Clare, battle arena:

It was unreal. Every fight that I fought seemed to be incredible, the other fighters were so powerful yet in each battle I’d find their weak point and win. But that wasn’t the most incredible thing, that guy Jonas was fast. And when I say fast I mean like really-really fast.

I had seen him speed around one of his opponents so quickly that his speed generated enough heat to scorch a fiery ring around his opponent.

Finally the match we had all been waiting for arrived. The finale, like most wouldn’t have expected the final match was between Jonas and I. Everyone had figured it would have been a match between Juggernaut and Jonas.

I put my hands together and gave Jonas a respectable bow which he returned. “You are quite the exceptional fighter” he said in a very polite voice. “I suppose, but you are just absolutely incredible” I told him. He nodded. “Well I have been training for the last ten thousand years” he replied.

My jaw dropped. “Really?” I asked and he nodded. “You on the other hand have only trained for a few months yet you were able to exert incredible amounts of strength. You could almost match me in brute strength if I let you” he told me and I smiled competitively. “Oh really? Well let’s just test that out shall we?” I challenged and he nodded. “But before the match starts allow me to do one thing” he said and I nodded to allow him to do whatever he needed to do.

He pulled off his robes in one simple fluid motion. His robes tossed to the side but crashed through the ground and cratered like it weighed almost a ton. “Weighted clothing… it makes fighting without them a lot easier” he told me as I looked at his robes that had crashed in the ground.

I smiled and looked back to him. He was now only wearing light ceremonial robes. He had purple skin with orange hair and was more of a humanoid looking alien with no nose. “Those robes don’t exactly look like they’re meant to be in a fight” I commented and he nodded. “Indeed, they are meant for ceremonies” he informed me.

I smiled as I pulled of some of the robes that I had on and tossed them to the side. They too crashed into the ground but were nowhere as heavy as his were. I now wore a keikogi that had a dark blue robe on the outside robe weave with a white undershirt garment. The pants were the same colour as the jacket and there was a black belt around my waist.

When I first started I wished to use my old duster clothing but soon found the keikogi very comfortable for fighting. However I still wore my black combat boots as opposed to the regular shoes worn by most martial arts fighters.

“Interesting choice of clothing” Jonas mentioned and I smiled. “So… shall we begin?” he asked and I nodded. He flew towards me at a tremendous speeds and tried to slam a punch into me but I blocked it. I skidded back from the force of the punch but was able to stay on my feet.

I removed my arms from in front of my face and charged back at him. Before colliding we flew into the air for aerial combat. We began to throw a volley of punches at each other and our fists looked like blurs due to the speed. Some of our punches connected with one another but we also dodged most of the other’s punches.

I quickly grabbed my hands together and swung a powerful smash into Jonas that threw him downwards but he caught himself and simply floated in the air. I looked down to him and he launched himself towards me.

I quickly swung myself to the side and as he passed by me I spun my body around his and kicked him in the jaw. He winced and was tossed through the air but then aligned himself and clenched his fists.

A white aura of power burst from around his body and propelled outwards. “It’s time to stop messing around and get serious” he snarled then flew at me. I readied myself but suddenly he disappeared.

I was struck in confusion. I couldn’t tell where he had went. I kept my guard up but suddenly a kick collided with the back of my head and sent me spinning forwards through the air. I whirled around to see Jonas floating in the air like he was standing on something solid.

I clenched my fists and flew at him but as I went to connect the punch he disappeared and then reappeared directly behind me and slammed an elbow into the back of my neck. I winced in pain as I fell downwards but stopped myself mid-crash and swung my body around just as he flew into me with a crashing dive.

He crashed us into the ground but made sure that my body crashed first to absorb all the impact. He lept off of me and relaxed his body. I rolled backwards and to my feet then steadied myself.

“You might as well transform. You won’t be able to beat me like that” he commented. He was right yet at the same time I didn’t know how to just force my transformation. I relaxed my posture and widened my stance.

I was about to take a leap of faith and hopefully it paid off. I clenched my fists and gritted my teeth, I let out a loud yell as my muscles flexed. A powerful aurora surrounded my body but it was white and lacked the powerful gusts of wind like my blue aurora that surrounded me when I was transformed.

I felt my strength rise but only a little bit. I reached my peak of strength and could ascend no further. The aura of white energy flashed around me and Jonas sighed as I relaxed my stance. “Well come along now we don’t have all day” he said and I sighed. “I can’t… I don’t know how to” I told him and he laughed.

“Well… I guess it was fun while it lasted” he chuckled as he flew forwards. I tried to dodge his punch but it connected with a powerful strike of pain that jolted my entire body. I flew upwards from the force but he quickly teleported behind me and connected a powerful kick to my back and sent me hurtling to the ground.

I crashed into the ground and created a large crater from the impact. My body felt like every bone had been broken but I knew that I could keep going. I staggered to my feet as Jonas flew down in front of me.

I was breathing heavily but he was calm and relaxed. “Give up” he offered but I shook my head. “Sorry… but I have… someone relying on me winning this match” I said through painful winces.

