    Awakening

    Prologue-

Let me start off by saying that I and my friends involved in this story are all bronies and have almost complete knowledge of the characters and episodes. Just to so I can clear up some confusion that may accrue.

You know when you wake up, but you're so tired that you wake up with your eyes still closed? Well that happens to me a lot, so I wasn't surprised when it happened again one morning. I tried to go back to sleep but I just couldn't. I felt something soft and furry on my back but I wasn't surprised because I usually slept with my dog in my bed. But what was strange was that it felt like the fur was sticking to my skin. I ignored it and tried to go back to sleep. Then I realized I had a killer headache. I sat straight up and opened my eyes. When I opened them I was looking at the sky. There were a few things wrong with that. Firstly, I went to sleep in my bed with a roof over my head. Secondly, the sky looked... wrong. It looked like it was... drawn more or less. I saw the clouds and realized they looked wrong too. It looked like... they were from a cartoon. I rested my hands on the ground. The ground too felt wrong. For one thing, it was grass and was really soft. And my "hands" felt wrong too. I was still busy looking at the sky, but it felt like my hand was constantly balled up in a fist.

    Slowly, I brought my "hands" up to eye level. It took me a second to realize that the two brown ovals in front of me were my hands. And below my hands I could make out what were supposed to be my legs and feet. But to my horror, they were oddly shaped and covered in red fur. I could even see an orange tail between them. I was so awe struck, that I didn't notice the other figures beginning to stir around me on the ground. I finally broke trance with my hooves (even though I didn't realize they were hooves at the time) and looked around and saw... cartoon ponies lying all around me. I tried to stand up on my two legs, and eventually did. It was very awkward and I could only walk a few feet before I fell onto my front legs. I heard a pony sit up and heard it say;

"God. I've got the worst headache." The red and white pony said while he rubbed his eyes. "Wait, what the..." he had just noticed his hooves. "Holy shit! What the fuck!?" As he screamed I recognized the voice in disbelief.

    "M...Mike?" I asked tentatively.

"What the..? Hunter? Is that you? I must be fucking dreaming."

"Must be." Came a voice from behind me with a slight chuckle in the voice. "It's still a pretty cool dream though right? Lol." He looked right at me. "Hunter, wow. And Mike? You two look pretty cool as a pony. Is everyone here?" He asked looking around at the sleeping ponies I finally recognized the voice.

"Carl?" Mike and I asked at the same time.

    "You bet faggots."

"Umm... this seems a little real for a dream doesn't it?" I asked slowly.

"Well the ground feels pretty soft, but I've felt dreams before." he said with a shrug.

The three of use heard a noise and turned to a pony who we just realized was staring up at the sky. "Must be a dream..." I heard him say under his breath. I regonized that voice immediately.

"Zack's here too? This is actually turning into a pretty cool dream." Carl said from my right.

Zack looked at the three of us and said "Are you sure this is a dream? I mean, we're fucking ponies, but... I can feel the grass."

We didn't have the chance to answer. The two other figures sat up almost at the same time. The blue and red one took a look around and just screamed. Literally as loud as humanly (ponyly?) possible.

"What the fuck!?" He screamed. I recognized his voice too. His name was Justin. I realized my senses were becoming clearer and clearer. The other one was just sitting open mouthed at us.

"This a dream?" Justin asked dazed.

"That's exactly what I'm thinking Justin." I heard Carl say.

Finally, the last pony to talk just said; "You've got to be kidding me." He had a thick British accent.

"Josh." The other five of us said in unison.

For a little while we all just sat/stood there waiting for something to happen. I was the one to break the silence.

"Okay, there's no way this is a dream." I said determined. "This is way too fucking real."

"Well this is my dream, so I don't give a shit about what you think Hunter." Carl said with a scoff. "If this wasn't a dream, why are we ponies?" he said stating the obvious.

"This does feel pretty real..." Zack said.

"Well considering you're part of the dream, I'm sure it does." Carl said again.

I saw Zack try to stand up on two legs like I did at first, and then fall onto all fours just like I did. He trotted right up to Carl and punched him in the arm.

"Ow! What the hell faggot?" Carl said with slight rage in his eyes.

"Yeah. No way this is a dream." Zack replied to everyone.

"Okay," Mike said "This doesn't make any sense. There's Hunter, Zack, Carl, Josh, Justin, and me, and we're all ponies. There's no way it can be anything except a dream."

"Then how come we can feel everything like it's real?" Asked Josh.

"You can't tell me you've never felt ANYTHING in a dream before." Carl chimed in.

"And you can't tell me that punch to the arm didn't feel real." Zack replied without missing a beat.

"Okay, okay." I said starting to speak. "Let's just all recap the last thing we remember. I remember going on the computer for a while after school, then I went on Xbox and played with Carl and Mike, then I went to bed. Then I woke up here with freaking hooves, a tail, and..."

"And wings!" Justin shouted pointing with his blue colored hoof at my back.

I turned around in a circle a few times rapidly trying to see the supposed wings. To my surprise and disbelief, he was right. I had wings! I tried to move them but couldn't. It took me a few seconds to figure out how. They were pretty small when folded against my sides, but they grow considerably longer when I unfolded them. I tried flapping them for a while before tiring myself out. I was still really tired from waking up and I guessed from other fanfics and from the show itself that it took a lot of energy to fly.

I looked back in the direction of the others and I saw them looking over themselves trying to find if they had wings as well. Mike found he had wings and did essentially the same thing I did when I found my wings. Justin and Carl found that they had horns on their forehead's (which I somehow hadn't noticed before) and Josh and Zack found no horns or wings.

