Chapter 1: Keeping Secrets

Chapter 1: Keeping Secrets

It was early morning in Sugar Cube Corner when Pinkie suddenly found herself wide awake, completely unable to go back to bed as her Pinkie sense was tingling. Except this was a reaction she had never gotten before, and had no idea what it meant. After some quick thinking Pinkie rushed into the bathroom and grabbed a pregnancy test out of the cabinet above the sink.

"Positive?" Pinkie said quietly, her shaking suddenly over as she blankly stared at the test. She couldn't believe her eyes, she was actually pregnant, but from Discord?  Her mind now went a mile per minute, trying desperately to figure out a way to hide this from everypony, knowing full well that the knowledge of her spending an interesting night with him would cause a lot of problems for both him, and her.

*Knock,  Knock*

"Pinkie are you in there?" Mrs Cake asked sleepily, having woken up just a few minutes ago. Pinkie immediately freaked out and dumped the test into the garbage can they had in the bathroom, using her hooves to hopefully get it down to the bottom.

"Yeah" Pinkie replied, her anxiety evident in her voice, "I'll be out in a second" Once the test was properly buried Pinkie got up and away from the trashcan and headed outside, unaware that the test was now sitting right on top again because of her. Mrs Cake almost immediately saw it, finding it odd to see one as she didn't take one, her jaw dropping when she realized who's it was. She had no words, she was completely stunned. The playful lovable pink pony has always been carefree, but for her to get pregnant? Mrs Cake stood perfectly still as the shock washed over her, and when she could move again she took the test, eager to show it to her husband so they could confront her later.

When Pinkie got back into her room she hopped into bed and went straight off to sleep, but only dream of foals of every color, gender, and race, running around her, using her legs as an obstacle course while Discord drank glasses of chocolate milk. About an hour later Pinkie was woken up by the sound of Mr and Mrs Cake fighting with the twins, who did not in any way want to get up. She giggled at the noises at first, but suddenly remembered the test, snapping her into a depressed state. With a loud sigh Pinkie got up out of her bed and headed out into the hallway, where she was nearly run over by Pound and Pumpkin as they began their great escape from their parents, who were both laying on the floor of their room.

"Oh Pinkie you're awake!" Mr Cake said happily as he rolled over to his hooves, "Can you go get the twins for us?"

"Sure thing Mr Cake!" Pinkie replied happily before she bounced out of the room, her hunt for the twins ending rather quickly when she found them trying to steal some baked goods that were sitting on the counter. She quickly grabbed the twins and held them close to her with one hoof, and no matter how much the struggled, they were going back to their room. Once she had them settled down Pinkie went to the bathroom so she could have a shower before work. When she climbed into the shower she saw a familiar shape in the mirror.

"Hello Pinkie" Discord said happily, a devilish smile creeping across his face.

"Oh, hey Discord" Pinkie said happily with a gigantic smile on her face, "What brings you here, and why are you in the mirror?"

"It's the only way for me to be here right now sadly" Discord said in a mock depressed tone, "Anyways, did you like what you got on your test?"

"My test...?" Pinkie said slowly as she tried to remember what test she had taken, "You mean the one I took this morning?"

"Yep!" Discord said happily, "Did you absolutely love the results? I know I did!"

"Well, it's cool, but I don't know if I'm ready for that yet..." Pinkie said as she lowered her head, looking directly into the shower drain. Discord sighed loudly and when Pinkie looked back up he was gone, letting her finish her shower in complete privacy. When she had climbed out of the shower Pinkie ran into Mrs Cake, who was holding something in her hoof.

"Pinkie, can we talk about," Mrs Cake paused to reveal the pregnancy test that Pinkie had taken, "This?" Pinkie started to look around nervously until Mrs Cake put a hoof on her shoulder, making her tense up.

"Pinkie, what is this about, when did this happen?" Mrs Cake asked, looking directly into Pinkie's eyes as she did. Pinkie's eyes darted around until she finally gave up, unable to lie straight to Mrs Cake's face. Pinkie sighed loudly and was about to tell her what happened, but just then somepony entered the store, forcing their conversation to end abruptly. As Mrs Cake ran down the stairs to take the customers order Pinkie let out a relieved sigh. If anypony knew that she had gotten together with Discord things would be complicated at the least.

"That was close" Discord said as Pinkie entered her room, making her jump. She looked around quickly only to see him in her mirror, smiling at her, "Hi"

"Why are you in my mirror?" Pinkie asked, still confused on how and why he did that.

"Oh, it's just the easiest way to talk to you, that's all" Discord said nonchalantly, "So, what are you going to tell ponies when the pregnancy is noticable?"

"I don't know..." Pinkie said sadly as she sat on her bed so she could dry herself off. When she looked up again Discord was gone, leaving her alone again. She let out a depressed sigh and got herself dried off, her fluffy pink mane popping up like it always did. Before she headed downstairs to work she smiled at her mirror, hoping that it would make the rest of the day easier, but all it did was make her feel alone.

Chapter 2: The Talk

Chapter 2: The Talk

As the sun set in the west Sugar Cube Corner slowly began to run out of customers, so they decided to take it easy and eat some of the left overs from the day. When Mr Cake was finally sitting down next to Mrs Cake, across from Pinkie, Mrs Cake cleared her throat, getting everypony's attention.

"So, Pinkie, do you remember what I was talking to you about this morning before we were interrupted?" Mrs Cake asked, her eyes glued to Pinkie's. Pinkie shifted nervously in her chair, making Mr Cake raise an eyebrow at her and his wife. After a long day of work all he could think about was how busy it was, and how many of each product did he bake today, all other thoughts were far back in his mind.

"Do you mean when you told me that I should stop eating all the frosting, and then had to pull some muffins out of the oven before they burned?" Pinkie asked, attempting to dodge the question using another conversation that had also happened that morning. Mrs Cake frowned, knowing that Pinkie knew what conversation she was talking about, but was trying to change the topic so she could avoid it. Although Mr Cake was more interested in the frosting story he knew better than to talk without being spoken to when Mrs Cake was acting this way.

"Pinkie, you know what I'm talking about, don't try to change the subject" Mrs Cake said in a very serious tone, making Mr Cake tense up a bit. The last time she got this way he was nearly forced to sleep in the guest room, and this was way before Pinkie showed up. He can still remember her hooves digging into his back that night, a smile on her face every time he grunted in pain. Pinkie and Mrs Cake gave him a confused look when he shook in his chair because of the memory.

"Anyways" Mrs Cake said as she shook her head, "What happened that made you take a pregnancy test, and why was it positive?" Pinkie began to look around nervously while fidgeting in her seat, the pressure she was feeling from Mrs Cake's hard stare was making her more than just uncomfortable. Mr Cake looked away for a moment, just in time to see the twins working together to get onto the counter where a batch of chocolate cupcakes were sitting. The only reason they still had that batch was because they didn't bake properly, and Mrs Cake was afraid they could make somepony sick, and now their two young foals were trying to get at them. Mr Cake freaked out to say the least, and was in the kitchen within seconds, leaving Pinkie all alone with Mrs Cake.

