Chapter 1: Unstable.
It was a normal day like every other day. I was studying at the Mage Tower about some conjuring magic. Oh I forgot to Introduce myself. My name is Archiel Frost. A fairly young Night Elf mage with bright white hair and a Small beard.
I was the only member of my family who made it into the Mage Tower. When I was born I was like every other baby with green hair. only this changed after Darkshore nearly burned to the ground by Deathwing after he broke out of Deepholm to Azeroth nearly tearing it apart. My parents dropped me by accented in a moonwell during the attack. the only thing they told me is that there was a bight light and a large horse like shade above me as my hair turned pure white and energy started flow around me.
Since that day I spent my time on studying and traveling to see the world. I made along the way a lot of friends. Some are powerful and some weren't. one of my friends was the head of Theramore, Lady Jaina Proudmoore one of the most powerful sorceress in the world. besides that, I wasn't really bad myself. The time I was at Theramore were eventful to say the least. The horde blew up Theramore and Jaina went into a rampage that came with incredible power. I teleported myself out of there before I was coughed by the blast.
A few years passed after I left Theramore. I did spent time working at my skills and new spells like placing yourself into a ice bolder. It came in very handy when I accidently bumped into a tauren who was sleeping under a tree. He wasn't really happy to see me and that I woke him up. so I made a run for it. You would do the same thing if you were chased by a crazy tauren with an axe the size of your whole body. Anyway that brings me to the present time with me sitting in the Mage Tower studying.
---------------------------------------------------------------
I was just reading a book about old magic and legendary spells. not like I could cast them, that would take to much time and energy. Anyway I was reading a book when a courier ran up to me and gave me a letter from Dalaran. It had a red ribbon and that means it is very important. Not as important as a black ribbon but still important.
"Are you Arch mage Archiel Frost?" he asked.
"That is me" I replied.
"I have a letter from Dalaran." he said when he placed the letter on my desk when he left shortly after.
I and my curiosity quickly opened the letter with the red ribbon and started to read it.
Dear Archiel,
Sorry for the short notice but we have a massive problem on our hands and we could use some help with conjuring a force field around Dalaran to stop the on coming scourge. And we could use some help with making a large portal too get everyone to safety. We are expecting you soon after the letter has been delivered correctly.
Oh and don't forget to pack your stuff. You are going to stay at Dalaran until the job is finished.
yours truly,
Arch mage Lady Thiran.
I didn't waste any second after receiving the letter and packed the books that I was reading in one of my bags and walked towards my Frostsaber named 'after my brother' Aldon. who was resting in the shadow of a large tree at the Quarters. I slowly walked to him and placed my hand on his wet nose.
"Hey, common Aldon. time to get a move on."
He slowly woke up from his nab and stretched out and lets out a loud yawn followed by a shake of his head too remove the sleep from his eyes. I placed my bag on his back. I picked a book out and opened it and started to search for a portal spell that could bring us to Dalaran in an instant.
"Ah, here it is."
I placed the spell book back in the bag and started to gather the right amount of mana before opening the portal. After a few seconds a rift opened right in front of me. I walked into the portal and Aldon followed faithfully.
After we went through the portal we were standing on a platform somewhere at Dalaran. I noticed a small human female and quickly recognized her.
"Ah, hello Lady Thiran. It is an honor too be in your presence." I said in a sarcastic tone.
"It is good to see you too Archiel. If you would follow me we could get right too business."
As we walked down the road towards The Violet Citadel where a group of mages has gathered for the assignment. At the moment we arrived everyone kneel down in respect to me and Lady Thiran. I always find it a bit awkward to stand in a room filled with people who kneel down before me. After a few seconds everyone raised their heads and we started the meeting.
It took a few hours talking and arguing when a few guards ran inside the Citadel.
"Lady Thiran! The scourge has been spotted right underneath Dalaran!" the guard yelled.
Thiran didn't waste an other second and gave everyone 'including me' their task and everyone ran off to do their duty. I quickly ran towards Aldon and took my bag off his back. I was given the task to conjure a portal large enough for everyone in Dalaran to pass through to a save place. I knew this wasn't going to be easy because it will use nearly all my energy to keep the portal stable. If I would fail the portal would split up and everyone would be stuck and eventually die.
I placed my bag on the ground and picked the spell book out of it and started to look for the portal spell.
"There! found it!" I yelled when a sudden bang could be heard all across Dalaran.
The scourge has started their attack but were kept down by the force field that the other mages conjured up. I quickly regained my senses and started to charge up the portal spell. I managed too keep it stable for everyone to leave but then it happened. After everyone left Dalaran, I could see the field disappearing and heard loud screams everywhere. screams of pain and agony. I knew what was going on, every mage that was holding the shield were killed and eaten or even raised by the scourge. I and Thiran were the only once left in all Dalaran.
