The changes start.

It was late at night and fluttershy had just finished giving the animals under her care there midnight snack. She had just gotten into bed when she saw a bright light come out of the ground somewhere deep within the Everfree forest. Not understanding what happened she chose to try and ignore it, failing somewhat before lying down.

"The Everfree forest has done strange things before but I have never seen anything like this." Fluttershy told herself.

She slowly began to fall asleep and forget about what she just saw. She was half asleep when she heard it. Whispers.

They seemed all around her. She tried to pinpoint the source of the noise, but had no success. They all said one thing.

"That time has come again.... The successor shall be found and the secrets revealed. If its time does not come then shall all perish by that which is unknown."

Fluttershy stood up quickly almost falling off her bed and gave off a quick squeak. The whispers quickly stopped. The fear she felt quickly left leaving her only to wonder what had happened and what it meant.

"The successor......Secrets.......What just happened. She thought to herself trying to keep herself from panicking. She looked around. All the animals were sounds asleep.

"it must have been a dream" She thought to herself. She lied back down and tried to sleep.  

She awoke early the next morning. She was used to getting up early to feed and animals and take care of any issues that may have happened during the night. She remembered what happened last night whilst feeding the birds and looked up to the spot in the sky where she had seen the light.

"I wonder if that was a dream or not. I hope nothing bad happened to any of those poor animals that live in the forest." She said with a slight sigh afterwords.

She was hoping that she was the only one who and seen or heard anything that happened. She knew that if Rainbow dash or Twilight had seen or heard anything coming from the Everfree forest, they would be looking for Fluttershy, in hopes of finding out what it was . She could navigate the forest better than any other pony could and they knew this well. They would probably be asking her to guide them through the forest. She had seen how deep the light had come from and only being that deep a few times she knew it would scare her not knowing what could be there. Even the thought scared her.

As she walked around her house she decided to look at her supplies and saw that she was running low food. Luckily she saw that she was in no need of getting any new medicine and decided the best thing to do was make a list of everything she needed.

"Time to go to the market, I wonder what I will hear this time." Fluttershy said with a smile.

Fluttershy tended to listen in on what the other ponies said so she could keep up with current events and hear what news people had. It was the only way she really could learn anything new being to shy to talk much to others other than her friends which she didn't see that often. She liked shopping knowing that she was getting it to help her animal friends though didn't like the mass of ponies that tended to be at the market. She grabbed her bags, holding them with her wings, put the list in one of the bags and asked angel to take care of the other animals whilst she was gone. Angel giving her a look as if he was saying "Fine" in a reluctant manner.

On her way there she overheard some ponies talking about the light they saw last night. At first she thought it was odd that that many ponies even stayed up that late but then began to relies that no one seemed to have heard the whispers that she had. Or rather they didn't hear anything at all. Not a single word about even a strange noise they heard after the light. After first she was stunned by this but slow came to the belief she had dreamt the whispers and that there was nothing to be afraid of.  

Once she reached the market she pulled out the list containing everything she needed. Apples, carrots, hay, lettuce, Some spices, nuts and wheat grains. It was a rather simple list in compared to what she normally had to get to. Medicine would normally also be on the list and each kind she needed had to be perfectly noted. Thankfully the list was small and Fluttershy took full advantage of this by looking around for new things that she might be able to help her in her work.

Right before she was about to leave and voice popped up be hind her. She squeaked and jumped about a meter or two back.

It was Pinkie Pie.

"Hi Fluttershy, Twilight told me to find you because there something important we need to hear at the library." Pinkie said with an odd sense of seriousness.

Fluttershy calmed down and looked at Pinkie.

"Okay, but i kinda need to gets these things back to my cottage.... If you don't mind."

"Its okay silly, we need to go there later anyways. Now i have to find Applejack." Pinkie said with a big smile on her face. Pinkie shot off in the direction of the apple acres. Fluttershy Squeaked again as Pinkie left due to the speed in which she left.

"I hope that angel it handling everything ok... Hes not going to be happy with me being late, but i'm sure he will understand." Fluttershy told herself as she started walking to the library.

All of her friends were there by the time she got to the library. The bags had slowed her down but seeing Pinkie Pie and Apple Jack there already made her wonder how long it had really takin her.

"Am I late, I'm sorry...." She said sadly.

"No no Fluttershy, your not late. The others only just got here." Twilight said trying to lighten the mood

"What are you talking about twi, I've been here for like a half an hour." Rainbow dash said impatiently but quickly getting a angry look from twilight.

"Anyways down to business, Spike would you read the letter the princess sent?" Twilight said

"Ok" Spike said with a sincere voice though one could see he was trying to hide his excitement.

"My dearest, most faithful student, Twilight Sparkle,

Its has come to my attention that at some point last night a great energy was released somewhere in the Everfree forest.  Princess Luna has confirmed it and I want you and the other elements to find the source, for I fear that it might be a danger that such a power could have been released in such a short time. You may have seen it as a light beam. We have also think that this may have been caused by a Intelligent creature. It is quite possible a pony did this but we need to see the affect. Me and Luna heard a voice speak soon after the outburst though it was unclear what it had said. I would like you and your friends to confirm whether or not this will pose a threat to Equestria. The source was located deep within the forest so i suggest you bring so overnight things.

Your mentor, Princess Celestia"

Pinkie was the first to react. "Oh boy, an adventure?!? I will have to get my stuff ready right away!!" Before any other pony could react Pinkie was gone. Disappearing in a poof of grey dust.

Fluttershy squeaked. Everypony thought she had because of Pinkie. The true reason was that the letter talked about a voice. Now she was very unsure whether she had heard them or not. The note clearly said that a voice was heard but that they could not make out what said. Why would she understand the voices but not the princesses.

Twilight was about to say something when spike burped up a new letter. He quickly opened it and read it.

My Dearest, most faithful student, Twilight Sparkle,

There in no need to fear any dangers in the forest. Princess Luna and her royal guard will also be there to accompany you. They will be meeting you at Fluttershy's house to prepare quickly.

Your mentor, Princess Celestia  

Twilight froze in shock. "Princess Luna is coming!?! AAAAAAAAAAHHHH, how do I look, what should I say?!? Quickly, help me clean UP!!! She can't see me like this."

"Calm down." Rarity said. "You look fine. I'd say we pack quickly, the sooner we're in the that retched forest, the sooner we can leave."

"Well lets all get ready and meet at Fluttershy's" Applejack said as she walked to the door.

Everyone had left except Fluttershy and Twilight. Twilight was busy packing books and other such things into her bag Fluttershy was shaking with fear. Not only did she hear the whispers but they were going to find the what did the whispering. She felt a chill go down her spine. Twilight noticed Fluttershy after coming back down from her room. She thought it was very strange that Fluttershy was this scared. Sure Fluttershy got scared easily but Twilight had never seen her this scared before.

"Don't worry Fluttershy, we will have Princess Luna and her royal guard to keep us safe." Twilight told her. She seemed to have calmed down quickly. "By the way the way. Whats in your bags?"

"Oh its just some food. I was at the market before I came here. I'm sorry if it is a problem." Fluttershy had almost forgotten that she had them with her. She was still scared of what she had to do with her friends but Twilight's words had helped a bit and she tried to hide her fear.

"Its not a problem, in fact this is quite handy. This means we already have food for the trip. Applejack will be bringing the tents and blankets so all we really need is medicine and we can pick that up before we leave. I'm done now so lets go to your  cottage and get the last things we need." Twilight said. Fluttershy nodded and together they walked to her cottage.

Twilight and Fluttershy were the first to get to the cottage. Angel sat at front of the door with a displeased look on his face.

"I'm sorry Angel, an emergency came up, can you please forgive me?" Fluttershy asked as nice as she could. Angel just a gave look disapproval but gave a grunt and nodded. "Thank you, Angel" Fluttershy smiled. She then remembered that she had to grab the medicine. She also made sure to bring a first aid kit, just in cause. She knew how dangerous the forest can be and it got worse at night. That thought made her squeak a little.

The next to arrive were Pinkie Pie and Rainbow Dash, both ready for an adventure. Next came Applejack with all the camping supplies aside from the food. Last came rarity with bags full of cloths "Even if we are going to be in that horrid forest, I'm still going to look my best!" Rarity said. "I don't think we will, or rather you would need that much clothing on this trip. For that matter, we rarely wear cloths!" Applejack said. The other ponies nodded to each other. Rarity look at them as if she had just been betrayed and walked away.

"I wonder what we will find in the forest" Rainbow Dash said. "Maybe we will have to battle a manticore or even a hydra, I can't wait!! Fluttershy squeaked and then thought. "I need to stop doing that" She thought to herself. though the idea of a hydra or manticore trying attack them scared her and rightfully so. They are some of the most dangerous creatures in the forest aside from cockatrice and other creatures that only she knew and few other knew about. She was more worried about    a Firebat or slink popping up. Firebats were as Fluttershy puts it "Mean big lizards with an urge to spit fire on anything that happened to walk by." She knew they could be kind but it was very hard to get on there good side.

Slinks on there other hand were the worst thing you could come across. Slime like creatures that were near impossible to stop once they had a motive. If they are made angry they would suffocate the ones who angered them. She had prepared a special medicine that would calm them or even make them sleep. Nothing that would hurt them. Its was a custom medicine specially made by Fluttershy. A little secret talent she had learned so she could feed her urge to help others in need no matter how they acted.

After awhile of talking and last minute preparations Princess Luna arrived. Fluttershy did her best not to get scared by Luna and did her best to hide any squeaks. All the ponies bowed. They noticed how many guards had been sent to aid them. There must have been about 20 or 30 guards, far more than the normal escort. "They must be taking this very seriously." Fluttershy thought to herself. It scared her but also made her happy to know she and her friends were safe.

"Hello Princess, its nice to see you again. I hope you had no trouble getting here." Twilight greeted happily.

"Its nice to see you again Twilight Sparkle." Luna said. There was not a hint even of royal canterlot voice in Luna's voice which made Fluttershy far less scared. "I hope that this has not interfered with any plans you had and that you are ready to go. Tia Wanted me to hurry and I can see she is worried, so I would like to find the source quickly."

"No worries Princess, we are ready and waiting to go." Twilight said

"And don't worry princess, I will protect you if and monster try to attack you!" Rainbow Dash rudely yelled out.

"We need not worry about our safety, I didn't bring my royal guard for nothing." Luna told the ponies though you could here some doubt in her voice. "Lets be on our way."

They walked to the entrance of the forest, Fluttershy gulped and prepared herself to enter.

"We reckon the source of the energy is around the area" The leader of the guards told Luna.

"Lets hope your right, Shield. Theirs no use in just pointing at maps, Shall we?" Luna asked to the 6 mane ponies. They all nodded and started walking into the forest.

Thanks for reading, I hope there wasn't to many errors in my spelling. I finished this at 1:30 in the morning and it has left my brain rather full. I don't know how much of this I will be able to pump out but i will try to do as much as i can (based on the reactions I get and whether or not i have the time.

Enter the forest

There groups first steps into the forest were without issue, Fluttershy had finally calmed down but she seemed the only one that had. Pinkie was bouncing out of excitement or was she always bouncing. Fluttershy pondered on it for a second but it didn't seem like anything to think about for to long. Pinkie Pie was always being random, as Rainbow Dash would put it. Speaking of Rainbow Dash, she was doing loops and tricks everywhere.

"I can't wait to see some action!" Rainbow Dash yelled out of excitement. She almost starting spamming out shouts of excitement  but before she could really start Twilight spoke through it.

"It would be nicer if we didn't run into anything" Twilight interrupted "We don't know what is in this forest and it could be very dangerous." Twilight remembered the encounter with the cockatrice and shook a little. The idea of being a stone statue forever seemed to have got to her.

"We are bound to run into danger, it will take two or three days to reach the area of the source. Which mind you has still not been pinpointed. And we have to leave the forest again. It would be a stretch of very good luck if nothing happened." Luna said with a smirk. She had not been outside of the castle that much after being released from the moon and was is one of her first adventures. She was probably looking forward to some danger herself.

The group had walked for about 3 hours and decided to set up camp. The time in which they had left was in part the cause of the early stop. As Luna prepared to rise the moon, Fluttershy began on the cooking. Everything seemed to going good so far. "No danger so far...... no danger at all." She thought to herself with a smile. "Maybe we won't run into anything at all." Though she knew that would not be the case. They were not that deep in the forest and everything got worse as you got deeper. The easiest was to know where you will find what was to look and feel at the trees. The more damaged they were or the bigger they got, pointed to what you'd find in that area. So the best places to set up camp would be in areas with small weak trees that were barley damaged, whilst avoiding and area with very large or damaged trees. Another way to keep safe was to avoid areas with high amounts of rocks or sticks littering the ground. This was a sign that a cockatrice or "Tuncreep" was in the area. tuncreeps would litter an area with small dry sticks so when a creature or pony walked and snapped a stick, it could hear it and would tunnel underneath it. It was a bug like creature. It looked like a centipede only much larger. Though they do not use poison to help catch there prey.

After it had pinpointed the location of its prey it would burst out of the ground under or very close to its prey and pull it down into the ground. Few have ever escaped ones clutches. Fluttershy being one of the survivors. Her encounter was with a sick tuncreep was a lucky one. She had managed to nurse it back to health and in return, was aloud to live.

Fluttershy didn't really know if she should tell them about these dangers though she thought the princess already knew. "Luna would probably be the one to tell them." She thought to herself. Oddly though, not once did she speak of the dangers of the forest. Though Rainbow dash would not stop talking about what she would do if she saw danger.

"If anything attacks I will beat it no prob, I'll even stare down a cockatrice if I have to." Rainbow Dash yelled. All she seemed to have done was yell since they got into the forest.

Twilight laughed "I don't think you'd win a staring contest with cockatrice, or would you be able to protect yourself from a manticore. We should just let the guard handle it, they have more experience with these kind of things."

Twilight was right about the guards, royal guards were only really there in case of animal or dragon attack. In the time that Princess Celestia and Princess Luna had ruled, had there only been one war during the rebellion of Luna and The New Lunar republic. Being that the threat of war seemed so be extremely low and guards got little to no "pony to pony" combat and were mostly trained in the art of rescue and dealing with creatures that had been causing problems, or protect during escorts.

It was was they were going to bed that another light beam shot into the sky. This time it was a red beam and it had happened much earlier then the one of the night before. All the ponies stared at the light until it disappeared, most looking in awe of what it might be. Only fluttershy and Luna looked at it with a hint of fear. "I hope the animals are doing okay." Fluttershy told herself only to get a reply.

"I'm sure there doing fine. I have faith in Angel and you should to." Applejack told Fluttershy. "Your right.... I'm sorry... I can't help but worry." Fluttershy replied. She was kind of sad that she had left Angel be hide. Though she new that his stubbornness would lead the rest into danger if he came with.

"I really wonder what making those light beams." Twilight said

"As do I." Luna replied "I only hope that it is not a sign of danger, I don't know what I would do if somepony got hurt because of this journey" The worried look never left her face. "I will stay awake and keep an eye out." Luna told the rest, Her being nocturnal meant she could do it without issue.

"I will take guard early in the morning Princess, You still need some sleep" Shield the leader of the royal guard said.

"Thank you, Shield. Make sure to wake me if anything happens" Luna said as she found a good spot to sit and wait.

"Wake me up to! I want to get the chance to fight with you." Rainbow Dash yelled out. Even though you could see how tired she was she was still yelling... Fluttershy thought to herself. She was getting very tired as well. The stress of the day had taken a toll on her.

Shield looked up to Luna seeing if it was aloud. She nodded slightly. Even if no one would wake up Dash, she'd probably still wake up looking for a fight.

All kinds of sounds could be head from the forest. The wind was blowing quietly and it made Fluttershy feel at ease. She could see that all the other ponies were sleeping. She tried to sleep but couldn't. The moon was high in the sky and the stars look beautiful.

All of a sudden she heard the same whispers that she had heard the night before. At first they spoke the same thing but then began adding new sentences.

"That time has come again.... The successor shall be found and the secrets revealed. If its time does not come then shall all perish by that which is unknown.

As reach suns fall and moons rise. A light shall be seen and a voice shall sound. Those who hear it but do not understand beware. Those who hear it as a tongue of there own, embrace that which is sounded. Doubt not what is heard or else you shall fall beneath the feet of others of which have not yet been spoken.

