Chapter 1: Goodbye AJ, Hello Tangerine

Chapter 1: Goodbye AJ, Hello Tangerine

"Ok Spike, but another apple on the table" Twilight said confidently as she prepared to turn another apple into an orange with the spell she had recently mastered. As Spike placed yet another apple on the table he looked away, spotting Applejack at her stall, selling apples by the barrel. From what Spike could tell somepony was holding a party and needed a lot of apples, and with Applejack being the best apple farmer in the area, she was in line to make quite a profit.

"Is the apple on the table yet Spike?" Twilight asked, her head down so she could fire the spell she had charged.

"Huh?" Spike muttered, being easily misheard as a yes to Twilight, so she fired the spell. Spike tried to shout at Twilight to stop but it was already on it's way by the time he could say anything. Twilight looked up and saw the spell flying past the table and headed straight towards...

"APPLEJACK WATCH OUT!" Twilight shouted as she jumped over the table, but it was too late. The spell hit Applejack's flank and caused her to erupt into a bright light, her hat now floating above her. When the light had died down Applejack stood there, virtually unchanged except for her mane and cutie mark...

"What am I doing among the commoners?" Applejack said in surprise as she looked at everypony, her familiar accent missing. As she looked around her hat fell back down onto her head, making her jump when she realized what it was.

"Ew! Who put that dusty old thing on my head?!" she shouted as she flung the hat into the ground and proceeded to stop on it angrily, now seeing that her hooves weren't hooficured. After letting out another shout she bolted away, leaving a crowd of confused ponies behind who were looking for answers, and the nearest pony who seemed to know what was going on, was Twilight. Meanwhile Applejack was still running away, finding her destination when she stumbled into Rarity, who was absolutely in love with her new manestyle.

"Oh dearie that new style is absolutely gorgeous!" Rarity swooned as she examined every inch of Applejack's new mane. When she finished Applejack gave her a deadpan look and asked...

"Do I know you?"

"Oh, why of course dear, we're fellow Elements of Harmony!" Rarity said with a hint of worry in her voice. Rarity was never extremely close to Applejack, but in all the time she's known her Applejack has never asked something so rude, and sounded so, refined.

"Ah, so then, why do I have trouble remembering why I would ever talk to somepony like you?" Applejack asked arrogantly, making Rarity take a stop back. Rarity wasn't stupid, she knew something was off about Applejack for sure now. Looking over the rest of her body showed something that shouldn't have been there. A different cutie mark, an orange with two orange slices next to it. Rarity thought it over for a moment, wondering if maybe she just confused Applejack for another mare, but the voice and appearance were just too similar, it had to be her.

"Applejack, dear..." Rarity started to speak, but Applejack snapped at her.

"How do you know that name?!" Applejack shouted, pushing Rarity to the ground in anger.

"It's your name dear!" Rarity said defensively, "Why are you acting like this Applejack, what has gotten into you?"

"I'm not Applejack, I haven't been for over ten years now..." Applejack said sadly, but her face suddenly became very stern, "My name is Tangerine"

"Ta- Dearie what has gotten into you, you're an Apple, not an Orange" Rarity said worriedly, her friends sudden name change confirming once and for all that something was wrong with her.

"I became an Orange when I went to live with my aunt and uncle, finding my cutie mark in the process, now if you'd please?" Applejack, or rather, Tangerine, asked as she pushed Rarity off to the side, making her way into the spa which they had both stopped in front of to talk. Rarity watched in confusion as the rough and tumble pony she once knew as Applejack checked in for a hooficure and massage.

"If you'd come this way please" Aloe said as she led Tangerine into the spa, deciding to start with the hooficure first as they led her into the main room, occupied by one other pony, Fluttershy.

"Oh, hi Applejack" Fluttershy said happily as she watched Tangerine lay down, happily offering her hoof out for the hooficure, "What brings you here today?"

"Why does everyone here know my old name? My name is Tangerine for Luna's sake!" Applejack complained, receiving confused looks from Aloe and Fluttershy. She was obviously oblivious to it as she happily smiled as Aloe went on her merry way with the hooficure. Eventually Rarity came inside, being escorted by Lotus, who noticed how uneasy her sister was as she did her job.

"Is something wrong with Applejack today, Aloe seems worried" Lotus asked, looking worriedly at her sister, who had almost slipped off the hoof and hit Tangerine.

"She's acting weird and seems to believe she's called Tangerine, as well as thinking she's a high class mare" Rarity said angrily, not being too happy with how she was treated outside by her.

