It was just another calm and peaceful night in Equestria, everypony was sound asleep...well, everyone except one at least.

one pony was restless and unable to fall asleep. Twilight Sparkle was having a bad dream, moaning, twisting and turning all

around her bed until finally she woke up screaming.

Twilight: AAHHH! Phew, it was just a bad dream, again.

Twilight was about to lay down and try to fall back to sleep, but then she heard someone calling her from outside.

Twilight was surprised

Twilight: Huh? who could be still awake at this time of night and want to talk with me?

Filled with curiosity, Twilight slowly walked up the window and rubbed her eyes. Then she took a look outside and got

surprised about what she saw. Fluttershy was flying right in front of her window and waving to her. Twilight didn't hesitate to open the window and ask.

Twilight: Fluttershy? what are you doing here at this time of night?

Fluttershy: Me? Oh i was just trying to find one of my escaped chickens, they really don't know how to stay put, they never

let a chance to wonder off somewhere just pass by.

Twilight: why don't you just make some kind of fence to keep them from leaving their home?

Fluttershy: Oh i couldn't do that. I don't want to keep them imprisoned against their own will. That wouldn't be too nice, animals need their space you know, otherwise they get restless.

Twilight giggled and replied: Oh Fluttershy your always so gentle with all your animals, your probably right though, and who am i to question your methods, i don't know anything about animals. You remember what happened when i tried to help you  wake up the animals back when winter was still here don't you? I'm never looking in to a den of animals again before i find out what's in there. anyways, did you have something to say to me?

Fluttershy: oh i only wanted to see if your alright, i heard you screaming while passing by and just had to make sure you weren't in trouble. So, em, is everything alright? Why were you screaming?

Twilight got a little nervous and replied: Oh, that. he he, it was just a bad dream, yea nothing more then just a bad dream, not even a bad dream actually, just a dream with an...unexpected ending.

Fluttershy: are you sure your alright? you know this isn't the fir...

Suddenly Fluttershy got interrupted by a shout coming from behind her and freaked out a bit.

Applejack: Fluttershy! *Applejack dragged her hoof across her mouth as if trying to tell Fluttershy to keep quiet.*

Twilight didn't see that gesture and asked: Applejack? What are you doing here? Helping Fluttershy chase her chickens?

Applejack replied nervously: Oh, em.. i was just taking a midnight walk, yea, i always like to stretch my legs a bit, gotta be at my best ya know, and as i was walking i heard you two talking here. What could the two of you possibly be talking about at this time of night? there are better times for chit chat ya know. Is this something important? Some kind of secret you don't want others to know about? what are the two of you up to?

Fluttershy: Twilight had a bad dream and woke up screaming and i came by to ask if she's alright.

Applejack: well... is she?

Fluttershy tried to say something but got interrupted by Twilight.

Twilight: Of course i am! what's with you guys? Everyone has bad dreams every now and then, it's perfectly normal, and it wasn't really a bad dream just a dream with an unexpected ending!

Applejack: Are you sure you're alright? Maybe there's something you would like to share with us?

Twilight was surprised and got a bit nervous of this question.

Twilight: What? No! Why would i? it's just a dream, no big deal! what else do you want me to say? That I'm seeing visions of what might happen in the nearest future? Don't be silly, how could you say that?

Applejack: em, i didn't. You just said that yourself.

Twilight: Oh..right.*Twilight yawns* Listen, I'm tired, so I'm just gonna go back to bed before i fall asleep on the floor. Goodnight girls.

Twilight shuts the window and walked back to her bed and falls sleep in just a few minutes.

Applejack waits for a moment and then turns to Fluttershy

Applejack: What do you think you're doing? we agreed not to tell her.

Fluttershy: But i...oh i just don't like to see her like this. We need to do something.

Applejack: I know this is getting out of hand but we can't do anything until she confesses herself so until then we need to keep quiet about this.

Fluttershy: I'm sorry, i didn't mean to ruin our plan, i just...

Applejack: I know, i know, you're always trying to do what's best, but i need you to trust me on this one.

Fluttershy: Ok Applejack, you have my word, i won't tell anything.

Applejack: do you swear?

Fluttershy: I swear.

Applejack: Pinkie pie swear.

Fluttershy: Cross my heart and hope to fly, stick a cupcake in my eye.

both ponies giggled and parted ways.

On the next day Twilight was at home reading some book with a dark cover. She seemed very intrigued in it's contents. She got so carried away by the book that she didn't even hear Spike talking to her.