"Are you going to talk now that he's gone?" Mrs Cake asked, having made the assumption that Mr Cake's presence was what made Pinkie nervous. Eventually Pinkie cracked under the pressure, just as Mr Cake sat back down, so he was also there to witness Pinkie talking faster than thought possible.

"TWOWEEKSAGODISCORDBROKEOUTANDCAMETOMEATNIGHTANDWEHADSEXBUTITHOUGHTITWASADREAMUNTILISAWHIMTHENEXTMORNING" Pinkie said quickly, gasping for breath when she finished. Both of the Cakes looked at each other in confusion while their brains figured out what Pinkie had just said, gasping when they did.

"Did you say Discord, as in the god of chaos?!" Mrs Cake said loudly, making the twins, who were again trying to get the chocolate cupcakes, stop what they were doing and run over to the table. Pinkie nodded as tears started to run down her face because of how scared she was. She was scared that the Cakes might kick her out and tell everypony what she did, which means she's lose all her friends, and would end up being all alone. Mrs Cake sighed and walked around the table, pulling Pinkie into a warm hug to tell her everything was okay.

"You aren't upset with me?" Pinkie asked as she looked up at Mrs Cake.

"Of course not, how could we be mad at you for doing what you thought was right?" Mrs Cake said as she rubbed the tears off of Pinkie's face while giving her a warm smile. Pinkie started to giggle during the hug while tears still ran down her face, but this time they were tears of joy. Once she had calmed down everypony headed up to bed, and Pinkie fell fast asleep.

---------------------------------------------------------------

Pinkie opened her eyes to find herself standing in the middle of Ponyville, but there was no pony around. She searched all around town for any sign of ponies, but froze on the spot when she realized that town hall was replaced with a giant mountain of chocolate cake. With a gigantic gasp she ran over to the mountain, bouncing all the way up to the top of the mountain.

"YODEL-LE-EI-HO!" Pinkie shouted as she got to the top of the mountain. She looked around happily, now noticing Discord laying down next to her on the mountain. Before he could say anything she pounced him, sending both of them rolling down the hill. Pinkie giggled happily the entire way down, landing at the bottom on top of Discord. Without any warning she kissed him, and for one of the few times in Discord's life, he was speechless.

"Wow..." Discord said slowly, a smile starting to creep across his face, "Mind if I join you as you devour Mt Coco?"

"Go right ahead!" Pinkie said happily as she bounced off of Discord and into the mountain of cake. Discord laughed quietly before jumping into the mountain after her, both of them picking half of the mountain to eat. When they met up in the middle of the mountain Pinkie gave him another quick kiss, managing to make the thousand year old god blush.

"You really need to stop doing that" Discord said bashfully, making Pinkie giggle.

"Why, it's so fun!" Pinkie said happily as she kissed him again, making him blush harder. Discord sighed happily before he went back to devouring the mountain with Pinkie, and within a few short minutes all that remained of Mt Coco was a few crumbs that were on Pinkie's face, but she quickly fixed that.

"That was good" Pinkie said as she rubbed her belly, which was now twice it's size. Discord snapped his fingers and a small foal with a brown coat and bright pink hair. Pinkie giggled happily as the foal waddled over to her, landing clumsily in her lap.

"This might be your foal" Discord said happily, getting Pinkie to turn to look at him. When Discord smiled at her her vision started to fade, and from far away she could hear Discord speak to her.

"See you tomorrow night my beautiful pie"

Chapter 3: Friends

Chapter 3: Friends

Pinkie waited behind the counter, bouncing happily as she waited for her friends to arrive. Recently Rarity was given an order from somepony that was holding a high class party in Canterlot, and so Pinkie decided to hold a party for her to celebrate. The first pony to arrive was Rainbow Dash, who had just finished her cloud clearing duties for the day.

"Hey Pinkie" Rainbow said tiredly as she flew through the front door. Pinkie bounced around the counter to greet Rainbow with a hug, but Rainbow held her off with her hooves.

"Sorry Pinkie, but I'm not in the mood for hugs right now" Rainbow said with her eyes half shut. She had a tough day clearing the sky today because of a mistake the other members of the weather team made at night when a rainstorm was planned. Pinkie sighed sadly and walked back to behind the counter, waiting to see if somepony would come in to buy something, but no pony did. The next pony to arrive was Applejack, with Fluttershy just behind her.

"Hey there Pinkie" Applejack said with a nod as she went over to the sleeping Rainbow, who had passed out in one of the chairs. Behind her Fluttershy slipped inside, giving Pinkie a smile as she trotted over to the table next to Rainbow. Applejack decided to wake Rainbow up, and Pinkie was going to go give them all a happy welcome, but somepony came in so she had to stay at the counter. As she took the pony's order she could hear Applejack and Rainbow arguing playfully, much to Applejack's delight. Once the pony had left with his order of blueberry muffins Pinkie wandered over to them, getting Applejack's attention when she turned to run back to the counter as another pony came in.

"Hey Rainbow, does Pinkie look different to you at all?" Applejack whispered, her eyes focused on Pinkie's stomach, which had gotten slightly larger over the past two months. Rainbow looked over as well, now noticing it because it was pointed out to her.

"Yeah, that's strange" Rainbow whispered, now interested in this change in Pinkie. Pinkie saw them looking at her out of the corner of her eye, knowing full well that they were looking at her stomach. It had been two months since the night with Discord, and with Mr and Mrs Cake's support she was able to keep it a secret from everypony. While getting the order for the pony that had shown up she thought of an excuse, quickly thinking that she could tell them that she was just gaining weight, but she knew that excuse wouldn't last forever. When Pinkie came back to the counter she saw Twilight sitting with the rest of the ponies that had shown up already, meaning they were just waiting for Rarity to show up.

"Hi girls" Pinkie said as she finally got to walk over to them, making them end their conversation suddenly, "What are you guys talking about?"

"Nothing to worry about Pinkie" Rainbow said quickly, noticing Applejack's troubled look in the corner of her eye, "Anyways, how was everypony's day?"

"Fairly good" Twilight said with a smile, "I had to reorganize every book in the..."

"Good, except for the Cutie Mark Crusaders running around me while I worked" Applejack said, ignoring Twilight's long explanation about how she reorganized the entire library with everypony else. In the background Fluttershy shrugged, her work with animals not bringing up any issues bigger than one of them getting hungry. Pinkie shrugged as well, the hardest part of her day was planning Rarity's party, but she had fun doing that so it didn't count as something bad.

"Hello everypony!" Rarity said from the doorway, posing dramatically as everypony looked at her.

"...and then Spike-" Twilight froze mid speech, "Hi Rarity"

"So, are we going to celebrate MY achievement?" Rarity asked, looking around noticing the absence of party decor. Within seconds Pinkie had her party cannon in front of her, and with a pop of the cannon the entire room was decorated appropriately, with pearly white and royal purple balloons and streamers everywhere. After a few seconds Fluttershy shyly looked around Rainbow's shoulder and saw that everything was okay, and the party was started. As the party went on the talk about Pinkie's slowly growing stomach circulated around the room until it got to Rarity, who decided to come right out with it.