Fluttershy jumped up and almost squeaked again but kept herself from doing so. She look around and saw Luna. Luna had also heard the whispers and looked at Fluttershy in disbelief.

"Did you hear the voices, Fluttershy?" Luna asked trying to keep the others from waking up.

"Yes princess...... I did." Fluttershy said trying to keep in a squeak.

"Do you know what that said?" Luna asked. She didn't know if she should be scared by this or excited.

"Yes princess... they... said........" Fluttershy was interrupted by Luna "We should not talk about it here, I don't want to wake the others come." Fluttershy nodded and the two of them walked to an open area not to far away. "Tell me what they said"

Fluttershy told Luna what she had heard and about it happening to her the night before. Luna still had the look of disbelief as she listened. The look on her face slowly changed into curiosity. Luna  started wondering what it meant just as much as Fluttershy.

"I need to tell my sister right away. Go back to the camp and wake a guard and tell him that I have to leave and he must now take guard. I will be back by morning, do not move camp until i'm back. And don't forget: Do not to tell anypony what happened to you. This night or last. This could be of great importance but until we are sure. Don't speak a word."

"Yes princess." Fluttershy felt better after telling somepony and most of the bad feelings had left. She started walking back to the camp. Princess Luna teleported away in the same way Fluttershy had seen Princess Celestia teleport, only instead of a bright light, it was a dark shadow. She was almost out of the clearing when she heard a voice coming from one of the trees.

"So it appears your the successor of this system, i'm glad it will be left in such kind hands."

Fluttershy Squeaked and looked up in the trees. The voice sounded like the whispers she had heard only this time as one voice. It was a males voice from what it sounded like.

It was to dark to see what had spoke but she could see a single small glowing eye looking down on her. it was not circular but a red line. starting thin oh both side of the face and grew quickly downwards and then went back up leaving only a thin strip connecting the two sides. It looked like a strange pair of glasses or googles instead of an eye.

The creature jumped out of the tree and Fluttershy jumped back, almost landing in some bushes that were behind her. She was to afraid to talk.

"There is no need to fear me, little one." The creature said.

Fluttershy could now clearly see it now. It stood tall, just a bit taller than the princesses. It wore a strange suit with patches of skin showing along the shoulders and face. Its skin was light and partially tanned. The next thing she saw was that It had hands. Hands like spikes but with dull ends. It wore gloves that went half up its arm but left the fingers bare. It also wore a hood with a small tip at the end that cast a shadow over the whole face other than a piece of its chin. Right above the beginning of the legs she saw a small black cape that reached down to about the knees.

They stared at each other studying one others looks. Fluttershy finally worked up the courage to speak.

"Who are you?" She didn't think of what it could be. She was so used to being around other animals that it didn't dawn on her at first.

"I'm Siege, Guardian of this system. Though I doubt you know what that means." The creature said kindly "What might your name be little one?"

"My....... my name is Fluttershy." She squeaked a little. She began to calm down. The creatures voice sounded trustworthy and she felt safer hearing it.  

"Well then little Fluttershy, I guess I have some explaining to do." The creature said only to be cut off by a guard.

"Who goes there!?" The guard yelled out. Fluttershy squeaked and looked at the creature. She could here some guards coming to her there location.

"it looks like this is not the time to tell you what your fate is, little Fluttershy. Tell the others not of what you saw or heard tonight. It is not yet time for the secret to be revealed. Remember my name, for you will need it later if you want to continue your journey for the truth."

Before Fluttershy could say a word a distinct robotic voice was heard "Cloak engaged" The creature known as Siege Disappeared right before Fluttershy's eyes. She squeaked and saw the guards. They had finally reached the clearing but were to late to see anything other than Fluttershy looking at a tree.

"We heard voices, are you okay? One of the guard asked impatiently. He had trouble waking the other guards up which had angered him. One of the guards even kicked him in the face by accident.  

"Everything is okay, sir. I was just talking to one of the birds" Fluttershy said trying her best to lie. She had a little smile on her face. "A new animal friend." She thought to herself. Her reaction was more than strange, but she would rather be happy then fear what just happened.

Rainbow Dash popped out of the bushes at full speed.

"Is there a fight. What did I miss?!? She said yelled put of excitement.

"Its a false alarm, miss." The guard told Rainbow Dash. The look of she had on her face quickly changed to disappointment and she quickly got sleepy again. "A man, I really thought there was some action going on" Rainbow complained.

"I'm sorry rainbow, I didn't mean to wake you up...." Fluttershy said happily. She had no idea how the guards or Rainbow would have reacted to Siege and how he seemed to of just disappeared had helped them both.

Twilight and the others had also been woken up by the commotion and had found there way to the clearing. The only ones not in the clearing were rarity and a few guards. the 4 were yawning as the guards brought them back to camp. Along the way Twilight saw the Princess Luna was missing.

"Wheres princess Luna?" She asked.

"She needed to go tell princess Celestia something. That reminds me, she told me that some of the guards need to be awake and keep guard whilst the princess in gone. We aren't aloud to leave until she has returned." Fluttershy replied.

"Did she tell you what she needed to tell Princess Celstia? Twilight asked. Fluttershy shook here head saying no and continued to walk back to camp. She thought it would be better if twilight didn't know to much and knew bad things would happen if she did considering the warnings she got.      

"I will stand guard for the rest of the night." One of the guards told the rest.

"I will too!" Rainbow Dash yelled. "I dont want to miss anything this time!"

Fluttershy wondered if Rainbow would ever stop yelling and lied down. She began to get very tired and fell asleep almost right away. She had had a long night and deserved some sleep.

[Again thank you for reading, I am trying to keep things from expanding to quickly but i think i might be failing a bit. Please excuse any grammar and spelling mistakes made. Writing has never been my talent and this is only my first story. I don't know when i will have the next chapter ready but it should not take too long. I can keep pumping out chapters and long as i have an idea of how i want to continue the story (which has not been a problem so far.) and as long as i have the time. This will continue until late Sunday, since my vacation is almost over. I'm doing the best to preread and find any mistakes.before posting the chapters but if anyone would like to help preread just message me and you can.]

Overnight walk.

Fluttershy has slept well for the rest of the night. Not once was she woken up by anything. When she did wake up it was somewhat early in the morning. She saw the guard that had volunteered to stay guard was still awake but Rainbow Dash had fallen asleep. She probably couldn't handle staying up all night.

It was a crisp morning but the forest seemed far more peaceful and light then normal. The sun was shining bright and Fluttershy could hear birds chirping. She felt somewhat hungry and decided not to lay down any longer. She got out of her makeshift bed and looked around. After a quick moment to take in the surroundings Fluttershy grabbed the food and got ready for some cooking.

Fluttershy began to look for some dry sticks that she could use for a fire. She wanted to be nice and make some soup for everypony. Some of the guards had already woken up and offered to help her with looking for any wood that could be used. She kindly declined. She knew what dangers there where in the forest and how to spot them but she was unsure if they did. Twilight did say that the guards were trained in combating creatures from big to small but Fluttershy has only heard of them doing this in or around towns. Now they were in the Everfree forest and they were on the creatures home turf.

While looking for wood she found one of the areas that was most dangerous. It was a large field with some trees here in there but the thing that really gave it away was the sticks everywhere. There was not a single blade of grass in the entire field. It was like a freshly dug grain field, that had just been hit by a storm. Fluttershy knew that she would have to warn the rest about this and quickly went back. She was glad that she had declined the guards request to help her. This was the close by and in the direction the had to go.

When Fluttershy finished collecting the wood she started heading back to the campsite. Everypony other than Rainbow Dash was already awake by then. She notice twilight trying to wake Rainbow up but not matter what she did, Rainbow would not wake up.

"You know she doesn't have to get up until princess Luna gets back, right?" Fluttershy told Twilight. "I guess that's true but I wanted her to get up so she could scout out the area ahead of us before the princess got here." Twilight responded. "Speaking of which there is a place up ahead that me need to avoid." Fluttershy told twilight. She told Twilight about the tuncreep and why they needed to avoid the field Fluttershy saw.

"I'm glad you told me this. Have you told the others already?" Twilight asked. Fluttershy shook her head. She was never good with crowds and asked Twilight if she could tell them instead. Twilight accepted the chance to teach the others quickly. It was something she loved to do.

Fluttershy worked on preparing the food as Twilight told the others about the tuncreep. It didn't take to long and soon afterwards, everyone was eating. As the others talked, Fluttershy began to think about what had happened the night before. "I wonder what Siege is, he look kinda like a monkey or maybe an ape but much larger and walked very differently." She also thought about how he just disappeared in front of her. She had never seen something like that before. She tried not to dwell on it to much and continued to eat.

Rainbow Dash began to wake up at the smell of food. Her head hurt and she was very tired. "Thats the last time I try anything like that again." She said to herself. It was the first sentence she had said since the beginning of the trip without yelling.

"I see your finally awake" Twilight said to rainbow in a slightly irritated voice. "I had been trying to wake you up all morning."

"Whats the big deal? Its not like the princess it here yet." Rainbow Dash replied though she did not really know if that was true or not. Her voice was starting to get louder and the yelling was probably going to start again as soon as she was fully awake.

Rainbow Dash was right about to sit down and eat when princess Luna returned. "We must be on our way, hurry and begin the packing up." Luna said. She had a worried and excited look on her face. Everyone got up other than Rainbow Dash who quickly grabbed a bowl of soup and ate as much as she could before Fluttershy started taking the bowls from everypony. She let out a burp and got a angry look from Twilight.

It took about 10 minutes before they were all ready to leave. All of them were happy to be on there way. They kept walking for a good long hour or so, making sure to avoid the "Bare fields". They were patches of the forest where the tuncreeps hunted. Fluttershy gave them that name so it would be easier to warn others as they walked along.

Rainbow had been flying around for most of the time and wondered why they didn't just go through the bare patches. She was the only one that didn't know about the tuncreeps due to the fact she was still sleeping when Fluttershy and Twilight had explained what they were. She flew over one and the bare patches closest to the group and landed. Twilight saw this and yelled out to Rainbow Dash "No Rainbow, don't land there its not safe!!" It was too late. *Crack* Rainbow Dash landed on a twig making it snap.

The group fell silent and they started to feel a rumble coming. Before anyone could react a massive creature popped up out of the ground. They all thought that Rainbow Dash was a goner but then something happened that no one expected. A bang was heard followed by an explosion. A large chuck of the tuncreep's hind shell fell off and landed on the ground. A loud whisper was spoken short after. The whisper was filled with anger and spite.

Hurt these creatures and you will feel my wrath, if you choose to flee, then your life will be spared!!

The tuncreep stopped for a moment and then felt the pain of the explosion. It let out a horrifying screech and quickly dove back into the earth, sealing the hole it had made as it left.

Fluttershy gasped and tears came to her eyes. She had never heard a creature let out such a screech of pain before. She wiped away the tears. She was glad that Rainbow Dash had not been killed but wished that the tuncreep could have been stopped a different way.

There was a look of shock on everyponies face. None of them moved, all trying to understand what happened. Rainbow Dash was the first to say something. "That was AWESOME!!" She yelled at the top of her longs whilst jumping in the air. Though the event had left her a bit shakin, she still couldn't hide her excitement. She was looking forward to this trip, just for these kind of moments. None of the other ponies could understand her outburst of joy. Some ponies still stood there frozen, mouths wide open. They didn't believe that this would happen, let only that someone would be happy about it.

Twilight was next to speak. "Did anyone else hear a voice just now?"

I heard it." Pinkie Pie shouted. "Me too." Applejack followed. They all of them seemed to have heard the voice this time.

"Did anypony understand the voice?" Luna asked. All the ponies shook there heads. Even Fluttershy did. She didn't want to be the center of attention. Luna looked at her and gave a face as if she understood Fluttershy's problem. All of them were left wondering what had made the voice, other than Fluttershy who just hid the fact she knew. She was the only one who knew about Siege and was not about to tell anyone about him.

They took a quick breather so that everypony could calm down and get a little snack and then continued to move. Luna had said that they would be there next morning so they could take it easy for a while. They where however going to be walking all night. This disappointed Rainbow Dash a little. She hardly made it the night before and was not ready to try again. At least she would be awake with her friends and not with a guard that hardly ever spoke. She thought to herself, trying to make the situation seem better than it was.

Rainbow dash was not the only one in deep thought. Twilight had also been doing a lot of thinking. She wondered what the lights she had seen meant and what the whisper they heard said. She also wondered why princess Luna would want them to walk over night. At first it seemed like this was going to be a simple trip but it looked like the princesses thought this was very important. She didn't mind the night time walk though. Twilight had always liked the night. It was the time when everything was much more peaceful and it was easier to think straight. She had spent many night just looking up at the stars, wondering what else could be out there in what seemed to be an endless universe.

The group walked for a few more hours. Applejack, Pinkie Pie and rarity kept talking to each other through out the walk. Rainbow Dash kept to the skies and Fluttershy and Twilight didn't do much talking at all. Both of them in deep thought about all the had happened in the past days.

They all took a break to eat. Fluttershy prepared more soup as Luna began to raise the moon. All the ponies watched her as she raised it. Not many ponies ever got change to see her do it and welcomed the chance to see it for themselves. Luna sat down, slowly closed her eyes and began to focus. Her horn started glowing a very dark blue color and her mane and tail started to flutter. Then next thing the ponies saw was the moon rising in the sky as the sun faded. Luna's horn stop glowing and her mane stop fluttering. She opened her eyes and saw a ring of ponies around her. She smiled a little and prepared to eat. She had not eatin food made by anypony other than the royal chefs the lived in her palace. She took a bite of the fresh soup. Her eyes opened wide and she looked around to see all the ponies looking at her. She quickly chewed and swallowed

"Who was the one that made with wonderful soup?" She asked. She had never had anything so good. Fluttershy slowly raised her hoof. "I made the soup princess."  

"You must give me the recipe for this soup. I'm sure that the royal chefs would like to try this." Luna said with a smile on her face. "Once we are done in this forest, I truly request you give me the recipe." Fluttershy nodded slightly. She was happy that the princess like her soup so much.

They were just packing up when they saw a third light beam shoot out into the sky. It was red again and the ponies could feel heat coming from it. "We must be close." Twilight said though not really saying it to anypony. The light lasted longer than the last two but not by much.

They started walking towards the light to give them a direction. Fluttershy could hear soft whispers as the light shined but the were far to quiet to make out what any of them said. As they walked they walked it started to get really dark. The trees started getting bigger as they walked and there leaves blocked out most of the light that had been coming from the moon and star. Twilight and some of the guard light up there horns, so that the could still see everything around them.

Rainbow Dash was flying up in the sky when she something strange moving through the trees. It was to dark to make out what it looked like. The next thing she heard was a loud roar and the a sound that sounded like two swords striking one another. She see what looked something like a fight going on down in the forest. The next thing she heard was another loud roar. This time it was a roar of pain that had been cut short.

Rainbow Dash mustered up some courage and decided to go down and looked to see what happened. She poked her head through the trees and saw two manticore running in fear. She turned her heard and saw something that came as a complete surprise. There lied the dead body of a manticore. It was had blood gushing out of a hole in its neck. Next to it she saw a strange creature standing beside the body. A blade came out and its arm and was dripping with blood. She held her breath, trying not to make a noise. The creature said seemed so be saying something to itself. Rainbow Dash could feel that she needed to exhale but did her best to keep it in. The creature swung its blade in front of it twice, getting the blood of it and then Rainbow watched as its blade shot back into its arm. She could not hold her breath any longer and exhaled. The creature froze turned it head to look in Rainbow Dashes direction. Rainbow Dash saw what looked like a red line staring at her. The rest of its head had seem to disappear as Rainbow's eyes adjusted to the red light. The two stared at at each other for a while. Rainbow didn't move, not even blinking. She wondered if the creature and seen her or not.

After was seem like forever Rainbow Dash heard Twilight and some of the guards calling out her name. She turned her head to where she heard the group and look back at the place where the creature was standing. It was gone. Rainbow Dash could not understand it. She had only looked away for a second and it was gone. "How fast is that thing?" she thought to herself.