The portal had taken so much energy that it became unstable even dangerous.
"Thiran! Go! Just go! I can hold them off!" I yelled at her but she refused to leave my side.
"No! I won't leave your side even if death is all that follows." she said but for some reason I could sense a small blush on her cheeks. I didn't know why she was blushing in the middle of a attack but i didn't really care. All I wanted was for her to be safe.
"Thiran! There is no time! Jus-" I was interrupted by Thiran's lips that sealed with mine.
'Did that just really happened?' I thought. 'I knew there were roamers about Thiran having a crush but I didn't expect this.'
We stood there for a few second when we were interrupted by scourge and a necromancer.
"Such a sweet scene. But you know I can't let you live." he said with a voice that would make your bones freeze.
"You won't get away with this!" I shouted at him while he chuckled.
"You really think you can defeat me? I bet you can't even stand one minute before you crash into the ground."
I didn't answer him but instead I fired a bold of Arcane magic at him. The bold hit him but he hadn't moved an inch.
"How?! What! that was one of my most powerful attacks I have. And you stopped it like it was nothing!"
Now it was his turn not to answer but instead he fire his magic I could feel a dark aura around my throat. shortly after I was struggling for air as my throat was slowly pushed so that i would choke. The necromancer slowly walked closer with a sword in his hand. i was struggling for air and to keep the portal stable. But it became to much for me. he slowly walked up to me and without a word he swung his sword at me but instead of hitting me i heard a scream. When i opened my eyes I was frozen in place when I saw Thiran in front of me with the sword sticking right through her guts and blood dripped down the sword. I could see the tears in her eyes as she collapsed right before me before drawing her last breath. My eyes were filled with rage and agony.
"You have gone to far..." I whispered.
"YOU HAVE GONE TO FAR THIS TIME!!" I screamed as I started to lose control of the portal.
As the ground started to shake and Dalaran slowly fell apart, I could feel Aldon lying down behind me. He also knew it was time and he knows what was going to happen. I placed Thiran between me and Aldon when the Portal started to glow black as it was growing bigger and bigger. The last thing I could remember was me lying against Aldon and Thiran when everything went black as the portal exploded.
--- Canterlot, Equestria ---
It was late in the afternoon and Twilight was standing next too princess Celestia about her founding during her study. But they were quickly interrupted by a dark cloud outside Canterlot that slowly covered the whole city.
"I didn't know it would rain today?" asked Twilight while she faced the princess who seemed not so happy.
"What's wrong Princess?"
"Yes, it's not you but it's that cloud. There is something about too happen." she replied with a spot of fear in her voice.
It didn't took to long before the whole throne room was covered by a black mist accept for Twilight and the Princess. After 5 minutes the mist began to clear and there was a chill breeze from the middle of the throne room. The princess quickly called some guards inside while a small ball of black mist remained in the center.
Twilight was about to say something but was stopped by a massive blast of wind as the floor started to freeze. both Twilight and the princess were in shock at the sight of what appeared out of the mist.
"What is that princess? And why is the floor covered with ice?" Twilight asked.
"I don't know Twilight and I don't want to find that out right now."
Then Celestia ordered on of the guards too approach the strange creature. But to their fear when the guard was about to say something he became frozen in place.
"EVERYONE GET AWAY FROM IT!" shouted the princess.
Then she decided too attack it with one of her spells but what happened stunned Everypony.

After Everything went black I could feel some kind of floor under me while I was expecting too feel burns or hard rocks when Dalaran started to crumble underneath us. But then I heard faint voices everywhere as I saw a brown blur in front of me and reacted quickly without thinking by freezing it with one of my spells and breaking it into pieces. Then there was a scream from a female not so far away when a bright light filled the place and everything became clear.
I was inside a ice tomb that I had created around myself to protect Thiran and Aldon. But it was for Thiran too late as she had died a few minutes ago.
"You will pay..." I whispered.
As the light became brighter I could feel the tomb melting down when I was visible to everyone in the room. But that didn't live long after my rage took control as my eyes started to glow bright white as I started to channel my energy into one massive arcane explosion. After I drained all my energy I fell on my knees as I saw a few creatures in armor slammed into the walls around me.
I turned my face to Thiran who was lying on the ground next too Aldon who was still asleep. There started tears to form in my eyes as I started to sob uncontrollably in my hands when I was interrupted by a shadow behind me when everything went black.
Chapter 2: (short) Interrogate, escape and rescue.
Chapter 2: Interrogate and escape.