"Hey. Two pegasi, two unicorns, and two earth ponies." Remarked Josh.

"Okay, okay, let's get back to where we were." I said trying to sound assertive. "Carl, what do you remember?" My question fell on deaf ears. Carl was completely focused on his horn and began to look like he was trying to poop. "Carl, what the fuck are you doing?" I asked trying to gain his attention.

He exhaled. "Trying to see if I can do anything with this horn." He turned his focus back to his horn and sucked in more air. He began to get the same face as before. His purple furred face turned nearly red as he held his breath longer. Finally, as it looked like he was about to faint, a small spark emitted from his horn.

"Holy shit!" He screamed. "Did you just see that!? I did magic!" He said gleefully.

"I thought this was all a dream." Zack said sarcastically.

"Well whatever this is, I wanna stay here!" Carl replied enthusiastically.

"Carl. What do you remember about last night?" I asked again.

He turned his focus to me finally. "Oh, I don't know. I played Xbox. Raged and got off. And I went to bed."

"Thanks Carl, real helpful." I said sarcastically.

"Well I just remember going to bed and waking up here too." Josh said.

    "Me too." Zack chimed.

"Same here." Justin and Mike both said.

"Well I think we can all agree this isn't a dream." Zack said trying to calm everyone down.

I supposed before I go any further I should describe what we all looked like. Mike was almost pure white. His coat and mane were almost all pure white. His mane did have thick red streaks going through it as well, but besides that, he was all white. I realized that he even had a cutie mark. I looked at it closely and saw that it was three wings arranged in a triangle connected in the center by a small golden circle. He also had blue/green eyes. Carl was mainly purple with green hair which I thought was pretty funny. He had pretty much the same eyes as Mike. His cutie mark was the biohazard symbol. I turned to Zack who frankly looked ridiculous. He was a light pink color with black spiky hair. Even his tail was spiky. His cutie mark was a magnifying glass. Justin was a dark blue color with a red spot around his mouth and horn. The red spots perfectly matched the color of his mane which was a lightish red. He had two hockey sticks that crossed as a cutie mark. Josh was the most plain pony there. He had a dark gray coat, and a mane that was slightly darker. His cutie mark was a comb.

"Well we look just like background ponies." I said acknowledging the fact. "What do I look like anyway? I can't really see my cutie mark or anything."

"Well, I guess you can tell you have very dark red fur. And an orange mane and tail. And... It looks like your cutie mark is a... Flame?" Justin said trying to be helpful.

I strained to look at my flank (it was a little weird acknowledging that I had a flank and a cutie mark) and saw that it was just that. A simple flame.

"So." Mike said. "What are we supposed to do now?"

As soon as the words left Mike's mouth I could begin to see a small speck off in the distance behind him. Carl saw it too.

    "What's that?" Carl asked pointing.

The three who hadn't seen the dot immediately turned their attention to it. As it got closer, we realized it was a dust cloud.

"Why is there a dust cloud when all around us is grass?" Asked Zack.

"Well there's mountains all around us. And... I think I can see a town or something from behind the dust cloud." I said actually looking around for the first time. "And this is a cartoon. So I guess cartoon things can happen."

"You think they're looking for us?" Josh asked. "It looks like they're coming right at us."

"Well," Carl said in an assertive voice. "If it is people-"

    "Or ponies."

"Right. If it's people OR ponies we need to think of what we're going to tell them."

"Well, let's just tell them like it is. We woke up here with no memory." Justin said.

"Well if this is all real and it's going to be ponies coming from over there, we can't say we went to sleep has humans and woke up here as ponies. They'd think we're crazy." I thought out loud.

"Maybe we are crazy." Zack said depressingly. "Maybe it's just a bad drug trip or something."

"Well I don't do drugs..." Justin said rolling his eyes.

"Regardless," Carl said again trying to take charge. "let's just say we woke up here with no memory. I mean in a world with magic, why wouldn't it make sense?"

"He's right." I said reassuringly. "Let's just see what they think of us too."

The dust cloud was now very close. We could begin to make out shapes through the dirt. We counted five figures on the ground running, and one in the air flying. We couldn't make out any details, but it was pretty clear that they were ponies.
We just sat there, waiting for the cavalry to arrive, when we could begin to see the colors of the ponies.

"No way. Just no fucking way." I heard Carl said softly.

"I'm not sure if this is going to be good, or bad." Josh said rising to all fours.

I was still could hardly believe it myself. As the figures got closer we were all reassured about what we thought we saw. We all just watched the six ponies walked (or flew) up to us. Finally, they reached talking distance. None of us could move. The pony in the front trotted even closer to us. We were in awe.

"Hello. My name is Twilight Sparkle."

    Part 2

    Part 2

We couldn’t breathe. None of us. We watched as the purple pony said again with slight uncertainty in her voice. “Umm... Hello? I said my name is Twilight Sparkle.” She said again waiting for a response. When she got none, she said; “Well... I was practicing a new spell to help the pegasi make more thunderclouds. There’s been a flu going around Ponyville for a while and a lot of ponies couldn't make it to work. Anyways, the spell didn’t exactly work out and I saw a rainbow colored lightning bolt strike over in this direction. We had to make sure everypony was okay.”

By now most of us had gotten over the shock of have the Twilight Sparkle standing in front of us and talking, but we hadn’t gotten over the fact that all of the other Mane Six were standing right behind her looking at us.