"Pinkie, what is going on with you, why are you getting bigger?" Rarity asked, making Applejack and Rainbow Dash shoot her a look of disbelief, surprised that she of all ponies was the one that let it slip. Pinkie stopped what she was doing and turned to face Rarity with a strange smile on her face.

"Oh, I think I've just been eating way too many cupcakes recently" Pinkie said, looking at her own stomach to make it look like she hadn't noticed that she was getting bigger. Applejack raised an eyebrow as she watched Pinkie shrug it off, her short explanation pleasing Rarity enough that she dropped the conversation. For the rest of the party Applejack watched Pinkie closely, noticing something was off, but Rarity was making it hard with her antics. Most of the party after that was spent with Rarity talking about her big job, making it sound like some amazing tale about her becoming successful. Once she was finished the story everypony started to leave because it was getting late.

"Hey Pinkie, are you sure you eating too many cupcakes is all that's going on?" Applejack asked before she left, being the last pony there.

"Yeah, of course, why do you ask?" Pinkie said with a happy smile.

"It's nothing, forget I asked" Applejack said with one last look at Pinkie before she left. Pinkie followed Applejack with her eyes as she left, having an odd feeling that Applejack knew something was up, but Pinkie didn't really care about it. After saying goodnight to the Cakes, who were working on some orders they had for a party that was coming up, she headed to bed, where Discord was waiting for her in a dream. Tonight Pinkie hoped that she would get to swim through a giant banana split while Discord floated around adding chocolate sprinkles.

Chapter 4: True Feelings

Chapter 4: True Feelings

As Pinkie drifted off to sleep she felt the familiar feeling of her dream beginning. It was a feeling she had begun to feel heavily over the last four months, as it was the only way she could be with Discord she had trained herself to start dreaming as soon as she began to fall asleep, so she could maximize her time with him. Tonight her dream began with an amazing view of the Cupcake Canyon, where the walls of the canyon were pure cupcake, the grass in and around the Canyon was frosting, and a chocolate river flowed through the canyon, coming from a chocolate waterfall. With a quick look around Pinkie spotted Discord sitting in a boat made out of an ice cream cone,  and the paddles were pretzel sticks.

"HI DISCORD!" Pinkie shouted before she jumped from her vantage point at the top of the canyon, diving into the rich chocolate of the river before popping up onto the boat next to Discord, giving him a giant kiss before sitting down.

"Well, hello to you too Pinkie" Discord said, still not used to being kissed by the hyper pink pony. Once she was settled the pretzel sticks began to paddle, leading them out of Cupcake Canyon and into the Ice Cream Fields. From the river Pinkie could see mountains of ice cream of multiple flavors. The Mint Chocolate Chip, Chocolate, Strawberry, Vanilla, Rainbow Sherbet, and Watermelon Mountains stood tall and proud on the horizon, while pecan praline ice cream covered the soft brownie ground. With a loud squeal of joy Pinkie was out of the boat, preparing to devour the Rocky Road mountain. Meanwhile Discord watched and laughed, seeing the mountains being taken down one by one until there was nothing left of them.

"Why didn't you join me?" Pinkie asked sadly when she got back to the boat, a trail in the sherbet snow behind her because she had eaten it all.

"Oh, I was just looking at this" Discord said, pointing at a weird window Pinkie had never seen before. When she looked through it she saw herself a few hours before Discord had arrived on the night he was free...

---------------------------------------------------------------

"Oh, I'm so bored!" Pinkie moaned as she looked outside her window, nothing but the dark Ponyville streets on the other side. For some reason she couldn't get to sleep that night, and was now waiting for the sun to rise so she could go do something fun. She had already raided the kitchen and eaten some leftover cupcakes that were going to get thrown out anyways, so now Pinkie was just completely and utterly bored. Deciding to head back to the kitchen Pinkie climbed off her bed, but froze when she saw a familiar Draconequus standing in her doorway.

"Good evening Miss Pie" Discord said with a cocky smile, making Pinkie raise an eyebrow in confusion.

"I thought you were in stone?" Pinkie asked, "And I thought you hated me and the other elements?"

"Oh, I never hated anypony!" Discord said, acting as dramatic as Rarity usually would, "I was just hoping to have some fun. Even though that fun does involve turning the world into a crazy person's dream land"

"Well, the chocolate milk rain was cool" Pinkie said, happily remembering the short shower she had under a chocolate milk cloud. Discord chuckle quietly before moving over to Pinkie, who was now interested in what Discord was doing at Sugar Cube Corner.

"Pinkie, I wish I could have told you before, but..." Discord said, looking away shyly, "I think you're the prettiest element"

"No silly, that's Rarity, I'm just a silly pony" Pinkie said with a smile, making Discord chuckle again.

"Well, would that silly pony want to become the first lady of chaos?" Discord asked, a finger touching Pinkie's chin. She giggled for a moment after she realized what he meant, and then quickly jumped on him. Pinkie knew the consequences of her actions could be pretty sever, but for one night she wanted to be the "first lady of chaos", and she was going to have fun while doing it.

---------------------------------------------------------------

"Wow, you were really easy back then Pinkie" Discord said in a mock surprise, making Pinkie giggle loudly.

"It was only because it was you silly" Pinkie said, leaning in to give Discord another kiss, but this time she wanted just a little bit more. While she had Discord's lips locked against hers she pulled herself closer to him, wrapping her tiny pony arms around him so she could hold him tight. As time went on they continued to kiss, only breaking apart once Pinkie had started to run out of breath.

"What was that all about?" Discord asked, giving Pinkie a confused look as she tried to refill her lungs.

"I was just being the first lady of chaos again!" Pinkie said happily with a loud giggle, making Discord smile warmly. Despite being an old creature from before Celestia's time he was still managing to be amazed by the pink party pony that was in front of him, eating all of the ice cream that was on the ground. She didn't care that he looked like a small foal's art project, or that he was extremely old, or that he was at one point her enemy. To her he was who he was at the time, not who he had been in the past, and he had to admit, it was way better than being a statue in the gardens where many ponies, young and old, would come by to spit and laugh at him.

"DISCORD!" Pinkie shouted from far away in the field, "I FOUND ANOTHER MOUNTAIN!"

"Ok, I'll be right there!" Discord shouted back with a sweet smile. After closing the window into the night he and Pinkie first got together, which had been showing some of the more intense moments, Discord flew off towards Pinkie, an entire mountain of rocky road ice cream waiting for the both of them.  When the two of them met up at the base of the mountain Discord turned to Pinkie, saying the three words he never would have even imagined saying.

"I love you"

Chapter 5: Half Way There!

Chapter 5: Half Way There!

Pinkie slowly waddled through the streets of Ponyville, many single mares and young foals watching her as she stumbled about, trying to keep her saddlebags on. Her ever growing stomach has now gotten to such a size that her saddlebags would constantly slide off if she didn't want in a funny way. A few mares that she passed by talked about her, viewer her as some kind of lowly mare, saying that one of her parties must have gotten out of hand. The foals she passed by would ask their mother or father where Pinkie's husband was, leaving their parents in hot water. Rumors had been spreading that Pinkie might have been raped, or even tricked into it. Other rumors were spreading that Mr Cake had something to do with it, much to Mrs Cake's annoyance.

