Rarity went to the village Baltimare where she had been raised with her family. The unicorn pony went on a train to that village, as she had a bad dream about that place last night. After crossing Appleloosa had she ended up in Baltimare that day. It was a quiet little town in the middle of nowhere at a forest. But now it was too quiet. Ponies used to go out and shop, but now it had been abandoned. Shops were closed, and the houses stood empty. Rarity had been there last week where it had been full of life. The unicorn pony got startled by ghostly ponies looking at her through the many windows.

"I have to ask if anypony is here." Rarity shouted.

But nopony answered. Rarity heard voices of farm animals, steps, fillies laughing and ponies shout names of citizens that Rarity had not heard before. The things who talked were invisible for Rarity. As the pony went down to the forest had she thought she was safe. But the remains of living dead ponies who lived in the old trees chased her away again. As the unicorn pony went up in the village again had she met with a pony.

"You must leave this village now." the pony told Rarity.

Rarity had a flashback of her bad dream. A pony had destroyed the village with her magic. Then the pony left that village as fast as she could, and would not come back there again. That next morning had Rarity found a book in her home about Baltimare.

"For hundred years ago a disaster happened in Baltimare, who once had been a bigger city." Rarity read.

"Two ponies escaped from Baltimare last year, as they told that ghostly ponies speaking in vanished dialects lived in old and abandoned farms." the pony read.

The book had galleries filled of a lively Baltimare city  for 200 years ago with a fair, ponies having picnics in the forest by the city and how ponies worked on their farms way back then.