Spike: Hey Twilight, where do you want me to put this one? Twilight?

Spike turned to Twilight and got grumpy seeing her with the book.

spike: Oh, not that thing again! What is it with you and that book?

After receiving no reply Spike took a paper bag and quietly walked up to twilight and blew it up. *BOOM* Twilight freaked out from the noise and let out a scream and jumped up and grabbed the lamp.

Twilight: AAAHH!

Spike: Now that I've got your attention, where do i put this book?

Twilight: Spike! Are you mad? you nearly gave me a heart attack! What's wrong with you?

Spike: Me? What's wrong with you? All you've done for the past six days is sit home reading that crazy book of yours, you should really go out and get some fresh air, before you turn into a statue.

Twilight: Statue? what do you mean?

Spike: You don't differ much from a statue to me when you're reading that book. Always in the same position, not moving at all. What's so good about that book?

Twilight: That's none of your business! *Twilight took the book and hid it from Spike*

Twilight: Your lucky i ran out of a special ingredient and need to go get more.

Twilight left the house to go to the store for something. As she was walking she heard someone calling her. It was Fluttershy and Applejack. They were running this direction and shouting out her name.

Applejack and Fluttershy: Twilight! wait up!

Twilight to herself: Great, just what i need.

Twilight: hi girls.

Applejack: Hey Twilight. What's with you? You don't look so good.

Twilight: What do you mean? I'm fine

Applejack: What i mean is Your mane is all ruined and you look like you haven't slept in days. Is everything alright?

Twilight: Of course everything is alright! Why wouldn't it be? sheesh. Spike and now you too.

Fluttershy: You can't go on like this Twilight.

Twilight: What do you mean?

Applejack gave an angry look to Fluttershy and gave her a gentle push.

Applejack: He he, nothing, she means nothing. She's just worried about you being home for so long.

Twilight: Honestly! What's with everyone? I'm fine. I just didn't sleep too well last night that's all.

And with that Twilight simply walked off without even saying goodbye. Applejack and Fluttershy stayed behind and watched Twilight walk off.

Applejack: Have you noticed that Twilight hasn't really been herself lately? ever since those nightmares of hers started she's been all...grumpy and impatient.

Fluttershy: That's awful. what do you think could be causing all this to happen?

Applejack: I don't know but i got a good feeling that her unusual behavior has something to do with those nightmares she's been having lately.

After a while of chating the two ponies noticed Spike running up to them.

Spike: Applejack! Fluttershy!

Applejack and Fluttershy: Spike?

Spike was exhausted from running and took a moment to catch his breath

Spike: Hey girls. Did you see Twilight?

Fluttershy: Yes we did. She just walked off without even saying goodbye.

Applejack: Spike. Do you know anything about Twilight acting so weird lately?

Spike: I got no idea. Ever since she started reading that weird book of hers she's been...

Applejack: Book? what book?

Spike: Come on. I'll show you

Spike and the two ponies walked to Twilights house and Spike took the book from the place where Twilight hid it and brought it up to Applejack and Fluttershy.

Spike: She's been trying to hide it from me for a long time, always in the same place but i found it long ago while cleaning her room. Here, take a look at this thing.

Spike gave the book to Applejack.

Applejack: Realm of nightmare? What kind of a book is this? I wonder where she got this from.

spike: i don't know but it's been nothing but trouble ever since she brought it home.

Applejack tried to open the book but to no avail.

Applejack: what's with this thing? I don't see any lock on it but i still can't open it.

Spike: Oh right, sorry. I forgot to mention. Twilight always puts some kind of weird magical enchantment on the book before putting it away so i couldn't open it.

Applejack: I don't like the looks of this. Why would Twilight hide something from you so very well? it's not like you read books anyways, right Spike?

Spike: Of course not! i just clean and sort them.

At this point Twilight returned home and was shocked of seeing everyone in her room.

Twilight: What are you all doing here? Why are you even here?

Twilight saw Applejack holding her precious book and was furious

Twilight: Spike! What do you think you're doing? Why do you think i hid that book? For everyone to see it and put their filthy hoofs on it?

Applejack: Filthy? What's with you Twilight? You've never been like this before. What is this book and where did you get it from? I bet it has something to do with your nightmares as well.

twilight: Nightmares? What nightmares?