"Tangerine? Isn't that a type of orange?" Lotus asked confusedly.

"Yes, her family is related to the Oranges of Manehattan" Rarity replied quickly, "She spent a little bit of time with them when she was younger, but she came home and became the farmer everypony knows"

"I wonder what happened to her..." Fluttershy said quietly as she watched Tangerine snap at Aloe for something, making the spa pony quickly offer up some kind of reimbursement for the trouble. Lotus walked over and tried to defuse the situation, which only made things worse as Tangerine proceeded to shout at the two of them and then demand that her massage be free for them annoying her. As Lotus ran to the front to pull out the bits for the massage Rarity leaned over to Fluttershy.

"I think we're going to have to talk with Twilight about this" Rarity said in a serious tone. She had an odd feeling Twilight knew what was going on, and if not, she'd probably have a way to fix it. Fluttershy nodded quietly and continued to stare at the strange mare across the room from her, who was now smiling happily as she received her free massage from Aloe. Something changed her, and the only pony they could turn to was Twilight, now they just had to hope she would know what to do...

Chapter 2: Friends and Family

Chapter 2: Friends and Family

As their spa session came to an end Rarity and Fluttershy made their way out into the waiting room where they found Twilight waiting for them.

"Oh girls, something horrible happened to Applejack!" Twilight said quickly, but she was waved off by Rarity.

"We already know dear, she's just getting a massage now" Rarity said, sounding less than pleased about the situation, "Do tell us you know what's going on?" Twilight looked at her friends nervously for a few moments, images of magic kindergarten flashing through her head as she tried to find the right words. Eventually she was ready to speak, but a loud bang from inside the spa broke her concentration.

"What are you doing, don't touch me like that!"

"Who was that?" Twilight asked as she looked towards the direction the noise came from nervously.

"That would be Applejack" Rarity said sarcastically, "Or Tangerine as she would like to be called" Rarity sighed as she thought about the old Applejack. She was reliable, honest, kind, and caring, she would never act this way, not in a thousand years. All Rarity wanted to know was how to get one of her friends back from the beast known as Tangerine. Twilight was fidgeting nervously the entire time, barely managing to keep it all a secret from her friends, but she had to tell them, or else...

"I HIT APPLEJACK WITH THE APPLES TO ORANGES SPELL!" Twilight shouted suddenly, making everypony in the room jump back in surprise. She had hers eyes shut tight when she felt somepony put a hoof on her shoulder. When she opened her eyes she saw Rarity with a worried look on her face, Fluttershy as well. Neither of them were upset about it, they were just worried of losing a friend. Seeing this calmed Twilight down just enough for her to feel comfortable telling them all about it, but just as she began to speak Tangerine came trotting into the waiting room.

"This spa is of such low quality, I will be sure to avoid this place the next time I need a hooficure" Tangerine said angrily as she pushed past Twilight, leaving five bewildered and upset ponies behind her. Tangerine had long since recognized the town as Ponyville, so as much as she hated it she felt an obligation to visit her family, even if they were farm folk. As she made her way through town everypony continued to call her Applejack, which threw her off completely. How could these many ponies know her old name, many of them she didn't even recognize. As she drew closer to Sweet Apple Acres a small filly came running down the path at Tangerine.

"SIS!" shouted Applebloom as she jumped to hug Tangerine, seeing her as Applejack. Sensing the oncoming hug Tangerine stepped out of the way and watched as Applebloom face planted into the dirt, sliding at least a foot forwards after the impact. Tangerine couldn't help but giggle as she watched the filly get up and look around in confusion, her eyes finally settling on her cutie mark.

"Oh, sorry ma'am, I thought you were my sister, Applejack" Applebloom said shyly, embarrassed at what she had just done to what she thought was a complete stranger. Then mention of a sister did throw Tangerine for a loop though. When she had left for the Oranges it was only her and her brother, Big McIntosh, and her parents were dead. All Tangerine could think about was what Applebloom had said, and ended up blindly agreeing to go see Big Mac in the process.

"Hey sis" Big Mac said as he trotted up next to Applebloom and Tangerine with two bushels of apples on his side.

"Hey Big Mac" both Tangerine and Applebloom said, making them both stop and look at each other in surprise. Big Mac gave them both a confused look before continuing on his way, being trailed by the two of them as they looked at each other, watching everything the other did.

"Nice hair AJ" Big Mac said in an attempt to lighten the mood.

