Dear, Author....

It is with a heavy heart that I send you this letter so soon after Dash's...departure. I just wanted to let you know she still remembers all those years with you, all you taught her. And it is with those things you taught her, that she holds closest to her heart. She still has a picture of you up on her window sill...sometimes I look up, and I can see her staring at the picture, resting on the sill. So, I have something to give you. I cannot give you Dash, and I cannot give you any other sort of comfort other than...solace. Take solace in the fact that you still hold all of those memories with you. Every good moment, every bad moment. All you can do is remember the times you had. I hope this letter has been enough, but, as I feel it may not, in the package this came in, you will find an envelope. To send a letter to me, all you have to do is put the letter in the envelope and burn it. But, I digress. Seeing how you reacted when we came....I grew so sad...I knew you loved her, not like a friend, like we did....but like a daughter. You raised her with the best of your ability, and that's what made you strong.

Dear Daddy...

It has been 5 years your time since I left...and I still can't shake this feeling. I want you to teach me more about your world, Dad....I love you. I can't put it any other way. I miss...snuggling up with you as a filly, falling asleep in your arms, while we watched...Spongebob, was it? And ate popcorn on late nights...I'm not much for words, but...you meant the world to me...my parents wouldn't give me the time of day but you...you gave me everything. So....I'm sorry....I'm sorry I had to leave. But it's my home...I wanted to stay with you so, so much, but I couldn't....I knew I had to go, and seeing your face as I did...I couldn't handle it. I hope you are well.
