CH.2 Two Become One

A few days passed since Stella had come to Ponyville. She was already welcome here like she was here since the beginning. Vinyl had seen her a few times when he went on his walks during his breaks. He always said hello to her and she would simply reply with a ‘hello’ and then a small smile. She had gotten a house in Ponyville and she was getting it furnished, so she didn’t have much free time on her hooves right now. He understood completely, he knew what it was like to be busy and have no free time. He worked in a club with a bunch of drunks and horny mares. He would let her get back to the things she had to do; he did not want her to feel pressured in any way. He wanted her to be happy.

Vinyl was in the club, spinning his records for the crowd of ponies below. He was looking around the room; everypony was having a good time as usual. His eyes rested on the entrance just as Stella walked through the door. Vinyl smiled brightly and continued to work on his equipment, trying to keep busy for the last minute of the song until he could go down and see her. Stella took a seat and looked up to where he was working. Vinyl looked up and their gaze met, both of them smiling at one another just as the song ended.

Vinyl took off his headphones and hopped off of his podium and walked over to Stella. He was smiling the entire way, not because of seeing her, that was a lie, he was elated to see her; but it was because she was here watching him work and listening to the sound he produced. At that moment he couldn’t be happier.

He was going to do it tonight; he was going to let her know how he truly feels about her; not with words but with his music. He was going to play the song that he had created after he had met her…Stereo Heart.

“Wow, you sure do know how to work with mixing equipment, you make beautiful music” Stella said to him, looking him over. She never actually took the time to do so. He was marble white and had a blue mane with electric blue streaks running through it. He had a musical note for his cutie mark and now she could see why. She then looked back up at his face. He had moved his shades up onto his forehead. She looked at his eyes, they were a beautiful crimson red, and the flashing lights in the club practically got lost in them. He was looking at her, smiling.

“Thank you, it’s what I do best, now I have a surprise for you in a little bit; I really hope you’ll like it” Vinyl said to her, watching her blush when he said that.

He trotted back over to his podium and hopped up onto it. He got behind his equipment and started to get ready. He leaned over to the microphone “I have dedicated this next song to one of my friends here in the room tonight” he said looking over to Stella, whose face was completely red.

He started to go to work, he started to adjust dials and fidget with his equipment. The sound that he produced made the entire club go silent. The speakers were pumping out the tune that showed how Vinyl truly felt about Stella. The sound was like a heartbeat, Vinyl’s heartbeat. He had also managed to put some lyrics into it as well just to add to how he felt. He looked down at Stella, who was staring back up at him, mouth agape.

As Stella listened to the beautiful music that her friend was making, she couldn’t help but feel completely overwhelmed with joy and pure happiness. He was playing a song that he dedicated to her which was from his heart. She knew what the song was about; she could see by the way he always looks at her. He loved her; the music he was playing right now told her that. She feels the same way about him, even only if they had only known each other for a week. Tears were forming in her eyes; she has never heard anything so beautiful in her entire life. She sat there and continued to listen to the music that her friend was making, feeling like a young teen again at her first concert.

After he was done he said into the microphone “That is my newest song ‘Stereo Heart’”

He hopped off the stage once more and walked back over to Stella, who had a huge smile painted on her face. He looked at here and smiled too, how was he not able to.

“I know how you feel about me…and I feel the same way about you too” “That was the most beautiful thing I have ever heard in my life” Stella said looking into Vinyl’s deep red eyes.

It was as if Vinyl’s heart had exploded with joy; his friend now knew how he truly felt about her and she felt the same way! “I have come to love being around you, you bring me so much happiness when I am around you, this place comes nowhere close to that.”

“I know you do” She said to him, starting to get tears in her eyes again.

He reached up and wiped the tears away with his hoof “I love you, you are part of me now, I will never let anything bad ever happen to you” He said smiling, he too now starting to get tears in his eyes.

“I love you too, I love being around you, you make me so happy, when you tell me stories, all of the jokes you tell me, everything is just better when you are there with me” She said looking up at him.

“C’mon I’ll walk you home, it’s getting late” He said to her, as they started to walk to the door.

She nodded and they left the club. They walked side by side down the cobble streets of Ponyville, Smiling as they walked. Vinyl would occasionally glance at Stella, and she would do the same. When they reached her house they stood on the in front of the door for a moment. “I love you Stella” Vinyl said softly.

“I love you too” Stella said back to him.

Then they leaned in to each other. They kissed, both of them cherishing every moment of it. Pure love was shooting through their bodies as they stood there. They stood there and kissed for a good few minutes. They never wanted the moment to end, to both of them it was like a dream that had come true. The bond was sealed forever. The two had become one. They both unconditionally loved each other and nothing would ever change how they feel for each other.

Vinyl pulled away “Goodnight, see you tomorrow.”

“Ok, see you tomorrow” Stella said softly.

Vinyl walked back to the club in silence. His mind was racing with thoughts about tonight. He now knows what it truly feels like to love somepony else and it felt wonderful. He loved her and she loved him back! His life was forever changed tonight for now he has someone to care for. He was truly happy now.