He sighed disappointingly and flew towards me. He tried to throw a punch but I caught it with my left hand. He gasped then threw another punch with his free hand which I caught with my right hand.

I felt my strength surge and the ground beneath me simply blasted away as my aurora flashed and turned into a deep blue. The aura became more jagged and gusty, dust and debris was blown out from under my feet.

Electric energy sparked from around our clasped hands. He smiled “That’s what I wanted… now I can test out my full strength without the fear of killing you” he smirked. Like a flash of lightning he slammed a kick into my side but it didn’t faze me. His mouth continued to smile as he slammed more kicks into my side but I took the brute force head on without so much as flinching.

“Incredible… these kicks have ten times the force of a hit from Juggernaut and it seems like it doesn’t even affect you” Jonas muttered.

I released my hold on his hands and threw a powerful uppercut that sent him propelling upwards through the air. I followed him and darted right at him but at the last possible moment he vanished. I swung my body around with a powerful round house kick that collided with the side of his head.

His body was knocked back. “How did you…” he trailed off in shock that I was able to strike him during his sneak attack. “You’re predictable” I told him and he smiled as he launched himself at me.

We began to throw a fury of punches and kicks at each other that blurred through the air. I managed to land an incredibly powerful punch into the side of his jaw that cocked his head back but he used the momentum to back flip and kick me in the bottom of my own jaw.

I staggered back through the air, managing to keep myself afloat. I groped my jaw and he laughed. “Guess that took you off guard huh?” he asked rhetorically. He lifted his hand and a blast of orange energy shot at me.

I brought up my arms and blocked the blast that erupted around me. Smoke surrounded my body but Jonas flew through it and began slamming punches into my stomach. He cocked back his right arm and an orange aurora surrounded it then he slammed the punch into my stomach.

I was tossed backwards by the force of the punch but as he dove forwards to connect another punch, I swung my left leg into the side of his head and sent him hurtling through the air.

He stopped himself and readied himself in a widened stance. He brought his right hand up above his head and his left below his waist. A powerful orange sphere of energy formulated on each of his palms. He brought his hands towards each other and they met in front of him. His arms now fully extended, he flexed and veins bulged from his biceps.

I realized that I had no real training in the whole magical energy blasting area and would have to think something up really quick. I could do the Spirit Surge but that would take too long and he wasn’t evil so it would have no effect on him.

I decided to just throw something together really quick. I extended both my arms out to the side and tensed. Electrical currents ran down my arms as two large spheres of energy formed at the ends of each of my palms.

Jonas began to yell as he powered up his magical blast. I let out a prolonged grunt and swung my arms forwards, connecting the spheres together. My energy sphere was larger than his but I had this feeling that his was more powerful. He flew upwards into the air, still cupping the sphere in his hands.

He fired his energy blast and I fired mine, but as they left our palms the blasts turned into powerful beams that flew at each other. The two blasts of energy flew through the air and collided together. The energy beams erupted violently and there was a large explosion that shook the stadium.

I lowered my hands and let out a deep exhale, Jonas did the same. Our beams had drained our energy considerably and I could tell we were both exhausted.

He clenched his fists and cocked his arms at his side. A powerful white aura surrounded him. His muscles flexed and grew in size. I was still powered up but I decided to see if I could push myself further.

I clenched my own fists and let out a roar of anger as my strength began to rise. My muscles grew but I made sure not to let them get too bulky. My aurora of energy flashed outwards and became extremely jagged, my hair grew somewhat but not in considerable lengths.

I yelled as I felt a sudden surge of energy flow through me and my muscles bulked up. My hair grew out longer by another few inches and my aura flashed out wider. I felt incredibly strong but at the same time it made me somewhat more exhausted, like it was sapping my energy away from me.

“Ha-ha, about time you got serious” Jonas laughed. I gritted my teeth. His aura flashed as he dove towards me, his fist created a small cone of hyperkinetic energy.

I clenched my fists harder and launched myself towards him at incredible speeds I didn’t know I had. I guess all the rigorous training with Elder over the last few months really did pay off.

I concentrated my power to my right fist and electric energy surged around it as a magic dark blue aurora surrounded my fist. The air seemed to start to bend around my fist like Jonas’. We were both relatively far apart but now flew towards each other at speeds that I could only imagine were impractical.

I pushed myself to limits I could only dream of and there was a loud thunderous BOOM as the air bend around my fist snapped. My eyes watered and the world seemed to transform into a blur. All I could depict was Jonas as he too snapped his air bend. There was a second BOOM and the seemed to erupt and explode behind him.

Had we just broken the sound barrier? I didn’t know and didn’t really have time to think about the subject.

As we flew towards each other at incredible speeds our fists connected and a tremendous KA-BOOM echoed throughout the heavens. A powerful shockwave rocked the entire stadium along with the surrounding area.

Electricity surrounded our fists and I felt my vision blurring as I began to slip into unconsciousness. Both Jonas and I threw one last powerful punch that connected with each other and sent out another shockwave. But I finally slipped into unconsciousness and my vision was filled with blackness. I hope I wasn’t dead… hey wait a minute, if I’m dead than what happens when I die again?