"Hey Pinkie" Rainbow said as she glided down next to her, snapping her out of her sad thoughts.

"Oh hey Rainbow" Pinkie said in a somewhat happy way, which caught Rainbow's attention.

"Something wrong Pinkie?" Rainbow asked, landing next to her friend so she could try and comfort her. Pinkie stopped and looked away for a second, just long enough for her saddlebags to slide off her flank. Rainbow hurried to pick up the bags, slinging them onto her own back instead of Pinkie's.

"It's nothing Rainbow, you can give me back my bags now" Pinkie said, a hint of sadness behind her voice, just enough for Rainbow to notice it and worry. She had known Pinkie for the longest time, and couldn't believe that something that she would hide something from her.

"Pinkie, come on, tell me what's bothering you" Rainbow urged, putting a wing over her old friend's back to pull her in. She struggled for a moment but quickly relaxed, leaning into Rainbow's body for support. Her legs had been getting tired from carrying all the extra weight while doing a strange walk.

"It's all the rumors that ponies are spreading" Pinkie said sadly, "That I'm pregnant because I got drunk, or a whore, or that I was..."

"Pinkie, don't say those things" Rainbow said worriedly. Just ahead of them was the library, where Rainbow had been headed before she saw Pinkie trotting sadly through the town, and now Rainbow had an idea. Without saying anything Rainbow picked up the pace, helping Pinkie all the way to the library where she knocked on the door, being greeted by Spike.

"Hey Rainbow, Pinkie" Spike said happily, "What brings you two here today?"

"Oh, why were just in the neighborhood, so I thought we'd stop in" Rainbow said sarcastically, managing to get a quiet giggle from Pinkie. Spike rolled his eyes and let them in, heading upstairs to tell Twilight that the two of them were downstairs. Once Pinkie was sitting down Twilight appeared, her mane a complete mess, and some signs of drool around her mouth.

"Hey girls" Twilight said with a yawn, making Rainbow raise an eyebrow at her. It was unusual to see Twilight in this state, and with how Pinkie was acting Rainbow's day was just getting weirder and weirder. She trotted up to Twilight and led her away, leaving Pinkie to sit where she was, confused and alone. As she looked around the library she spotted a mirror, and inside of it was...

Discord?!

Pinkie leaned forwards and stared at the mirror, the image of Discord waving at her with a happy smile on his face. When she realized that it really was Discord she closed her eyes, forcing herself into a daydream so she could talk to him without looking like she had gone crazy.

---------------------------------------------------------------

"Hi Discord!" Pinkie said happily as she ran up to give Discord a hug. She jumped up at him and he spun her around a few times before putting her back down.

"Hi Pinkie" Discord said with a small smile before leaning in to give her a kiss. She happily kissed him back, giggling like a school girl after they broke apart.  Pinkie looked around the area to see what kind of dream world she had put them into, and was surprised with what she found. Bleak grey mountains, dead or dying grass and trees, dirty brown water, and dark rain clouds were what created the environment around the two of them. Discord noticed her surprise and put a hand on her shoulder.

"There's something bothering you ins't there?" Discord asked, his eyes tracking a small pink pony with straight hair running around in the distance. When he turned around Pinkie was sitting on her flanks with the saddest look he had ever seen on her face. He knelt down beside her and put an arm around her, planning to cheer her up somehow.

"Pinkie, what's going on?" Discord asked as he pulled Pinkie towards him, his tail wrapping around her back so she would be extra close to him.

"Everypony knows something is wrong about me being pregnant, but what they're saying about it..." Pinkie said sadly, a loud and depressing sigh escaping her lips. He looked around slowly to see what was bothering her, knowing that whatever she thought about would appear in the dream world. Off in the distance he spotted a group or mares, overhearing their conversations about the rumors surrounding Pinkie's overgrown stomach.

"Pinkie, I..." Discord began to say, but the dream world, as well as him, suddenly faded away...

---------------------------------------------------------------

"Ugh, finally she's awake" Rainbow groaned as Pinkie's eyes fluttered open, "Took you long enough, we finished the procedure without you"

"Procedure?" Pinkie asked tiredly, still in the process of actually waking up from her dream. In the same mirror she had seen him in before Discord sat, looking at the events unfold with a sad look on his face. He had been in her dream, but had also been watching what was going on around Pinkie at the time, and he knew what was coming.

"Pinkie, Twilight did an ultrasound on you using her magic, she's just figuring out the information now. As if she came at the sound of her name Twilight entered the room, a somber look on her face.

"Pinkie, I'm sorry, but you are actually pregnant" Twilight apologized as she stared at the floor, "We were doing a scan so we could prove all the rumors wrong, but..."

"Woah, Pinkie, what happened, did a stallion hurt you?" Rainbow asked, a fire in her eyes at the though of someone hurting one of her best friends. Pinkie looked between the two of them nervously before darting towards her saddlebags, which Rainbow had left by the door. As soon as they were on Pinkie bolted out of the door, leaving nothing but a trail of dirt and dust behind her. Rainbow and Twilight looked at each other worriedly, and then silently made plans to find out what had happened, no matter what.

Chapter 6: Interrogation

Chapter 6: Interrogation

Pinkie quickly ran back to Sugar Cube Corner, fear keeping her from slipping and ending up with a face full of dirt. When she got inside the bakery she immediately headed upstairs, not bothering to say hi to Mr or Mrs Cake, which made them worried. As soon as Pinkie was upstairs they gave each other a confused look before going back to what they were doing, meanwhile Pinkie was upstairs sitting in front of her mirror frantically looking into hoping to see Discord on the other side. A few minutes passed and he didn't appear, causing Pinkie to begin hyperventilating as she tried to make it to her bed.

"If he's not in the mirror then maybe he'll be in my dreams" Pinkie said as she threw herself onto the bed with a plop, shutting her eyes and immediately dreaming. Once she was "awake" in the dream world the looked around, finding it to be an even bleaker landscape that before. There were no mountains, or grass, or anything but the sun in the sky and the dark rock that made up the ground she was standing on. Along with that was one very important thing missing, and that was Discord himself. Normally he would be in her dream waiting for her somewhere, but she couldn't see him anywhere, and it wasn't like there was somewhere he could hide either. When Pinkie had looked all over she sighed sadly, her head dropping down so she was looking at her hooves. Soon after she began to cry, and the sun began to disappear, the dream becoming as dark as Pinkie was feeling.

"What's wrong my sweet pie?" Discord asked, the dream immediately becoming bright again, blinding him in the process. As he stumbled around Pinkie jumped on him, pushing him to the hard ground with a loud smack. He groaned in pain, but was drowned out by Pinkie's frantic cries as she hugged him tight, never wanting to let go again. Discord knew she was saying something, but couldn't figure out what it was before the dream because to fade away. When Pinkie noticed the dream was fading she woke up, looking around quickly to find out who it was that woke her up.

"Good, she's awake"

---------------------------------------------------------------

Pinkie was trapped in her room, being carefully watched by her five friends as she squirmed on her bed, their careful stare making her more than uncomfortable. Twilight was pacing back and forth in front of her, imitating what she had read in a mystery novel thinking that it would help make Pinkie crack. It wouldn't work on anypony but Pinkie, but her constant squirming was somehow helping her stay together. Eventually Rainbow Dash cracked under the boredom and came flat out with why they were keeping Pinkie trapped in her bedroom.