“Umm... Are you boys alright?” Asked Rarity. “You look like you’ve seen something horrible. Is it this hat? I knew I should never wear red out in this light. It always clashes with my hair.” She was speaking to us like she knew us already. “Oh, where are my manors, my name is Rari-” Stupidly, I cut her off.
“Rarity.” I said knowing my mistake almost immediately.

“Oh, why, yes! It is! How did you know?” She asked happily. I was struggling to find a believable reply when she said; “Oh, you must know of my famous dresses! Silly me, I almost forgot!” I was relieved that she didn’t push anymore questions.

“HI!” I heard a voice yell from behind Rarity. “Mine name is Pinkie Pie!” Pinkie said jumping up and down to get a look at us. She rushed up to the front our group and shook all of our hoofs almost with out us realizing.

“Howdy.” A southern accent chimed. “I’m Applejack.” Applejack said causly.

Rainbow Dash quickly descended from above. “I’m Rainbow Dash. The fastest flier this side of Canterlot.” Rainbow Dash said with her typical pride. She seemed to be talking to me and Mike more directly. I assumed it was because we were pegasi.

“I’m Fluttershy.” Fluttershy said from behind the safety of her friends. She was looking at the ground while talking in her typical, shy ways.

“Well, you know all of our names. What’s yours?” Twilight said with her polite smile. I could tell she was a little suspicious of us.

“I’m Just-” Justin tried to say before I clamped my hoof down hard on his mouth.

“His name is... Umm...” I looked around for any inspiration. My eyes fell on Justin’s cutie mark. “His name is Goalie!” I said with a burst of thought. Justin shook me away.

“What? What are you talking about? My name isn-” This time Mike was the one who covered his mouth from behind. Justin looked up in surprise at Mike. Mike just slowly shook his head. I saw Justin’s eyes widen with the realization that I hoped everyone else had come up with. We couldn’t use our regular names because it would be extremely weird. I mean in a world where somepony is named “Fluttershy” or “Twilight Sparkle” names like “Carl” and “Justin” would sound just as ridiculous in their world as their names sound in our world.

We all turned and saw the six ponies looking at us as if we were crazy. “Oh, sorry.” Mike said with a shrug. “Goalie here just sometimes... forgets stuff...” Mike said the last words as if they were a question.

“Okay?” Twilight said obviously confused about our previous actions. “What are the rest of your names?” It was easy to tell she was suspicious now. The other five of her group looked slightly skeptical but not as much as Twilight.

“Oh... Umm... My names...” I said pausing to try to think of a name. I looked at my own cutie mark like I did for Justin. “Pyro.” I said flatly. “My name is Pyro.”

“I’m Blitz Fly.” I heard Mike say after me. I wondered how he came up with such a good name so quickly and easily, but didn’t really care.

“I’m... well....” Josh said looking around like I did. He spotted his cutie mark much like I did for myself and Justin. “Cob. My name is... Cob...” Josh said like he regretted saying it.

“Cob? Like corn on the cob?” Pinkie Pie said enthusiastically. “I LOVE corn on the cob! Applejack here grows really good corn on the cob! And sometimes she heats up the corn off the cob and makes popcorn! But popcorn doesn’t come on a cob. It’s only off the cob. I wonder if popcorn on the cob would be better or worse? I guess it’d be messy with all of that butter on your hooves.” Pinkie Pie said in her typical, rambling, rushed sort of way.

“She IS always crazy like that.” I heard Zack say with a slight giggle. He didn’t realize his mistake until it was too late.

“How would you know how she’s usually like?” Twilight asked pressing her face closer to Zack’s. To Zack’s credit, he didn’t miss a beat and acted completely cool.

“Oh, I’m sorry. I meant; IS she always crazy like that?”

“Yeah, she can be pretty crazy.” Rainbow Dash said while lightly punching Pinkie in the shoulder.

“What’s with all of these questions Twi?” Applejack said speaking up.

“Oh nothing...” Twilight said obviously hiding her true feelings. “What is YOUR name anyway?” She asked facing Zack again. This time, Zack didn’t really have a good answer.

“Soap.” He said trying to act cool again. Even we had to look at him like he was crazy.

“Soap?” No one in particular said.

“...Umm... yeah. My parents... really... liked.. soap?” Zack said suddenly uncertain of his choice of name.

“And what’s your name?” Twilight said almost as if not even trying to hold back her suspicion. There was only one person (or pony?) that hadn’t said their name yet. Carl.

“Raito.” He said calmly. It was pretty obvious now that I thought about it. He used his old Xbox Live Gamertag. I almost laughed out loud at that idea.

“Oh my, sounds foreign.” Rairty said. “Where are you gentlecolts from anyway?”

“Oh yeah... we’re from... Fillydelphia.” I said recalling that only city name I could remember from the show besides Ponyville and Canterlot.
“How’d y’all get out here in the middle of no where then?” Applejack asked innocently.

“We... don’t exactly remember...” Carl said actually remembering the plan we tried to forge before the Mane Six arrived. “We just remember going to sleep last night, then waking up here.” With that Twilight grew even more suspicious then I thought possible.

“So, you’re telling us, that you woke up here in the middle of no where, with no memory of how you got here, and....” She said as if she wanted us to continue for her.

    “That’s all.” Justin said.

“Well, you seem to all know each other.” Twilight said cocking her eyebrow. “How did you all meet?”

“On the inter....” I was able to catch myself before I said internet. “...change. Yeah, we met on the interchange of a train station.”

    “Anything else?” Twilight pressed.

    “Nope.”

    “No.”

    “Nothing.”

    “Nada.”

    We all said quickly.

“Well what did you all do in Fillydelphia?” Rarity asked. I was beginning to despise her for asking questions.

