A photo shoot
Colgate could just click her hooves. She had got her dream job. It wasn't just a normal day anymore. She had gotten the call no more than a few minutes and gladly taken the job. Her modeling photos for the sugar cube corner paper add had been noticed and she'd been picked to do a photo shoot for the " SHINE!" toothpaste company and couldn't be more happier even if the whole world had brushed it's teeth. She approached her destination: Sugar Cube corner. As she walked in, the bell rang. She bought a nice-looking chocolate cupcake with plenty of icing and smiled, icing forming around her mouth as she munched greedily. She retreated to the bathroom and brushed her teeth frantically , knowing that chocolate icing wouldn't look good in the photo. After she left the shop, she stuck her legs out like a tripod, closed her eyes, and struggled as her horn began to glow with a white aura as she began to sweat and grunt until her body was surrounded with the white magic. With an almost silent puff, she teleported to the sheet-plastered studio. She blinked as her eyes adjusted to the bright flood lights. A slick pony came up and smiled. " Ah, Ms. Colgate. Prompt, as I would suspect from a mare of your looks." He affectionately tossed one of her strand of mane and winked. " Well, since you're here, we might as well get this over with." He smiled and whispered some directions about taking the photo into the photographer's ear. He nodded, and Colgate was soon put in a cyan dress, coated in white sequins here and there, matching the toothpaste itself. Her hair was quickly curled and and her hooves positioned and told not to move. A tube of SHINE! was held in her hoof as the camera flashed and she waited for the ok to go. After a few more shots, The slick colt came out again and shook her hoof with an enormous smile. " Thank you for coming. We'll call you in the morning after we have these developed." Colgate remained calm and collected until she teleported outside to the courtyard of the building and did a little dance and squealed with glee. She knew that she was acting like a philly and would normally disapprove of such practices, but she couldn't help herself. She was going to be a STAR!!!
Uptown talk
Twilight Sparkle was on her way to the market for more carrots when she noticed something nailed to the library's bark. She turned to face it with mild irritation, knowing that piercing the tree's surface harmed it. However, she did not bother to read the add. She only saw Colgate's face. She smiled. She was glad that Colgate was going up the employment ladder and decided for some unknown reason to go congratulate her. After a brisk trot she found her reading a book in the park. As she looked up from her novel, she was startled by the smiling facial features of Twilight and dropped her book in shock. " Oh! I'm quite sorry, Colgate. I just wanted to say how great it is you've gotten that new job. You must be so proud!" Twilight spoke. Colgate nodded happily and flashed a pearly-white grin as she waved goodbye and went back to reading her book. Twilight found it quicker to teleport home then walk, after all, the park was across town. The carrot cart had rolled away anyway. To her shock, she found a collection of ponies surrounding the library that hadn't been there before. She tried politely asking what the trouble was but no one would answer! Finally she resorted to shouting out " WHAT IN EQUESTRIA ARE YOU ALL LOOKING AT!?!" everyone turned and pointed a hoof to the poster. Twilight had never read the message but now she could see it. " If you don't care about dental hygiene, you're a disgrace to your country!" Twilight turned around to face them. " oh, calm down. It's just a catchphrase. A silly, dumb marketing jingle that shouldn't even arouse a sniffle from you. carry on now. Go back to being normal, healthy, productive equestrians." She said. Bit by bit, the crowd cleared all except for Applejack, Rainbow Dash, and Spike. " Well, Sanitary's my middle name! I haven't got a cavity once and I eat freaking rocks!" boasted Spike, puffing out his chest. " PIFFFF! Who needs brushing your teeth? The apple is nature's toothbrush." Said Applejack, munching on a golden delicious. " EWWWW!!! That's disgusting! Everyone knows that the wind in your face is more refreshing with minty-fresh breath." piped up Rainbow Dash. The 3 walked away bickering as Twilight walked inside and slammed the door behind her, tearing the poster down with the force. It flew up and away over the breeze.
Playing to a younger audience
That poster landed in a mud puddle at the foot of the Cutie Mark Crusaders / Rainbow Dash Fan Club, where it marinated in its earthly juices until Applebloom tried to climb up and slipped on the glossy flier, sending her falling backwards. After stumbling to her feet, she saw the annoyingly retna-burning colors of the poster in the muck and yanked it out. After closely examining it, she rolled it up and after climbing up the tree, she placed it on the top of the bookshelf and left it only, waiting for a good opportunity to show it to someone. No one visited for a small collection of hours until Scootaloo came up around sundown to fetch her scooter, as she had left it there for protection from a previous storm. She was almost out of the tree when a gust of when sent the flyer rolling onto the floor, lightly tapping her hoof. She turned, expecting a squirrel or something, but saw the little mud stained scroll instead. She unrolled it and saw the posing image of Colgate. Tucking it under one wing, she started down the tree and started speeding down the road to town.
