The Beginning of an End
Chapter 1: Intro: My End
The End... My End
The rustling of leaves, the soft whine of the wind brushing against my ear. The cool breeze that swept over my body as the sun regained my heat. Opening my eyelids, I'm laying in a forest, so it seems. My lips, two dry burdens upon my very face. The clear, clean air pumps into my lungs and stimulates my every move. Hills wave around me and the mountains surround my very soul. Like a dream, though I feel so very lucid and alive. Are dreams like this? I slowly stand up, but slop back down on the ground, as my two legs fail to keep me vertical. I look up at the sky; white, misty clouds layer the warm sky with a sense of peace. The sky is so very perfect in every way, as so everything around me. Its too perfect. Oddly perfect. Almost, unreal. I try once more to stand, but fail. My triumph will be of no success for the unfortunate reason my legs won't work. Why exactly am I here? What did I do to get here? Confused and a bit paranoid, I force myself up; this time was my victory. My legs stood, but my back felt stiff as a plank. Why I feel bent over is beyond my knowledge, maybe it has to to do with the fact that I could have been laying here for a long time. Looking around one last time, my senses grow more aware of where I was. Trees swayed back and forth and the leaves and twigs buried the grass. Wherever I am, I don't remember it nor do I remember how I got here. Lost in a forest- what could be worst?
"H-hello?" A voice rang out behind me. I swing around to meet a purple horse. It has a horn! Strange, I don't remember horses having horns. Or being purple for that matter.
"Uh," My voice cracked. The words croaked out of my dry throat that urged for water. "Hi? Is anyone there?"
"Your looking straight at me, are you blind?" The purple unicorn spoke! She can talk?! Since when did horses talk?
"Uh, your talking. To me. Why are you talking?!" I questioned, backing up.
Under her lavender face, I noticed a slight blush. Her face became red. "Uh, I'm so sorry for bothering you. I'll just go now."
"No wait! Your a talking horse!"
"Talking horse? That's a bit rude, esspecially knowing that your a talking pony as well."
"What?! I'm a human! What are you talking about?"
"A what-now?"
"You know! Two legs, big brain, thumbs!"
"What are thumbs?" She lifted her hoof and rubbed at her head in confusion.
I looked down at a puddle the morning dew formed. My reflection..... Oh no....
