in...four hours? I guess I'll put it off for another three hours before getting on that. In the meantime, I'm going to watch more My Little Pony!

Oh, I'm so into My Little Pony! So hardcore! Every moment I live where I do not have to focus on some kind of work, I am thinking of ponies. Even though I've never bought any of the episodes or toys or supported the franchise because I'm more into the fandom, I'm such a great fan of the series! What I wouldn't do to end up living in Equestria with the six ponies (you know the ones, because you're fans too if you're reading this right now, right? Yeah! Brohoof!) and I know I'd be able to show my love and appreciation for them and I know it'd be perfect. Alright, so now the story is going to start because this was just the introduction, but I'm being kind of meta about it.

Seven a.m., waking up in the morning. Gotta be fresh, gotta go downstairs. Gotta have my bowl, gotta have cereal. Seein' everything, the time is goin'. Tickin' on and on, everybody's rushin'. (That was all a reference, do you from where? hahahah)

I spend the next hour or so refreshing my fimfiction profile over and over to see if anyone's made a new blog post or faved one of my stories. Sometimes I try to keep track of the view count but the graph doesn't always update fast enough for my liking. I've got other stuff going on with my wicked awesome computer set up of a desktop monitor connected to my laptop. So while f5ing all day every day on one screen, I'm watching pmvs and other pony stuff on the other. Though I'm also keeping track of current events and the weather, because you don't want to taken off guard by a storm or heavy traffic which would make me late for school or work. I don't really hang with other people since a lot of my friends from my old school live far away from me, so we keep track with texts or instant messages. Sometimes we'll say "happy birthday" or just randomly send a message to ask what's up. Of course there's also people I got to know who like ponies and we keep in regular contact. I'm close-ish with my coworkers and classmates but it's a bit embarrassing that I never got around to hanging out with them outside of those places. In the meantime, before I have to go to work a few hours from now (hopefully getting around to finish my homework before I have to leave) I decide to furiously clop to lots and lots of, well...you know. I don't think I have to explain what that means since you probably know what that means!

I really wish I had a girlfriend. Like, a pony girlfriend. Though a girl who doesn't mind me liking ponies would be pretty sweet too. Though not as much as a pony, even though I understand how "improbable that is" (oh wait, I better not make too obvious a comment or else I have to make a spoiler thing!) So, in summary: I'm not the most outgoing, but I definitely don't enjoy cooping myself up for too long, I wish I had a girlfriend, and I don't have much of a life outside of the occasional invite that I can't attend because I put off my homework or I've got work-work. It's pretty stressful, I gotta admit, but can't say it's unbearable.

“Shit!” I say out loud to myself while sitting in my room, “I better leave now so I can get some gas for the car. Not to mention that I should pass by the ATM so I can order some food during my lunch break." After cleaning up the mess around me, I make sure to get ready for the day. Readying myself for my full-day work schedule, I can at least be rest assured that this semester is almost over. Speaking of which, I should probably get started on my finals before I have to rush too much. It's one thing to laze around with homework, it's another to let all of my projects pile up on me. I mean, I don't want to waste more money on tuition, school fees and books than I have to. Plus, gas is getting expensive.

The clean up was made easier while listening to a few Friendship is Magic songs, since multi-tasking isn't too hard for me to do.  Emerging from my bedroom I greet my parents and they mention something about going to a class reunion. Thanking them for the heads up (since that means there won't be any dinner prepared beforehand) I make my way to my car. My mom, ever the worrywart reminds me to drive safe and I respond that I will, and my dad reminds me to ask my boss what the hold up is with a promotion. Geez, he already knows that I can't just up and ask the boss for that sort of thing at a retail job. He can be so corny sometimes. Still, they welcomed me back home while I saved up for a place of my own, going so far as to say that I should wait until after I graduate so I'd be sure to have a better paying job to cover the rent and living expenses.

The drive over to the store I work at was as mundane as most anything else in my life. Playing my mix of "brony" songs and listening to the radio, time practically zooms by and I'm pulling into the parking lot. Since it was a weekend, the store was pretty busy. Most everyone had the day off and was shopping, though since one of my four classes is online, that doesn't stop my homework from being due today. Oh, crap! I forgot to finish it up before I left...I sigh, and figure I'll have time before the end of the day to finish and submit the homework assignment. My shift ends quickly enough since I pretty much have a handle on my minimum-wage duties. Nothing to write home about, really. At the very least I wasn't working to closing, today, and soon enough I was already traipsing through the parking lot back to my car, when a loud screech of tires called my attention to my lef-