Rainbow Dash flew back to the group. its was easy to spot from the sky being that it was the only spot light up. Aside from a strange orange glow she could see in a distance away.

"You guys, you have to come see this!" she yelled to the group.

"Where were you? We thought you had been attacked again." Twilight said ignoring Rainbow Dash.

"That doesn't matter right now, seriously you have to come see this!!" Rainbow replied in a rush. She led the rest so they could what see just happened. The group followed her to the spot were she had seen the fight. There lied the dead manticore. Fluttershy's heart sank. "What could done something like this to this poor animal." The manticores stinger had been cut off and there were cuts all over its body.

"A better question its how did this happen." Twilight said as if she was correcting Fluttershy. "From what I've read, manticore have no natural enemies or predators. They aren't very territorial either and even would hunt together when they found prey that was hard to catch or dangerous." Twilight said inspecting the body. "What ever did this used a weapon. Only dragon claws are naturally sharp and strong enough to cut through a manticore shell." She pointed to the stinger that lay next to the manticore.

"I think I saw what did it" Rainbow yelled out. "Its was big and it stood on two legs instead of four. It might have been a dragon. But it had no tail and it had one weird, glowing, red eye." Rainbow continued to explained. She told the rest everything that she saw. Including the part about what she now thought was a claw shoot in the creatures arm.

"I don't think a dragon would do anything like this, there isn't a dragon lair for miles and dragons are well known for being passive creatures. We best be keep our guard up. We are almost there so I would like it if everyone kept quiet until we get to the finally stopping point." Luna ordered.

The group continued moving. Almost all of them kept eyeing the trees and paths around them looking for what ever killed the manticore. Rainbow Dash kept a close look out from the sky. The only one who had seemed to keep her guard down was Fluttershy. She was in far too deep thought to pay attention. "Did Siege do this? Was there really something that could be so cruel yet sound so kind?" She thought to herself.

The group stopped for a moment as 2 of the guards looked at the map they were given. "She source should be somewhere around her princess." On the guards told Luna.

"I guess that means we can start getting the camp set up." Luna said in reply. Everypony gave out a sigh of relief. They had been walking for a long time and there hooves where hurting.

Fluttershy decided to make a different meal this time composed of a seasoned salad and baked potato's. This would be there last big meal before they had to cut down on eating. There were running low and she didn't think that a group that large could live off of forest berries for very long.

Luna had enjoyed the next meal Fluttershy had made just as much as the first, demanding again that Fluttershy give her the recipe to what she had made. Everypony else seemed to like it a lot. Fluttershy told Twilight about the food issue and Twilight told the rest. "I hope we find that the source of the light soon, I wouldn't want to have to send anyone back through the forest to get food." Luna saided. She thought that there would be enough food for everyone. "I will see if I can get Tia to said some supplies here, once the sun has raised."  

Most of the ponies were preparing to go to sleep aside from about half of Luna's royal guard. They took the new possible threat very seriously and set up guards around the entire camp. Unbeknownst to them, two pairs of eyes had been watching them. It was the surviving manticore. They were furious about the fall of there ally and were hungry. They had followed the ponies since the ponies encounter with there dead friend and prepare to take revenge on anything they saw as a threat. One of them roared as they charged the camp.

[I'm just gonna keep putting this down here. Thanks for reading. This chapter might have been filled with more mistakes than normal. I'm a little sick and haven't been getting a lot of sleep lately but I still have been doing my best to preread over and over trying to find any mistakes. I'm still looking for prereaders and have had some succes but it would be nicer if i could have people available when I am. If anyone find any mistakes could you maybe copy it and pm me with it so I can fix it? Might be asking for a lot there... First conflict

The group started to panic. The guards prepared themselves and formed a wall of metal armor in between the camp and the manticore. Other guards started waking the very tired ponies.

The manticore closed the gap between them and guards and began circling the camp looking for any weaknesses in the guard formation. The guards responded quickly by making a circle around the camp, spears prepared. The ponies heard moment through all the trees around them.

One of the manticores took a swipe at one of the guards. The guard dodged and responded by thrusting his spear at the manticore only to have his spear knocked out of his hooves. The other manticore saw its chance and jumped over the guards trying to get at the small group of ponies inside the circle. Guards started moving back the second manticore, Trying there best to protect the princess Luna and the 6 others.

Rainbow Dash quickly jumped in front of the manticore. "Bring it on, I'll beat you no prob!!" She yelled and then began to buck the manticore.

The manticore roared in anger and Rainbow Dash stopped out of pure fear. "Maybe this wasn't such a good idea." She said to herself as she turned around. The manticore prepared to strike Rainbow Dash but then mid way in froze. The ponies looked in confusion as the manticore slowly fell to the ground. it had a hole in the back of its neck. A large blade sticking out of his left glove. It came out at the beginning of the top of his wrist. The blade was as long os the first half of his arm and ended with a curved point facing downwards.

As the group looked up, they saw a strange creature standing on its back. Fluttershy recognized it as Siege.

"Rest in piece, creature of anger." Siege said to the manticore. He looked up to see red lights all over the trees looking down on the group. Some of the guards formed a circle around Siege as he jumped off the manticores body. Thats when the group of ponies noticed all the red lights in the trees. Rainbow recognized them immediately. She had seen one of those red lights looking at her when she had seen the fight earlier.

The sun started to rise and the ponies could clearly see Siege and strange robotic type creatures in the tree. There were tons of them, all staring down at the group. The manticore saw it just to late as one of the robots jumped down and stabbed the manticore in the back. More of the robots started to jump down some landing on the manitcore as it roared out in pain. The roars quickly stopped.

The group stared in awe with mouths wide open. They had no idea what just happened. Fluttershy suddenly became very confused. Who where those others and what did Siege have to do with them. She had tears in her eyes. She had seen to much suffering during this trip and it was getting to her. The next thing she heard was Siege's voice.

"So you've found me." He said with a small smile on his face. "You.... are.... Ponies, if I'm correct." He turned to the group of ponies. "You should probably leave." He said with a kind voice, trying to stop the panicking. "Little Fluttershy, would you be oh so kind as in the tell them what I just said? Fluttershy, looked at the rest of the group. They all had a confused look on there faces.

"What did it say Fluttershy?" Luna asked. "It said we should leave." Fluttershy said with a quiet voice. The strange robots walked closer. The guards closed there circle further making it harder for the inner group to see the robots. Rainbow Dash flew up a little to get a better view. She could see something in side the robots. The things inside the robots looked like Siege only wearing white. You could see small pieces of face near the head.

"There's something inside the robots!" She yelled. "Its an exosuit." Siege replied only to get a confused look from Rainbow. "Little Fluttershy, Lead your group out of here, Quickly!"

Fluttershy got a scared look on her face. "But I'm not the leader, princess Luna is." The confusion inside the group grew. They could not understand Fluttershy or and strange creature that stood before them.

"It doesn't matter little Fluttershy, you must not see what happens here. Your time has not yet come, and I will not let you hurt until you are prepared." Siege yelled. Fluttershy let out a squeak and turned to the group. "We have to leave now!" She said raising her voice.

The group could see the panic in her eyes and listen to her. They grabbed anything the could and ran. The robots let them pass without a problem. There priority was Siege.

The group kept running for a few minutes and then stopped. Chaos and panic took hold of the group. They where all yelling at each other. Some of them began yelling at Fluttershy. "What where you saying to that thing and how in the world could you understand it?!" Some of them yelled. "I...... I don't know." She said, starting to cry. She couldn't handle the stress.

"Please ponies, Stop yelling at her. This isn't her fault!" Twilight yelled in vain. The group didn't stop.

"SILENCE!" Princess Luna shouted. This time the group stopped talking the moment Luna spoke. "This was not Fluttershy's doing and you will not place the blame on her!"  The group fell silent. "I need to speak with my sister right away." Luna finally said. She seemed to evaporate into smoke and disappeared from sight. The group sat there for a moment trying to understand what happened. Twilight was the first to break the silence.

"Wait a minute, wheres Rainbow?" She yelled out with a worried voice. During the chaos Rainbow Dash had sneaking out of the group and went back to were she the robots and Siege were. She was to curious to just run away and wanted to find out what was going on.

Meanwhile, The tension was growing at Siege's location. "Your not supposed to be here, Cell. You think we hadn't prepared for this?" Siege said to the robots.

"You abomination. Your existence is a sin!" One of the robots yelled out. "We will destroy you and your empire!" Another shouted out."

All of them began to attack. They readied there blade as they jumped at Siege *Maximum speed* Siege Ran at two of the robots, Killing the men inside before the hit the ground. There suits and bodies slowly began to evaporate as they hit the ground.

This is the point where Rainbow Dash returned. She hid in a bush and watch the fight unfold.

Blade after blade came only to be countered Siege. Many of the robots arms and legs hand been cut off by Siege. Some of the robots changed tactic returning the blade and aiming there arms at Siege but Siege was quick to react. *Maximum Armor* The voice sounded. Loud bangs could be heard making Rainbow Dash flinch.

The bullet hit target but to no use. Rainbow Dash could see the area's of skin that had been hit grow back and quickly. Before the wounds had healed Rainbow saw a strange black piece of something under the skin the looked like black clothing Siege had been wearing. Siege ran up to the robots as they continued firing. Rainbow noticed the Siege was moving much slower than before, but still worked with the same lethal consequences. He impaled the robots as they fired. Some hit each other in a panic trying to keep Siege away. Siege had already destroyed and kill 17 robots within a five minute period and there also a few left. The last jumped at Siege in a desperate attempt to kill him. Siege grabbed something of his belt and through in on the ground. The air quickly filled with smoke and Siege seemed to have disappeared a together. The last robots looked around but saw nothing. They heard a slicing noise as the one in the back of the group fell down. They turned around only to have two more of there comrades fall the the ground. They started talk to each other. One tried to run away Whilst the other waved there blades around trying to hit the invisible threat.

It swung its blade and the blade was blocked by some invisible force. There appeared Siege. The robot tried to swing it other blade at Siege but it was too late. Siege drove his own blade through the skull of the robot. It shook for a second and stopped moving. The other robot fell to its knee's and awaited its fate. Siege walked up to the robot bowed slightly showing honor towards his defeated foe. Instead of killing the man he just tore the mans helmet off and looked at the mans face. Siege could see the courage and sorrow in the mans eyes. Instead of killed the man he just knocked the man unconscious.  

Siege then turn his a attention to the final robot which was no to far off. His exosuit had malfunctioned and was having trouble lifting its weight. He turned back to see all his comrades dead. He watched Siege pull his blades back in and pull a gun from his belt. The robot quickly began to try and run but his fate was sealed. Siege fire three shot all hitting mark in the back of the mans head.

Rainbow Dash had a look of awe and horror stuck on her face. She had just watched the ruthless murder of what seemed to be living robots. There was still some smoke in the air and she looked at all the bodies lying there. Some had already completely evaporated but most still lay there, disappearing into the air.

Siege pulled his hood off and smiled. This was his first encounter with any Cell forces since he had been awakened. It had gone far better than he had excepted looking at his suit. It seemed that the Cell group stationed on this planet never expected the to be a guardian and they had only sent grunt forces to defend it. Which was a good this meaning they didn't know that there was intelligent life on the planet.

He turned his attention to the little cyan pegasis that had been watching the fight. He pointed to the direction that the group of ponies had gone to and moved his head signaling to follow. At first Rainbow didn't know to do but then decided to listen the Siege and follow. The walked towards the place where the ponies had stopped. Rainbow Dash lead whilst Siege walked behind. This was when she noticed Sieges mane. It was pitch blank, short and messy. "Probably from the hood." She thought to herself. There was silence at first but Rainbow could not stay quiet for long.

"That was awesome what you did back there." She said the creature walking behind her. It smiled and continued to walk. The conversation was one sided as Rainbow re-explained everything that she saw. She saw that the creature probably understood her and continued undisturbed.

Siege continued to listen proudly. He had never gotten a complement for doing things like this other than his name nor did he ever really get complements and decided to enjoy every moment of it. It had been a long time since he had heard a friendly voice. He had been stuck in his chamber for a long time.

It took about 20 minutes to reach where the rest of the ponies had stopped and the had all since calmed down. The first thing Rainbow saw was some guards looking around. They were probably looking for her. She didn't exactly tell them she had gone and they must of sent some of the guards to look for her.

"Hay guards, I'm over here!" She yelled waving her hooves. The guards looked her and immediately saw Siege stand behind her. They ran up to Rainbow Dash and put themselves between her and Siege, There spears ready to strike. Siege laughed a little. It was funny for him to see two small ponies pointing spears at him.

"Its okay guys, hes with me." Rainbow said proudly. She really did think that Siege was cool and didn't have any issue with what he had just done.

Siege was surprised that she said that, let alone in that manner. "This ponies definitely is confident." He thought to himself. The guards hesitatingly lowered there spears. They all walked back to the the stopping point of the ponies. They had already set up camp and were resting.

"Where were you!" Twilight yelled out to Rainbow Dash. She was very angry. "We thought you had been killed or something!"

"It's okay Twilight. They didn't do anything to me." Rainbow dash said trying to calm twilight down.

"Wait what do you do you mean 'they' didn't do anything to me? Twilight asked.

"Well when you were all yelling at each other I kiiinda went back to see what would happen." Rainbow Dash said. Her face had gone a bit red and she didn't make any eye contact with Twilight. "Speaking of which, look who I brought with me." Rainbow said with a grin on her face. From behind a tree Siege popped up. Everyone froze except for Rainbow Dash.

The guard that where not still with Rainbow rush up to the unwelcome guest, spears ready, circling Siege. Siege couldn't help but giggle a little. He still thought it was funny.

"WHY I THE WORLD DID YOU BRING THAT HERE!!" Twilight yelled. "Didn't you see what it did to that manticore?!?!"

"I did and I think it was pretty cool, anyways hes fine." Rainbow Dash replied. Siege was surprised that the little cyan ponies trusted him so much.

"I agree with Rainbow Dash." A quiet voice said. It was Fluttershy. "Not the manticore part but that hes safe." She continued.

"Fine, he can stay but if he tries anything!" Twilight said. She was trying to calm down but was still far from happy. Fluttershy thought this was a bit weird though. Normally Rainbow Dash would be the untrusting one and twilight would be the one introducing new ponies to the group.

Fluttershy was not the only one with a strange look on she face. Siege was yet again surprised by the little ponies before him. He was surprised that they where deciding his fate, Right in front of him without even knowing who he was, other than Fluttershy of course.

It was at that moment that princess Luna returned. She had gone to her sister to tell her of what had happened and to ask for more supplies to be sent. When she saw Siege she became some what enraged to say the least. Her horn started glowing. Siege was next to start glowing in the same color. Luna was trying to force him to the ground. Nothing happened and Siege began to walk up to Luna. She looked in awe at Siege and tried even harder to keep him away. His hand started to glow a reddish color as he walk up to Luna. He put his hand on her head and she relaxed. Her horn stopped glowing as he said "Its okay, I'm not the one you should be fearing." A look of awe came over Luna. She understood what he had said.

"What....... what did you just do?" She asked, eyes wide. "I taught you to speak as I do." Siege replied. Luna looked at the other ponies. All of them either were scared or confused about what had just happened.

"How did you..." Luna stuttered  "How did you do that? do that. And where did you learn to use magic?" Luna asked. She was shocked.

"So you call it magic. How funny. I simply attuned myself to this worlds energy, just as you have." Siege replied. I admit it took a very long time to do so, but i know see that it was worth it."

"But then how did you stop my magic?" Luna asked. She just couldn't understand what just happened.

"Again, quite simple. You sent a wave of energy at me just now. All i did is alter the wave as it moved and rejected it. I'm surprised you can't do that yourself, but from what I've seen today, you ponies are full of surprises. Good and bad."

"I must tell my sister this." She thought to herself. "There is no need to." Siege said. "Wait you can read my mind." Thinking it instead of asking out loud. "Indeed I can and last I remember you can too." Siege thought back. "But is looks like we have company." Siege continued to say, out loud this time.

Princess Celestia floated down in and in a burst of light appeared before the group.

Twilight gasped and then bowed. "Princess Celestia!!" The rest of the group followed and all but princess Luna and Siege where bowing. "Tia what are you doing here?" Luna cried out.