“We... don’t remember... that either...” Josh said looking at the ground.

"You don’t remember what you did for work?” Fluttershy asked finally saying something besides her name. “Sounds awful.”

“Yeah. It’s real frustrating.” Mike said smiling and rubbing the back of his head.

“Hey, I have an idea!” Pinkie said with a huge smile. “Why don’t you try that memory spell that you used on us after that meanie Discord made us all messy wessyied up?” She said to Twilight.

“Sounds like a great idea, Pinkie.” Twilight said as she lowered her head and pointed her horn at us. Without warning she charged at us and went to me first. She pressed her horn against my forehead and I felt a cool, rushing sensation pool into my brain. I wasn’t sure what to expect, but all that happened was I felt like I learned something. I didn’t see anything from the past, but I felt like something had changed. Then I realized what it was.

“Fireworks.” I said staring aimlessly at nothing. “I... used to make... fireworks.” I said slightly confused with my own words. Then I realized it was true. I now knew how to make fireworks. It was like I’d been taught everything about them in less then ten seconds. I looked around and realized that Twilight had already done the spell to the other five in my group and were starting to get the same look I did.

“I.. think I remember... being a DJ...” Mike said. His focused features suddenly got relaxed and I saw him roll his eyes. “That’s not cliche at all...”

“I think I was your producer...” Carl said. “Yeah. I remember too. You made on album and I was about to release it...” Carl said as if trying remember something on the tip of his tongue. “Can’t remember anything else.” Carl said clearly frustrated.

“I was a barber...” Josh said slightly confused. “I guess that explains my cutie mark.”

“I was a sports coach.” Justin said in that “as a matter of fact” kind of tone.

“I think I was a student councilor.” Zack said as if he was very confused. “That... doesn’t really make sense. But it feels like that’s my job. Huh.” He said with a shrug.

“Well that’s kinda weird.” Rainbow said scratching her head. “Cheerilee was just saying on how she wanted to have a sports team for the elementary school, but she didn’t have a coach. And she wanted to have a councilor for the kids to talk to while she was teacher other classes.” She said to Zack and Justin. She then turned to Josh. “And our barber, Mr. Snips, just moved to Canterlot last week.” Now she turned to Mike and Carl. “And Vinyl Scratch just opened a new recording studio and was trying to get some ponies to record with her.” Now she turned her rainbow colored mane to me. “And we love fireworks in Ponyville, but we’ve always had to import them from Canterlot which cost’s a lot more money.”

Twilight looked as if she was going to burst with suspicion. “So you all mean to tell me, that you don’t remember anything, even after my memory spell, except that you all have jobs that the town needs right now? And that you’ve all met before and have weird names?”

“Twilight! It’s not nice to make fun of other ponies’ names!” Pinkie Pie said with a glare.

“And maybe it had something to do with your magic lightning that made them loose their memory in the first place.” Rainbow said turning to Twilight. “Why are you so aggressive towards them anyway?”

“I’m just suspicious is all.” Twilight said stating the obvious.

“And regardless, they have jobs the town needs. What’s wrong with that?” Applejack said. “I say, let’s bring them to down and let them settle down. With nearly guaranteed jobs, why not?” She said turning to us. “So what do y’all boys say? Ponyville is a mighty fine town. And friendliest folks you could ever meet.”

We were all in shock again. They were asking us if we wanted to live in Ponyville, and take jobs that would help the town out immensely. You might as well asked water to be wet.

“YES!” Justin said literally leaping up in the air. He fell on his face. Everyone laughed. Even Twilight giggled slighty.

“But where would we live?” Josh asked curiously. “We have no money to do anything.”

“OH! I know!” Said Pinkie jumping up and down again. “We can all pitch in a little money to help you guys buy a house and enough money to buy food until you guys can get your own jobs! You’re all good friends right? So it would be like a slumber party, but forever!” Pinkie said as excitedly as if it were her having a never ending slumber party.

“Sure, I’ll help out if you fellers are going to end up helping the town.” Applejack said with a smile.

“I’ll pitch in too!” Rainbow Dash said excitedly. “I’ll even show you two a few of my favorite flight moves.” She said to Mike and me.

“Of course I’ll help out. After all, what would the world be if ponies didn’t help out their fellow ponies.” Said Rarity with a small, but cute, smile.

“I’ll pitch in too. I mean, if it’s okay with you...” Fluttershy said still looking at the ground.

Now that only left Twilight who was getting anticipated looks from here friends. She sighed and shrugged, almost as if trying to shrug away her suspicion.

“I guess.” She said, not looking too happy about it. But she didn’t look suspicious anymore either, which was a start.

“Yay!” Pinkie Pie screamed. “Let’s go and find you all a house right now!” And took off running the direction they came.

“You get used to it.” Applejack said smiling nudging Mike.

You can tell that everyone was trying to hide the fact that they were extremely excited, but weren’t doing such a good job at it. Even I couldn’t stop smiling. I watched as the ten ponies began walking towards town, even thought Pinkie had already run way ahead and had to run all the way back.

    “Pyro, is it?”

For a moment I didn’t realize who Twilight was talking to. Then I remembered it was me. I turned quickly to try and make up for the slow response.

“Yes? Twi... Twilight right?” I said trying to sound as if this was my first day meeting her.

“I’m not sure if you’re telling me the whole truth or not, but I don’t really care about that. I don’t care about any of you too much either. But if you even try to hurt my friends, I will make sure you regret it.” After her words were said, she trotted up to catch up with the group.