Applejack: No use trying to hide it now Twilight. We knew about your nightmares all along. When Fluttershy flew up to your window that night that wasn't the first time we've  heard you wake up screaming, and not just us. We also heard Rarity saying she heard you screaming while hanging out her laundry a few days ago and Pinkie pie also said she heard your screams at night. Why do you think we were so worried about you? I know everyone has a bad dream every now and then but not every single night for more then a week in a row.

Spike: Not to mention you also woke me up for about four times with your shouting at night.

Fluttershy: Why didn't you just tell us about this Twilight? were your friends, all that we ever wanted is to help, but we can't help you if you don't trust us.

Twilight: Honestly guys i think you're all crazy and i don't know what are you talking about. So if you would be just so kind as to leave my house so i can get some rest That would be very nice.

Twilight keeps pushing Applejack and Fluttershy towards the door while talking.

Applejack: Something ain't right here Twilight, and I'm gonna get to the bottom of this if it's the last thing i do.

Twilight: Yea, yea that's very nice applejack. Have a nice day!

Twilight pushes both ponies outside the door and immediately shuts the door behind them.

Twilight: Have a nice day girls!

Applejack: Do you hear me Twilight? I'm done here yet.

Twilight: Phew,i'm glad that's over with.

Spike: Barely.

Twilight: I'm still angry with you Spike. How could you just bring guests in my house without asking and start showing them my private things like that?

Spike: I...

Twilight: Apology accepted. Now please clean up this mess you guys left behind and put my book back where it belongs. I'm not even going to ask how you found it. Now then. I should probably get back to my studies.

twilight left the room.

Spike: What studies?

  ***

That night Twilight was having nightmares again but this time it was different. Twilight was walking through a dark cloud and hearing some dark spirits whispering and making creepy noises. they made Twilight scared.

Twilight: What is this place?

Suddenly Twilight saw Applejack in the mist and started running up to her.

Twilight: Applejack! boy am i glad to see someone i know in these parts i was beginning to think i was all alone in here.

As Twilight kept on running towards Applejack she got so carried away with talking she didn't even notice Applejack disappear.

Twilight: Applejack? *Starts looking around* Where are you?

at this point Twilight woke up and was confused of her dream.

twilight: well that was weird. I wonder if that dream meant anything.

Later that day Twilight decided to visit Applejack just to see if she was alright.

Twilight to herself: Ok Twilight, it's time to prove that these dreams are just a bad coincidence and don't mean anything. i'm sure Applejack is just, fin...

suddenly out of nowhere Fluttershy appeared and ran right into Twilight.

Twilight: Fluttershy? where are you in such a hurry to?

Fluttershy: I'm looking for Applejack. Have you seen her?

Twilight: Applejack? Isn't she at home?

Fluttershy: No. no one has seen her all day. That's what Applebloom told me. Me and Rainbowdash have been looking for her all day. Oh i hope she's alright. I wonder what could have happened to her. Bye Twilight.

confused with the weird meeting Twilight returned home and started worrying.

twilight to herself: Ok Twilight. So you had a weird dream about Applejack disappearing right before she actually disappeared. No big deal, i mean coincidences happen right? I'm sure she's alright. I just need to get some rest before i go crazy.

At that night Twilight had another nightmare very similar to the one she had last night only this time she saw Rarity in the mist and started running up to her.

Twilight: Rarity! You need to get out of here! It's not safe here!

Rarity: Not safe? What ever do you mean Twilight. I've been here for most of my life and nothing has gone wrong.

Twilight: Here? Where here? i mean look around you. Does this look like the place where you make your dresses?

Twilight looked around as she was talking to Rarity and when she turned back to her she discovered that Rarity was nowhere to be seen and woke up

Twilight: Rarity!

Twilight just had to check on Rarity to see if she was alright

Twilight: All this nightmare stuff is really starting to get to my head. Maybe i do need to stop reading that book of mine.

Soon Twilight arrived at Raritys house and knocked on the door. There was no answer but the door opened by itself and twilight walked in in search of Rarity.

Twilight: Rarity? Are you in here? Rarity? Hello! Anyone here? gulp!

After a few minutes of searching Raritys house and finding nothing but her cat sleeping Twilight returned home.

Twilight to herself: This can't be happening. Rarity probably left to visit Canterlot to buy some new materials for her dresses. Yea! and I'm sure she'll be back soon enough, and no ones even searching for her that probably means she told everyone she was leaving. I'm sure everything will be fine.

Spike: who are you talking to?

Twilight: Hush Spike! I have no time for chit chat right now.

Twilight walks out of the room.

Spike: Huh. Seems to me like you've got too much of it.

