The Lord of the Cupcakes
Chapter 2: The Fellowship of the Cupcake: Part1: Shadows of the Past
Previous ChapterBon Bon Baggins slipped into her Hoppitt hole undetected. She was undetected because she was invisible. When she had wiped her hooves on her welocome mat, she reappeared.
"Oh, I am so clever," she said, tossing the cupcake she was holding up into the air. She set the pastry on her bed and began packing a suitcase full of nessesities. Suddenly, the door opened.
"Bon Bon?"
"Twidalf?!" Bon Bon swung to look at the wizard.
"What are you doing?" Twidalf approached Bon Bon.
"I'm leaving." Bon Bon looked positively sad. "I want to see the Elvish ponies again. And the mountains! So everything's going to Pinkie.
Twidalf came closer.
"Even the Cupcake?"
Bon Bon looked startled.
"I - uh, well, I was, uhh. . .yea . . . I guess . . . "
"I really think the Cupcake should stay, old friend."
"Ohhh . . ." Bon Bon said slowly and carefully, "alright. If you say so." She turned to Twidalf. "You will take care of her . . . right, Twi?"
"Of course."
Bon Bon opened the circular door to the house.
"Well, I must be going now," she said, "and I don't think I'll be coming back." She paused. "Actually, I don't intend to come back at all."
"Farewell . . . Bon Bon."
The door closed.
Twidalf moved over to the bed where the Cupcake lay. It looked just like anyother cupcake, though slightly bigger. Its bright cherry top glistened in the light of the lamp that rested on the bedside table.