I was caught off guard by Twilight’s threat, but tired not to think of it. I even found the smile returning to my face. I was here. In Equestria. As a pony. How could I not smile. And I ran up to catch up with my friends. Both the old, and the new.
    End Part 2

    Part 3

Writers Note: Sorry if this chapter isn't as good as quality as the others. I was really tired when I wrote and proofread this. Thanks to everypony for reading!

    Part 3

It was a long walk back to town. All of my friends were talking and having a good time with the Mane Six. I was perfectly happy watching them be happy, so I didn't really talk. I only heard bits and pieces of conversation. From what I could tell, they were asking pretty obvious questions. “What do you do for a living.” “What are other ponies like in town.” I was thankful that they were just smart enough to know that they shouldn't show that they knew pretty much all of the answers to the questions they were asking.

As we walked on, I realized that only two ponies who weren't talking. Me and Twilight. Twilight was walking forward with her head bent slightly down, as if thinking intently. Trying to be friendly, and to spur up a conversation, I trotted up next to her. I kept walking next to her for about two minutes, hoping that she would be the one to start the talking. She acted like she didn’t even notice me.

“So...” I said with slightly nervous tone. “Any good libraries in the town?” I could see her ears and eyes perk up, but she didn’t respond. “I love reading.” I went on, not lying for a change. “I’ve read about 30 books last summer.” I was trying to get her to talk, but she was clearly not interested. “Oh, come on. You look like a well pony who enjoys the luxury of books.” I said hoping that she didn’t get suspicious of my foreknowledge of her like for books.

“I’m the town’s librarian.” She said flatly with no emotion. I felt like I had to try to keep the conversation going, or she would never even like me and my group.

“Really?” I said trying to sound somewhat surprised. “I’m sure then you must have read some interesting books then.” I went on hoping that she would jump into the conversation. “My favorite genre is action and adventure. You know, like....” I stopped realizing that I didn’t know any books from this universe. She looked up at me for once like she was genuinely interested in my answer. Possibly because she might have thought she caught me in a lie.

“Like...” I continued to stall. I finally just took a shot in the dark. “Like Band of Colts.” I said mixing the HBO TV Series Band of Brothers with ponies. I got extremely lucky.

“I heard about that one.” Twilight said just as flatly as before. “I ordered it for the library about a week ago.” She still wouldn't make eye contact.

“What’s your favorite genre?” I asked hoping that she would show at least some emotion. She just walked there for a while, seemingly pawning her thoughts.

“I like mysteries.” She said with just a hint of enthusiasm in her voice. “Like the Detective Barn stories.”

“Oh, I haven’t read those yet.” I said with a smile. “What’s it about?” I said trying to prolong the conversation. Now she finally looked at me.

“You haven’t read one of the most classic mysteries of all time?” She asked. But she asked me this question in a different way. It wasn’t accusing, it wasn’t suspicious. It was... almost friendly.

“I’m more into recently published stories.” I replied.

“Well,” she started, “it’s a true story all about Detective Barn, as I assume you would’ve guessed, who is about to find the most notorious serial killer of the time, Hayblood Pie.” I looked at Twilight for a second in confusion. I slowly turned to Pinkie Pie, who was talking to Zack (or I guess I should start calling him Soap...) about how she got her job at Sugar Cube Corner.

“Umm.... Did you say Hayblood PIE?” I asked Twilight while quickly nudging my head towards Pinkie.

“Oh, no. No, no.” She said with a slight giggle. “Pinkie’s family has done multiple historic checks. There’s no relation.” Even though I believed her, it brought the story Cupcakes to my mind. But laughed at the idea of Pinkie Pie being a murderer.

“What?” Twilight asked making me realize that I laughed out loud.

“Oh nothing, just something a friend once wrote to me.” I said being forced to lie again. But Twilight didn’t get suspicious, or at least didn’t show it.

“Anyways, Detective Barn just found a major clue to where Hayblood is and whom he is planning on killing next, when he receives a letter from non other than Hayblood himself. He must clear evidence, misdirect the investigation, and eventually frame somepony from his own unit or else Hayblood threatens to kill Detective Barn's family. And... well I don’t want to give anything away.” She said smiling again. “I have tons of copies at the library if you want to read them.”

“Sounds great!” I said being really interested by the story.

“Hey!” A voice shouted from somewhere in the herd of ponies. “My farm’s not very far from here. We can go there and catch some grub before we head on into town.” Applejack said.

Now, I’m going to be honest here. Ever since I started to watch My Little Pony, I’ve eaten a ton more apples, solely because of Applejack. Everypony in the group seemed to nod and grumble with agreement. I hadn’t realized it before due to all the excitement, but I was actually starving. And by looking at my friends, I could guess they were too.

It was only a five minute walk from where we were to Sweet Apple Acres. I’m not sure if it was because they never showed the whole farm in one scene, or if it was because I was seeing it with my own two eyes but, Sweet Apple Acres was extremely huge. And I mean EXTREMELY. I couldn’t believe that the seemingly quiet farm from the television show was so small in comparison.

“You city boys never seen an apple orchard before?” AJ said with a laugh.

“Never one so big...” Mike said in awe.

“Well, the house is over that away.” AJ said pointing.

We all trotted up to her house when we saw Apple Bloom, Scootaloo, and Sweetie Belle kicking around a soccer ball and laughing aimlessly. Scootaloo saw us first.

“Hey Rainbow Dash!” She yelled excitedly and immediately ran up towards us with her wings flapping as hard as they could.

“Hey AJ.” Apple Bloom said causally.

“Hi Sis.” Sweetie Belle said just as causally.

