Chapter 1: Introduction

In the city of Ponyville, there is a pony that is stranger than all the rest. Although others would argue that the title is reserved for Pinkie Pie, this pony's name is James. Regardless of the fact that he does do or say some weird things at times, the biggest quality that makes him strange is the fact that he was originally a human.

He stumbled into Equestria from a world of humans, but noone knows how he got here, not even he knows. James must be from another planet though since he can shape-shift while just being an Earth pony. He claims he couldn't do such things on his planet, and Princess Celestia believes he can do it now cause of having such a high psyche in this world. When he does use his powers, he usually makes spider legs grow from his back or he'd control the plants around him, other than that he looked like a regular Earth pony. He had black fur, an orange muzzle, blue eyes, a mildly shaggy mane of green with silver tips, and a green tail with a silver stripe in the middle. He was also quite scrawny. At a distance, you almost couldn't tell whether he was a mare or a stallion.

James usually hangs around Twilight and her friends, mostly Pinkie Pie, and lives in Ponyville almost without any wishes to return to his world. Little does he know that today of all days just may provide him with something that he thought was impossible, especially on his home world. Today, he finds himself as part of a crowd in the middle of Ponyville's town square, and a little hut on wheels stands before him.