At that night Twilight had the same dream again.

Twilight: Oh no, not this again. This can't be good. Spike! If you're hearing this please wake me up.

Twilight kept walking through the mist and after a while she saw Fluttershy.

Twilight: No! Fluttershy!

Twilight started running towards Fluttershy as fast as she could.

Twilight to herself: I'm not letting you out of my sight this time!

Twilight: Fluttershy!

Fluttershy: Twilight?

Twilight:  You have to follow me you're in danger!

Fluttershy: In danger? wh..why? From what?

Twilight: No time to explain. You have to...

Suddenly Twilight saw a giant hand of a spirit appearing behind Fluttershy.

Twilight: Look out!

The hand grabbed Fluttershy and pulled her off deep into the mist.

Fluttershy: EEK!

Twilight: Fluttershy!

Twilight tried to follow her but she couldn't enter the mist.

right before waking up Twilight heard Fluttershy scream out her name from the mist and then she woke up.

Twilight: Fluttershy!

Twilight threw her blanket off and rushed down the stairs and ran through the door without even bothering to close it, nothing was more important for her now then getting to Fluttershys house as fast as possible. She finally realised how stubborn she was and knew what was really going on -her dreams started becoming real. In just a few minutes she reached Fluttershys house and used her magic to open the door. When she entered the house she saw Fluttershy by the window safe and sound. Words couldn't explain how relieved she was at that moment.

Twilight: Fluttershy. Than god you're alright.

Fluttershy: What do you mean? Why wouldn't i be?

Twilight: it's hard to explain.

Fluttershy: well, you could at least try

Twilight: well, do you remember the dreams I've been having? well they aren't really...

At that moment Twilights eyes got filled with fear, as she saw the same picture she saw in her dream. A dark spirits hand coming from the window right behind Fluttershy. Twilight remembered her dream and knew that yelling *look out* wouldn't solve much. So she didn't hesitate to run and jump on Fluttershy pushing her out of the way. She didn't make it in time but neither was she too late. She managed to jump on Fluttershy but didn't push her aside. the hand grabbed them both and took them into the realm of nightmare.

As they flew through the fog at great speed Twilight got stuck on the way on couldn't do anything but see Fluttershy get pulled deeper in the mist.

Twilight: Fluttershy!

Fluttershy: Twilight!

One of the spirits appeared before Twilight and shouted at her, the shout scared her so badly, she left the realm of nightmare.

As Twilight got back from the realm she fell on the floor and started crying.

Twilight: Why? Why did i have to be so stubborn? Why didn't i listen to them? Why didn't i heed Zecoras warning? Why, why why? Now They're gone and it's all my fault. I wish i had never taken that stupid book from Zecora.

It seemed desperate but Twilight knew what had to be done. She had to go back home after the book and take it back to Zecore and ask for a solution. And so she did. Spike didn't even notice Twilight coming back home for the book, and she didn't want to involve him into this either. As Twilight left her home to get to Zecoras hut, she met Rainbowdash and Pinkie on the way.

Rainbowdash: Hey Twilight!

Pinkie: Hi Twilight! Where are you in such a hurry to? Ooh what a big creepy book. what's it for?

Twilight: Hi girls. Oh this? Well it's...it's a long story.

Rainbowdash: Well were not in hurry. Does it have something to do with the disappearing of Applejack and Rarity?

Twilight hanged her head down and quietly said: Fluttershy too, and yes it does have something to do with it. It's all my fault.

Rainbowdash: What? What did you do? Spit it out!

Twilight hanged her head, sat down and told them the entire story in every detail. Also mentioning why she took the book from Zecora in the first place. It was because all her life she's been learning only spells of light and she wanted to know the other part- the shadow spells and since asking Luna for help didn't seem reasonable she asked Zecora for help. And help she did. It took a lot of convincing to force Zecora to part with the book but Twilight got what she wanted in the end and didn't even pay any attention to Zecoras warnings of what could happen if the book is used unwisely.

Twilight: And now i have to get to Zecora to make things right before it's all too late. I'm sorry girls...I'm so sorry.

Twilight started running towards Zecoras hut ashamed of her misdeeds but Rainbowdash flew past her and stood in the way.

Rainbowdash: And where do you think you're going without us?

Twilight: I can't take you with me. I've already done bad enough by bringing this upon Fluttershy Applejack and Rarity, i can't let you suffer because of my misdeeds also...

Rainbowdash: well tough luck, coz i'm not going anywhere before i make sure you set everything right. I'm coming with you whether you like it or not.