Apple Bloom and Sweetie Belle walked up to us slowly while Scootaloo was already right in front of Rainbow Dash.

“Hey Rainbow!” Scootaloo said not even noticing us. “Are you ready to show me those super cool moves you said you first learned!?”

“HeHe, sorry kid, I’ll have to do that some other time. We just found these guys in the Colt Plains.” RD said gesturing at us. “They don’t really remember much.”

By now the other two Cutie Mark Crusaders had caught up to Scootaloo and had heard what RD had said. The three looked at us with confusion in their faces.

“What do you mean they don’t remember much?” Apple Bloom said puzzled.

“Well, it seems that they don’t recall how they got there, and much of anything else.” Rarity stated.

    “Why?” Scootaloo pressed.

“Your guess is as good as mine.” Twilight said giving the six of us a side glance.

“Well nice to meet you all!” Apple Bloom said just as friendly as her big sister. “My names Apple Bloom.” The other two fillies unnecessarily introduced themselves too.

“Hey sugarcube,” Applejack said to Apple Bloom, “does Granny Smith have any apple pies baked right now?” Applejack said returning us to the fact that we were starving.

“She sure does!” Apple Bloom replied with a big, toothy grin. “I counted at least 15 pies in there.” She said gesturing over at the house.

“That should be more than enough for all of us.” AJ said talking to everypony. “You girls want some too?” The Cutie Mark Crusaders all nodded in agreement.

The 15 of us walked up to the house with the Mane Six in the front and the rest of us hanging back.

“So what’s all your names?” Sweetie Belle asked the six of us with a cute smile.

We all introduced ourselves with surprising ease. I mean, we just came up with our names not an hour ago, and we seemed pretty accustomed to our new names already. We walked into the house with the welcoming smell of all things apples. It smelled wonderful.

“Would you boys like some ice cream with your pie?” Rarity said holding the ice cream and the ice cream spoon with her magic.

After an hour or so, all of the pies had been eaten, and all of the ice cream either melted, or eaten too. It felt good to have a stomach full of delicious food. All I could help to do was to stay awake. Pretty much everypony else in the room felt the same way I did. Josh was the one to brake the silence.

“That. Was. Beyond delicious.” He said licking the melted ice cream off his spoon.

“Well, there’s a reason why Granny Smith has an apple pie cutie mark.” AJ said starting to put dishes in the sink. I saw Josh rise from his seat at the table.

“Here, let me help you with that.” He said beginning to try to take the plates from Applejack’s hooves.

“Naahhh...” AJ said politely. “You’re all guests here, I’ve got these.” With that, the rest of the colts in the room rose up and began to take dishes off the table. Applejack was surprised by this, and didn’t notice Josh slip the dishes away from her grasp.

“Exactly,” Josh said smiling “you’re the hostess, and we should help clean up.”

Apple Bloom told Applejack that she and her friends were going back outside to play some more ball. After they left, it was only the six mares and six colts in the room all sitting lazily at the table or on chairs in the living room. Rarity, of course, was the one to break the tranquillity.

“Oh my! Look at the time! I didn’t realize it was so late!” She quickly scooted to the door and opened it. “Sweetie Belle!” she yelled a little too loud. “I’ve got to bring you back to mother’s house!” In front of her her I saw the setting sun and realized that it must have been pretty late by now. I even realized that the meal we just ate was more like dinner than lunch.

“I simply must be going.” Rarity said turning back to us. “I’ve still got to get my sister home before I can get some much needed beauty sleep from being out in the sun all day.” She said tossing her mane behind her head.

“I suppose I should be going too.” Twilight said rising to all fours.

“But what about you guys?” Pinkie said to us. “Where are you going to sleep?” She asked with genuine concern in her voice.

“Well, if you fellers don’t mind, you could easily sleep in the barn. There’s a lot of room and a lot of soft hay.” Applejack said rising from her seat as well.

“Sleep,” Carl said lazily, “that sounds wonderful...” he said dreamily.

“Well then it’s settled.” Rainbow Dash said assertively. “You guys can stay here tonight, and starting tomorrow, we’ll all help you guys try and find a place to live.”

“Sounds fine by me.” Justin said, his eyes starting to seriously droop.

“Alright then. I’ll bring out some pillows and blankets for you guys.” Applejack said starting towards the door. “Apple Bloom! Time to come in!” She yelled.

“Well, it was very nice meeting you all.” Twilight said more or less looking directly at me. “I’m sure, we’ll find something that will be suitable for you all tomorrow.”

“And I’ll make sure to bring lots of cake for snacks tomorrow!” Yelled Pinkie Pie hopping in front of Twilight.

We all said our goodbyes and thanks as the five ponies left. AJ led us to the barn and, as promised, brought out pillows and blankets for us. We all expressed our gratitude as she left and closed the barn door.

“Wow.” Carl was the first to say. “Just... wow.”

“What a day.” Justin said letting out a deep sigh. He chuckled and said, “Best day of my life. Period.”

We all mumbled some sort of agreement, but all too tired to actually form any more sentences. I was really tired, but I couldn't stop thinking about the whole day and the fact that we were still here, in Equestria, as ponies. And that we just ate dinner with the Mane Six. As sleep slowly coaxed it’s way into my brain, I prayed with all my might, that when I woke up tomorrow, I would still be here.