"I'm here to welcome our guest." Celestia said looking at the creature before her. "What a lovely welcoming party. I didn't think I ment that much to you." Siege replied with a little grin on his face. "I'd love to say in chat but there is something that must be dealt with first. Make your questions quick, time of the essence."

"What is your name and what are you doing here?" Princess Celestia Began.

"My name is Siege and I am here to protect this system and all who live in it. Well almost all at least."

"Where did you learn to use magic?"

"As I told your sister, I simply attuned myself to this worlds energy."

"How long have you been here?"

"About 60 years, give or take a few months."

"Final question. Was it you that caused the energy outbursts we have been seeing?"

"No Princess, for that is the reason I stand before you. Now I will be off, you will get the rest of your answers once my mission is complete. Thank you for your time but i must be on my way." Siege ended with a smile.

At that point Siege took a few steps away from the camp and suddenly disappeared.  

The group of ponies stop trying to make sense of the events that had just taken place. Many of them had had a sleepless night and they where looking for any place to sleep.  The two princesses walked away to talk, as all the ponies started following asleep. They slept soundly but many questions still lingered.

[ I understand I'n really mixing things up now and it is quite possible that I'm rushing a bit. Sorry if things where just pushed to far to fast but I'm only doing what I think is right for the story. Thank you for reading and if you found and spelling or grammar mistakes then I'm sorry. History lesson.

[This is a good old history chapter so you can see how things got to where they are now. Its got some basic information on  Siege and the nanosuit as well but not really that much. Its the least I can do to help you understand the story a little. I hope this doesn't confuse you any further than I probably already have. I originally was going to at this into the chapter before this but thought that it would be just to much so i decided to make it its own chapter.]

A chamber as it was called, was a large pod used by Siege's corporation to transport guardians such as himself to planets that were near war zones. If the planet had intelligent life on it, his corporation would send a single guardian to the planet to protect it from the Ceph and cell a like. Cell being a group that had rebelled during the war against ceph on earth many centuries ago.  

The humans defeated the Ceph and stole or study the alien technology. Quickly discovering something along the lines of a warping device. The humans recreated and used the device to start colonizing other planets using newly designed exosuits modeled from Ceph grunts armor to protect them from the harms of space. Designing new suits for different purposes and  then they began gathering resources to rebuild earth and expand what would become a great empire.

Cell was a group that had all there power taken away from them after the rebelled against Crytek, the makers of the nanosuit which had save the humans from annihilation against the Ceph. They considered anyone who supported the nanosuit a lesser human and saw the people who used them as abominations that needed to be killed on sight.

Two distinct nations formed, One led by Crytek. They saw there selves as the savors of humanity and did most of the rebuilding on earth. The other led by Cell. A group that saw themselves as the true humans and fought many wars to take back there birth place, Earth.

After about 300 hundred years. The 2 empires had advanced in technology faster than the rest of human history combined and had colonies spreading far and wide. The had a weak alliance with each other and had also formed some alliances with other alien empires. Though how they had formed them was quite different. Cell, seeming themselves as the only pure and true life in the universe chose to enforce relationships with other civilizations with the threat of war and slavery as punishment if they did not accept. Any resistant was quickly crushed. Crytek chose to be more friendly offering protection and resources in exchange for there help. It was when the Ceph returned that chaos broke out in the universe. They had returned wanting revenge for the fall of there colony and were ruthless, wiping out entire planets in a matter of day. The alliance Crytek and Cell had crumbled and large wars broke out across the universe as  the 3 nations fought over control.

it was during this time that the guardian program started. A plan was to keep any planets inhabited with life hidden from the eyes of Cell and the Ceph alike. Using jammers and hacking into enemy systems they where able to successfully hide many of the planets from enemies forces but with one issue. As intelligent life that had inhabited many of the planets continued to technologically evolve and reach there own space stages. When they did this they quickly were spotted and either destroyed or allied, Forced into the war that was being fought, often unprepared. Another problem they found was that if these planets just happened to be found they would also be forced in to the war. In this case the planet was quickly eradicated because it was seen as weak and was very hard to defend.

That when Crytek started recruiting the people known as Guardians. A group that used the latest Nanosuits and had been train since birth to defeat attacking enemies or when the time came, help the civilizations prepare of hide from the ongoing war. These Guardians would be sent in chambers kept a sleep but still very conscious until the time came in which there assistants was needed. As time passed, suit updates would be sent out to the guardians as so to always keep them at the top, to insure success.

Planets with confirmed Guardians were almost also ways avoided by Cell and ceph alike. Guardians were known to take down entire attacking fleets if it deemed necessary in order to protect there assigned planets. The planet systems quickly also began to be avoided. Crytek quickly to honor and advantage of this assigning systems instead of planets. The project lasted close to 600 hundred years, without fault. Going through the ups and down of the war. It seem as if the war would never end. At the moment everything had been going good and Crytek was at the peak of its power.

It was during this time that Siege was born. He was son of the head of the guardian program. His mother and father were very proud of what they had accomplished a move him into the program as soon as he could walk. So thought this was unethical but all were ignored. Siege quickly gained a name for himself. He had ace every simulation he had been in and gained the name Siege because it seemed he could defeat entire fleets and destroy planets with out even breaking a sweat. What made him even more special is that he did all this without a nanosuit of any type. He easily beat all the others the trainees in the program and even his teachers could not beat him.

The thing that further set him apart his sense of honor. In all his simulations and battles he fought he would always let those who had shown honor in battle but accepted there defeat live, no matter if it was Ceph or Cell.  whenever anyone tried to correct him on the matter saying that those enemies would be up again soon ready to kill again, he would just say that they had fought there battle and were done. Though unbeknownst to Crytek, many of the cell soldiers that had left alive, quickly left the army they had fought in and either join the ranks of Crytek of began new lives in the inner systems that had been left untouched by war. Siege knew this and honored it.    

Siege was 19 when he got his nanosuit. It was the best developed suit they had and the first the grew into the skin instead of sitting on the outside. Allowing Siege to keep his hair and human appearance. Though he could have had is suit work automatically, he chose to use his suit manually being able to activate any mode on spot and we was able to mix modes more easily, increasing inefficiency even further. It made him the ultimate warrior. The suit was customisable in its appearance and Siege made in look somewhat like an assassin from an ancient game that was found on earth a few years earlier. He also customized some of the weapons he had seem on the game to better suit him. Using bombs and large hidden blades together with a pistol and knife, just in case.

He had three different blade types in his disposal, A large hooked blade used for stabbing and throwing any enemies that came out on top of the wrist, A Smaller Straight blade that looked somewhat like a Roman short sword in design used to cut and stab through enemies as the came at him, It was the strongest blade so he could use it to parry incoming attacks. The last was taken directly from the game. A small blade that came out  from underneath the wrist used only to catch an enemy by surprise.    

After he had gotten used to the suit and its features, he was sent to his system. It was a system of great importance due to a rare energy that was detected on it. The ponies knew this energy as magic. This energy was powerful enough to rival Ceph generators and needed to be kept hidden and protected from all three nations. The people who worked on the guardian project where the only ones that knew of this energy and knew that if anyone else found out such a power existed it could mean  horrible consequences for the universe and all who lived in it.

Once he had reached the planet he lied there. For about 60 years he lay patiently. The planet was on the edge of the Cell empire and it would not take long to discover. It was a short wait in comparison to some other Guardians, who hand waited hundreds of years before they hand been awaken.

He had used this time to attune himself with the strange energy noticing that even the sun and moon would be moved by the strange energy. 9 years before being awakened by Cells presence in the system he made did what he thought might be needed, fearing that he alone would not be enough to protect the system. He asked that something along the lines of an armband be made, containing a replica of his suit. He also ask that a new chamber be sent, not to keep a Guardian asleep, but rather to make a Guardian. Once a creature of choice set foot in the chamber and activated it the creature inside would turn slowly turn human and be able to use the suit. He called this creature, his "Successor" meaning in that if he would be defeated, the system would still have a protector.

The heads of the Guardian operation loved this idea and quickly began work on both armband and chamber. They called the new chamber design "Option" because it gave a choice to both Guardian and successor whether or not they want to change. It didn't take long to make both armband and chamber and were both sent to Siege's system four years later. In that time, Siege had used his new found attunement to the strange energy and searched for a someone that would be worthy enough to call themselves a Successor. It didn't take long for him to find one, Fluttershy. He deeply honored her selflessness and also grew to like her cute reactions towards things.

He slowly changed the very way Fluttershy's brain functioned, adding new connections and preparing her for the moment when they would meet. He taught her to understand and speak his as he did masking it to make it seem like it was the same language and locked it away so that only a key could unlock her new found knowledge, which came in the form of some whispers. He spent a lot of time mastering this art as so to use it late.

He was able to learn the pony language through Fluttershy but due to the state he was in could not learn to speak it. That would have to come later.

He was awakened when a mining fleet of Cell came into orbit and launched a mining station deep within the Everfree forest. Siege had no idea why they didn't see the settlement on the planet but used that as an advantage. He sent the whispers to Fluttershy awakening her ability to understand them and to the princesses which he had found after looking for a large source of strange energy. He knew that they would send in an expeditionary group to find what had been messing around with the natural  energy so much.

It came as a surprise that the princesses never felt the new entity tuning into there energy any earlier when it seemed that they were so attuned to it themselves.

Once the group entered the forest, he kept a close eye on them. Keeping them safe as they made there way through the forest. He stopped once Cell spotted the group. Thats when he started blocking all communication between the station and mining fleet. They started to study and defend the group in place of Siege, though the secret defense force was far from hidden. They killed or tried to kill anything they thought was dangerous to the new intelligent species they had found, Which led them straight into his trap. Once the trap had been sprung and the enemy defeated, he collected information from of the suits. He was able to find out where the mining station was located and who was running it.

He was going to use this information to destroy the mining station but it didn't stop him from trying to get friendly with the indigenous species that lived here including the one he would name successor.  

Mining facility.

[ This part of the story focuses on Siege and the completion of his temporary mission and will have nothing to do with the ponies. Just a quick heads up.]

Siege continued walking. He heard a the voice from his suit he had been waiting for. *Energy Critical* A few moments later he became visible again. He had stayed in stealth mode until his energy ran out to insure that none of the ponies had followed him. He had collected the final pieces of information he needed during his fight with the Cell grunts.

"Judging by the class of troops sent here , there must have been something worth protecting. Though at the same time it was not something that important. I should have known what it was just by seeing those troops." Siege thought to himself as he continued to walk towards his destination. It had found out why the Cell where here. A large mining station had been set on the planet. This made things much easier for him. All mining stations based on class where identical in layout and defense. The amount of guards placed was also close to the same, give or take a few.

With this knowledge he planned out his attack strategy. His suit held all the station info and he could map out the routes that he would need to take to disable the station. This was not the first time he had taken out a mining station but it was the first time he had to leave it intact. If it was destroyed it could cause devastating affects to the surrounding area. He would had already jammed all communications to the outside world as to keep reinforcements from coming. Mining stations where common through out the universe and empires didn't care if one or two where to "Disappear", whether is be by there own hands or by another. Hiding the station from the rest of the universe would be easy as long as he defeated all the living defense.

It didn't take long for him to find another patrol of grunts. They where in what looked like a swamp and where being attacked by some slime like creatures. He went back into stealth and slipped by. "There fight is there own." He thought to himself. Though the grunts looked like they were going to lose, Siege made sure to tract them just in case they found a way to kill there slimy foe. He did so via his in Suit binoculars or Binocs as most called them. If they where near his suit would highlight there bodies meaning even if there were behind a wall or hiding in trees he would have no problem disposing of them.

Siege made sure to track any patrols he saw. He needed the element of surprise if he were to take out the mining station without anyone escaping. There where many fights going on between the Cell patrols and the creatures of the forest. The forest was not happy with its intruders and was doing its best to wipe them out. There were all kinds of creatures fighting to reclaim there forest. Siege saw more of the slime creatures attacking, Strange lizards spat a fiery liquid at the patrols melting through there suits like a knife through butter. He saw more of the creatures that he had come to know as manticore attacking the patrols, in much larger groups then the group he had seen attacking the little ponies. He has seen what also seen what looked like bugs, big and small. All kinds of bugs attacking as one destroying and in some cases even eating the patrols. There was even a what looked like a giant lizard with four heads rampaging and destroying entire patrols without any effort. So much wanted Cell gone, which was an advantage and a disadvantage. This meant that most of the forces would be on patrol but at the same time reinforcements would have been called in almost as soon as the facility had been placed and there defenses would have been heavily tightened by now.

As he continued too the facility and finally saw something that could be used to great advantage. A Cell officer. He could tell it was one based on looks of the exosuit he wore. His suit was larger than that off the grunts and was heavily armored. Instead of using arm blades or guns, officers would use large pistols like weapons and oddly enough a large sword. The sword was a sign of honor and only given to those who had performed large feats in battle. His suit only had two weak points, A cooler on the back and a small open area under the neck allowing it to move freely.

Officers held almost all the information considering unit placement and formation. Being able to take the data before the suit was destroyed would help Siege greatly forming a new plan to attack the mining station. There was one small issue Siege had to keep in consideration. Officers suits are designed with a thermal detectors, making a stealthy advance almost impossible. He would need to work fast if he was going to take out the officer without him alerting any allies in the area.

Siege got as close as he could and swapped modes. *Maximum speed* Siege shot out at the officer. His suit energy was depleting quickly. Before the officer had any time to react Siege jumped up and released on of his blades. He was aiming for the weak point under the neck.

"Bulls eye." He said smiling. He hit the center of the neck dead on. The officer fell back. Siege kept the blade in his fallen enemy for a moment giving his suit time to break any security codes any transfer the required information. "Perfect." He thought to himself. Once again he could form a plan to wipe out the station and disable it. He checked through the information and found the formation layout. What popped up was a real time screen of all active patrols. The troops where show and arrows on the screen. There ranks where show in color, light green being grunt, cyan being officers and blue being commanders. It also showed located enemies, marked at red arrows.

The station had been surrounded by red arrows. They Cell forces where being wiped out in mass by the forest.

"This will be easier than I thought." Siege said grinning to himself. He didn't normally like watching any group we wiped out at mass but he did see honor in the forests abilities to wipe out an army far more advanced. He turned the files off and continued of his way.

He plotted out a safe path to the station and used his time to think about other things. First of all he wondered why he and the ponies had only been attacked twice but the creatures of the forest. He understood why they had been attacked but the ponies had made there way past many of the creatures now tearing there way through Cell forces. "I guess it might have something to do with there and my attunement to the natural energy. The Cell broke that flow and the creatures could have sensed that. It would also explain why there was a civilization here to begin with. These creature were easily tearing through The Cell forces which where thousands of years ahead in technology then the ponies that I had seen." He thought to himself. "They really are full of surprises."

It took him a short while to reach the mining station. The sun started setting. "Perfect. Now things will just get easier." Siege said with a grin. He loved an easy job. Thought a good fight here and there helped him keep his skills honed.

He found a spot to wait and scope out the station double checking all the defenses just in case the had changed anything. The station was large. It had a mechanic wall surrounding A large spire in the center of the station. The spire held a large drill which was used for mining. No guards stood on the wall. They didn't because otherwise they would be killed by the auto turrets place inside. They detected all kinds of things from heat to sound. It was almost impossible to get passed unless you knew how. The had a safety feature in which after being activated they would have a 5 second cool down to keep from over heating.

He waited until they swapped shift before making his move. The first thing he did was find a small stone and through it towards the base walls. When the stone was about halfway through its flight 2 large turrets popped out of the wall. We swapped to speed mode and quickly moved right to the edge of the wall where the turrets sensors just barely could not reach.

Siege released his 2 largest blades with the hooked ends and clawed his way up the wall. There he was met with his first problem. The turrets would activate if anything such as insistence a bird or a stealthy nanosuit warrior as much as touched the top of the wall. This was the first time he had to beat the turrets without destroying them so he had to get creative. Then he came up with an idea. One after the other he moved his hooks to form a V shape above him. He switched to strength mode, which was his least favorite mode and rarely used it. He then proceeded to Pull himself up, simultaneously Pulling his blades in flinging himself up. By keeping his had on the edge of the wall he was able to give himself a good arch formed jump over the wall.