"Oh, why thank you" Tangering said with a blush. In her mind she had left the Apple family and become an Orange as a filly, rather than her having come back to the farm. With her being an Orange it would be perfectly normal to steal glances at the rather fine stallion in front of her, or so she thought, but Applebloom noticed something was off.

"Is everything ok?" Applebloom asked, trying to follow Tangerine's gaze.

"Oh, why yes, of course, I just got a bit..." Tangerine trailed off as she looked back at Mac's toned body, "Distracted..."

"Are you feeling ok AJ?" Big Mac asked when he saw Tangerine's happy face, "You're actin' funny"

"Oh, I'm feeling just fine..." Tangerine said slowly as she watched Mac's hair blow in the light breeze that was passing by, images of him treating her like a true mare going through her head, making her cheeks glow almost as red as him. Without saying anything Mac slowed down and fell behind Tangerine, which went unnoticed by her as she thought about him. He suddenly lifted her up and laid her down on his back, which was a welcome surprise for her, given what she had just been thinking about.

"Come on, let's have Granny take a look at you..." Big Mac said with a grunt as he started walking forward again, the weight of his sister and the bushels making it difficult, even for him, to walk at a normal pace. Tangerine's ears perked up at the mention of Granny. She had no idea Granny was still up and around, since she never came back to the farm she had always thought Granny had passed on, leaving the entire farm to Big Mac.

"You're comfortable..." Tangerine muttered as she laid her head down on Big Mac's back, the steady rhythm of his steps putting her to sleep.

"What was that sis?" Big Mac asked, not clearly hearing what she had said to him.

"Oh nothing..." Tangerine said in a sign song voice as she drifted off to sleep, her dreams filled with images of the wonderful red stallion she was sleeping on...

Chapter 3: Apples and Oranges

Chapter 3: Apples and Oranges

Tangerine woke up in an oddly familiar bed in a familiar room. When she got up and looked around she found out she was inside the old farm house in Sweet Apple Acres. After looking around some more she recognized it as her own room from when she lived on the farm.

"What am I doing here?" Tangerine asked sleepily as she wandered towards the door. She made her way out of the room, being pleasantly surprised that the house hadn't changed in any way since she was here, save for a few pictures of the young filly and a mare that looked oddly like her. She thought for a moment that Big Mac had gotten married to a mare that looked like her because she left at such a young age, but it seemed like a very slim chance. Although she did come to the conclusion that the mare in the photo must have been the mother of that filly that had run up to her.

"Good to see that you've finally gotten out of bed" a gruff voice said from behind Tangerine, making her jump slightly. When she turned around she found Big Mac sitting in a chair, his forelegs crossed in front of him. She watched as he got up, slowly making his way towards her, his toned muscles distracting her completely.

"You're glad to see me are you?" Tangerine said seductively as Mac stopped in front of her, his gaze going right through her.

"Actually no, I'm not" Big Mac said with a hint of agitation in his voice, "You slept in until ten in the morning"

"I only slept in because I was dreaming of you..." Tangerine said as she walked passed Mac towards the kitchen, shaking her flank as she did, trying to catch his attention. He did lose focus for a moment, but quickly snapped back to attention.

"AJ, you can't be sleeping in, we have to harvest the orchards!" Big Mac said angrily, her actions now annoying him. She was acting completely carefree, but if they didn't harvest the apples now they wouldn't keep the farm for very much longer. Tangerine wasn't paying any attention to what he was saying, and instead decided to lean over seductively to give him a nice view of her flank, also giving him an amazing view of her cutie mark.

"AJ, why do you have an orange on your flank?" Big Mac asked, letting Tangerine know that something really was off. Why wouldn't he have known that she had left long ago and became an Orange family member? It was odd and confusing for her, and ended up throwing off her seductive act, but she quickly got back to it

"Oh, it's nothing, would you like to get a closer look?" Tangerine said quietly as she slowly trotted over to him, her flanks swaying in a way that allowed him to see her cutie mark on either side. He lost focus for a moment, but the sound of Applebloom and her friends running up onto the porch.

"I gotta go now AJ, don't make any more trouble" Big Mac said flatly as he walked towards the door, opening it for the fillies to run inside before heading out himself, giving Tangerine one last look before shutting the door.

---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Twilight was trotting around the library when the door opened, Spike, followed by Rainbow Dash, Rarity, Pinkie Pie, and Fluttershy behind him. She had told Rarity and Fluttershy to go collect the other girls, but Spike had caught sight of Rarity and decided to help, eventually ending up doing all the work for them. Rarity quickly walked up to Twilight with a crazed look in her eyes.