"Pinkie, why are you pregnant?" Rainbow asked forcefully, "Please just tell us so we can go home!"

"Rainbow!" Twilight whined, her serious detective act now completely useless.

"I'm tired of waiting here, I have better things to do anyways" Rainbow complained, making Rarity laugh, "What's so funny?"

"You having something better to do, I bet you just want to go take a nap somewhere" Rarity said, obviously mocking Rainbow Dash, "You could just leave you know, it's not like you're doing anything here anyways" Rainbow was just about ready to pounce on Rarity when Twilight jumped in between the two of them, holding them apart with her magic. Applejack and Fluttershy quickly moved to hold Rainbow and Rarity back so Twilight could continue her "interrogation" of Pinkie, but not before Rainbow managed to spit in Rarity's direction.

"So uncouth" Rarity said as she looked away, opting to look outside Pinkie's window rather than continue to fight Rainbow. On the other side of the room Rainbow was mumbling angrily to herself, annoying Applejack to no end. Once things were settled Twilight continued her pacing, making Pinkie start to feel the pressure, She knew the only reason Rainbow and Rarity fought with each other is because they were there, waiting for her to spill the beans. The thought of losing two friends because she stayed quiet eventually made Pinkie crack, but what she said made no sense to anypony.

"ONENIGHTDISCORDGOTLOOSEANDCAMEHERETOSEEMEANDWEHADSEXANDNOWI'MPREGNANTWITHHISFOALBUTIDIDN'TWANTTOTELLANYPONYBECAUSEITHOUGHTYOUWOULDALLHATEMEFORIT!" Pinkie shouted quickly, catching everypony but Twilight off guard. She managed to listen to, and figure out, what Pinkie had said, her jaw dropping immediately. Eventually the mess of words began to make sense to the others, and their mouths were soon hanging open as well.

"YOU WHAT?!" the five of them asked all together, making Pinkie cringe slightly. She knew things wouldn't go over well with them once they found out, so she slowly closed her eyes, preparing to face the music, but suddenly felt somepony hug her, soon to be joined by four others.

"Pinkie, we could never hate you" Applejack said, making Pinkie smile, "Even if you did sleep with our greatest enemy, it was your choice"

"It was your choice right dear?" Rarity asked, a horrible thought having popped into her head as Applejack spoke. Pinkie nodded slowly, getting warm smiles from all of her friends. Of course they were freaked out at first, but they couldn't do anything about it now, and they knew that, but now there was only one question left to ask.

"Pinkie, do you and Discord love each other?" Twilight asked, a worried look on her face, giving Pinkie a very different feeling than the other four were. Pinkie thought about it for a second, remembering what Discord had said in one of her dreams a while ago, a happy smile finding it's way across her face.

"Yes, yes we do" Pinkie said with a smile, changing Twilight's frown to a warm and comforting smile as they all pulled Pinkie into another hug. Of course Pinkie knew that Twilight had to tell the princesses about it, but Pinkie made sure to tell her that Discord is back in his stone statue, and is only able to visit her through her dreams and mirrors. Once Pinkie had told them all about some of the more interesting moments she and Discord had together they all said goodbye, their happy smiles as they trotted away making Pinkie feel happier than she had ever before.

Chapter 7: Royal Reaction

Chapter 7: Royal Reaction

As another busy day in the court came to a close Celestia sat up off her throne and prepared to head up to her tower, still awaiting a friendship report from Twilight, who hadn't handed one in in over a month. Celestia knew that Twilight and her friends had already learned quite a bit about friendship, but a report every now and then would be-

*POP*

"Oh, a letter from Twilight!" Celestia said happily as she grabbed the letter with her magic. Seeing the letter had managed to brighten Celestia's day more than a roll of paper should, but it did, and she was more than excited to sit down and read what was inside. As Celestia opened the letter she could feel an odd sensation wash over her, a sensation she eventually placed as hatred. As she began to read the letter she felt the hatred turn to anger, surprising herself.

Dear Princess Celestia,

As you faithful student and most trusted subject I know that I must tell you of what has happened to Pinkie Pie, the Element of Laughter. Six months ago Discord managed to break out of his stone prison, and during his night of freedom he met up with Pinkie Pie, effectively seducing her. Afterwards the two parties involved performed the act of intercourse, and as such Pinkie has become pregnant. We have only recently learned of this development, and I felt that it was my duty as your faithful student to inform you about what has transpired.

Your faithful student, Twilight Sparkle

Celestia froze instantly as she got to the end of the letter, reading it over a few more times to make sure she wasn't hallucinating. Not only had Discord somehow broken out of his prison, but he had also managed to impregnate on of the Elements of Harmony, and has tricked her into believing that he loves her. She has known Discord for longer than she can imagine, and this news only made her hatred for him grow, her thoughts of him becoming strong enough for him to appear in her mirror.

"Hello Tia" Discord said with a happy smile. When she heard his voice she just about shot her mirror with a bolt of magic, but she had managed to calm herself down fast enough to avoid it. She carefully trotted over to the mirror, Discord's image being the only thing inside.

"What, no hello?" Discord asked, sounding disappointed.

"Discord, why did you do it, what did you hope to gain from this?" Celestia asked firmly, making Discord cringe. She knew what had happened, and it scared him.

"Originally it was so that I could escape my prison for good, but afterwards, after what we did..." Discord trailed off, his ancient face turning a shade of pink, "The plan backfired and in the end, I had fallen for her" Celestia's watchful eyes scanned every inch of Discord's face, and when she found no proof of him lying she let out a loud sigh.

"How did you manage to fall for one of the very ponies that sealed you away..." Celestia muttered as she want to go lay down, tired from a days work, but Discord had other plans.

"My dear sweet princess, had you forgotten that I am but a creature as well, and any creature is susceptible to the charms of a female?" Discord asked, making Celestia look back at him, "Pinkie Pie is just as chaotic as me, the only thing she lacks that would make her trouble is true power like mine"

"Why are you telling me this?" Celestia asked, giving Discord a very confused look.

"Because you asked why I fell for her" Discord said honestly, "I thought it would be good of me to let you know the truth, as it is not something you can't prevent anymore" Celestia knew he was right, but his honesty did give her an idea. Once Discord had disappeared from her mirror Celestia flew off from her balcony, heading straight towards Ponyville.

---------------------------------------------------------------

"Pinkamena Diane Pie" Celestia said as she trotted over to Pinkie, who had been having some fun with the Cakes before she arrived, "Please, come with me" Pinkie's eyes shot open with fear when she realized why Celestia was there, and all she wanted to do was run, but she wasn't stupid, she knew she wouldn't get very far. Without saying anything Pinkie followed Celestia upstairs and into her bedroom, where Celestia quickly ordered Pinkie to go over by her bed.

"Pinkie, I am going to check the foal now, please stay as still as you can" Celestia ordered as her horn began to glow, a white golden light shining from it and onto Pinkie's stomach. The scanning tickled Pinkie a little bit, but she managed to stay still, only a small giggle escaping her lips. As Celestia went over the results of the scan Pinkie hopped onto her bed, wanting to be sitting down when Celestia told her the results.

