Eight years have passed since the end of the now known Gryphon War. The land of Equestria has settled back into its routine of relative peace and prosperity but under it all a darkness as old as time itself grows in powers. It has waited patiently, biding it's time to act and that time is now. This will be the greatest foe the beautiful land of Equestria has faced yet, so great in fact that the Elements of Harmony will not be enough to stop it. Not even the newly crowned King and Queen have the strength to stand alone against it.

As the ensuring shadow slowly envelope the land in darkness, old hatreds will be put aside for the greater good of all life. Hated enemies will become loyal allies and a power long thought to be myth will awaken. Can Equestria face this great darkness and come away unscared? Only the fates can tell.