"One challenge over." He thought to himself. He check his info again to double check any patrols inside the station.. There was four places he needed to go to before the slaughter could begin. He didn't like the fact a slaughter would have to be carried out but failure was not an option. If this planet was rediscovered by the Cell or Ceph then it would be doomed.

The first place he would need to go is then drill. He would have to disable it without anyone noticing. Next he would go to the prison block. Quite often people could be found there willing to fight to regain the freedom. Next he would need to go to a barracks to suit up any prisoners that he might find. This was optional considering he could do the mission on his own but never gave up a chance for people to show there honor. Enemy or not. Last he would have to go to the command center found in the deep beneath the spire. This is where he found be able to revert the auto turrets inwards. They where designed that way so that if the any enemies where able to get past the walls in mass, they would still be endanger of being gunned down by the massive auto turrets. This design was a double edged sword because it could easily be used against them if an enemy could sneak past there defenses. Though this rarely happened and they kept the design.

He would also find the commander somewhere inside the spire. Even in the simplest of outposts there was always a commander placed. The where suited with a exosuit that could easily out match and soldier using the avarice nanosuit and had the training and experience to fight without. Siege had only fought a few real commanders but had battle quite a dew in training simulations. What made the real ones so much harder was that no two where alike. The exosuit was just a customisable as his own and 2 fights where never the same. Fighting a commander was the most dangerous thing Siege had ever done and he enjoyed the challenge as much as he could.

Step 1 was easy. The patrols where thin and Siege could easily find hiding spots for when his suit energy ran out. Once he found the control panel for the he simple corrupted the programs used to operate the drill. It had not been used since Siege had jammed the transmissions to the mining fleet.

Step 2 came with some problems. There where 3 officers together with some grunt patrols inside the prison. Siege would have to take out all the enemies without alerting the base. His first job would be to take out the officers. He just happened to have something to do the job. They where small devices with a sinister use. Once placed on a enemy they would hack into the suits system finding and activating there disintegration codes. It was a quick but very painful death as the suit destroyed the suit and user. Disintegrating the suit was a method of hiding information if a soldier of either Cell or Crytek had been killed or captured and could be manually activated by user of commander to hide all information the user or suit had. During this sequence all information on the suit would be erased. Making it very hard for either Crytek or Cell to obtain information from each other.

He planted each device onto the officers backs, where there thermal sensors could not see and activated them. Next he ran to one of the guard stations an activated there lock-down mode. Making sure to disable the alarm. Any grunts stuck inside where doomed from that point. Siege hunted them down one by one as they tried to find a way to escape. It was like a horror movie only with less blood and a lot more panic.

After taking out the last of the grunts Siege found his way to the prison cells. He found only one prisoner. As he opened up the cell he saw quickly saw who it was. It was the grunt he had spared. The grunt looked up from his bed and saw Siege looking down on him. The prison cell was small and only had a small bed and a toilet.

"Are you hear to finish me of?" He said with a emotionless look on his face.

"Far from it. I let you live because I respected you." Siege replied. "Now, how would you like to earn your freedom?"

"Whats the catch?" The grunt asked.

"You will help me find your commander."

"Fine I will help you but under one condition, you have to get me off this damned planet." The grunt finally said.

"The sounds like a deal to me." Siege said. He started smiling.

There was a small security barracks at the far end of the prison which held a spare exosuits and weapons. They where designed better than that of the grunt suits. Only a small group of guards ever normally worked in prisons so they needed and could afford to make the suits better in the case of an escape or riot.

The grunt quickly put the suit on and grabbed a few weapons.

"Say what is your name your name, grunt?" Siege asked.

"My name is Joul toth, But whats it to you?" Joul asked in return.

"Well I can't get your paperwork prepared without a name, can I?"

"Paperwork.... for what?"

"So you can become a citizen of Crytek."

Joul smiled somewhat, It was the first bit of good news he had heard in a long time. Many people like him were forced in work by the Cell higher ups. If the citizens did not accept, then they would be killed or worse. He was happy to know that he still had a chance for freedom and a new life outside of Cell's rule.

Siege saved joul's suits disintegration code so if his new found ally betrayed him, he could be removed or when Siege activated the mass code Joul would be spared. But he could only get this code if you could defeat the commander that lie under the spire.

It was easy getting Joul through the base. His suit granted him access to almost the entire base. Siege followed close behind as they went into the spires bunker. There where many rooms and could hold the entire stations work force. Though at this time is was quite empty due to and only a few grunt guards where seen here and there.

"This is the commanders quarters." Joul said. If he is not in the command center then he will be here. They quickly moved to the command center which was found at the deepest point of there bunker.

It didn't take long to find the entrance. There before them stood a giant metal door. it what designed to withstand some of the most powerful bombs and explosions ever made. Oddly there was no guards placed. The where only two ways to open the door and the way Siege had to made him feel as if all his hard work sneaking around was for nothing.

The only way to open the door from his side was to pull the fire alarm. It would automatically open the door but would set off the alarm and sprinkelers, making his stealth mode useless and alerting all patrols to return. "If this is what it takes then I will do it." Siege thought to himself.He then proceeded to activate the fire alarm.

He walked up to the door as it opened and was met with gun fire.

"We've been waiting for you." A voice came from the other room as the gunfire stopped. Siege had managed to  hide behind the door as it opened avoiding most of the gunfire, his suit absorbing the rest.

"You think you could get this far without us catching on to you?" The voice continued.

"Yes, I did. This is quite a surprise." Siege said in replied. He through some smoke and EMP bombs. During the chaos he ran in and took out as many guards as he could. There was quite a few officers inside but with there exosuits temporarily disabled, they became easy targets. As the smoke disappeared Siege could see the rest of the guards as well as there commander. There commander was wearing a exosuit designed for close range combat. It had large think metal sheets places at the end of each limbs. There where used to block incoming blades and bullets. The commander had a large sword and an assault rifle. On his arm sat a battle grapple. I what used to either get around quickly or hang from a roof. It could also be used as a weapon and could be used to throw something or someone with little effort.

The last guards prepared to fire. "Stop, hes mine!!" The commander yelled.

"Arrogant fool." Siege thought to himself.

The commander pulled out his assault rifle and began firing at Siege. Siege countered by swapping from armor mode and speed mode in rapid succession so he could avoid as much damage as he could, jumping from wall to wall looking for his chance to attack. That chance came when the commander started to reload. Siege jumped at him and swung his blade down at the commander. The commander instinctively dropped his gun and pulled out his sword, barely blocking Siege's blade as it came down.

"Your better than you look." The commander said as Siege jumped back. Siege Dashed towards the commander and swung at him again. He was aiming for the hand holding the sword. The commander blocked the first swipe but could not avoid the second blade. A large gash was left in the commanders arm plate. It was not thick enough and some wires hand been cut in the arm. The hand went limb and the commander was forced to use his sword with the other reducing his own strikes and blocks. He swung his sword at Siege, who easily dodged the attacks as they came.

Siege switched his focus and aimed for the weak center of the suit. Every time the commander made a wrong moment, Siege would strike at the suits center but something was keeping him from doing damage. Finally he got his chance and was able to get a clear shot at the commander but as he tried to stab the center an odd force pushed the him back with drastic power.

Siege was sent flying into a wall. "Ha, you think you can win this?" The commander taunted. In all the fights Siege had fought he had only seen this happen once before. During a assault on Cell base the, turrets in place had been able to repel almost and missiles and explosives shot at them. Bouncing some of the missiles away. He had heard rumors of an energy based shield that cell had been testing. This must have been a personnel shield. He would have to use an EMP bomb against the commander. There was only one problem. His suit would also be deactivated during this time.

He took his chances and prepared a EMP bomb in his hand. If he struck whilst using the bomb he could build up enough momentum beforehand to pierce the commanders suit. Siege dashed at the commander again rapidly attacking to break its defense. He saw his chance as the commander started to stagger. Siege began striking movement and half way through activated the bomb. Everything went black for a moment as his suit reset itself. Once his visor had turned back one he looked down and the commander. He was still breathing but his fight was over. Siege began transferring the data.      

Joul had taken care of the remaining guards during the battle a was watching the door.

"The reinforcements are back." Joul yelled out to Siege.

"It doesn't matter any more." Siege activated the Mass code. Joul looked in horror as he watched people who had been his allies turn to dust. They were yelling out in pain but quickly became quiet.

"I hope I never have to seen something like that again." Joul said.

"You won't have to. A transport ship is coming to pick you up." Siege said with a smile. He quickly check though the formation data and found no survivors. In an instant the entire station had been completely wiped out aside from Joul. He was not proud with himself. He knew that most of those soldiers were forced into work and hated the fact that he had killed them. "But if it meant the safety of this system, then so be it." He thought to himself.

Siege started to fully shut down the mining station. All the lights turned off and there was a brief silence.

"I hope you can have some way of seeming in the dark." Siege said to Joul.

"Don't worry about me, this suit has thermal vision." Joul replied. "I can see everything fine but it will take some time to get used to."

Siege and Joul slowly walked up and out the spire. Siege was glad he didn't have to turn to plan B and activate the auto turrets. Then there would be far more carnage and chaos. Not only that but he would have had to hunt down all remaining soldiers. Luckily that was not the case.

The two sat there for awhile in silence as they waited for the transport ship to arrive. It didn't take long for it to arrive. Even though this system had been so close to the Cells border they never detected the ship. Siege and Joul said there final goodbyes and the transport was on its way. Bringing a newly free man to his new home. Siege was happy about this. He was at least able to spare one man and give him a new life.

Siege waited for a moment and then started his way back to the ponies little camp. They needed answers and he had them.

This story really does seem like its swapping from fantasy to sci fi but don't fear, more magical awesome is on its way.

Here is also a little bit of information so you can see the difference between Cell's exosuits and Crytek's nanosuits.

Crytek use nanosuit with use tiny machines to enhance all the user basically turning them into a superhuman. The suits are made with different modes to fully enhance one of the humans natural abilities or to make them invisible or bulletproof for short periods of time. These modes can be mixed but require far more energy and skill than using a single mode. Speed mode and cloak are suit modes only given to secret ops and higher ups. All suits merge with the user making it impossible to completely remove them but there also able to keep a soldier from dying even when they should have been long dead. Even if the outer suit is removed the inner suit can never be removed once it has been activated.

On  the other hand you have Cell which use an Exosuit (Exoskeletonal super Suit) as there primary armor. It enhances the speed and strength of the user and is much cheaper to make. The exosuits vary greatly depending on rank and training. The basic suit is used by the lowest ranked soldiers dubbed grunts. As the ranks go up so does the protection and uses of the suit. The most powerful suits are used by soldiers dubbed generals. Though they don't give any of the main orders and tend to only lead small groups of highly trained soldiers. Commanders Are the highest ranking Units in command. They give all orders during battle and all have the own unique suit designed to there own preferences.  

I hope this info helps you readers understand the difference a bit better. So good news in I got a prereader. I will be posting the chapters based on my own prereadings but with update them once the prereader has filtered through the chapter. I don't know how long this takes how ever....

Reintroductions.

[Yaaah, back to ponies.]

The ponies slept peaceful through the day and night. Through exhaustion they had slept deeply and were protected by the two princesses and Celestia's guard, though no danger appeared. Fluttershy awoke to ponies packing up. Though she didn't know where princess Celestia's guard or the carriages came from but she didn't question it. She was just happy to leave the forest. She missed angel and hand was pretty stressed from everything that had happened.

"Oh, Fluttershy. Your awake." Twilight said. "Sorry if we had woken you up. Good news is we're leaving the forest soon." She continued with a happy smile. Twilight wanted to get out of the forest just as much as the rest.

"Its ok Twilight, you didn't wake me up." Fluttershy said as she got up. Her legs hurt from all the walking but not that much.

"Wait, why are we leaving. We haven't found anything other than Siege and...." Fluttershy stopped talking as Siege walked up to her. He had his hood off and was smiling at her. For some odd reason, Fluttershy was happy to see Siege but she had no idea why.

"Its nice to see your awake." Siege said. "I hope you slept better then I have." It had taken Siege almost all night to find the camp and only got about a half an hour of sleep. He yawned and Fluttershy got a good look at his teeth.

She had never seen teeth like that before. It was like teeth from all different kinds of animals had all found there places. The first pairs of teeth looked like that of some rare fish that would use there teeth to slice through there prey. There were four on the top jaw and 4 on the lower. The next pairs where pointed like that of a dog only small. Right after the pointed teeth came some teeth that looked like a mix between the pointy ones and grinders. The further back in the mouth the more flat the teeth became.

"Say..... uuuum Siege... What do you eat....? Fluttershy asked hesitatingly.

"Well just about everything. Just about any kind of meat, fish, fruits, vegetables. Really i guess it matters more on whether or not I like it but i rarely don't like any kind of food.

Fluttershy gave him a fearful look. Siege started laughing. "Don't worry, the last thing I'm gonna do is eat you, your friends, or any of your pets." He said trying to control himself. "Speaking of food, when was the last time I ate." Siege said finally after  calming down.

He didn't need to eat because his suit would preform a kind of artificial photosynthesis and absorb the needed vitamins and minerals from his surroundings. He could even stop breathing if he wanted to. Eating was a luxury to him but he could still feel hunger from time to time.

"If your hungry then you could have an apple. We have some left."   Fluttershy said. "You do eat apples..... right?"

"Yes I do and thank you." Siege replied. It amused him to see Fluttershy's reactions. "Come to think of it. This place is strangely like earth. The plant and animal life is close to the same. Except for a lot of the things living in this forest and of course, the unicorns and pegasi."

"Earth....? Whats that." Fluttershy asked.  

"Oh Earth, thats where I come from. Siege replied. Fluttershy felt a rush or air come past her only to see Twilight sitting next to her with a huge smile. For Twilight it was one thing to read about the origins of cities or animals, but to have a strange new alien creature tell her was something she could only dream of.

Fluttershy flinched at Twilight reaction but didn't let out a squeak or jump away. She was really getting so control over it.

Siege gave a confused look and continued. "Anyways, Earth is the planet I'm from and is the home planet of all humans. Did I forget to tell you I'm human? I can't remember..."

Twilight's smile had somehow grown even larger. "What is it like on earth?"

"Well to be honest I don't know to well for myself, I have spent most of my time training in space stations or in battle far from earth but I will tell you what I know. From what I have heard most there still cleaning the place up. The last war earths seen had some very devastating affects and we have spent generations trying to heal the planet. A buildings are found deep underground as in to keep from affecting the outside world and is has been doing good healing. Mother nature really always seems to find a way but a little help never hurt."  

Twilight was still smiling but had a bit of a blank look. She was a little bit confused and disturbed how Siege was able to talk so openly about war. Talk of war on Equestria was very rare and was handled very carefully. Even in all the books she hand war was rarely spoken of and most all details were left out.

She work up the courage to ask about it. "What is war like.....?" She asked Siege.

Siege looked at the expression of Twilight's face and smiled abit. "I'm glad you know so little about it... I would rather not tell you or at least wait until all the commotion is over. What I will say on the matter for now is that war can be very bad and good at the same time. It destroys lives and takes them away but at the same time makes new ones and urges people to live on."

Twilight frowned a little but understood. Siege smiled a little but Twilight could easily see the sorrow in his eyes so didn't even think about asking further.

Meanwhile Fluttershy was tearing up. The look of sorrow in Siege's eyes had gotten to her and she was trying to fight the urge to cry. Siege walked up to her and put his hand on her shoulder. "Don't cry for me please. I would rather you be strong for me than pity me." He said with a smile.

Fluttershy calmed herself and took a few deep breaths when a sudden realization hit her. "How can you understand Siege?!"   She said explosively only to take a few shy steps back of considering what she had just done.

"Oh that, you know what Siege had done to princess Luna? Well Siege did that with us and princess Celestia too." Twilight told fluttershy, trying to hold back some pent up reaction of excitement. "He didn't do it with the guards though. I don't know why yet though but I heard is was for some safety reasons."

It didn't take to long to pack everything up and everything was being set up on the carriages. Luna would lead her and Celestia's guard out of the area by foot but the mane 6 and Siege would be transported by the flying carriages straight to canterlot. Or at least thats what Celestia wanted.

