When the New Lunar Republic begins to re-emerge amid rumors of Luna's return at the end of the decade, Equestria is faced with a difficult conflict and an uncertain future. Tensions snap as the NLR builds up, and soon the Air Corps and the Equestrian Guard are dispatched to crush the pockets of resistance before they can grow into a full-fledged rebellion.

Among those dispatched is Lance Corporal S. Raider, a green-wing Air Corpspony and one for whom the choice to fly or die must soon be made.
