You didn't get to observe it for too long before she collected the mess with the last remaining energy in her horn and threw out the open window. You laughed a little and whispered in her ear.

"Well? Does it work okay?"

She looked at you with fatigued and passionate eyes for only a moment before answering you with another romantic kiss. She didn't use her tongue on you this time. Instead, she gently wrapped herself around you and kissed your lips softly as if she had no energy left. She parted with your lips just as suddenly as she met them, but kept her arms wrapped around you and tucked her head underneath your chin. You could feel her heavy breaths tickle the fur on your chest.

"I'll take that as a 'yes'."

You tightened your embrace affectionately and intertwined your hind legs with hers as she nuzzled her nose deep into your chest. You could tell that she was about to fall asleep.

"Hey, Alex?" She looked up at you and smiled. You almost swore that you could see a tear or two build up in her eye.

"Hm?"

"Thank you... For staying... I promise I'll make everything worth it to you."

You looked down at her compassionately. "Vinyl, you don't have to do anything special for me. Just being able to be with you is all I could ever wish for."

She grew a big smile on her face and tucked her nose into your chest again. You looked over her mane and towards the window to see that the sun was setting and you realized that the amount of time your fun took with Vinyl was longer than you thought. The sun's rays leaked in through the open shutters and made Vinyl's white fur radiate like an angel from heaven and you began playing with the fur on her back affectionately.

"Oh, and Vinyl?"

She looked back up at you, still keeping her muzzle snuggled into you. "Mhmm?"

"I love you too."

Her lips contorted strangely and she dug her entire face into your chest while holding you so tight that you could barely breathe. Sharp intakes of air from her nose hinted to you that she was happily crying and you felt her tears dampen your fur a bit. Instead of trying to console her, you held on to her and ran your hoof through her mane gently several times.

If someone had told you that you would be laying in bed naked with Vinyl scratch and whispering lovey-dovey things into each others' ears after passionate sex, you would've thought they were crazy. To be honest, a small portion of your mind doubted the experience you were having as just a long dream and that you would wake up in your bed back at your dorm room cursing your brain for giving you such a realistic dream. You nonchalantly and gently brought your chin down onto Vinyl's horn and, feeling a slight sharp pain, reassured yourself that it was real. The words you spoke to Vinyl after refusing to enter the portal still stuck with you. This was your new home. Even though you'd get to visit your world every once and awhile, this magical fantasy land that you thought never existed a month ago was the place where you would spend the rest of your life. In any other circumstance, you would've gone back. If it were any other world, you would have no trouble saying goodbye to any new friends you might have made.

However, as Princess Luna reminded you earlier, your future was here. You knew that whatever this world may have to offer, either good or bad, you could see yourself living here forever with Vinyl by your side every step of the way. And that's exactly what you planned on doing. You could tell by the way that she talked to you, the way she held you, and the way she kissed you that she wasn't going anywhere; neither were you.

As the last light of Celestia died over the horizon, your partner's slight sobbing died down and turned into gentle relaxed breathing. After whispering into her ear again and receiving no response, you guessed that she had dozed off. You reached down and pulled the bed sheets over the both of you and kissed her forehead gently without waking her. The comfort you felt from her warm body soon lulled you into drowsiness and, making sure Vinyl was okay, slowly closed your eyes. The last few stubborn rays of sun managed to leak through your eyelids and you squinted before cuddling your head into Vinyl's mane to protect your eyes from it. Finally feeling comfort, you let the soft heartbeat of Vinyl Scratch sing you to sleep.