........
Sweety Bell was bored in her room above Rarity's shop , messing with a bolt of periwinkle fleece and using it as a makeshift fort. She was reading a rather boring book recommended by her big sister about 18th century corsets and dresswork that she was now misusing by tweaking each picture with a highliter. She was surprised when a rock hit her window and smashed through the glass, leaving her to furiously peek out the window and see the two remaining Crusaders looking eagerly up at her. " What in the hay were you thinking???" Sweety Bell yelled downward. " Rarity's going to kill me for this!" she facepalmed herself. Check the rock, mouthed Applebloom. Sweety Bell spied the rock on the floor and saw the poster wrapped around it. Unfolding the glossy page, she saw the message and heard Applebloom whisper, " Isn't that a funny message? Who needs teeth brushin' when you got all the replacement heads you need growin' on trees?" She giggled. Scootaloo looked disgusted. " You'll get cavities you know! Just think about all those bills and drilling fees! You'll need 12 bumper crops to pay for all that." Applebloom scowled. " Minty!" she teased " Forgetful!" Scootaloo yelled. After the flyer was sent back down, Applebloom and Scootaloo walked around the town, showing the flyer and sparking the first step of what would soon be their own doom...
Steps are taken
Soon enough, someone started to make copies of that poster. However, the most controversial thing about the copies where that someone had scrawled " SO TRUE!" underneath the curly script message. The posters where everywhere. On the bathroom wall of Sugar Cube corner. In the snack line at the Cloudsdale Colosseum. On the trees of the Everfree forest. Everywhere. Like a parasprite, it spread everywhere. One day, it just happened to be nailed on the sweet apple acres gate when Applejack was wheeling a cart of apples into town. She stared. and stared. and stared a little bit more until a volcano of bubbling rage uproared from within her and she tore the poster off the wood plank with her jaw. She chewed the papery pulp and spat it onto the dirt path, spitting on it and rubbing it into mushy mud with a hoof. She continued on her way, trying to remove the poster from her memory, but all attempts of this failed when she counted 4 more posters just on her way down. When she saw the town plastered with the black-and-white copies, she went at a gallop and bucked down the posters, until she stood in the center of town, panting. She perked her ears up as she heard the angered sound of bickering neighs. A sea of mares and colts where collected in front of town hall, flailing the posters wildly and pounding on the door. The mayor was cowering in the window above, looking down at the crowd with undeniable fear in her eyes. She dashed away from the window and soon the doors creaked open and she shuffled out nervously. " Dearest citizens, I apologize for this advertisement and we will alert the makers right away. Now, carry on calmly and go back to your daily activities. Please." The crowd was not satisfied. Lyra, a mint-colored pony, piped up " What should we do to protect our town from these... these... Forgetfuls? They should not be permitted to ruin our town with their unsanitary oral practices. Bon Bon, Lyra's used to be friend, kicked her and soon the two were brawling in the mud like common hooligans. This was a sad sight for anyone who knew Lyra and Bon Bon as the pair was nearly inseparable. Questions continued to pound at the Mayor's skull until she finally said everything would be resolved tomorrow.
It was later reported a tan mare with a silvery mane was seen hitching a ride on a caravan out of town.
The results were catastrophic .
The breaking of Equestria
With Ponyville's legal system demolished, the hamlet's apocalypse began.
Sweety Bell was snuggled under the comforter, her muzzle tucked under her pillow. The moon was out and the night was cool, and the window was open, it's curtains fluttering in the warm breeze. Wait... A warm breeze? It was cold tonight. Sweety Bell lept to her hooves and looked at the window through the shadow. In the orange, flickering glow of torches, Big Macintosh, Applejack, and a saddened Applebloom's faces were visible. Applebloom mouthed "I'm sorry" and Applejack looked at her funny, then looked at the window. Seeing Sweety Bell, she tapped Big Mac and they both galloped to a whinnie as the flames climbed upward. Sweety Bell just stood there, hot tears rolling down her face, ready to smack Applebloom. Then she realized they had to get out quickly or be burnt alive. She galloped down the corridor to Rarity's room, where she lay sleeping, Opal on the bed. " Wake up!" She whispered, " Wake up! Please, Rarity, PLEASE!" Rarity yawned and looked around until she saw Sweety Bell's frightened face. " Applejack light the house on fire! We have to get out now!" she said, pleading desperately to follow her out the door. After a cold bucket of water in the face, the philly, the mare, and the cat escaped the building just as the roof beams and the left side of the foundation came crashing down as the flames spread. Rarity watched in horror as years worth of fashion was burned to the ground. She sobbed in horror on the ground until the fire was put out.