    Part 4

Author’s Note: Hey guys, I know it’s been a while since I’ve done anything with this story. I’ve had a few other stories I wanted to write, and of course the Write Off. I’m also pretty busy all week so I don’t have as much time to write as I like. Anyway, before I continue this story, I want you guys to be honest. Do you think I should continue on with this story? I enjoy writing it, but there are a few other projects I would like to start working on. It’s just that I’m not getting a whole lot of feedback from anyone except two guys. (One of them is my friend.) So unless I got more positive feedback, I just don’t see much of a point in continuing this story. I also didn’t know this topic was so overused when I started writing. I guess it’s my own fault, for thinking that I was being original. I also feel that my writing style may be a little different from the previous chapters. It’s just that after writing about more serious topics, I’ve found myself more accustomed to writing seriously, while I wanted this story to be light-hearted. Regardless, here is Part 4.

    Part 4

I woke up first. The hay and barn floor had not been kind to my back, so it felt like I was stiff as a board. There was only a small window above the barn door, but it still showed a purplish-orange sky, telling me it was still near dawn. The five other ponies around me were still sleeping soundly. I forced myself into the sitting position, ingoing the protests from my spine. I hate being the first one up. I thought bitterly to myself. I had no idea what to do. I didn’t want to wake any of my sleeping friends, but I wasn’t sure how long they would be alone and bored. But then, I remembered why I woke up.

It sounded like someone (or should I start saying somepony?) had hit the side of a house with a sledge hammer. Confused, I slowly rose from my spot on the floor. The barn door was slightly ajar, only a small crack revealing the outside world. I did my best to tip toe (but I don’t have any toes...) around the sleeping ponies, and finally made my way to the door. I put my eye against the small crack and was suddenly blinded by the sun. After my pupils dilated correctly, I could see what was producing the loud sound.

I see a very perky looking Applejack using her strong legs to buck apples out of a tree. Sleep was still heavy on my eyes, and I wondered how she could be so full of energy so early in the morning. The sun even seemed sluggish to wake up and crawl over the mountains in the distance. Yet there was the farm pony, working her tail off before the sun had even fully risen. I was a bit surprised that I was the only one who was woken by the sound. I wasn’t really a light sleeper, but I wasn’t a heavy sleeper either. But to be honest, I was glad there was someon- somepony who I could talk to before my friends woke up.

I was a little cautious at first, but I finally gained the courage to slowly open the barn door. I reeled back when I heard the old wood squeak in protest. I look back and see that no pony in the barn had woken yet, and that Applejack was still busy bucking apples. I quickly opened the door just enough so I could slip through, and then shut it just as quickly. I hoped that I didn’t wake anypony up, but I was glad to be out in the fresh air.

Regardless if the ponies in the barn heard the door close, Applejack did hear it. She cast her gaze up towards me and smiled. She quickly left her work behind her and trotted over towards me. “Well hi there Pyra.” Applejack said, putting extra “ya” on the end of my fake name. “Hope mah apple bucking didn’t wake ya up.” she said still smiling.

“Oh well, it kinda did.” I said awkwardly kicking the ground. “But it’s alright. I’m wide awake now.”

“Oh, hehe. Sorry ‘bout waking ya up. Ah usually don’t even start bucking this early.” I was happy that she was making conversation. I could have never done this back on Earth, especially if it was with a girl.

“Then why would you today?” I asked her. I still felt pretty awkward talking to her.

“Oh, my brother is outta town with my granny, so I have to do all his work for em’.” AJ started. “They went to Appleoosa to help our cousins bring in their Zap Apple crop.” I instantly remembered the Family Appreciation Day episode, but luckily remembered to keep the act up. I did my best to look confused, which wasn’t really hard. All I thought about was; how was Two and a Half Men considered funny? It seemed to do the trick.

“Oh, do they not have Zap Apples from where you’re from?” the sweet earth pony asked.

“Well we’ve got regular apples,” I started, not really lying. “But I can’t say I’ve ever seen a Zap Apple before.” Half lie.

“Oh well, to put it simple, they’re magic apples that taste like a little slice of heaven.”

“Well I’d love to try some!” I seemed to have scared her a little with my enthusiasm. But to be honest, I thought it would be pretty awesome to try one. “Oh, I mean if that’s alright.” I tried reeling it back a bit and scratching the back of my head for good measure.

Applejack chuckled a bit. “Sorry Pyra,” she said again adding an “a” to my name. “But we got our Zap Apples two months ago. Like Ah said, they’re magic, and it’s different for every place they grow.”

“Well would you mind if I got a regular apple for breakfast?”

“Help yerself.” She gestured over towards the farm house. “Just try not to break anything.” she teased. “Ah’ll point ya friends in yer direction when they all get up.” Applejack silently went back to her bucking.

To be honest, I was a little nervous that she would have seen through my lies. Granted I didn’t lie all too much during that little conversation, I wondered why she didn’t find all of our shenanigans yesterday at all suspicious. We were pretty much falling all over ourselves in shock. Not wanting to freak AJ out by standing there looking at her, I made the short journey into the house.

The house was just as we left it yesterday. I felt like a total stranger in the house, especially when the occupants weren’t here. It took a few minutes of searching, but I finally found a cabinet stocked fully of food. For the most part, as you may guess, all the food was apple based. Apple pudding, spaghetti and apple chunks, canned apples, the list went on and on. Unsure of what exactly to eat, I simply took a regular, red apple and began munching on it. I felt as if I was imposing, just sitting here eating somepony’s food. Regardless, I ate away, waiting for the day to start.

I heard a door slowly open from the upstairs. This being a seemingly old house, almost every movement would broadcast noise somewhere. I heard the shuffling of hooves on the wood floor and more doors opening and closing. After about five minutes, I heard the water begin to run throughout the pipes in the walls. After another five minutes, a cute looking little filly trotted down the stairs, happily smiling and whistling a happy tune. Her color scheme and the giant red bow on her head told me that it was Apple Bloom. I only talked briefly to the young filly yesterday, so I hoped not to scare her when she saw me. As she rested her eyes on me, she reeled back a bit in surprise, but then returned the smile to her face.