Here I am sitting in some kind of chair with a ring around my finger. An unknown place, dark, cold. I told myself I was in some kind of dungeon or interrogation room. when the door opened before me.
A tall creature walked inside. It was bright white and it had long colorful... mane? I was dumbstruck when the tall creature seemed to be some kind of tall horse with wings like a griffon and a horn. I tried to freeze the robes but for some reason my Magic source has been blocked. The tall white horse walked too me and it... speaks?
"What are you, and what is your business here." she said with a neutral tone.
"I could ask you the same thing!" I yelled at it at I tried to get lose.
"Don't bother to get lose, With that ring on your finger you won't be able to perform any magic." she replied.
"We will see about that." I said with a angry tone.
After a few minutes of silence the white horse broke the silence. But before it could say something I heard a loud roar behind me in the cage. I turned my head to look behind me. It seemed they locked Aldon up in a cage while he was asleep after the portal collapsed. But for some reason Thiran was lying next to him. I quickly turned my head towards the White horse with the wings and the horn before tears started to run down my face.
"Ok... I will tell you everything but first..." I started as I closed my eyes. It was waiting for me to continue but she was surprised by a flash of light. I was charging up a teleport spell for me, Thiran and Aldon.
Before she could react the light faded and me, Thiran and Aldon were gone.
"Guards! The prisoner has escaped! search every spot in Canterlot! We must find him before anypony could be harmed!" it commanded while the guard quickly ran away to inform the other guards.
After a few minutes I found myself inside a forest With Aldon next to me and Thiran on my left. I decided to bury her right on this spot because it won't help the cause to walk around with a body.
It was a emotional moment even Aldon was standing next to me as I placed my hand in his fur.
"Common buddy lets go. It is getting dark." I said as we started to move.
We soon came to the edge of the forest but instead of a waste land a small village. I thought it might be a bad Idea to walk straight into a unknown village. Then a invisible spell popped into my head. The spell would last a few minutes but uses alot of energy.
I charged up the spell and everything went into a blur.
I slowly walked into the Village to see a lot of strange looking horses in every color possible. I slowly moved on avoiding anything that could break my concentration. then all of a sudden a lavender horse with a horn on its head passed the corner as i bumped into it. As soon as I lost my concentration I became visible.
'Oh horse poop' was the first thing that popped into my head as it looked right into my eyes. But before I could even react the horn begun to glow and 2 guards were standing right behind the horse. The lavender colored horse was the first to break the silence.
"You are under arrest for attacking the royal guard in the Canterlot castle and for escaping from the Canterlot dungeon. And-"
It was interrupted by a loud roar behind me, I quickly turned around and found Aldon standing a few feet behind me loudly roaring to scare the horses away. While they were dazed I took my chance and jumped on Aldons back, turned around and we made it back into the forest without anyone following.
After a few hours of running Aldon was tired and we made a small break on a clearing. I made a small fire with the little energy I had left after the invisible spell. I lied down against Aldons soft fur as I drifted away in a deep sleep.
---Meanwhile in Ponyville---
Twilight was having a panic attack because she let the strange creature escape into the woods while it was right in front of her.
"Arg! why did I let it escape!" she yelled to herself.
"Aw, common Twi, this isn't that bad. Is it?" asked Spike.
"Isn't bad? ISN'T BAD!? OF COURSE IS IT BAD! I LET A PRISONER ESCAPE WHILE IT WAS RIGHT IN FRONT OF MY NOSE!!" She screamed at the green/purple dragon.
"I don't even know how I am going to tell this to the princess." she says as she lowered her head in shame.
She took a deep breath and pumped herself up and levitated a piece of parchment and a quill.
"Spike make a letter for the princess."
"I'm on it!" he replied while taking the parchment and quill.
Twilight cleared her throat.
Dear Princess Celestia,
I sent you this letter because of the resent events in both Canterlot and Ponyville.
You informed me that the creature had escaped and made it's way towards Ponyville.
As you predicted it appeared at the edge of the town when we found it. But before we could arrest it a large cat-like animal appeared behind it and rode away on it.
I deeply apologize to you for loosing the creature out of sight.
I await your quick response about the situation,
Your faithful student,
Twilight Sparkle.
"Ok Spike sent it."
Spike took a deep breath and burned the scroll in a green flame as the ash fly out the window.
"So, it's on its way."
As soon as the letter was sent Applejack, Rarity and Rainbow Dash burst through the door with worried expressions on their faces.
"Whoa, girls whats the rush about." Asked Twilight to the the three friends.