"Please tell me you know how to fix this!" Rarity whined, hanging her forelegs around Twilight's neck.

"I don't know how to fix it, but I do know what really happened" Twilight said, flipping her chalkboard around to reveal an intricate diagram.

"What is that supposed to show us?" Rainbow asked, not being able to make heads or tails of what Twilight had drawn.

"It's showing what had happened to Applejack, or Tangerine as she wants to be called now" Twilight said in a teacher's voice before producing a pointing stick out of nowhere so she could explain her work, "Here you can see me. Now this is where it went wrong, Spike had forgotten to place the apple down, so when I fired the spell, it hit Applejack instead. Because we do know that when she was younger she went to live with her relatives, the Oranges, it can be assumed that had Rainbow not performed the Sonic Rainboom, she wouldn't have come back to Ponyville. This would have meant that she would have become as we see her now, with a high class attitude, coupled with an orange for a cutie mark. The spell literally turned Applejack from an Apple, to an Orange!"

"Ok, I can see why you're excited about this, but is there anyway to turn her back from..." Rainbow said, trailing off as she tried to remember the new name.

"Tangerine" Fluttershy said quietly.

"Thank you" Rainbow said before continuing, "Turn her back from Tangerine, to Applejack?"

"I don't know, but for now we're going to have to live with her" Twilight said sadly, the thought of losing her friend affecting her more than she thought it would, "I'll send a letter off to Celestia tonight, but I'm not sure if even she'll know what to do..." The atmosphere in the library was heavy and depressing, so much so that even Pinkie couldn't find anything to be cheerful about. They had all done so much with Applejack, losing her would be devastating, and now all they could do was hope Celestia would know how to fix it...

"I'm going home..." Rainbow said quietly as she trotted towards the door. Each pony said the same after her, and soon it was just Twilight and Spike in the library with only one thing to do.

"Spike, take a letter" Twilight announced sadly as she looked once more at her diagram, finding it hard to hold back tears as she told Spike what to say to Celestia.

Chapter 4: Orange Temptation

Chapter 4: Orange Temptation

Celestia let out a loud sigh as the doors to the throne room closed for the last time for the day. Today was a long day for her with the large number of ponies coming to talk about the quality of items they had begun to find in local shops that were supposedly from the Crystal Empire. Only one out of fifteen shops was actually selling counterfeits, the rest were just damaged in the travel by train, or had a small scuff mark from the maker. As she resigned to her chambers a scroll appeared in front of her, from Twilight Sparkle no less.

"Ah, a friendship report, I wonder what she has learned..." Celestia said happily, an opportunity to read about Twilight and her friend's adventures being a welcome sight. As she opened the scroll she realized that this was definitely not a friendship report, and was not written for the purpose of telling Celestia about their amazing adventures. Her eyes quickly darted down the letter, it's contents making her extremely worried.

"Good evening sister" Luna said as she landed on the balcony outside Celestia's room, stopping when she noticed her worried look, "Is everything alright?"

"There's an issue with Twilight and her friends..." Celestia said somberly, "Apparently one of Twilight's spells changed Applejack completely"

"How so?" Luna asked as she moved up next to Celestia to comfort her.

"You know of the apples to oranges spell, correct?" Celestia asked, waiting for Luna to nod before continuing, "Twilight misfired the spell and hit her friend Applejack, and it changed her, but they don't know why"

"How are we going to rectify this?" Luna asked. She looked around and saw an apple on Celestia's nightstand. Using the spell on it to turn it into an orange. Once it turned she attempted to turn it back, to no avail as she instead caused it to explode and spread orange pulp around the room. Celestia gave Luna an annoyed look and instead decided to write a reply to Twilight's letter, her face grim as she remembered everything she knew about the apple to orange spell.

---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Tangerine slowly trotted through the house by herself, the sounds of the fillies playing on the second floor ringing throughout the house. She was bored now that Big Mac had left, leaving her with the fillies. How could any self respecting stallion turn her down and then leave her to foalsit for him? The only reason she hadn't left to go find him was because the fillies were interrogating her on her appearance, believing her to be the "Applejack" mare like everypony else.

"Girls, I'm going to head out for a while" Tangerine shouted upstairs to the playing fillies.