“Well howdy there... Pyra (confound these farmer ponies and their cute accent), isn’t it?” Apple Bloom asked walking into the dinning room. I nodded in response. “Sorry fer not remembering you name too well.” She gave a more sheepish smile.

“Don’t worry about it Apple Bloom. I’m pretty terrible with names myself.” As I sat there, watching the small filly prepare for breakfast, I began to wonder a few things about the world I was now in. Back on Earth, I had only been a fifteen-year-old nobody. But now it felt and looked like I was an adult. It was hard to explain how I felt older, it just seemed as if I had more years in my life than before. To try to settle my curiosity, I turned to Apple Bloom.

“So what grade are you in?” Simple enough question. Doesn’t sound that creepy asking something like that.

“Ah’m in fourth grade with Ms. Cheerilee.” she responded without much thought.

“Well how old are you?” It came out creepier than I would have hoped, but she didn’t seem bothered by it.

“Ah’m ten.” She started adding milk to her bowl of cereal that she had made. (Why didn’t I see that before?) “In fact, mah birthday was only uh couple weeks ago.” A small smile spread across her face.

“Well, just out of curiosity, how old do I look?” I gestured to myself.

“Hmmm...” she hummed, putting a hoof under her chin. “Ah’d say... ‘bout twenty?” I thought about it for second. Twenty-years-old? Seems about right. Not really knowing what else to say, I began to replied.

“Good guess! I’m twenty one actually.” I’m not quite sure why I decided on twenty one, but I went along with it anyway. Satisfied, Apple Bloom went to her cereal. I sat on my seat, not having any idea of what to do. I looked around the house and whistled to destroy any chance of an awkward silence. After about getting half way into her cereal, Apple Bloom looked up.

“I heard that y’all just woke up in the Colt Plains with no memory.” the young filly began. “Is that really true? I mean how can’t you remember anything?”

“Well, to be honest, I don’t really know how we got here.” I did my best to use general terms to avoid actually lying. “The honest truth is that we woke up in the Colt Plains like you said.”

“You remember Twilight right?” She finished her bowl of cereal and dropped it into the sink. I nodded in response to her question. “Well Ah heard Applejack talkin’ to her about a certain spell that she was working on.”

“Yeah, Twilight told me that it was some kind of weather spell. Right?”

“Well, that’s the thing...” Apple Bloom lead on. “She was talking to Applejack ‘bout how the spells caption was distorted, and she couldn’t tell if it read one thing or another.” Now I was intrigued.

“Did you hear what she thought it read?” I asked leaning in closer.

“Ah did, but Ah’m not sure I heard it right...” I could tell she was a little worried about telling me.

    “Well...”

“Well... I thought I heard Twilight saying somethin’ ‘bout it either reading, “Climate Spell,” or....” she paused and took in a deep breath. “Or... Cling Mate Spell...” I was dumbfounded.

“Umm, I’m sorry? Did you just say, cling, mate spell?” I had no idea what she was talking about. She looked at my sheepishly and nodded. “Mate, as in....” I wasn’t sure if she knew about the birds and the bees yet, so I left my sentence unfinished. She seemed to know what I meant and nodded again.

“Twilight said how the book she found it in was written by some old bearded pony or somethin’. She said how ‘cling’ could mean ‘to bring into’ and ‘mate’... well... meant mate.” I again was dumbfounded.

“So you’re telling me, that the spell Twilight tried to use, could have been a spell about changing the climate, or a spell about bringing someon- somepony’s mate to them?” Apple Bloom’s cheeks became a light red color, and her eyes kept looking around the room. Even though I was still in shock about the news I received, she still looked incredibly cute. Finally, she nodded again.

I tried my best to contain myself. I really did. But I couldn’t stop myself from laughing hysterically like a fool. I wasn’t 100% sure on why I exactly laughed, but I laughed for a good five minutes before calming down. Apple Bloom still had red cheeks and had a small smile on her face again.

“Now why’d ya go and start laughin’ like that?”

“I’m sorry!” I said still chuckling. “It’s just.... FUNNY!” I burst out another fit of laughter, this time getting Apple Bloom to join in. After another good five minutes, we both calmed down. I caught my breath, and took a look at the clock for the first time and saw it read; 8:47. “Hey, Apple Bloom.” She looked up at me in acknowledgment. “Today’s a weekday right?” I remember that yesterday was a Monday, but for all I knew, it could be Saturday or Sunday by now.

“Yeah, it’s Tuesday. But Ah don’t have school until... NINE O’CLOCK!” she jumped up in surprise of the time. “Aww sour apples, Ah’m gonna be late!” she exclaimed grabbing up her backpack and whatnot. “Sorry Pyra, Ah’ll talk to ya later!” She ran out the door before I had a chance to reply. I steadily walked to the door that she hadn’t had time to close. I watched as the hysterical little filly ran as fast as she could down the dirt road that I assumed led to town.

As she disappeared from view, I saw the barn door open to reveal a very tired looking Justin, who was rubbing his eyes profusely. He step out into the blazing sun, which was now a decent ways above the mountains. He was quickly followed by Josh, Carl, Mike, and Zack who did the same routine of rubbing their eyes. They saw me and began trotting over. I sighed and walked to met them. Today was hopefully going to be another great day in Equestria. (MAN! I can never get over saying that!)
