Aegis stretched out on the comfortable cushions below her. Her eyes stayed shut as her mind started waking up, and she let out a big yawn.

Cushions?

She stretched out again, patted the cushion, and scrunched her face in confusion. This wasn't her bed. In fact, judging by the feel of it, this was a couch. Opening her eyes revealed that it was exactly what she thought it was. More to the point, Aegis wasn't in the Crystal Palace. The walls were plain wood, with quite a few book shelves carved into it. If she didn't know better, she'd almost swear that she was in her sister's library, but that was crazy. Surely she'd remember traveling here.

Eros came into view, stepping front of the couch, and nuzzling her. “Well, look who's finally up. That trip must have taken a lot out of you hon.”

“Trip?” Aegis questioned, before trying to sit up – trying being the keyword. A heavy weight around her waist refused to budge and she came crashing back down. “What the?”

Eros rolled his eyes. “Hon, we've talked about this. I know you don't like feeling useless, but you really should try to stay in one spot for a while. If you need anything just ask and I'll get it.”

“Why shouldn't I move around?” Aegis rolled over and inspected to the weight holding her down, only to see that her stomach was pushed out well beyond its normal size. “I'm... I'm...”

Eros gently placed a hoof on her stomach, giving it a little rub. “I know, isn't it amazing?”

“I still can't believe it.”

That voice...

A purple alicorn entered the room. “This is so wonderful.” Twilight giggled and hopped up and down. “I'm going to be an aunt. I'm going to be an aunt.”

Aegis continued to stare at her stomach, and then came a small movement from within. The feeling of a very tiny hoof hit against her from the inside.

Oh Celestia, I... I really am pregnant. How? When?

No matter how many times she searched her memories, nothing could be found on how this came to be. The only time Eros and her fooled around with her in heat was yesterday. When he finally decided to stop teasing her, he used a hoof to make her cum, not anything that could do this to her. Perhaps the more disturbing part was that she wasn't panicking. Rather, she kept focusing on her stomach in amazement, almost happiness.

Why does this feel so... normal?

“How are you feeling hon? Anything you want?” asked Eros.

“I... I'm actually really hungry.”

“Again?” asked Twilight.

Aegis' ears drooped and she blushed.

“Let me guess, you want something sweet right?” asked Eros. He snickered and turned to Twilight. “Ever since she started showing, Aegis has had a huge sweet tooth.”

She wanted to speak out, but in truth, the idea of digging into something sugary was very nice right about now. She sighed and nodded.

“Well, Spike makes sure that we always have ice cream in the house. How does that sound?”

“Really good,” responded Aegis.

Her husband and sister walked out of the room, but Aegis could still hear them talking through the open doorway.

“So, what did the doctor say? Is it a colt or filly?” asked Twilight.

“Actually, it's colts. With an s.”

Twilight gasped. “No way. Really? Twins?”

“Nope. Triplets.”

“T-t-t-t-t-t-t,” Aegis stuttered, not able to get the word out.

“You want to know what's even more amazing?” There was a small moment without any speaking. Likely Twilight nodding, figured Aegis. “It's one of each race. An earth pony, a pegasus, and–“

What felt like a little nub brushed up against Aegis' insides.

“–a unicorn.”

“Wow. I know it's possible for alicorns to have any of the three, but all three? Do you know the odds of that?”

“I'm guessing low.”

“Extremely low. Miniscule in fact.”

“Though I guess this means I need someone to teach magic to my unicorn son. Know any pony that specializes in that? An alicorn perhaps?”

“Wait, you want me to be his teacher? Really?” There was another small pause. “I'd love to. Hm, I'll need to get some notes from Celestia on my old lessons first. This is going to be so much fun.”

“Triplets...” Aegis finally forced the word out. “I'm going to have triplets–”

A loud sneeze erupted from the other side of the room.

“Hello? Who's there?”

“Drat!” The air in front of Aegis began to shimmer and become wavy, before revealing the form of a dark blue alicorn. As she phased into reality, it seemed that time around them had stopped. There was even a butterfly frozen in midair. Luna sniffled. “Stupid cold.”

“P-princess Luna? Wait, if you're here... then this is a...” The realization of the situation brought a sigh of relief. “Oh thank Celestia!”

“Heh. I wished more ponies reacted that way when they saw me.”

“Luna... Why in the name of Tartarus am I dreaming of this!?” Aegis pointed to her belly.

“You're still in heat. Like it or not, there's a part of your mind that wants this to happen.”

Aegis snorted. “Stupid mind...”

“At least this dream wasn't about how you got to be this way, unlike the last one.”

“Wait, last one? Luna, how many of my dreams have you been around in? And for that matter, how did you know I was in heat?”

“Oh, um, well...” Luna pointed in the other direction, “Quicklookoverthere!” Aegis didn't budge. “Yeah, I didn't think that was going to work. I've been watching your dreams since the wedding. It's pretty easy to see if someone's mind is being messed with inside of their dreams, so I've been keeping a close eye on the dreams of all the important ponies since the changeling invasion: yours, Cadance's, Twilight's, the other element bearers, etc.”

“Makes sense I suppose, but you could have told me before this. Oh and Luna?”

“Yes?”

“I've made peace with others knowing about 'Aegis', but I'd rather not let others know that I dreamed of being pregnant, alright?”

“Don't worry, my lips are sealed. Hm... May I,” Luna asked and pointed Aegis' belly.

Aegis groaned and rolled her eyes. “Fine.”

Luna nuzzled against Aegis' stomach. “Wow, I can actually feel them moving.”

“Yeah, so can I,” she grumbled.

Sorry for the short chapters. This one, the last one, and the next one could have been all one chapter, but I kind of don't like doing point of view shifts within one chapter. So, I decided to cut them apart, even though they are essentially one sequence of events. Also, this is as close as you're going to get when it comes to Aegis being pregnant.
