PART ONE

Chapter one:

I never had my life flash before my eyes, all in vivid visions of my past. I never thought I'd be in this situation, I also never thought I'd get see a real life Fluttershy--but I'm getting ahead of myself. Let's just start from the beginning. My name is Sergio, and I am a brony. Most days I would come home from school and get online to talk to my fellow bronies.

However today I didn't because my mother had given me a job to do: "Have the house clean before I get back, or you can't get on the computer," she said in a strict voice. Like usual I didn't answer her, but instead gave an understanding nod. She gave me a pat on the head, and continued out the door. I deliberately disobeyed her and headed to my room where I laid on my bed, drawing and passing time. A few hours passed before anything interesting happened. But suddenly the front door opened, and then slammed shut without hesitation.

Curious who was in my house, I decided to investigate. I poked my head out my bed room door, only to find that no sign of life was valid. "I must be going crazy," I said out load to myself. I retreated back into my room, and sprawled out on my bed. Sometime after that I fell from consciousness, and into a lucid dream.

Rainbow Dash was flying over Ponyville as usual, moving clouds and trying new tricks. Fluttershy and Pinkie Pie were standing underneath watching the blue pony do her thing. Fluttershy watched with the most awe. She always enjoyed watching Rainbow Dash fly around at great speeds she herself could never reach. Pinkie wasn't really paying much attention to the blue pony; she was more focused on a strange new visitor coming seemingly out of nowhere.

It was a light brown earth pony, about the size of big Macintosh. His mane was a blonde ruffled mess, but the look suited him. He realized had been noticed and stopped in his tracks. Pinkie happily bounced her way over to this new pony. "Hi! I'm Pinkie Pie!" she greeted.

"I'm Sergio," the colt replied, trying to hold a smile.

"I've never seen you around here before. Where are you from?" she asked.

“I’m not sure, but I don't think it's anywhere around here," he answered.

Suddenly, he broke from the dream to find that he was not in his room. It didn't even look like he was in his house anymore. He searched his surroundings for a sign of life, but it was too dark to see past his legs. He's couldn't even see his feet. He stood in the darkness, and stumbled around trying to find his balance. Something was strange--he knew he was standing but it just didn't feel right.

He stumbled forward to find a wall, and then he followed the wall until he came to a switch. He flicked it up, and the connection of the electricity surged though the walls and to the overhead lamp, sending light in all directions. He looked around what seemed to be a basement, filled with flour and yeast bags lining the walls. What was strange was the only other thing that was in the room was a mirror that was facing the wrong way. He walked over and turned it.

Sergio fell back when he saw the horrific reflection. He wasn't human anymore: he was a full grown pony! Taken aback by this surprise, he decided to sit down. "That explains why it was hard for me to stand," he spoke aloud. He stayed where he was for a few minutes to collect his thoughts. For the first time he noticed the stairs leading from the basement, so he stood (on all fours this time) and made his way up the stairs.

His thoughts raced as he kept up the stairs. “Did I ever leave my dream? Is this even real? Where am I? And how did I get here?" He opened the door at the top of the stairs. All of a sudden he knew exactly where he was.

“Welcome to Sugar Cube Corner--... and why did you come from my basement?" Miss Cake questioned, holding Pound Cake in her arms.

"I'm sorry, I'm not exactly sure how I got there," Sergio said.

"Oh well, at least you revealed yourself before I found you. I would have freaked out, and my heart isn't what it used to be!" she said while putting her filly in the crib next to the counter. "Well it's very nice to meet you... umm...." Miss Cake said with a confused look.

”Sergio. My name is Sergio," he said.

"That’s a funny name. I've never heard of such a name. Well Sergio, my name is--"

She was cut off by him: "--Miss Cake. I know you, I've seen you before."

He wasn't sure if he could reveal that he wasn't from this world; he didn't know if it would scare anypony that he was an alien. "Well, make yourself at home. I'm sure Pinkie Pie will be excited to find a new pony in this town," she said as she exited the room. Sergio decided to explore Ponyville. He knew there was more to see other than what the TV show had to offer. He exited the pastry shop and made his way around the town. He noticed he was being stared at by passing ponies, he assumed that it was because he was new there.

He found his way to the library, where Twilight lived. He thought if he could trust anypony, it would be Twilight Sparkle. He knocked on the door with his hoof and waited for an answer. Twilight opened the door. “Hi there. Are you here for a book?" she asked with a smile.

"Actually yes," he lied. Twilight moved from his way, and he trotted inside. She closed the door behind him.

“So, what kinds of books do you like?" she asked, keeping her smile.

"I'm sorry for lying, but I'm here on more important business. I'd like to ask you a question, Twilight, but first let me explain why I am here," he said.

Twilight's smile faded. "Judging that you know my name, I'm thinking you’re not from here...are you?" she inquired.

Sergio was surprised that she had guessed this. "Yes, but not just not from here--but not from this world. You see, I have no idea if this is real, or if I came across a ripple in space and time," he replied.

“Well, I am sure this is real my friend, and I have foreseen this event. When I was a young filly, I had a surge of magic. I blacked out from that moment--or so I thought. Recently I got those memories back. I saw you, but not all of you, just your cutie mark," she explained.

Sergio recoiled. He knew from the show that Twilight was powerful, but the fact that she could see into the future was amazing. "Well can you help me get back to my world?" he asked with high hopes.

"Sorry, none of my books tell me how to travel between worlds," she said, frowning.

"Oh... Well, thanks anyway, Twilight." He hugged her neck. "You were a big help. Thank you," he said as a tear fell from his eye.

Twilight embraced him, and patted his mane. “I’ll ask the princess if she can help, but other than that I can't help you," Twilight said as she saw him out.

Sergio started walking, not sure where he was going to end up. He just walked, trying to remember how he got here. He knew he was being stared at, but he didn't care. "Why the long face?" asked a pink pony. Sergio looked up from his gloom to see Pinkie Pie and Fluttershy blocking his way.

“It’s nothing..." he said.

"I hope your okay," said Fluttershy.

Sergio lightened up his attitude with a smile. It was something about Fluttershy that made him feel fuzzy inside. "Yeah, I'll be okay," he said. Pinkie Pie danced about with her usual flair, and sang a song about cheering up. But Sergio didn't listen to the lyrics--he was too busy staring at Fluttershy. She was blushing and kicking at the dirt.

Sergio shook his head. “I’m sorry, I didn't mean to stare," he said.

"Its okay..." she mumbled.

"Is there a place where I can stay tonight? I'm kind of in a bind," he asked the yellow pony.

"Applejack lets ponies stay in the barn!" Pinkie shouted when she finished her song. Sergio kind of hoped she wouldn't have said that. He didn't want to sleep in a barn with hay and apples. “Is there