"Applebloom, Sweetiebell and Scootaloo are missing! they were playin' at tha farm when Ah hat ta go inside ta get somethin' ta drink and when Ah returned they were gone! Ah searched everywhere on tha farm and whole Ponyville fer them. But they are jus' gone." says Applejack.
"Ok, girls lets calm down and think for a moment where they could be." suggested Twilight as she placed a hoof on her chin. as soon as everypony was thinking Fluttershy came flying into the library breathing heavily.
"Fluttershy darling, what's wrong." asked Rarity as she sees she is on the verge of tears.
"T-the three... are... are..." she stuttered as she burst into tears.
Applejack runs towards the crying pegasus and gives her a hug as she tries to calm her down.
"It's ok sugarcube. jus' tell us what happened."
The timid pony calms down a little and continues her story.
"Ok... well I was just feeding my little friends *sniff* when Applebloom, Sweetiebell and Scootaloo came to me to ask if I could play with them. But I was to busy so I had to turn them down..." she lowered her head as she took another deep breath.
"When I turned them down there appeared a large amount of..." she stuttered as the tears started to fall of her face again.
"What appeared Fluttershy?" asked Twilight.
"A large pack of... of... t-timberwolfs." she replied. "They chased them into the everfree Forest... and I was to scared to stop them so I came here to get you and now they are..." She didn't even wanted to think about it.
All the girls walked towards her and gave her a nice group hug. After they let each other go they decided to get into the forest to save the girls from those hungry wolfs.
As they approach the forest they could hear the girls scream followed by a few pain howls from the wolfs so they didn't wasted a second and charged into the forest.
---Everfree Forest: 10 Minutes earlier---
I was just laying with my head on Aldons belly when I was awoken by screams. Me and my curious tooth went up while not waking Aldon because he could use the sleep.
As I walked through the bushes I entered a clearing with a large group of wooden wolfs and three little horses cowering against a tree in fear.
I knew it would be hard to fight right now because I still need to regenerate some energy after the spell i used at the small town.
I made a BIG mistake. i blinked right in front of the pack of wolfs without any thought.
"Oh, for the love of..." I say out loud when I was interrupted by a wolf who started to pounce on me.
I quickly gathered a small amount of energy to cast a freezing spell so that I could escape from its grasp. Once I was released I blinked away as I gathered some energy towards my hands. As i placed them together a small while/blue ball appeared inside. When they released the energy a barrage of frost bolts shot from my hand towards the pack. this took a to much energy then I hoped it would so I fell on my knees breathing heavily when I felt a sharp pain on my back as I turned around I saw a wolf digging his claws in my back.
I let out a roar of pain as I release a explosion of arcane energy that knocked the wolf a few feet away as it lands on his back. After a few seconds the wolf got back on his paws and walked back towards to pack when it turned around to get into a stance as it was about to jump again but the other wolfs did the same. I got back on my feet and did a few steps back as they did a few steps forward. When I wanted to turn away I found Aldon standing right behind me glaring at the wolfs. The wolfs did a few steps forward and jumped into the air while Aldon did the same and started to fight with the wolf as the others focused on me. "That ain't really fair don't you think?" I asked the wolfs who looked at me like I was eating my own feet. soon All the wolfs jumped into the air and pinned me down into the ground as I let out a groan of pain. soon after 4 wolfs digged their claws into my chest, legs and arms. I let out a scream as I felt something burn inside my chest.
A minute or so later the burn became unbearable as I lost control of my body. I punched the wolfs of me and my eyes started to glow a bright white. I didn't know that the three little horses were looking at me in Awe as I went overboard. I channeled all my energy into one attack as small gusts of wind started to swirl around me. after a minute of charging I could hear hoofs running towards the clearing. There appeared 5 horses out of the woods who stopped and looked at me in awe before screaming something. I reached my limit and the arcane circle was complete. I saw them teleport away as the circle exploded into a massive ball of white energy.
---Just outside the Everfree Forest---
Twilight saw the massive ball of energy and watched in awe as it was growing bigger as the seconds passed by when it came to a halt.
"That was a close one... Are you three oke?" she asked the CmC who were in some kind of shock while they look at the place where a large energy field used to be.
"WHAT IN TARNATION WAS THAT!!" yelled Applejack
"We don't know what it is. it appeared this afternoon in a thick black mist and killed one of the guards by freezing it and breaking it into pieces. It recently escaped from the Canterlot dungeon. I was asked to search and capture it before it could harm more ponies." Twilight replied.
They entered the forest again after the dust cloud cleared. what was left of the clearing was a massive crater filled with timber wolf corpses and right in the center was laying the creature and the cat-like animal.
Twilight made a letter to the princess about this and teleported them both to Canterlot for research.