"I don't want to be ungrateful or anything but I would rather travel on foot. Don't worry though, I don't think I should have any problem keeping up with those carriage things anyways."

Celestia looked at Siege with a look as if she thought he was crazy. In fact, he was a little crazy but not someone who lied about such things. "I you sure you want to do that?" She asked.

"Don't worry about me." Siege said in reply. "I have had to do worse things than this."

Suddenly Rainbow Dash popped up from behind one of the carriages. She had clearly been listening on there little talk.

"We could make it a race!!" She yelled out. "Once where out of the forest you can already see Canterlot so I don't think you could get lost."

"Canterlot.... where have I heard that before? Oh well, thats not important. A race would sound great." Siege said in reply. He needed a little bit of friendly competition for once.

"Don't think I will go easy on you though just cause your new!" Rainbow yelled out.

"You won't have to." Siege replied. He was starting to be a bit hyped out himself.

"Well in that case, I guess we will see you at Canterlot." Twilight ended.

Once the carriages started moving Siege and Rainbow Dash started there race. At first Rainbow thought it would be easy. "There no way he can beat me. He doesn't even have wings and he think he can out race the fastest pony in Equestria!" She thought to herself but was quickly proven otherwise. Siege moved with great speed through the forest never slowing down. He didn't have to use any suit energy on any modes other than speed and sometimes he had to increase his strength here and there so he could avoid the trees and such but was so efficient about it that he would probably not need to stop.

It didn't take long for the two to reach the edge of the forest. Only Ponyville and grasslands stood between them and Canterlot. Siege slowed down to give Rainbow Dash the lead to see which city she was flying to and he quickly saw it. It was a city connected to the side of a large mountain. Even from here he could see the beauty of the city. Though he still felt like he had heard the name Canterlot somewhere before and now also thought he had seen it before but he didn't dwell on it too long. He had slowed down and Rainbow Dash was gaining distance. He no longer needed strength mode and quickly regained the lost distance.

Meanwhile Rainbow Dash was flying at near max speed doing her best not to tire as she flew. She couldn't believe that Siege was able to keep up so easily. She had never seen anything like it before. Not even Siege believed it. He had ran before but never this fast or long but now was not the time to try to understand and explain it. There was a race to been won.

Both racers had almost reached the Ponyville and Siege had to change tactics. Once the the first buildings started coming He quickly jumped and using his hooked blade got on top of the buildings, jumping from building to building in order to avoid the public.

As he jumped the ponies looked on in awe watching Rainbow Dash and the strange creature speed through the village. Most  didn't even realize anything had happened at all. It didn't take long to get through the village. Both Siege and Rainbow were getting tired but kept on going.

About half way through they decided to take a break and talk a little bit.

"You really are a fast little pony, Rainbow Dash." Siege said. "I never thought that anything your size could move so fast for so long."

"Well I am the fastest flyer in Equestria. I'm the only pony to every make a sonic rainboom, twice!" Rainbow Dash replied proudly.

"I don't want to sound weird or anything, but what is a sonic rainboom?"

"You don't know what a sonic rainboom is?!? Its when you go so fast and just happened to be colored like me you make a sonic boom and a rainbow at once!"

"Care to show me?"

"Well I kinda only managed it by luck... What about you, can you do anything special like that?"

"Well I don't know about a rainbow but I have broken the sounds barrier before, wanna see?"

"Sure, that would be awesome." Rainbow dash ended there little chat as Siege stood up.

Siege calmed himself completely relaxing all his his muscles and taking some very deep breathes. He breathed in deeply, filling his lungs completely and the released all his energy. he took to steps forward and was already in a full out sprint. after about 2 seconds a loud bang was heard and there was dust flying around everywhere. Siege was only able to keep running for about 6 seconds before slowing down and collapsing. Even though he had only ran for about 10 or 12 seconds but have already covered a huge distance.

It took awhile for Rainbow Dash to find Siege.

Siege sat up when he saw Rainbow Dash and yelled to her.

"Over here Rainbow."

Rainbow Dash saw him and landed next to him.

"So how was it?" Siege asked.

"That was great. I've never seen anything like it, how do you do it anyways?" Rainbow asked.

"Well all I really did was relax myself and store up as much physical energy as I could then release it all at once. It gave me enough speed to pop right through the sound barrier but only for a moment."

"Maybe I should try that some next time I practice.

Both of them sat there for a while and waited on any sigh of the princesses and the carriages. It gave them a long time to rest and prepare for the final stretch to Canterlot.

"What do you do outside of helping your princesses and race Rainbow? Siege asked.

"Well I'm head of the weather patrol in ponyville." Rainbow answered.

"That being?"

"Wow you really don't know a lot about Equestria."

Rainbow explained to Siege about how the ponies would take care of the animals and weather. She also talked about how the princesses controlled the sun and the moon. Siege found this strange considering that the planet have a normal path around the sun as well as there moon around the planet. The one thing he did find that was odd was the irregular rotation of the planet. It might of tricked the princesses into thinking that they where moving then sun and moon when they where really just moving the planet, which on its own was still very special.

In return he explained things about the universe, though keeping a lot secret. He talked about the 3 nations and there specialties not once mentioning war or fighting. He did however explain about the strange energy and way to control it. He talked about how he had been stuck in his chamber and what he did to pass time.

After a quick nap Siege awoke to Rainbow shaking him. "There they are we need to hurry and start the race again." Rainbow was partially yelling but trying to be a little quiet as in not to startle him or anything.

Siege stood up, stretched and prepared for more running. The ponies in the carriages passed overhead and waved. Siege and Rainbow waved back smiling and started the race once more. This time the on other ponies were clearly able to see Siege and Rainbow Dash moving. Once both human and pony had gotten to a good speed the other ponies mouths dropped. They rarely saw Rainbow moving at such a speed but Siege was easily able to catch up it seemed.

"I never new land animals could move at such speeds." Twilight said watching closely The thing that surprised her even more was the fact that Siege was making long strides instead of quick leg movements. This means that he was not even going at full speed but rather trying to maintain his speed. She wondered if Rainbow was doing the same thing or not. Its harder to tell with pegasi because you can't keep track of wing movements at such speeds.

Rainbow flew over to Siege. "We are almost there, lets make this last part a sprint." Rainbow said.

Siege nodded as Rainbow dash went back up. Siege prepared himself for the sprint as Rainbow Dash started raising her height. She was going to try and do what Siege had said to break the sound barrier and Siege saw this. Both of them focused and started slowing down a bit focusing all there energy into one last burst of energy. Twilight and the rest watched, wondering why they had slowed down.

Both Rainbow and Siege looked at each other for a second and nodded. Suddenly two large bangs where heard and a large blast of air hit the carriages shaking them violently. Rainbows ears where ringing from the sound and looked back slightly to see if she and succeeded. Behind her she saw a colorful rainbow behind her. She smiled proudly. "I need to thank Siege for this later." She thought to herself.

The other ponies mouths opened wider than ever before. The only one who was not looking in awe was princess Celestia who just smiled slightly. "Motivation and help leads to great things." She thought.

Both Siege and Rainbow started losing speed and fast but where able to make to the steps of Canterlot before taking the chance to sit down. A couple minutes later the carriages showed up and the ponies got out.

"Do who won?" Twilight asked

"We decided that it was a tie." Rainbow replied.

"I can't believe you where able to do a sonic rainboom but how did you manage it? Didn't you need to be going almost straight down to pull it off?"

Rainbow looked at Siege and looked back. "Lets just say a got some good advice." Which was basically true.

Princess Celestia walked up to the ponies who had all stood around Rainbow and Siege. "You have some time to looked around the city before our meeting starts. Me and Luna have to prepare. Siege you can look around to if you don't mind some strange or fearful looks inside."

"Thats fine with me. I've been getting strange look since I got her anyways. I wonder what they have to eat." He said smiling.

The 7 walked around the city and just as Celestia said Siege got a lot of looks with mixed reactions. Some ponies just stared, others looked away and tried to avoid Siege whilst some just ran away. The guards stationed around the city kept a good eye on him as they looked around. Siege saw a very high tower up ahead and walked towards it.

"I wonder what  it would be like to look down on the city from there..." He said to himself.

"If you want we can ask if we can go to the top." Twilight said. Her words had gone unheard though as Siege was already making his way up the side of the tower.

"You're not aloud to do that!!" She yelled to him. She was lying though, there where no rules about climbing on and around buildings mainly because it was near impossible to do but Siege on the other hand with his fingers and hooked blades scaled the building as if it was nothing.  

He reached the top and just stood there for a  moment. He could see almost the entire city from here and could even see a few cities and villages in the distance. This would not be a moment he would forget any time soon.

"You have to get down from there!!" Twilight yelled at the top of her lungs. Siege looked down to see the tiny pony yelling at him. He laughed and jumped down. Twilight and the others held there breath for a moment as he fell.

"Could you please not do that kind of stuff anymore." Fluttershy asked. Her heart seemed to stop for a moment as he fell.

"For you, sure." Siege replied with a little grin.

They continued looking around and then got some food. Siege was surprised to see just how many sweets and cakes that were sold but decided to get something simple instead. He bought a blueberry muffin and sat down with the others. He thanked Applejack for the money he had lent to get it. The little Pink pony that he had learned was name Pinkie Pie came of the store with tons of cakes and cupcakes. She finished everything faster than Siege finished his muffin.

He wondered how she was able to eat so much and where in the word the ponies kept there money. They didn't have and bags on them and he could seen no other place where the could have other than there mane. He came up with a simple answer. "Its magic." He didn't know how they did it any decided to leave it at that.

They finished there food and started walking to the castle. Siege hoped that the princesses and ponies wouldn't ask to much. He would rather they live in an ignorant bliss than hear what was going on outside of there little planet.

The princesses where waiting for them as they reached the doors of the castle. They lead him and the little ponies to a small room.

"Let the questioning begin." Princess said with serious look.

Sorry if you didn't like the fact I've have been putting a lot more focus on Siege and Rainbow Dash lately but i will start shifting it back to Fluttershy and so chapters about Twilight soon. I don't really have much else to say but i hope you look forward to the next chapter.]

Moment of regret and rejoice .

"You will have to answer each and ever question honestly. If you feel you can't tell the truth then you don't have to answer. Am I clear?" Celestia said.

"Very, anything else I need to know?" Siege asked.

"No, shall we begin?"

"Okay."

"First of all. What is your name and what are you doing here."

"My name is Siege and I am Guardian of this system and I am tasked with Defending and hiding this system from my faction and its enemies. My secondary mission is to keep all Factions from discovering a strange energy held within this system."

"How old are you?"

"Well physically and hormonally I'm 19, But I'm 79 in lifespan."  

"Why does our "System" as you call it, need protection and what is a system?"

"A system is a group of planets rotating a star and my organisation is trying to keep more Intelligent life from being force into our war, or wiped out." Siege said this without sign of emotion.

"War...... How long have you and your nation been fighting?"

"Since my nation has been fighting hmmm..... well Its hard too say. We have been fighting for more than a 1000 years, but to give an precise time would require so more research, which is something I rarely do. How long I've been fighting in this war. Well considering my age right now. I'd say about 15 years now. All I really remember is training for battle and then battling later on in my life."

"You said you have been in Equestria for 60 years now. Why show yourself now instead of long ago."

"Well I have been sleeping, technically, for about 60 years time in what is a called a chamber. I'm still conscious inside but have little awareness to the things around me. I was awakened a few days ago due to the threat of Cell discovering intelligent life here."

"What was "Cell" doing here what is it and what happened to the ones found on the planet?"

"They had set a mining station down by chance. They are a rival faction to that off mine." Siege looked down breaking the eye contact. "My job was to eliminate them without doing harm to the planet."

All the ponies in the room where shocked. Though the look of princess Celestia and Rainbow Dash changed from shock to understandment. He had only done it to protect them and all the other living creatures on there little planet, not only that but Rainbow Dash watched part of it happen. It was a harsh reality.

Celestia hesitated for a second before asking.

"Have you succeeded in your...... Elimination..........?"

"Yes......"

"I think we have had enough questions for now." Celestia ended. She could see the pain in Siege's eyes and decided that digging deeper would only lead to more pain for him and shock for the peaceful ponies.

"You are welcome to stay here in the castle for a while and when you are ready we shall continue our questioning."

Siege nodded and then left the room.

"Twilight, you and your friends may also stay is you so choose, I think it may help Siege handle all this. I can see his heart is heavy and we need to help take some of that weight off." Celestia said.

Twilight looked at the rest. They all nodded and Twilight turned back around. "We will do it, princess!"

Celestia Smiled and the ponies walked out of the room. They found Siege looking out a window.

"Are you okay?" Fluttershy asked quietly. Siege turned to her and nodded. "I just needed some time to think. Anyways enough about my problems. Where do we sleep?"

Fluttershy and the rest followed Twilight to there rooms. This was not the first time she had stayed in the princess's castle and knew her way around. She showed them which room they would be staying in. There were six beds in the room, each with there own closest next to them. It was a large room with a bathroom next to it.

"I have to say, I'm gonna miss that forest." Siege said with a little frown.

"Why in the world would you miss such a place?" Rarity asked distastefully.

"It feels more natural and calm. The shadings and colors in the forest give me the feeling I'm home."

Rarity was trying to think of something to say and decided to change subject.

"I must say, your clothing to look quite nice, but don't you ever get sick of wearing them all the time? Don't you wear anything else?"

"Well, I have always liked these clothes, I guess the only thing I don't like is the visor... It doesn't really match but I need it so that I can do my job. Good news it i don't have to wear it all the time, as long as I have it with me." Siege realized that he failed to mention his cloths were part of his suit and that it would be very hard to change them on his own.

At that moment the ponies realized something important. There were only six beds, but there were six ponies and one human now.

"Where is Siege going to sleep? These beds aren't even big enough for him." Twilight said.

"I could just sleep on the floor. Or outside for that matter. One of those grass fields outside would be fine. Having the stars above my head would be nice." Siege said. He really didn't like sleeping inside. After sitting for his chamber for so long, he welcomed the outside with open arms. He even seen a lake with fish during his race with Rainbow Dash.

Twilight was about to say it was okay but then remembered what the princess had said. Instead she would go ask if Siege could sleep in her royal garden. That way he could stay close by and get what he wanted.

"If you wait here, I will see if I can have us both get our ways." Twilight responded.

"Fine by me." Siege ended as Twilight walked out of the room.

The ponies and Siege start a casual conversation which ended up turning into a minor argument between Siege and rarity about sleeping outside. The other ponies just kinda watched as the two countered each others arguments with one of there own.

There argument was abruptly ended by Pinkie Pie. "I completely forgot, I need to prepare a *Welcome to Equestria and thanks for saving us inside the Everfree forest twice* Party."

Instead of acting confused like the ponies thought Siege would do, he acted almost as strange as Pinkie Pie and started talking about the party.

"Will there be some more of those delicious muffins?" Siege asked.

"Ofcourse, there will be muffins and cake and cupcakes, Oh and even a cake made out of even smaller cakes which will be made by even smaller cakes with cupcakes all other it!"

"Each cakes will have to be a different flavor or else you'll ruin the effect!"

Both of them just kept talking about the party and what it would be like even after twilight had returned.

"The only question left is where are we going to throw it?" Siege continued.

"Throw what?" Twilight asked confused.

"His party silly. We're gonna have cake and cupcakes and muffins and they'res going to be balloons and slingers and...." Pinkie Pie said full of excitement.

"I get it, theres going to be party. Wait, why is there going to be party?" Twilight asked.

"To welcome Siege to Equestria and thank him for saving us twice. I mean duuuuuuuuh"  Pinkie replied.

"And your okay with this?" Twilight turn to Siege.

"Of course I am, Who would turn down a party?" Siege replied smiling warmly. He had never experience so much fun in one day. All his time training and fighting meant the only time he ever got to do stuff for himself was during trips from planet to planet.  He was going to enjoy ever moment of his time before a new problem came up. The leaders of the Guardian project tended to drop there problems on the guardians and now that one of there best had been awakened, it would take long for them to start. It helped keep the guardians on the tows and keep them ready for battle.

"Lets just have the party here, in this room." Siege suggested "Its not like tons of pe..... Ponies are coming to the party."

