Manticore attack

Without any regard as to what would become of Rainbow Dash, Grievous tossed her a few feet away and turned to fully face the manticore. His mane, face, chest, and front paws were smeared and caked with blood. The overall body of a manticore was basically that of a lion, with a red scorpion tail that could inject lethal venom into the body. And had huge bat like wings on the back enabling it with the power of flight.

Grievous rolled aside when the ravenous beast took a swipe at him. In mere seconds he pulled out two lightsabers and effortlessly spun around to face the monster.

VMM!

The beams ignited, a green lightsaber in his right hand and a blue in his left. Grievous remained crouched low to the ground, the two circled each other dangerously. From even where he stood, the warlord could see the manticore's deranged and bloodshot eyes. Even though he was in an entirely different world the general could very plainly recognize a rabid animal. And just like all rabid animals it needed to be put down.

Something Grievous had no qualms about doing. It had been awhile since he killed something and he could use the entertainment.

The manticore roared and lunged at the cyborg who simply tapped his green saber on the manticore's front paw. It yelped and lept back, looking at his singed limb. No blood of any sort but a very agonizing burn. The beast's eyes narrowed and again it sprang at Grievous, who easily stepped aside and drew both lightsabers along the rabid monster's side.

The manticore reacted faster this time around and attempted to bite the Kaleesh warlord but he jumped back. The manticore tried surprising him by lashing his tail at one of the cyborg's six fingered hands, his right to be exact.

Grievous loftily tossed the lightsaber into the air and swiped with the blue blade.

VRUM!

Half of the tail lay at Grievous' metal feet. While the beast screamed his pain Grievous casually walked up and swiftly kicked him hard in the ribs and immediately a gasp could be heard. The manticore sprawled along the ground before springing back up.

Again, the deranged beast lunged.

Grievous held up each lightsaber taking care to make sure they weren't too close...and began rotating each hand in reverse. The blades sang electronically through the air and the manticore actually began to step back with a befuddled expression. He'd seen plenty of sword wielders who were fully capable of spinning their swords but nothing like this!

Shaking his shaggy head once and regaining his courage the manticore lunged again, rising up his hind legs.

Grievous ceased his incredibly fast lightsaber spinning and swung up with his blue saber cleaving the manticore's right paw off! Dashing by he drew the green saber through the beast's back legs the manticore instantaneously went down. Feebly managing to land on his back in hopes of using his remaining paw to defend himself.

But it was much to late for that.

Without any form of remorse or mercy, Grievous plunged both lightsabers into the manticore's heaving chest. The general took immense satisfaction at seeing the brief look of terror cloud the creature's eyes over, the light vanishing just as fast, and the familiar death rattle sounding out as the head fell back limply.

Deactivating his weapons and returning them to his cape he stood proudly over his kill, he could feel that Rainbow Dash's eyes practically glued to him. Grievous coldly turned his gaze to Fluttershy who had her back turned to them and he could plainly hear her crying softly.

Fluttershy's tearful eyes stared up at him when he approached and she only cried harder.

Before any of them could do anything a high pitched voice, one of which filled Grievous with annoyance hollered:

HEY EVERYPONY! I found Fluttershy and Rainbow Dash!”

“Pinkie! Stay away!” Rainbow Dash yelled back at the newcomer, Grievous observed that the pink creature with a very puffy mane was without wings.

And she was not alone. Next Chapter: Introductions Estimated time remaining: 2 Hours, 8 Minutes