Pinkie: Me too, we were searching for the girls anyways and it doesn't seem like we'll find them without your help.

Twilight: But i...

Rainbowdash: Zip it! I don't want to hear it. Let's just go before it's too late.

Twilight: Alright...Thanks girls.

Pinkie: That's what friends are for.

So the girls ventured into Everfree forest and eventually got to Zecoras hut. Twilight banged the door.

twilight: Zecora! You need to help us. You were right, I wasn't ready to learn the shadow spells, i should have listened to you. I'm sorry. Can you help us? My friends are stuck in the realm of nightmare and i don't know how to get them out.

Zecora:

I was expecting you Twilight

A child of light can' learn spells of light.

You were stubborn, you didn't listen nor obey

but your friends can be saved, there is a way.

Twilight: How?

Zecora walked up to one of her shelves and got some magic dust from it and poured a sip of it on three different tables

Zecora:

Lay on my table of magic dust,

for enter the realm at day you must.

What you could not do at night you'll do at day,

Is your will strong, are you ready, what do you say?

Twilight: Of course, i brought this upon my friends and I'm going to get them out of this if it's the last thing i do. But I'm not sure i wanna take Rai..

Rainbowdash: Zip it! I already told you I'm coming with you and there's nothing you can do about it. You in Pinkie?

Pinkie: Of course! They're my friends too ya know. Besides. I can't let a once in a lifetime opportunity to dream at day just pass by like that.

Twilight: Thank you girls, I'm glad I'm not in this alone.

Twilight, Pinkie and Rainbowdash laidd down on the three tables and awaited Zecoras instructions.

Zecora:

When inside the realm you will find a spirit,

when you find it do not hear it.

for it will speak only lies and things not true,

until you all are left without a clue.

you must have a strong will to get your friends back,

you can't hope to win if this you lack.

And don't forget to use your magic of light,

only this way you can escape the night.

Now close your eyes and be at rest,

for this journey you will need your best.

Soon you won't see or hear,

you still awake? go on get out of here!

So the three ponies entered the realm and started searching for the spirit peeking around every corner along the way.

Rainbowdash: Creepy place. woah! What was that?

Twilight: What's wrong dash? afraid of a little spirit?

Rainbowdash: What? of course not. It just surprised me. I hope you know what you're doing Twilight.

Pinkie: Sure she does. She's been in here many times. Right Twilight?

Twilight: Gulp, i hope so too.

After a while of walking the great spirit finally appeared before them.

twilight: You! Release my friends now!

Nightmare spirit: Me? Why do you think i am responsible for kidnapping someone? You invade my realm and accuse me of crimes i have not committed? How dare you!

twilight: Don't try to talk your way out of this. I know you speak only lies and i won't listen. Now release my friends before i get angry!

Rainbowdash: Yea! what she said.

Nightmare spirit: What nonsense is this? i know nothing of the disappearance of these what did you say their names were? some kind of Rarity and applejack. Hah! what kind of names are those!

Twilight: I didn't mention their names.

Nightmare spirit: Very clever young pony. You've beaten me at my own game. Even so, what are you going to do now? THIS IS MY WORLD! You can't harm me here!

Twilight: We'll see about that.

Twilight started to use her horn to cast a spell, a small flash of light broke through the mist but soon faded. Twilight tried again and again but to no avail.

Twilight: Huh? Why aren't my light spells working? They should have swept this place clean and revealed the mist.

Nightmare spirit: What part of "This is my world" didn't you understand, Hah! You're pathetic.

The spirit waved his hands and up and down and the mist fell upon Rainbowdash and Pinkie pie consuming them promptly.

Rainbowdash and Pinkie: Twilight!

Twilight: Rainbowdash! Pinkie pie! No! You monster! Why would you do this?

Nightmare spirit: Why wouldn't i? You're a trespasser in my realm and i have every right to lock you up here, it makes me stronger. I think I'll let you go, since you've been so good as to bring me so many guests to consume. Who knows, you might even bring me more. Ha ha ha ha! Can you hear them child? Your friends calling from the mist, you've betrayed them all, they all hoped you could save them but you've crushed their hopes. Can you hear them? Ha ha ha ha!

Twilight laid down and covered her face with her hoofs as she heard the voices of all her friends calling out to her for help...

Twilight to self: I'm sorry girls, I've betrayed you all. I'm sorry Celestia, I'm as good of a student as you thought of me.

Suddenly Twilight entered a vision of pure white light and saw Celestia flying down to her.