"Thats a great idea, I'll go get the party things!! Pinkie shouted out. She bolt out the door.

"Wait, I want to come with!!" Siege yelled as he rushed out the door after Pinkie.

The ponies left in the room just kinda stood there for moment. This never happened before and they didn't know how to react. Normally when Pinkie got a party idea in her head she would just gasp and shoot off but this time she waited for a moment. Maybe this was her way of helping Siege.

All the remaining ponies found something to do. Twilight went straight to the library. She remembered how Siege was able to calm down princess Luna nullify her magic and even teach them how to understand and speak his language. She was going to do research on the matter and see if there where creatures other than ponies that could use magic, aside from Discord.

Rarity began making drawing oh Sieges clothing trying to replicate and ponify the look. She had taken quite some interest in his clothing and wonder what is would look like on a pony.

Applejack and Fluttershy decided to look around the town some more. Applejack started checking out all the food stores whilst Fluttershy looked around for stores that sold medicine or ingredients.

Rainbow Dash went straight to bed. Her race with Siege had really tired her and she just needed some sleep.

After a couple hours all the ponies except for Pinkie pie and Siege. They were all getting ready for bed when Pinkie Pie came bouncing in, followed by Siege with tons of boxes in his hands.

"Whats in the boxes?" Twilight asked.

"The party stuff that Siege picked out. I thought you were the smarty pants of the group." Pinkie responded Impatiently.

"Well this it the first time you haven't just bolted off and prepared a party."

"Siege is not  a pony, Twilight. I don't know what kind of parties humans like."

"I never thought of like that." Twilight end the conversation. Even Pinkie Pie was getting tired and the rest were all in bed already. Siege set the boxes down next to Pinkie's bed and started walking out of the room.

"Wait!!" Twilight yelled. She almost forgot to tell Siege. "I asked the princess and she said you could sleep in her royal garden. Just try not to disturb the animals too much."

Siege nodded and continued walking. Though she hadn't told him were it was, it wasn't that hard to find. He had walked past the entrance a few times when he was getting everything for the party with Pinkie Pie. He liked her a lot. She was able to turn almost anything into a joke which is something Siege also enjoyed doing. Though he did it in a more subtle.

He looked around the garden. "This is nothing like the forest, but I guess it will have to do."  He looked up at the mountains and saw the peak of the mountain Canterlot was connected to. "I wonder what its like up there." He smiled and started to run. Clawing his way up on of the garden walls and made his way up the mountain. Climbing was one of his big joys and he took every chance he could to climb even when he was in battle using the excuse that he was checking enemies positions. This time he didn't need an excuse though and didn't miss his opportunity.

It didn't take to long to make it up the mountain. He looked down for a moment and everything look tiny. Even the tower he had been on the day before look like a simple dot from his height. Once he had made it to the top something surprised him.

There sat princess Luna. She was looking up at the sky. After all the had happened to her she just could look at the sky the same way. Now she knew that she was for from a lone in the universe and that it was full of life.

"I didn't expect to find you up here." Siege said, making Luna jump a little. She was just as surprised to find Siege here.

"Why did you come all the way up here?" She asked softly.

"I wanted to see as much of this land as I could. From here that would be easier." Siege wasn't lying. He could see the Everfree forest, tons of towns and villages and even some cities of in the distance. Using his visor he was able to get an even easier and detailed view of everything.

"Are you enjoining your stay here in Equestria so far?" Luna asked kindly.

Siege took of his visor and answered.

"I have enjoined it to the fullest so far and I'm hoping to have more fun experiences here. I kinda have to."

"Why is that."

"I am never to leave this system again, it is my duty as Guardian. Even if this planet were to gone down in flames I would stay and protect it. This place is now my home and I will do my best to protect it from all that might stand in my way."

"I'm glad we have such a protector, but don't underestimate me or my sister. We have guided Equestria for a very long time and do not plan on failing it."

"So we are a team then. Oh by the way, this might sound a bit odd but could you cast that spell that you tried to use on my again? It doesn't have to be on me of course but I would like to see what it should have done." Siege asked. He had been able to stop the magic by as he thought of it detuning the wave but he wanted to see if he could mimic as well.

"I don't see why not." Luna replied. Her horn started glowing as she pick up a rock with her magic. it was simple magic that almost any unicorn could do.

Siege focused on what he called the "Tune". He felt the waves of energy like tunes and songs. The more you pulled the strings of energy the more complicated the tune became and if enough where plucked a song would form. He had written his own song by learning how to change the emotional or mental state of a animals but that was all he knew.

He listen to the tune Luna played and replayed it focusing on some other rocks. They glowed deep red and he started lifting them at ease. The more rocks he picked up and the more strings had been plucked. Eventually he had written a new song making the rocks dance around him.

Luna watched as Siege started performing more complicated movements with the rocks. He started move the rocks to make the look like figures. She didn't know why but it kind of looked like the figures were playing out a story.

"I'm very impressed. Never before have I seen someone master a spell so quickly." Luna said smiling.

"I've had a very long time to understand this magic. I just never got to play a new song." Siege replied.

"A song......? What do you mean by that?"

"Oh, its just my way of saying a spell... I cast the spells like one would play a guitar, plucking away at the natural energy."

"But you said you had only been awakened for a couple days now."

"Yes, I have been awake for a few days but I was still able to feel and hear all the things around me. Considering I didn't have much else to do, I would focus in on the strange energy around me and slowly taught myself how to pluck the cords and play a song. It was quite useful to prepare my Successor."

"Speaking of this *Successor* What and who is it?"

"Little Fluttershy is my Successor and when the time comes and she has made her choice, she will become the new Guardian of this system."

"But she is a harmless young pony. Why in the world would you choose her to do what you do? She wouldn't have the heart!!"

"That is just it. She does. In the face of unrivaled danger she has shaken all fears away and confronted the danger. And she does all this without lose her kind heart. She will become a far better Guardian then I every would, as long as she can face the regret and sorrow it brings."

"Would you really do such a cruel thing?"

Luna would regret making that comment.

"Do not speak of cruel. She, nor you have faced what true cruelty is and I pray that you never will! The things I have witnessed and done will haunt me for the rest of my life. All for the sake of overs, not once in my life have I had the chance to change it other than the fact I stand here today. Survival and victory have been the only things I have been aloud to care for! I have watched close friends died or betrayed me, all in the hopes of some ill fated victory. So speak not to me off cruel! Siege yelled full of anger.

"You think I know not off cruelty?!? My own sister banished me to the moon for a 1000 years. Left there without anyone to comfort me or to speak to!! I was left alone with out a hit of life to help me!!" Luna started to cry.

"That was a fate you brought down on yourself!! You think I did not feel as you were released?!? You corrupted the world around you in hopes of revenge and hate only so be saved before doing any real harm!  Feel lucky they where there to save you! You got a new chance at life to redeem for what you have done! I have been given no such chance, nor will it ever come until the final moment, when I fall to my knees and end my use to the universe!"

The look in Sieges eyes changed from anger to full blown regret and sorrow. A single tear rolled down his face. He hated himself for what he had down and regretted taking it out on Luna even more. Siege took a few deep breathes as he tried to call himself.

"I'm sorry." He said. His voice reflected what his eyes were saying. "I'm sorry for everything."

The two sat there for what seemed like an eternity. Both of them regretted what they said, but also felt better just to get it out. Neither of them had gotten the chance to do so before. Luna finally wiped the last of the tears from her eyes and walked over to Siege. Since they ended there fight he had been looking at the sky, Staring at all the stars and moon.

"I'm sorry, I should not of reacted like that to you." Siege said turning his head to Luna as she sat down beside him.

"Be both regretted what we said. I would have not spoken in such a way and a known just how much pain you felt." Luna replied quietly.

The two sat there for awhile making small talk as the mended there emotional wounds.

"There is one last thing you will need to know about what become a Successor means. Once she accepts the duty she will no longer be pony..... You see our suits don't work on anything other than humans, something which is needed if she is going to protect all this which you have guarded for so long." Siege said softly trying not to spark anything.

"Are you saying that she will become like you... A human?" Luna asked with some enthusiasm, trying to stay calm.

"Yes...." Siege replied. "But she will only change if she so chooses. I will force nothing upon her."  Siege said. The look of regret in his eyes was almost gone.

Luna not knowing if to be happy or scared accepted it without any further question. She was finally back to her old self.

"Lets not talk about it any further. If I am correct you have a party tomorrow and we both need some sleep."

Siege nodded. "Thanks for the talk, I needed to get that out." He smiled at Luna who gave a little smile back and they started  making there way down the mountain.

Once down Luna went to her room. She walked past Celestia who had just gotten up. Celestia gave her a confused look but Luna just ignored it and continued walking.

Siege made his way the the Garden and found a nice place to sleep. I laid under a large tree found in the center of the garden and fell asleep peacefully. Yet another eventful night had gone by and as he fell asleep he wondered what life still had left to throw at him before he could find some true peace.

[Thanks for reading (again) I have to admit I got a little writers block writing this chapter but it wasn't that bad and I can promise you that I have most of the next chapter and the chapter after that ready in my head just waiting to be thrown down on paper.

A guest and a story.

Siege awoke to the sight of Pinkie Pie as she tried to wake him up.

"Helloooooooo, Wake up sleepy head. We need to get started setting up the party!!" She yelled.

"I'm up, I'm up! Siege said in return. "What all needs being done?"

"Well we still gotta get some snacks and we have to set up the decorations!"

Siege, now fully awake, got up and followed Pinkie as she bounced away. It was still early in the morning and the sun had only just started to rise. The first thing they did was make there way back into the city. Siege was getting far less fearful looks as he walked around. The ponies were getting used to seeing him or at least that's what he thought. Pinkie Pie rushed into store after store with bags full of food and ingredients. Siege chose not to go into any stores, he didn't want to scare the owners and he had a hard time sometimes getting in and out of the doors. He may have only been a bit taller than the princesses but his body was wider than there so that made no easy way for him to get through the doors made for ponies. He did find it odd how they had circular door handles but no fingers in which to open the doors. The ponies would just push the doors open.

"That should be it!" Pinkie called out to him as she left the final store. "Now we just have to bake some stuff and we will be ready to Party!!"

Siege smiled and they started walking back to the castle.

Meanwhile in the castle Luna had just woken up and was eating. Celestia walked in. "Say what happened last night? I heard shouting up in the mountain."

"Oh me and Siege had a little talk and lets just say I said something I shouldn't have." Luna said.

"What did you say.....? Celestia asked trying to probe for more information.

"I'm not going to give exact information for right now. For now just keep in mind that Siege has a very heavy heart right now and that we need to be careful what we say. Try not to dig too deep into his past."

Celestia was going to do quite the opposite, she was planning on using a more magical method of gathering this time. "I just need a little more information of his background, that is all." She said to Luna as she walked out of the room again.She would make it quick.

As Siege and Pinkie walked through the door, they nearly bumped into Celestia.

"Good timing, Siege may I speak with you for a moment?" She asked. Siege looked at Pinkie Pie.

"You can go talk with the princess,  still need time to make this cupcakes and stuff!!" Pinkie said as she took the bags from Siege.

"Well I guess you can princess."  Siege was suspicious of something. Princess Celestia seem to be acting different from all the times he had talked with her before. They walked to the same room they had talked in before.

"I'm going to be doing a little bit of searching around in your mind." Celestia said.

"Okay, but I warn you. You're not gonna like what you find." Siege replied.

Celestia's horn started glowing a whitish color as she set it on Sieges head. What she saw horrified her. Everywhere there was destruction and death. All but two where dead. One being Siege and the other a women he was holding up by the neck. She watched as Siege drove his blade through the women's chest and then through her to the side. She jumped memories trying to find one that didn't now resemble that first one. The only ones she found where that of a man beating Siege yelling "You have failed, We do not accept failure!!" She didn't find a single good or happy memory. Just death and pain. It was only  when she looked at the most recent memories did that find any good. Siege's memories with the little ponies were the only good ones she could find. Suddenly she heard a voice.

"I told you that you would not like what you found." It was Siege and we was fully aware of what Celestia had seen. Suddenly all the images and memories vanished as she was forced out of Siege's mind. She looked up and saw Siege's hand glowing and holding her horn. "You've seen enough for now." He said letting go of her horn. This surprised her. She knew that Siege could control magic, but to counter out even her spells meant he was either very powerful or understood magic like no one else. In all her time alive Celestia had only seen ponies countering magic after study for what could be lifetimes in which only the lucky learn how to do so.  

"How did you learn to us magic in such a manner?" Celestia asked.

"Wow you ponies to like hearing the same thing over and over don't you...." Siege said. He explained how he learn to control the energy known as magic again but this time put in all the little details. "Now could you tell the others that before I have to? I'm getting a little tired of telling you ponies." Siege said with an irritated voice. He walked away and left Celestia to process everything.

Twilight and the other ponies had just woken up and were busy eating. Siege walked in and said his hellos.

"Good morning, little ponies. He said with a smile.

"Good morning." twilight responded. Siege could see she was dead tired. She had went back into the library in the middle of the night to do some more research. Siege grabbed an apple and took a big bite out of it.

"Now thats a good apple." Siege said as he took another bite. "Say do you know where the kitchen is? Pinkie was cooking something up in there and I'm sure she would like a taste tester." He joked.

"I know where it is." Twilight replied. She should him where it was. When he walked in it was a complete mess and there was a think cloud of flour.

"Pinkie, you in here?!" He yelled slightly. Out of the cloud came Pinkie Pie. She was white as a ghost from all the flour.

"Hi Siege, all the treats are almost ready. You wanna try some?!" Pinkie yelled, she was as hyperactive as ever. Pinkie went back into the cloud of flour and returned with a tray full of cupcakes and muffins. Siege grabbed one of each and found a place to sit. He sat there and watched the cloud of flour disappear as Pinkie finished.

"We can move all this stuff in when we are done setting up the decorations!" Pinkie said as she bolted out the door. Siege got up and finished up his muffin before following.  

The decorations they chose where mostly blue with small pieces of green here and there. It was nothing too special and the two were able to get everything up in no time. As Pinkie and Siege set up the last remaining pieces Fluttershy walked in. It looked far different from what she had accepted. All colors combined formed a calming and more peace atmosphere instead of Pinkies normal parties which exactly made you you more active and hyper.

"This looks very nice." Fluttershy said. She was happy about the feel and looked forward to this party more than most others that he had been too. "Pinkie, I'm surprised you could throw such a party."

"Don't thank me, this was all Siege's idea."  She pointed to Siege who smiled slightly.

"By the way little Fluttershy, there is something I must speak with you about soon." Siege said.

"Uum.... Ok. Why do you call me little Fluttershy... You call the rest by there normal names... why not me?" Fluttershy asked quietly.

"That is in part what i wanted to talk to you about, but we can talk after the party. This is a matter of importance and I would rather speak to you in private about it." Siege replied. Fluttershy simply nodded in return and found a place to sit down.

"Pinkie, could you go get the food? I will go find the others." Siege said.

"Oki doki loki." Pinkie said as she bounced out of the room.

"That pony never seems to leave a room the same way twice..." Siege said. "Fluttershy, if any of your friends walk by could you tell that to stay here? The little party will be starting soon.

Fluttershy nodded as Siege walked out of the room. She started wondering what Siege was going to tell her later. Her thoughts quickly swapped to home. She thought about angel and the rest of the animals that were in her care. She worried that something had gone wrong whilst she was gone. The princess had already written a letter for someone to take care of them in her absence but that didn't stop her form worrying.

Meanwhile Twilight was in the city. She had gone to say hello to some old friends and was walking towards the castle when something caught her eye. She turned her head to a wall and saw something rush behind it. She decided to go check it out. What she saw surprised her almost as much as when she first saw Siege. There lay Heartstrings, who had face planted the ground after falling over her own hoof when she tried to hide behind the wall.

"Heartstrings, What are you doing here?!?" Twilight asked. She was extremely confused. Heartstrings was a friend of her in school and had moved to Ponyville a few months before Twilight. She was always interested in strange animals and mythic beasts and a lot of ponies thought she was a tad bit of the crazy side.

"Well, I guess you could say i was following you... hehe..." She gave Twilight a look as if she had just been caught doing something very stupid. "Also, didn't I tell you to call me Lyra?"

