Chapter 3: Chapter III
Previous Chapter“Rarity.. L-Look out!” I still hear the words banging loudly and booming in my head, echoing. The chimes are making me dizzy, well, dizzier.
Echoing so loudly, it felt like it pierced my head. My eyes flashed open, and I saw a bright light shine right in between my eyes. My head was strained against a solid, flat, substance. It was very cold, and sent shivers through my spine, like a cold stream of water slowly trickling down. I extended my hoof out. Damn, I haven’t seen anything bright, mentally or physically in days. I peered over to my left, to see a spotlight shining among a blurry bald cat, a completely fur-less creature, a tattered purple bow dangling from its mouth. I squinted at the blurry creature. I need my glasses, that would work better. Everything seemed so foggy. It was hard to make out if the cat was close to me or not, but after awhile of nearly squeezing my eyelids shut, I noticed who it was.
“Opale-Opa,” It was hard to say words. I traveled off into an ‘Opa, Les, Opal’ sequence until the talking feel caught onto me again. “Opalescence? My dear, sweet, baby?” I coo’d her in the nicest way possible without flipping out. My voice was shaky and uneven. Almost broken, you can say.
“C’mere, sweet honey, Mama’s here..” Speaking of ‘Mama’, How did I look? I felt a gust of wind, breath, something warm and tender feel against the surface of my fur. My horn... I never paid attention to that. I felt the heated gust again, this time, I could feel my mishapen mane brush away from me in the distance. I felt a knife strike my hoof, deep through my rugged flesh, and I scowled out in pain.
“Oh, sh-shi.. Ohh...” I screamed a mixture of stutters and squeals. I couldn’t hear myself, it was completely silent. I opened my mouth again, only to hear the same exact thing; an empty gust of silence. I tried opening my mouth one more time, and that’s when I...