Later on, similar events occurred. Sugar Cube Corner was robbed by Lyra, Several Library books were sabotaged by a group of Forgetfuls.
But by far the worst incident was when it spread to Canterlot. At first it was only a sniffed-at " Country Fad" , but soon even the most civilized saw how majorly their lives could be affected by these unsanitary ( or too sanitary ) hooligans. They started doing what Ponyville did, only, because everything is bigger in Canterlot, it much more upper scale. Even the most elegant cities were burned, destroyed, or covered in graffiti. Later, things got much worse. It increased to a high level. An anarchy rebellion level...
The night the sun rose early
Mischief Sparkles was going to have the time of her life. Like all ponies, she was named suitably. Mischief loved everything about fireworks. Their color, their sound, just plain everything. However, that wasn't the case tonight. These fireworks had a more distinctive purpose. She had bought some illegal powder via the Everfree black market and had special mixed it in this dose. To save time, she carefully wrapped it in newspaper and plucked a mane hair to use as a wick. She looked up at the waxing moon. It was time. It had been carefully coordinated and planned despite the days of setting up appointments and meetings. Tonight, ( and this night only ) Mintys and Forgetfuls worked together to get the truth out of Celestia and Luna: Where they Mintys or Forgetfuls? Witch ever side they were on overall contributed the most and could do what they wanted with the other. It was a shook upon deal. Stuffing fireworks into a saddlebag, she started at a gallop towards an alleyway where she and her fellow Forgetfuls would meet. She trotted up to a small stairwell squeezed in between a coffeehouse and a pub. A seedy looking Colt with a mustard-colored mane put up a hoof as she approached. She showed the freshly inked Forgetful tatoo on her elbow and passed. After flights and flights of stairs she found herself in a cement room surrounded by ponies from near and far. She sat down at a graffiti etched table and had a glass of carrot juice as she played poker with a colt and a twin set of mares. Copies of the poster that started it all where on the walls, crossed out and even covered in cuss words. Finally a mare in a shadowy hood stood up on a table and cried " TONIGHT, WE RUN THIS TOWN!" she laughed. Everyone raised splashing glasses of carrot juice as the mare rolled down her hood and showed off her navy and pink mane. After everyone grabbed their pitchforks, hoes, shovels, torches, and other assorted weapons, Bon bon pulled out a photo of Lyra. She sighed. This war had driven her to madness but it was just never meant to be. She followed them with a gallon of kerosene. They marched up the hill to the castle, ambushing passing villages, herding up more followers, until the road was red with fire. The blaze could be seen for miles around.
...........
Princess Luna was tweaking the constellations around a bit on the balcony when she spied something rippling over the horizon. She was angry. Celestia didn't tell her it was time to raise the sun yet. She walked into the grand bedchamber where she saw Celestia admiring the garden outside the window. " Celestia!" she cried, " Thou did not tell thy the sun was to be raised!" Celestia turned. " What on earth do you mean? Luna, you simply must go to bed. I haven't even raised a spark of the sun yet!" Luna stopped in mid-stride. She ran to the balcony and saw the flickering faces of their once peaceful citizens bucking and smashing down the door. The unicorn members of the mob had used magic to tie up the guards in rope. Suddenly, the door shattered and the people let out cries of glee and ran inside. Luna ran back to her solar sister and cried, " Fly! Fly fly fly! Hurry! Thy angry citizens have stampeded our abode!!!" Celestia processed Luna's outdated form of speak and raised herself with her onto the balcony and took flight. However, down on the ground, ponies like Mischief Sparkles had been planning for this. Using their torches, they lit clusters of fireworks at a time and watched as they launched into the air and exploded in a shower of sparks, the sisters dodging frantically to avoid the flares. Mischief lit off her last firework and it hit Celestia right in the wing, braking the bone and sending her like a stone to the ground. They made a large circle to catch her and tied her up in rope, slapping her unconscious until she was unable to use her unicorn powers to escape. throwing her onto the back of the cart, a few where dispatched to dump her in the Everfree River while other stormed the castle and other sent flares up towards Luna. The castle was looted, then ever so carefully each room was soaked in kerosene. Luna zipped and dodged the explosives as fast as she could, sending down energy balls and watching as they exploded, sending ponies flying here and there. " to think," she thought to herself, " this was all the cause of a paste of teeth advertisement." she shook her head and finally escaped the mob shakily, and flew off a few miles until a long-shot flare struck her down, sending her into the unreachable depths of the forest, where her body fell, littered in weeds. Meanwhile, The Forgetfuls leader, ( Bon Bon ) and the Mintys leader, ( Lyra ) where planning on lighting the biggest missle left together on the spire. They both let down their hoods, nodded to each other, and grabbed a punk. After a blank stare at Lyra for a few minutes, in a sudden anti-logic burst of rage, she pushed her friend off the tower and watched her fall, arms out in shock, face twisted with heartbreaking sadness and writhing pain as her cape fluttered and she landed somewhere in the crowd. Gasping at her acts, Bon Bon turned away, bit her lip, and drew out some salty tears until she snapped into shape and lit the firework. Nimbly jumping from roof to roof, she escaped just in time as it exploded and the castle set off into a mountain, no, a volcano of fire.