"Okay!" two of them shouted back, sounding like Sweetie Belle and Scootaloo, but the third filly stayed quiet, giving Tangerine an odd feeling. If she wasn't okay with her leaving then she might follow, given her connection to Big Mac, whatever it was. Of course, Tangerine didn't really care either way. She had her sights set on Big McIntosh, and when she has her sights set on a stallion, she got the stallion. Once she was outside Tangerine looked around for any signs of the red stallion, her sight filled with apple trees ready for bucking.

"Now where would he be..." Tangerine thought out loud as she looked between the trees, catching a glimpse of Big Mac's short orange tail flip in the orchard to the west of the house. She immediately ran off towards where she had seen it, not noticing the rainbow maned pegasus flying just above the treeline, nor the small filly that had slipped out of the house behind her.

"...I just wanna know where my sister went" Tangerine heard Big Mac say loudly, as if he was talking to someone far away. When Tangerine made her way around the tree she heard some leaves rustle just a little bit away.

"Hey Big Mac..." Tangerine said slowly as she gave him sultry eyes, making his ears perk up.

"What are you doing out here?" he asked, honestly surprised that she had gone all the way out into the orchard just to go see him.

"Oh nothing, just came to see my favorite stallion" Tangerine said as she wrapped her tail around Big Mac's yoke, pulling him closer to her. His face flushed a deeper shade of red as the sweet smell of tangerines filled his nostrils. The leaves rustled again, but Tangerine ignored it completely and continued to work her magic on Big Mac. Now that all he could see and smell was her she knew she had him.

"Hey Mac" Tangerine said seductively, getting Mac's attention.

"Hmmm?" Mac hummed quietly, his eyes half open as his senses continued to be flooded by Tangerine.

"Kiss me" Tangerine ordered. There was a moment of hesitation before Big Mac leaned forwards, his lips touching Tangerine's softly at first. Once they were completely lip locked Tangerine moved her tongue forwards, finding resistance at Mac's teeth, but he quickly opened up, his tongue coming out to dance around hers. They continued to kiss for a few minutes, an occasional moan slipping out between them, before they broke apart, looking at each other lustfully. That kiss was the best one either had ever had, and they were about to go back at it when two ponies jumped out of the bushes.

"YOU JERK!" Rainbow shouted as she ran at Mac, slapping him before flying away with tears flowing out of her eyes.

"BIG MAC?!" Applebloom shouted as her eyes jumped back and forth between Tangerine and Big Mac, attempting to stare each of them down before running away out of anger. Big Mac ran after her leaving Tangerine alone in the orchard with the strangest feeling of guilt. She felt as if she had just done something horrible that she'd never, ever, live down, and three other ponies knew about it...

Chapter 5: Crushed Rainbow

Chapter 5: Crushed Rainbow

Rainbow Dash flew through the skies with tears flowing down her face, from both sadness and rage. How could Big Mac just go along with her and kiss?! He'd been telling her for days that  he was interested in her, and then to kiss his own sister?! Rainbow didn't even know what to call what she was feeling right now, she was just so angry, but sad at the same time. It's all his fault, why did he have to confess to me?! Rainbow asked inside her head as she flew, her mind slipping back to just a few days before Tangerine appeared...

"Are you sleepin' in our trees again Rainbow?" Big Mac asked as he picked up a pillow that had fallen out of a tree when he bucked it.

"Yeah, but I thought you didn't mind" Rainbow said innocently, almost mocking him as she flew down to pick up the pillow.

"I don't mind because l..." Big Mac began to talk, but his red face turned a darker shade of red, which made Rainbow laugh. She had known the gentle stallion for a long time, and he only blushed like that we something really embarrassing was about to, or had, happened.

"What is it Mac, why don't you mind?" Rainbow mocked him, making him blush even more.

"Rainbow, I, well..." Mac trailed off again, this time gulping so he could muster the courage to say it, "I love you"

"Oh well of course I me-" Rainbow said, starting her 'I'm so awesome' routine before noticing Mac's nervous expression, "You're serious, aren't you?"

"E-Eeyup" Mac stuttered, making Rainbow burst out into a giggle fit. When she calmed down she started apologizing to Mac, having noticed that he had continued on bucking trees, an angry look on his face.

"I'm sorry for laughing like that, it's just that seeing the toughest stallion in town act like a school colt is pretty hilarious" Rainbow said, having to fight back a giggle as she imagine a tiny Mac confessing to her. Mac didn't respond with words, but rather gave Rainbow a look of regret, tugging at her heart. He had come out and admitted something personal to him and she laughed in his face...

