A year and a half ago, six extraordinary ponies went on an adventure like no other, finding themselves locked in a battle to save countless worlds from obliteration. Only with the help of two equally extraordinary humans did they stop a multiverse-spanning intelligence from destroying everything they knew. But their victory brought its own consequences....

Half a year ago, a previously unknown enemy began to cut a swath through the cities of the Griffon Kingdom, leaving death, destruction and corruption in its wake. Two months ago, that enemy began to strike at the northernmost cities of Equestria. Demons, merciless and relentless, overwhelmed the scant resistance ponykind could mount, continuing an unstoppable march into the heart of their nation.

Five days ago, Princess Celestia secretly enacted a desperate plan to save her world.

Today, Equestria bore witness to the first two humans ever to trod its soil. One a hardened warrior, a survivor of countless battles in a future where humanity faces an unwinnable war; the other a skilled explorer, knowledgable in all manner of traps and terrain. They will be the nexus around which the peoples of Equestria rally their defenses and begin to fight back, against an enemy that has seen thousands of other worlds fall before its onslaught.

The sequel to Crossed Paths is finally here! Fair warning: Given the viciousness of the enemy that the world of Equus faces, there will be scenes of a dark nature, dealing with violence (and the aftermath thereof) and the impact that such acts have on the peaceful world of Equus and its denizens. This story takes place after a heavily-modified reimagining of Season 3's storyline, affected by the aftermath of Crossed Paths.