"Well Pinkie, you are in luck" Celestia said with a sigh, "The foal is completely healthy, and as far as I can tell, it is entirely normal as well, earning little to no traits from Discord's DNA"

"So, are you not angry at me?" Pinkie asked, Celestia's actions being far different from what she had been expecting.

"On the contrary, I am extremely angry and disappointed in you, but..." Celestia paused to look at Pinkie's stomach, "I cannot in my right mind bring harm to a foal that has not yet been born, nor it's mother. Along with that with all that you have done for me and Equestria, it would be wrong of me to imprison you for doing as you wished"

"But Discord is an enemy of Equestria, and he got me pregnant with my consent" Pinkie said, her voice sounding shaky, "Isn't there some kind of law against this or something?"

"Pinkie, there will be no punishment for you, you have already brought it upon yourself" Celestia explained, "You have forced yourself to raise a foal entirely by yourself, even after carrying it to term. Your punishment is to see to the well being of this unborn foal as it's mother and only parent" Pinkie looked down slowly and gave a small nod, letting Celestia know that she knew what she had to do. Once Celestia was sure Pinkie knew what she was going to have to do, Celestia left, waving goodbye to the Cakes and any other ponies that had happened to be around at the time. Now all Celestia could do, was hope for the best, for the foal, and for Pinkie.

Chapter 8: Aftermath

Chapter 8: Aftermath

Pinkie Pie was sitting in her room, all by herself, for the tenth day straight. Ever since Celestia had come to visit many of her friends, except for Rainbow Dash, had not come to see her, and Discord has been busy with something as well, meaning she was truly alone. With each day Pinkie was noticing that Rainbow was visiting for less and less time, and while she was there she was visibly uncomfortable. If she wasn't the element of loyalty Pinkie was sure she would have been like her other friends and not shown up at all. Even Fluttershy, the kindest and sweetest pony in Ponyville didn't want to come to visit Pinkie.

"What did I do wrong..." Pinkie whispered sadly to herself as the noises of the Cake twins happily playing in their room came through the walls. It had been a week since she had been allowed into their room to play with them. The last time she was Pinkie had snapped at them, causing both of them to become afraid of her. Mr and Mrs Cake had told her to stay away from them for a little while, claiming that the time away would allow the twins to forget about her snapping at them, but Pinkie knew deep down that it was an excuse so she wouldn't do something like it again.

"Pinkie?" Mrs Cake asked slowly from the doorway, her head just barely peeking through into the room. When she saw Pinkie she was shocked. Her normally bouncy mane was straight as it could be, and her vibrant colors seemed to have drained from her, leaving two bleak shades of pink in their place.

"Yes Mrs Cake?" Pinkie asked sadly, not bothering to turn and face Mrs Cake directly, instead staring at her through the mirror.

"We were told to come and get you," Mrs Cake said, looking back behind the door at Mr Cake, "You have to go for a check up today" Pinkie sighed quietly before getting off her stool and heading for the door, her emotionless face crying out for attention, but Mr and Mrs Cake were both unsure of what to do. They had never seen Pinkie act this way before in all the time they've known her, and if she ever let it show before, she did it discretely.

"Are you guys coming with me?" Pinkie asked slowly from the bottom of the stairs, snapping Mr and Mrs Cake out of their thoughts. They gave each other a worried look before heading down the stairs together. Once they were all situated Mrs Cake grabbed the twins, who had stumbled to the stairs when they heard their parents going down. As soon as the closed sign was placed on the door they headed off, towards Pinkie's seven month check up.

---------------------------------------------------------------

"Well that went..." Mr Cake tried to say as the group left the hospital's main entrance, "Okay?"

"I wouldn't exactly say that honey bun" Mrs Cake said sadly as she looked at Pinkie, who was looking down at the ground as she trotted up a head. Mrs Cake had headed into the room with her, so she could have some moral support, but it didn't help her any. The entire appointment had been surrounded by an awkward atmosphere, things heading downhill as soon as the doctor had seen Discord's name in the box for the father of the foal. After that Pinkie became unresponsive and attempted to end the appointment as fast as she could, but it still took at least an hour for them to get out.

"What happened in there?" Mr Cake asked as Pinkie kicked a rock so hard that it got stuck in a tree stump. Mrs Cake sighed and told him that they did an ultrasound. When they looked at the scan they saw a small Pegasus, but it had something that stumped the doctor, and that was a goat's horn. They had to call another two doctors into the room so they could confirm that it was a goat's horn and not just a strange growth or dead twin. As Pinkie heard the news her color faded even more, her bright blue eyes becoming a depressing navy color.

"Wow..." Mr Cake said as he looked at Pinkie, who was now nowhere to be seen. The Cakes looked around frantically, and after running up ahead they found the door to the bakery open, a pink tail disappearing into it just as they got there. Despite how worried the Cakes were they knew they would have to give Pinkie some time to adjust to the news, as well as to figure out whatever it was that was bothering her already. In the meantime the Cakes would get back to work, as the day was not over yet.

Meanwhile Pinkie was laying on her bed, staring blankly up at the ceiling. She had remembered what Discord had shown her in one of her dreams about the foal, but never did he mention that it might be born with some strange horn or anything like that. At first Pinkie was afraid that the foal, which was also confirmed to be a filly, was going to be bullied and made fun of for being different, but the more she thought about it the more she was afraid of what Celestia was going to do. If the foal could use magic, and it was half as powerful as it's father, then it would have to be kept locked away forever, or worse...

"Why did this all have to happen?" Pinkie asked as she began to cry, stuffing her face into her pillow so that no pony could hear her sobs, a kick coming from her stomach to remind her why she was so sad. Thoughts of the young filly having a terrible life flashed through her mind, ranging from extreme bullying, all the way to spending her days just like her father, imprisoned in stone. As Pinkie continued to sob she heard Mrs Cake scream from downstairs, followed by the sound of dishes shattering, and then Pinkie's door opening a few moments later. When she turned around she saw Discord himself standing in the doorway, a sad smile on his face.

"Hello my sweet strawberry pie"

Chapter 9: One on One

Chapter 9: One on One

Without saying a single thing Pinkie jumped off her bed, hitting Discord square in the chest as she wrapped herself around him, never wanting to let go of him again. He let out a quiet chuckle as he hugged her back, a happy hum escaping from her lips. From behind Discord Mrs Cake watched in horror, the sight of the god of chaos having scared the daylight out of her, but had also peaked her curiosity. When she saw Pinkie hugging him the way she was, Mrs Cake couldn't help but feel protective of her, Pinkie was almost like a daughter to her now. Of course, Discord knew this, so as soon as Pinkie let go he moved towards Mrs Cake, lowering himself down so he wasn't as intimidating.

"I know that you feel protective, but I mean no pony any harm" Discord said calmly, in such a way that Mrs Cake couldn't help but believe him. After Discord gave her a small smile Mrs Cake headed downstairs, wanting to continue her work rather then intrude on the two of them, who obviously had a lot of catching up to do. Thankfully Mr Cake didn't see Discord come in, otherwise he would have had quite a few words for the thousand year old god, and none of them being nice.