With this blast and Lyra defeated, the war had begun.
The begining of the end
At first, no one thought the war would go anywhere. The country was split in two with a cement wall with a 8-wall lead gate. And so became Forgetful Grove and Minty Flats. Guards from each side kept the other out. You had to have filled out 23 pages of paperwork for a 12 hour draft to the other side. Phone service was choppy and monitored by the authorities. That was until Lyra found a power beyond belief. Celestia was laying on the table of Minty Flats Palace. The night after the war the forgetfuls brunt down Colgate's house in fury, and in despair and memory, Lyra ordered a castle erected there in it's honor to their cause. Lyra walked in and starred at the bound princess. " Only remove these bits of her head bindings." she said, pointing to a pattern in the linen. The guards tore them off, and underneath lay the princess's tiara in all its magnificence. " Ahhh..." Lyra said pawing it around and feeling its edges, its sheen, its faceted gem implanted in the gold. Slowly, hesitantly, Lyra place it on her head. She floated in the air, her eyes pure white aura, her mouth hanging open. Then, in a burning flash, her limbs stretched, her mane grew and rippled, wings sprouted out of her back, and she screamed in pain as another brighter flash appeared. Lyra stood panting in the center of the room, sweating. She got up, clumsily wobbled towards the full-body mirror in the hall. She put a hoof to her moth as her pupils got tiny and she screamed. She was exactly like the princess, and then... wasn't. she was herself, but not really. Smiling smugly, she flapped herself into the air and raised her arms as she raised the sun high above the palace, a glowing ball or magnificent heat. " Now, See how the Forgetfuls like when they freeze without their precious sun! " She laughed and laughed until her sides ached. Then she noticed Celestia. Her mane was now motionless and the solid pink it once was in her youth before her coronation. Her wings had vanished, leaving her in a state of relief as the agony of the split bone was gone. " Fool!" she whispered "The sun is not to be used like a lure or a toy. You can put the universe out of line in one instant!" She moaned. Lyra payed no attention to her. " Take her away. She has no power against me. And take off her gags if you wish. She can only manage lifting carrot. " Lyra gestured towards the door. Celestia screamed as she was dragged away, looking at Lyra's reflection in the mirror. She knew why Lyra was different from the princess's previous self: She had those feline eyes. Those green, jealous eyes of someone so jealous and angry they warp to insanity. She had known one once. Nightmare Moon.