Princess Celestia: Twilight Sparkle!

Twilight: Princes Celestia! What are you doing here?

Celestia: I should be asking you the same thing. This is the realm of light. This is a refuge for all of the delightful thoughts in your mind.

Suddenly all of Twilights best friends appeared around her.

Twilight: Girls!

Twilight laid down and covered her face with her hoofs and laid her tail on her back, she was so ashamed of herself she didn't want anyone to see her.

Rarity, Applejack, Pinkie, Rainbowdash and Fluttershy (Mane 5) : Why are you hiding Twilight?

Twilight: I'm sorry girls, I'm sorry princess. I've betrayed you all, all your hopes in me were in vain. I'm a bad friend and a failed student.

Celestia: A failed student? Why do you think so?

Twilight: Because i couldn't save my friends from the mist with my light magic.

Celestia: There are only a few in this world who could, and you're one of them Twilight, remember what Zecora said "you need a strong will"

Twilight: but i tried and i failed. I'm a poor student.

Celestia: A poor student? Do you know how many of my students were ever able to enter the realm of nightmare? Only one, and he never returned.He was my prized student before you. He let the darkness consume him. You're the only one of my students who has stood up against the will of the shadows and didn't let the nightmares consume you.

Twilight: What happened to the student who entered the mist?

Celestia: He's still there. He is the great spirit in charge of the realm. If there's anyone who could battle him then it's you Twilight. No doubt he draws power from his realm, but you draw power from the light- from me, from your friends.

Applejack: Were always here for you Twilight.

Rarity: No matter what.

pinkie: Were here to make you smile.

Fluttershy: And to cheer for you *yay*

Rainbowdash: Now go show that spirit who's boss!

Mane 5: And always remember, were always with you, even when were not by your side.

Twilight stood up and looked upon her friends and Celestia, no longer ashamed of herself.

Twilight: You're right. Thank you girls, thank you princess. I gave up too easily but i still have a chance to make things right. I have learned my lesson.

Celestia: Indeed. what have you learned today Twilight?

Twilight: I have learned that hope always remains even in the most desperate of times, that your friends are always there for you no matter what, and most importantly to trust in yourself, to never loose confidence, when you believe in yourself you can do anything.

Celestia: I'm proud of you, i told you i did right to chose you as my prized student, and never for even a second have i had regrets about that choice. now go my child. Show my student that the shadows can't triumph over the light.

Twilights mind returned to her body in the nightmare realm and she stood up.

Nightmare spirit: Oi! You're finally awake! This isn't quite the best place for taking a nap ya know. Ha ha ha ha!

Twilight made a sharp look right in to the eyes of the spirit and scared him. No one has ever scared the spirit in his life as a shadow, and this moment was more then enough for Twilight to take advantage of it. Twilight pointed her horn right at the center of the nightmare realm-the so called dark sun. Not only did her horn start flashing but her entire body turned white and light embraced every corner of the nightmare realm.

Nightmare spirit: No! Stop! What are you doing? Stop that right now! AAAHHH!!

As the spirit started loosing his grip upon his realm the mist started fading and Twilights friends crawled out of it one by one.It was not long before the mist was completely overcome by light and the dark sun turned bright shining upon the spirit and cleansing him of the shadow. the spirit was gone and The mane 6 escaped the realm and appeared back in Ponyville.

Later that day Twilight went over to Celestia for a visit. There was one question she really wanted to ask.

Twilight: Greetings princess Celestia.

Celestia: Greetings my prized student.

Twilight: I've been meaning to ask you- what ever happened to your student after he got cleansed of the shadows? Is he..gone?

Celestia closed her eyes and sadly nodded.

Twilight: Oh. that's a shame, i really wanted to meet him.

Celestia: Believe me Twilight it's for the best.

Twilight: Right. Thank you for your assistance princess. i couldn't have done it without you.

Twilight left the castle. Celestia watched her leave and giggled.

Celestia: You can come out now Sunwell. She's gone

Celestia stepped aside and a white unicorn with a blue colored mane and tail walked out from behind her throne. His name was Sunwell Dawnstar.

Sunwell: I still don't understand why you had to hide me from her your majesty.

Celestia: I can't have two prized students now can i?

Both ponies smiled and laughed. Celestia bent down and put her head over Sunwells shoulders and covered him with her wing and smiled. Sunwell smiled as well.

Celestia: It's good to have you back Sunwell.

Sunwell: It's good to be back your majesty.