"Pinkie, I'm sorry for not being there for the past week" Discord said, genuinely apologizing to Pinkie for what happened, "Celestia took me out of the stone and interrogated me, eager to find out if I was really in love with you or not"

"What did she say?" Pinkie asked, a very worried look quickly taking the place of her smile. Discord gave Pinkie a small smile as he walked over to her bedside, sitting down next to her.

"Yes" Discord answered quickly, Pinkie's shocked reaction telling him to actually say it, "Pinkie, I do love you" With a loud squeal of excitement Pinkie wrapped her forelegs around Discord, pulling him so close that if it wasn't for his flexible spine she probably would have snapped him in half. Discord opted to be the reasonable one in this exchange, only giving Pinkie a pat on the back until she left him go, and it was then when he quickly leaned in to give her a loving kiss.

"Do you know about..." Pinkie asked, looking down at her stomach rather than actually saying it, and Discord understood what she meant. With a sad smile he nodded, making Pinkie feel down as well, but he quickly went to fix that.

"I know it seems like it'll be hard, but I'll be here for both you, and her, okay?" Discord said, resting a hand on her stomach as he did. While they looked at each other happily he felt a strong kick, making him laugh loudly, much to Pinkie's confusion. He continued to laugh for a few minutes before calming down, finally allowing Pinkie to ask a question.

"What's so funny?" Pinkie asked, raising an eyebrow at Discord as he whipped away a stray tear from his eyes.

"I felt her kick" Discord said cheerfully, making Pinkie smile. The two of them began to laugh together for a while, eventually laying back down onto the bed together. Without saying anything Pinkie turned towards Discord, snuggling up against him with a happy hum, making him smile as well. It had been just over seven months since they had last been this close together, and now that they were together again they couldn't be happier. Everything that had been happening to Pinkie since Celestia come to her seemed to leave her mind as she snuggled Discord.

"Got any plans for today Pinkie?" Discord asked, turning face Pinkie with a smile still on his face.

"Not that I know of, why?" Pinkie asked back, not sure why Discord would ask her something like that. Without saying anything Discord closed his eyes, confusing Pinkie. Eventually she fell asleep as well, and as had become common over the past seven months she slipped straight into a dream...

---------------------------------------------------------------

"Took you long enough" Discord complained as the dream solidified itself, becoming a bright and colorful landscape. When she looked all around her she saw a ring of trees around the two of them, as well as a small house. Pinkie turned to face Discord, raising an eyebrow at him as she smiled.

"What's all this about?" Pinkie asked, nodding her head towards the house in the middle of the clearing. Discord got up from where he was laying, making his way towards the house, motioning for Pinkie to follow him up. When they got into the house Pinkie was met with the smell of freshly baked sweets. Heading into the kitchen she found trays of brownies, cupcakes, and muffins, as well as a full cake, just begging her to eat them.

"Go ahead Pinkie, they're for you" Discord said as he entered the kitchen, seeing Pinkie's hungry eyes as she looked at the treats. Within a second Pinkie was chowing down on the treats, having eaten the entire cake in one bite. Discord watched with a happy smile as Pinkie devoured all the treats that he had created for her, giggling happy every time she moved to the next tray over. Just as she was getting to the end of the brownies Discord pulled another tray out from behind him, which had a quadruple chocolate ice cream cake on it, complete with tiny brownie bits inside.

"Is that for me..." Pinkie asked as her eyes grew as wide as the moon. She utterly amazed by how much chocolate was on one desert, and with Discord being the one to hand it to her.

"Of course Pinkie, who else would it be for?" Discord asked jokingly, placing the cake down on the counter next to her. She then tried to eat the cake all in one bite, but the pure chocolaty flavors were just too much for her, and she passed out in a "chocolate coma". Discord smiled a laughed, placing a soft kiss on her forehead before disappearing.

"I'll see you again soon, my sweet pie"

Chapter 10: Party Popper

Chapter 10: Party Popper

Mrs Cake watched as Pinkie slowly waddled to the front counter  from the stairs, her growing stomach making working impossible, but she wouldn't take no for an answer. After Discord arrived, causing her to shatter a plate in shock, Pinkie was suddenly refilled with energy, eager to work no matter what. To make matters worse, Pinkie wouldn't take no for an answer and her mood swings have fun the bakery even more than if she was missing.

"Pinkie dear, why don't you let me handle the counter today?" Mrs Cake asked, remembering an incident a few days ago where Pinkie snapped at a customer because he wanted a type of muffin that they only had once a year, and that time was not now. Pinkie ended up chewing the poor stallion out and almost jumped at him when he began to argue back. They didn't know for sure, but they were almost certain that the guard that arrived a hour or two later was sent by the pony she decided to fight with.

"But Mrs Cake, I can still do work..." Pinkie whined, her bottom lip popping out in an effort to persuade Mrs Cake to sit down again, but it wasn't going to work on her this time around. With a stern look an a unhappy grunt she managed to get Pinkie to stop working, but she looked around eager to do something else today. A loud crash could be heard coming from the kitchen, and before Mrs Cake could say anything Pinkie was gone, leaving nothing but a very tired Mrs Cake behind.

"What's going on Mr Cake?" Pinkie asked happily as she looked around, seeing bits and pieces of chocolate chip cookies scattered across the floor. As her eyes finally settled on Mr Cake she saw him getting run over by the twins, who had also been the reason why he was sprawled out on the floor in front of the counter with his head down.

"Pinkie, I hate to bother you but..." Mr Cake began to ask weakly, raising his head just a bit, right in time to get whacked by the cookie tray that Pumpkin was tossing around with her magic. Pinkie giggled quietly and moved over to Pumpkin, who happily latched onto her leg as if she was a magnet. After a few minutes of searching she found Pound, who did the same thing, making it almost impossible for Pinkie to walk now, but she was still going.

"Okay, off you go" Pinkie said as she shook her legs out one by one, forcing the twins to plop onto the ground with confused looks on their faces. They were used to playing with Pinkie for a couple hours when she would normally take them upstairs, but today she just dropped them off and locked them in. The twins looked at each other in confusion before Pound noticed the open toy box in the corner of the room, and soon enough their room was a minefield, with toys strewn about haphazardly. However, outside the room was a different story, as the only thing strewn about was Pinkie, as she had suddenly collapsed to the ground from exhaustion.

---------------------------------------------------------------

"Hello Pinkie" Discord said happily as the dream world materialized around Pinkie and him, as he had been waiting for her to dream eagerly ever since he left the bakery a few days ago. As he had explained to Pinkie before he left, the deal was that he would get to spend one week out in the world, and one week in the statue, until he proved himself to be a changed pony, then he might get to stay out permanently. The deal has now been going for over two months, and with it has come a change in how Pinkie acts.

"Discord?" Pinkie asked confusedly, not sure why she was in the dream world so suddenly, but she was happy nonetheless. Pinkie loved ever moment, real or dream, that she spent with Discord, even more so now that her due date was rapidly approaching.

"Is everything okay my sweet pie?" Discord asked as he got up, slowly making his way over to Pinkie. She looked down at the ground and thought about everything that had happened up to her entering the dream world, and her eyes grew wide.