Renegade fort
Colgate breathed deeply as she peeked from behind the corner. The guards had left her behind, leaving her safe to get out of Foregtful territory. The place was suffering. Lyra's corrupt hoarding of the sun had left it a dead place coated in ice and snow. Some had died from being deprived of vitamin d, others starvation, and Colgate had been living off whatever she could find until she found a way out of Forgetful clutches. Bon Bon had taken her captive after the fire and was holding her ransom for the sun. Luckily Colgate mustered all the magic she had left and teleported to the outskirts of town where she'd been hiding out for a while in an out of business jewelry store until she found some gems left and used them to bribe her way into a few homes for a night or two. Letting out a sigh of relief, Colagate galloped to a hole in the chain-link walls where a few Mintys had tried to black-market pawn some vegetables to some desperate Forgetfuls to make a quick buck. She slipped underneath, but accidentally brushed the electric barbs at the top. Air-raid sirens roared as search lights blazed over the grass to her. She blinked a moment but started running over the iced hills towards the tufts of the Everfree Forest. One of her hoofs slipped and she went sailing down the iced slopes, barely missing a tree by a few inches. her hoof was throbbing with pain, but there was no time to check the damage. She ran towards the dark canopy of the forest. Settling Beside a tree, she panted heavily as the light streamed through the forest's fog, letting her see the fine canopy of mist shrouding her in full light. Her chest began puffing as she breathed heavily in her agonizing pain. " SHE'S NOT HERE!" cried out one guard, gesturing to another place to search. Colgate sighed in relief as she dragged herself across slime and lumps of wet leaves, her legged swelled and burning in pain. She desperately crawled, looking around, her eyes burning wet with held back tears. Suddenly, she saw a light through the mist. She ducked under some leaves, thinking she had been found out. Suddenly she squinted and found it to be no more than the lantern of Zecora's hut. Colgate sighed in relief. If anyone could help her, It would be Zecora. Mustering all her strength, she shoved herself onwards towards the door. With her last bit of strength, she knocked three times on the hard oak. Suddenly, a burst of pain in her leg sent everything swirling into darkness.
.........
Colgate came back into consciousness under the face of Gilda. She was pouring a wooden bowl of warm greenish liquid down her throat. Colgate looked around the room. A few messy sleeping bags where placed around the room. The lantern had been hastily put out with a bucket of water and Zecora was holding a match in her teeth over Colgate's body to let Gilda see what she was doing. Twilight was flipping through a book frantically while Fluttershy was whimpering under a pillow in the corner. " Are they gone?" she asked, " Is it safe?" Colgate raised herself up only to cringe in pain as she saw her leg wrapped in a palm throng cast. " Guards followed you to our abode. We quickly faked the house being alone!" whispered Zecora in her usual rhyme. Gilda nodded. " We all are hiding out here until it's safe. Unfortunately, its not safe here anymore. Guards are patrolling for her." Gilda said, nodding to the shadowy form of Princess Luna, who then stepped into the fire's light and showed her baggy eyelids and bloodshot eyes. " She's a wolf's head." Twilight piped up. " Thy guards of Bon Bon's want my crown." She said, pointing to the simple indigo tiara on her head. " Thinks it'll give her power over the moon." Said Fluttershy, jittering around nervously. Twilight used her horn to lower Colgate onto a cot and lifted a quilt over her. " Get some sleep, my injured child. Tomorrow's eve may be much more wild!" Said Zecora, drawing the shades and barricading the door with a heavy iron cauldron. Colgate frowned to everyone sadly. " Aww, sweet mare, it is not your fault. What started this problem was a crude insult!" said Zecora, turning to face colgate. " Nowhere's safe anymore. Somehow, this whole thing's even made it's way to Cloudsdale. " Said Gilda, shaking her head sadly. " We have all left for our safety, but now all this brings is more misery." Sighed Zecora, lowering her head. " My potions are running low, for to get ingredients, my face I must show. This is a risk I can not take, for fear it would make a terrible mistake. However, we must fetch some sleep, but as for talk, there must not be a peep." said Zecora, Finally dunking the match into water and shunning out all light.
The ( Broken) elements of ( parcial) harmony
The next morning, Princess Solarium Equinox Brilancium Celestia awoke in the cement cell of the currently under construction Minty Palace. She was still getting used to being x2 smaller and having her old pink mane as long with losing the duty of raising the sun. She sat, looking at the cinder block wall in front of the triple-layered bars. She sighed for the 14th time that morning and kicked a chunk of rock. She was bored out of her mind. Suddenly, she turned around and saw the blue hoof tapping on her shoulder through the high back row of bars. She recognized those hoof covers.... Luna? A piercingly teal eye widened in shock through the bars. " Tia? Is thou ok? Thou has not seen thyself this way sense childhood!" Luna spoke softly. Celestia blushed, embarrassed. " I guess you're the big sister now." She chuckled sadly, pointing to the spot where her hair had molded to her tiara's shape. She tried molding it back into place, but it bounced back into its molded form. " Aww.... Do not be saddeth. Thou shall free thee from thy captures!" Luna held out the hand grenade she had been keeping in her rippling mane. Celestia's eyes widened. She didn't like the idea of her little sister running around with a high explosive weapon, but she couldn't argue with freedom. " Take the pin out of thy shell and thou hand grenade shall explode!" said Luna, looking happily at her handiwork. Celestia grabbed the bomb and carefully pulled out the pin, counted to 7, and rolled it through the bars.