"Mac wait!" Rainbow said quickly, flying in front of him. He tried to get away but she stayed in his face as much as she could until he stopped to just stare at her with his sad hurt eyes.

"What is it Rainbow?" Mac asked, his sadness coming through his voice through it's bitterness.

"I didn't mean to laugh at you like that, it was just something stupid, but all the same..." Rainbow trailed off, her own face turning a light shade of red as she moved closer to Mac, finally planting a quick kiss on his lips when she was close enough.

"Rainbow...?" Mac asked slowly, he mind reeling from the kiss.

"I'm kinda interested in you too" Rainbow said with a wink before giving him another quick kiss and then taking off to the skies to leave the stallion alone with his thoughts. Although, his thoughts were mostly of her, as he told her the next time they met up.

"Argh, I was so stupid!" Rainbow shouted as she flew directly over the Carousel Boutique, a crazy idea coming to mind. Rarity was the queen of overreacting, but she could also give some amazing advice, so it couldn't hurt that bad to go and see her, right?

"No, no, no, that just doesn't seem right" Rarity said to herself as she looked at a suit she had been hired to make, the requested colors not blending together in her eyes.

"Rarity?" Rainbow called out from the main floor, quickly gaining Rarity's attention.

"I'm up here dear!" Rarity shouted downstairs, and Rainbow was soon standing next to her.

"Rarity, I need your help" Rainbow said quickly, silently begging behind her eyes.

"Not right now dear, I'm quite busy as you can see" Rarity said in a professional way, making Rainbow turn to look at the suit. It was toned brown, one of Rarity's most hated colors, but she was quickly mix and matching it with accessories to make it work, at one point replacing the suit jacket entirely. Rainbow snapped out of it when she saw the cutie mark embroidered into the suit, a chocolate apple with wings.

"No, Rarity, I need your help..." Rainbow said as she jumped in front of Rarity, "...now"

"Oh, fine Rainbow, what is it?" Rarity asked in an annoyed tone, her mind still mostly focused on the suit.

"You know about Tangerine right?" Rainbow asked, continuing after Rarity nodded, "Well, she apparently has a thing for Big Mac, because she kissed him out on the farm"

"Oh really, and why does this bother you?" Rarity asked, now interested in what was bothering Rainbow.

"Well, because it's gross, of course, I mean, this pony, Tangerine or whatever, being interested in her own brother?" Rainbow paused, trying to hide her real reason for coming to talk to Rarity, "EWW!"

"Doesn't she believe to be one of Manehattan's elite?" Rarity asked, raising an eyebrow to Rainbow.

"Yeah, but what does that have to do with anything?" Rainbow asked flatly, not sure what that had to do with anything.

"Well actually, Rainbow Dash, it's not unusual for wealthy families to marry within the family due to attraction or money, as well as to keep the bloodline pure. She might see Big McIntosh as a prospective husband. It's certainly possible if she thinks she was adopted and raised by the Oranges. Then again she was awfully rude and blunt so she's still the same Applejack we always knew, albeit, a bit more spoiled and, ugh, Blueblood like..." Rarity paused for a moment, thinking about the the old Applejack "It's because she just doesn't remember us...." The two mares stood in silence for a moment as they both thought about what had happened, and of how strange things have been since Tangerine appeared, the silence being broken by a knock at the door.

"Rarity, are you in there?" a stallion's voice called out, snapping Rarity to attention, making her desperately look at the suit she had been working on.

"I'm just up here!" Rarity shouted back, her movements becoming frantic as she attempted to make the suit look presentable in her eyes. Just as she put it together the stallion, a chocolate toned Pegasus, came through the door into the work room.

"Wow Rarity, that looks..." he started to say, his eyes going over every inch of the suit, "Amazing!"

"Oh, why thank you" Rarity said as the stallion moved over to the suit stand and began to put it on, "What are you doing?"

"Oh, something came up and I have to attend" the stallion said as he fought with the shirt, "It's a black tie event as well"

"What's it for?" Rarity asked, having not known about any black tie even happening in Ponyville anytime soon.

"Oh, apparently Big McIntosh and some new pony to town got engaged thanks to Granny Smith" the stallion paused to look in the mirror, giving himself a stupid smile, "Since I work on the farm I have to attend it, but thankfully my marefriend is coming with me, so..." The stallion shrugged before bowing to Rarity and then leaving the room, leaving a destroyed Rainbow Dash and a confused Rarity behind him as he did.