"I passed out after dropping the twins off in their room..." Pinkie said slowly, her voice suddenly becoming very distant. When she looked around she saw the dream world disappearing, a solid white ceiling replacing it...

---------------------------------------------------------------

"Oh, she's waking up" a strange pony said, his voice sounding muffled at first but it quickly cleared up. Pinkie sat up slowly, her head feeling like somepony had hit it over and over with a baking tray, and when she looked around she found herself surrounded by the Cakes, her friends, and a doctor she didn't know.

"What happened?" Pinkie asked groggily, shaking her head slightly to try and wake herself up a bit more. She felt a sharp pain in the back of her head and when she moved a hoof to it she touched a large bandage they had placed there.

"Pinkie, dear, you collapsed at the bakery" Rarity said, an extremely worried look on her face. This would be the first time Pinkie has spoken to her in over two months, and she was surprised that her, and the others, would show up now over something like that.

"So, why am I in the hospital?" Pinkie asked, confused as to what made this time special. She had collapsed before, but usually the Cake would just put her in her bed and let her sleep until she woke up again. Mrs Cake coughed so that Pinkie would look at her, and then she spoke up.

"Sweetie, you almost went into labor" Mrs Cake said sadly, making Pinkie raise an eyebrow. Before Pinkie could ask what she meant a nurse came by, reminding the doctor and everypony else that visiting hours are over for today. Once everypony said goodbye the doctor came to her bedside.

"Miss Pie, you will be staying here overnight, just in case you do go into labor early" the doctor explained, using his magic to put a button that he had on the nightstand, "If you do, try and hit this button, ok?"

"Ok..." Pinkie said quietly, her eyes focused completely on the bump that was still in front of her. After a few more seconds the doctor left, turning off the light as he did. Now that Pinkie was in complete darkness she broke down, the thoughts of going into early labor and losing the foal coming to the front of her mind. For almost and hour straight Pinkie sobbed, not wanting it to happen now, not wanting her first and only foal to be in danger...

*Kick*

"Ow" Pinkie said quickly as her stomach kicked, and hard.

*KICK*

"OW!"

*KICK*

"O-" Pinkie stopped, a wet feeling coming from around her flanks. Within a second Pinkie was reaching over, her hoof slamming down on the button as hard as it could. A few short minutes later the room was filled with nurses and doctors, all of them responding to the button press. When they came in their eyes grew wider than Pinkie had ever seen before.

"Miss Pie..." one of them said, "You're in labor"

Chapter 11: Pie +1

Chapter 11: Pie +1

Pinkie felt like her body was ripping apart as the doctors told her to spread her hind legs. A few of the nurses had run out to get the necessary equipment for the birthing, and in the meantime the doctors were quickly attempting to stabilize Pinkie as her heart rate became erratic. As the labor started to really get going Pinkie could feel her heartbeat going crazy in her chest, and combined with the ripping feeling from her lower body.

"Pinkie, are you okay?!" one of the doctors shouted from her lower body, trying to get her to respond. Pinkie attempted to try and reply, but her vision started to get hazy and stars began to appear in her peripheral vision. One of the nurses saw Pinkie's eyes start to roll back into her head from the pain and stepped up to her, pulling her head forward so she would come back completely. As Pinkie came back she heard one of the doctors shout at her to push, and without even thinking she did as he asked. The pain began to increase as she pushed, the doctor's voice becoming muffled and hard to understand as it went on. Eventually she felt a extremely sharp pain coming from her lower body, and for a split second she felt as if her body was actually ripping apart, and then, nothing...

Pinkie slowly lifted her head up, trying to see what was going on, being confused as to why the pain had just suddenly stopped and now her lower body felt numb. She looked around slowly, watching as all of the nurses and doctors began to huddle around the end of her hospital bed.

"What's going on...?" Pinkie asked slowly, her voice coming out very hoarse and tired. One of the younger nurses looked away from the group and saw Pinkie looking around in confusion, her eyes extremely distant and blank.

"You just had your foal Miss Pie" the nurse said happily, sounding slightly tired from the work she had to do in helping the doctors. One of the doctors turned around soon after to come and talk to Pinkie while the nurses began to clean the foal off and the other doctors left.

"Miss Pie, the foal is healthy, but it is a very early birth, so we will need to watch it closely" the doctor said, putting a hoof on hers, "You did a great job"

"Is it okay, why isn't it crying?" Pinkie asked, remembering Mrs Cake stories about the twins' birth, knowing that foals usually come out and start to cry as soon as they were out. The doctor quickly ran over to the nurses and checked on the foal, making Pinkie's mind start to race at a thousand miles a minute. Was the foal not normal, was it dead, was it-

"There we go!" the doctor said loudly as the foal began to cry, making Pinkie's thoughts stop dead in their tracks, quickly being replaced with thoughts of what the foal looked like, how it was doing, and how closely she could hug it when they passed it to her. After a few seconds one of the nurses carried a small bundle over to her, and when she handed the foal to her it began to squirm.

"Hey there little filly..." Pinkie said happily as she raised her hoof up to the foal, which it took happily and began to suck on it. All of the nurses in the room sighed happily as they watched the filly suck on Pinkie's hoof, Pinkie's happy smile being contagious. As she continued to watch her foal the door opened, and in came everypony that had been there earlier when she had woken up came through, as well as one new visitor.

"Discord?!" Pinkie shouted happily as the thousand year old god slipped through the door, a happy smile on his face. He stepped up to the bedside and gave Pinkie a kiss on the forehead before turning to the foal.

"She has her mother's eyes..." Discord said happily as he put a finger near the foal, which she tried to grab out of interest. He laughed happily as the foal shoved the finger into it's mouth, gumming it happily. Everypony in the room cooed happily as they watched what was happening, the heart warming scene making even the old god of chaos seem like the sweetest thing in the world.

"And she has her father's horn" Pinkie said with a smile as she looked at the goat horn that was on the filly's head. Discord smiled happily and leaned down, kissing the little filly on it's horn, getting another round of coos from the ponies in the room. While everyone recovered from the cuteness the doctor came up to the other side of the bed.

"Have you thought of a name?" the doctor asked, holding a clipboard next to him with his magic. Pinkie and Discord looked at each other, and with a smile and a nod they turned back to the doctor.

"Surprise" they both said, getting a smile from the doctor as he wrote the name down on the paper. Once he had the form filled out he left, taking all of the nurses with him, allowing the ponies that had arrived for Pinkie to crowd around her bed.

"It's so cute" Mrs Cake said as she watched the filly trying to grab Pinkie's puffy mane.

"It's going to be a great flier" Rainbow said as she saw the filly's wings move under the blanket it was wrapped up in.

"I can teach it how to use magic!" Twilight said happily, her head filling with thoughts of teaching the filly to lift things with magic, and how to use magic to do some amazing things. The rest of the ponies simply stared at her, happy smiles on her face, and then Pinkie looked up to Discord again.

"It's our little Surprise..." Discord said happily as the filly continued to squirm, now trying to grab his beard.

"Yeah..." Pinkie said slowly as she looked back down at the filly, "Our little Surprise..."