CRASH!!!!
The inner foundation of the castle was ablaze, wood snapping and bricks falling. Luna quickly zapped the bars and made them warp away as Celestia frantically climbed out as the dungeon began to belch smoke and flames. Coughing, Celestia ran quickly and prepared to take off, then remembered she didn't have wings. Pouting, she turned to Luna pleadingly.
Luna didn't like the idea. But now that the order was reversed and Celestia was little again, It could be done. Clutching her younger sister's mane, they soared into the sky, arrows of guardsmen whizzing past them. " Ow! Thou is embracing thy mane much too tightly. " Said Luna, looking around at Celestia, clutching her mane, scared to look down at the sea of guardsmen below. " Tis foolish to fret! Thou will be safe after the safe altitude is reached!"Said Luna, letting out a burst of speed upwards and shutting her wings up, like a rocket. Through the blanket of clouds they burst, and soon enough they were safe high above weapon's reach. Luna flew through the cold and fluffy void above until she reached the secret coordinates of their " Camp" as one could call it. Down they landed in front of the hut. Then, looking around to make sure it was safe, Luna preformed the secret knock: 3 knocks left, 1 knock down, 6 and 1 half knocks upper left. The door swung opened and a zebra hoof beckoned the princess pair inside. Once inside, Luna showed her now younger/older sister to the few renegades to show the mission had been a success. When Celestia saw her student in the corner, she flushed in embarrassment when she realized even her student was taller than her. " Uh.... How is this week's assignment going? I see you've gone through a bit of a growth spurt." Said Celestia jokingly. Twilight looked in bleak shock. " P-princess? Why are you.... kind of.... small?" Twilight sputtered. Celestia sighed and pointed to the empty space where the tiara had been. " Well, if the crown is missing, we should probably go before Lyra goes Nightmare Moon on us." Said Fluttershy. Luna looked at her in held back fury, until a smile flashed across her face and she turned to her sister. " Tis it! We shall have the crown in no time!" Luna squealed happily. " Thou must maketh thy jealous! With most haste!" Luna said to her. Celestia cocked her head in confusion. " Why in hays name do you want me to make you jealous?" She asked. " Tis some left of her! Thy could become her again if needed!" Luna said, gesturing to her now very familiar looking mane. Celestia's eyes widened in shock. " You don't mean!...." She gasped. Then she burst into tears and clung to Luna's hoof. " It wouldn't be fair to me! To make me see everything all over again, and to make me send you to the moon again? No! I forbid you to do it." Celestia cried angirly, looking up at her sister's pouting face. Suddenly Luna's expression morphed into a smug smile. " Thou is not the big sister anymore." She said mockingly, then warped back to seriousness. " Tis to be done if the tiara is to be repocessed!" Luna said. " Now, thou must maketh thee as jealous as possible !" She said to her sister, with all seriousness. Celestia sighed. " And should thee get a bitteth out of hand, give thee candy and thou shall calmeth down." SO with that, Celestia began. " I invented the lunar eclipse to make you jealous! Nobody likes Nightmare Night! Your fanfictions suck! there never was a Mcdonalds toy of you! I banished you to season 2! I let your pet owl go while you where on the moon!" and on and on she rambled until Luna began to grind her teeth as her eyes widened in fury. Suddenly, they knew it was working when her eyes became feline-like and she started warping from periwinkle to black and back again. Her wings and horn shrunk and grew as she flashed in between colors until finally there was a sea of blue lightning and sparks and there stood Nightmare Moon. Or at least it looked like her. " THOU FEELETHS AWESOME!!!" Screamed Nightmare/Luna in Nightmare's voice. " Hey nightmare!" said Celestia, " The sun princess is in that big castle over there and she's not gonna lower the sun until somebody steals her crown." Celestia pried, batting her eyelashes like an innocent philly. " But first," said Twilight, " You're going to need this." She floated Rarity's necklace onto Nightmare, despite her disgusted look as the gold band clashed with her periwinkle armor. Celestia received Pinkie Pie's, Zecora had Rainbow dash's, Gilda got applejacks's and Twilight and Fluttershy wore their usual jewelry. " Come on, everypony. Let's go get that crown!" Twilight said in a motivational spirit, and with that, the group was out the door, hoping that somehow this would work.