"That's not the point, why are you following me?"

"Weeeeellll, I caught word of a strange new creature following you and your friends around here in Canterlot. I kinda wanted to see it."  

"Couldn't you just ask instead of secretly follow me?"

"Oh come on Twilight, whats the fun in that?"

Twilight was just about to say something when she heard someone calling her name. She listened closer and she could hear it was Siege calling out. She looked around but couldn't see him anywhere. By chance she looked up to see Siege waving from one of the buildings.

"I told you not to do that!" She yelled back to Siege.

"Sorry, but its easier to find you like this!"

"You're twice as tall as us, why would you need to climb a building?!" Twilight unintentionally ended that conversation. She looked back at Lyra who was smiling and bouncing with joy in the Pinkie Pie fashion. This was her big chance to meet a strange new creature and not only that, this one was intelligent, though she did wonder why Twilight could understand it when she had only heard that the creature had been around for a day or two.

As Siege got down from the building, making sure this time not to jump, he saw the strange little unicorn bouncing around as she looked at him with great excitement. He walked up to Twilight who had put some distance between herself and Lyra.

"I feel like I just missed something important..." Siege said with a confused look on his face. It seemed he would not get a day without a special event occurring.  

"Don't worry, you didn't." Twilight said. Lyra gave to two a confused look. Twilight returned the look but Siege understood quite well what the problem was.

"Twilight, you seemed to have forgotten why we can talk to and understand each other...." Siege said. Now Twilight was giving him a confused look. Siege's hand started glowing and he set it on Lyra's head.

"Problem solved." Siege said with a smile as he looked at the new little pony in front of him. "Say what is your name?"

Lyra sat there for a moment trying to understand what just happened before realizing she had been asked anything.

"Oh, Well my name is Heartstrings but i prefer to be called Lyra." Lyra responded.

"Lyra, I like that name. My name is Siege and you have something on your face." Siege said whilst wiping the dirt off of Lyra's  head and face.

Lyra Blushed a little and laughed slightly before realizing something. "Wait why can I suddenly understand you?"

"Magic." Siege replied. He wasn't lying but he did want to see the reaction of a pony after he said it like that.

Lyra just accepted it and swapped from confused and scientific mode to pure excited and hyper mode.

"Oh boy, I have so much to ask you. I can't wait to tell Bon Bon about this. I wonder what it eats and thinks about........" Lyra said. She was talking as fast as Rainbow Dash could fly and neither Siege nor Twilight could understand what she was saying.

"Oh by the way, Siege what did you need me for?" Twilight asked.

"The party of course, Its starting soon and it just wouldn't be the same if we didn't start with everyone.... I mean everypony there." Siege said. This was not the first time he had made such mistakes and it probably wouldn't be the last.

"Well then lets get going!" Twilight said quickly trying to get away from Lyra and her endless talk. unfortunate for her, that would not be the case. She would have Siege to blame.

"Wait on second." Siege said. He started trying to get Lyra's attention. Once he had succeeded he asked a simple question.

"Lyra, would you like to come to our little party?"

He watched the little pony get the biggest smile he had ever seen. It even seemed like her eyes were shining from excitement. "YES!!! I WOULD LOVE TO COME!!!!" Lyra yelled at the top of her lungs. All the ponies in the area heard that and came to see what the commotion was about. Lyra blushed again and walked up to Siege.

"Are you sure you should have asked this? We can't just let anypony come to the castle." Twilight said distastefully.

"Don't worry twilight, one of your princesses still owes me for something that happened today. She can consider this a repayment." Siege replied. Twilight was about to say something but then chose not too. The three of them walked back to the castle. Lyra kept an endless flow of questions coming at Siege and he answered everyone of them. The questions varied from what to he ate to what his favorite color was. (And if you might be wondering what color that might be, its crimson.)

Lyra never lost any of her excitement during the questions even after they had entered the castle. It was at that moment Siege forgot to look for Rarity and Applejack, but as luck would have it, they were already waiting for him and Twilight. They were surprised to see Lyra with Twilight and Siege.

"What are you doing in Canterlot?" Rarity asked.

"I heard there was a strange creature in here and decided to see it for myself." Lyra replied. "And now that creature has invited me to a party." She continued happily.

5 of them walked into the bedroom which had now turned into a party room. All the beds had been placed as in to face a point of a wall making something that looked somewhat like a stage. Siege had a little surprise for the ponies in store. Siege took a second to look at everypony in the room. Twilight had sat herself next to Fluttershy, Pinkie Pie was eating most of the food she had prepared but had set some aside for the rest of them. Applejack quickly joined Pinkie and started eating as well. Rarity was putting something in a box and quickly wrapped in like a present. Rainbow Dash was running in circles, probably out of boredom and decided to sit right in front of him watching his every move like a dog waiting for a treat.

"I have a surprise for you ponies, but you will have to wait until it gets dark so see it." Siege said. The party started calmly as idle chat filled the room. Next the ponies started playing some games an had contests with each other. They started with a cupcake eating contest between Pinkie Pie, Applejack, Rainbow Dash and Siege. At first there was no clear winner but soon it became clear that it would be a battle between Pinkie and Siege. Siege had the advantage of having a larger body meaning he could eat a lot more than the normal pony or human for that matter. Pinkie had the advantage of being hyper and being used to eating so much sugar. In the end Pinkie Pie won, Siege had started feeling sick from all the sugar and surrendered. Pinkie Pie was left the undefeated victor of cupcake eating.

Next they played hoofwrestling. (Arm wrestling but pony style.) This was a battle between Applejack, Rainbow and surprisingly Lyra, who did much better than the ponies expected. She did end up losing but not with out a fight. Applejack ended up beating Rainbow who argued that she would have won had she not had to wrestle Lyra first. Lyra ended up taking this as a complement. At first Siege did not want to do with but Applejack insisted that she wrestle him. He ended up beating her but kept saying it was because of his suit and let her have the victory.  

The next game was a odd one. Then somehow they decided to play the silent game. Everypony played with. The idea was to sit as still as possible not making a noise unless it was breathing or scratching. Pinkie Pie and Rainbow Dash quickly lost. Pinkie was suffering from a sugar rush and Rainbow Dash was just to bored to keep playing. Next Applejack and Lyra were out follow by Rarity and Twilight. It was a battle between the naturally quiet Fluttershy and the ever so patient Siege.

After almost an hour the group decided that it was a tie just because it looked like the two could go on forever.

After some more chit chat a new surprise popped up in the form of the two princesses joining them.

"I didn't know you liked a good party." Siege said jokingly as the two walked in. Luna laughed a bit and sat down. Celestia, also found a place to sit down and noticed Lyra.

"I don't remember her being here." Celestia said.

"I invited her to the party, the more the merrier right?" Siege replied.

"I guess your right, but could you tell me next time?"

"I wonder if there will be a next time, I only let her come because you owed me."

Twilight had a shocked look on her face. She was surprised and worried about how open and friendly Siege was with the princess.

"I owed you, why would I owe you anything?" Celestia continued.

"You poked around in some places that I held deep and hidden. Not something that should just be done without permission or true idea of who you are dealing with."

"I guess you're right...." Celestia ended. There was a brief moment of silence before Luna got up. It was time for her to raise the moon.

"Its almost time for the surprise." Siege said with a smile. Luna started to raise the moon as Siege got up and collected some streamers and confetti. At the same time he made sure to listen to Luna's song as it play out. He would not use it himself but it might be handy to know, just in case.

As the sun had finally set Siege blew out all the candles. He wanted to make sure the ponies focus would be on him.

"Well here is my surprise to you." Siege said. "You know that I have been in war, but not all my life has been about fighting my enemies. I'm going to tell you about a time in which i was sent to rescue someone from a planet many could only dream of going to." Sieges hands starting glowing together with the streams and confetti. He would use them to play out his story.

"This place I had to go made the most powerful warriors shake, For it had one of evolution's most dangerous animals to date. They lived for millions of years and predate even our Ceph enemies. We called them *Dinosaurs*." Siege began to explain how a program had been started to bring the animals back, but then backfired as stations were wiped out due to the scientists working on those stations underestimating the intelligence of the animals they where holding. The story was a bit dark, but the ponies interest in the story only grew as Siege explained further. Even Fluttershy who would normally be scared, was listening carefully.

Siege talked about how a small civilian craft had crash landed on the planet and why Siege was sent on a rescue mission to begin with. One of the people inside was a large a big supporter of Crytek and his family was with him. Siege was sent when he was 14 with a squad of men. The squad was mostly contained with rookies and one person that had a large knowledgeable about the species on the planet. He was a fanatic and wouldn't stop saying that the needed more people and better trained people at that. "If only our commanders had listened...."

He talked about how they had already almost been wiped out after only a day, because to of the rookies decided it would be fun to cook some meat, attracting a pack of what he called "Raptors". This was a time before he had his suit and he had to fight off what was apparently there pack leader, with only a knife and his hands, because after killed the animal and almost getting killed himself the rest of the pack left.

Siege continued on how they finally found the supporters family but how he had been killed by and strange group of creatures not even the fanatic knew about. A large group of the civilians had been killed in multiple attacks but somehow the mans son and daughter managed to survive it all.

Siege continued on how he found out that the raptors had been following them the entire time but not once attacked. He explained how the fanatic told him about the method of the raptors survival and when they saw intelligence and strength in an animal after there leader had died, that they would follow and try to prove themselves to the creature in one way or another and seeing as in how Siege killed there first leader. They would probably follow him until they had left the forsaken planet.

Next he talked about how they met up with a surviving group of scientists and hunters who had gotten trapped on the planet and how the group had been attacked for the second time by the raptors. This ended up being a good thing because the second group was in the middle of trying to kill Siege and his group when this happened. From that point on the raptors traveled with the group.

The fanatic went crazy excited from this being that now he could study the group of raptors up close and safely. They learned just how start the raptors really were, The had there own language, ranking and a diverse social life between each other. Some even swore they heard a raptor try and sing along with one of the songs they had played. As they finally reached the ship, then raptors did something which only caused more awe in the group. They gave the Siege an egg and left as if knowing that the humans were leaving. The fanatic decided to put a tracking collar on one of the raptors and went back to the planet many times after that.

Siege ended his story talking about the hatching of the egg and where the little raptor was now. The little raptor only proved further how smart the raptors were and has become the star of the the research facility which had later proved that raptors are naturally smarter then most other intelligent life.

The ponies sat there staring at all the little figures as Siege ended his story. The loved the story, though it scared them a bit that it was a true story. Lyra loved it the most, she already loved stories and myths about new and strange creatures so to her a story about some by which itself was a new creature, only made her going into a hyper mode that even made Pinkie look calm.

After a large period of question answering from all the ponies, they finally ended the party.  The story had taken up a large portion of the night and all the ponies where tired. Pinkie was the most tired of all. Her sugar rush ended with a crash as she fell asleep on the spot.

As the ponies prepared to go to bed after moving everything to back into its rightful place, Siege told Fluttershy to follow him. The walked to Celestia's garden.

"Fluttershy, I sill keep this simple.... You are my Successor." Siege said.

".......What is a Successor?" Fluttershy asked confused.

"If I die or can no longer fight to protect you and your system. You will be the one to take my place."

"What......... why would you chose me? I couldn't hurt a fly and your asking me to do what you do..... Why not chose someone like Rainbow Dash? She watched you kill and still thought you were cool and she loves fighting or challenges..."

"Because she doesn't have the heart to do what needs to be done. I know of what you have done. You have stood up to problems that would terrify you without fear or regret. You have protected your friends when all hope was lost. That is why I chose you. Because you show that you can be the kindest thing in the universe but still have the fire to face down a dragon. That is what a Guardian must do. Protect, not fighting for your own pleasure or goals but to keep those around you safe."

Siege smiled at Fluttershy when he said this. He was proud of her for being this way and respected it above all else.

"You already know some of the downsides of this duty and it will change you in many ways, some physically and some mentally but trust me, your heart will never change and this is what will drive you into the greatness that I will not be able to achieve."

Siege sat down near the tree he had slept under the night before and looked up at the stars. Fluttershy walked up to him and sat right up next to him. His words made her feel much better but the idea that she might have to take a life scared her. She thought about everything Siege had just said and wondered what he meant about physical change and decided it would be better if she just asked.

"What do you mean by, changing physically?"

"Well, there is a nanosuit prepare for you but they only work for humans. At the point were you and only you choose to become the new Guardian, A chamber will open. Once you walk in it, it will genetically change you, and after a few days, you will be human. Some see this as a blessing others as a curse, but when it comes down to it, it will always be your choice." Siege replied.

This actually made Fluttershy a bit happy. She liked how Siege looked and wonder what she would look like as a human.

The two sat there for awhile and Fluttershy had ended up falling asleep. Siege took Fluttershy inside and set her in her bed. He heard a whisper calling his name.

"Siege..... Siege..... come here." It was Rarity. Siege walked over to Rarity and quietly asked what the problem was.

"I forgot to give you this at the party, I made it with some help from Luna and Rainbow." Rarity handed Siege a small box. He opened it at found fingerless glove and a necklace. The necklace had a red gemstone connected to it via a little gold casing. The glove had a same looking red gem in the center of it. Surrounding the gem was a symbol. It was a like a compass with a strange arrow facing in each direction surrounded by a circle.

"It should help you with your control of magic and if i do say so myself, It matches your look.  Rarity whispered with a smile. "Now go before someone wakes up." She said.

Siege quickly left the room and tried on the glove and necklace. The necklace fit perfectly but since he was already wearing a glove he had a hard time fitting the second one of. He put it on his left hand and put on his visor. He started going through the data files of his suit and found the appearance files though he didn't know how the program worked he did know that there was a file used to fuse or swap clothing. That way he would have no problem wearing the glove and even if it got damaged it would simply be repaired. These to items were some of the few gift Siege had ever gotten and he made sure they where protected. After finally finding the program and activating it he watched as his suit began scanning the items. He watched as his old glove started disappearing and the new one fusing to him.

It didn't take long for the necklace and glove to became part of the suit. He looked at the glove under some light and there at the rim of the glove said the words. *Crimson Bolt.* "Hmm, Crimson Bolt. That sounds rather nice." He thought to himself.

When he got back to the garden he got the call he was fearing from the day he was awakened. It was a job call.

"Siege I see that you have awakened." Said the person on the other side of the line. We have a double job for you. nothing you shouldn't be able to handle though one of them might get on your nerves if your that kind of person."

"Oh boy, what might these jobs be? Siege asked.

"Well the first one is simple. There are some people calling themselves hunters who are against our little protection project. We are routing them to your system. Here's the catch and the second job. We don't want you removing them unless necessary.

"Why is that?"

"We have been getting problems with one of our recruits. She is a young talented fighter and will be getting her suit soon. The only issue is it has gotten to her head and she needs to be taught some discipline. Her parents entered her into the program sometime ago and are some heavy supporters of the program. They wanted her to be trained by the best possible and your awakening has proven useful in timing. She will be there in about 15 hours. The Hunter group will be arriving in about a week. We won't her to be the one to wipe out the group under your watchful eye.

Her name is *Vella*, I wish you good luck in you jobs and we will be sending a little gift to you as a congratulation for your awakening. I will be calling back in a week. Over and out."

Siege signed and went to go sit down under the tree. "This sounds like its gonna be a handful..." He set a timer for when the new recruit would be arriving and fell asleep.  

[Well looks like I'm just messing with the story big time with my stories in stories adding, Lyra and all. I can already here an angry group of people form I post this chapter but what can I say, I have always been a random person and its starting to show in my righting. I had some major writers block and ended up watching ton of videos  and stuff like that. I wonder if anyone reads this bottom thing but that doesn't stop me from writing on it. Sorry if I killed a part of you on the inside with my little dinosaur story though I would like to make a chapter about that if you readers wanted me to. Please excuse the fact that this chapter had a lack of... well sense but i needed a moment of laughter for myself whilst writing... Oh well, I don't have much else to say other than thanks for reading and I hope you like the next chapter. The action and seriousness this story was built on will start rolling in again and I have much more in store.]

The newcomer.

Siege awoke the next day to a pleasant surprise. Next to him lay Lyra who was fast asleep. He check his timer. "9 hours left before I get my first student..." He thought to himself. It was extremely rare for a Guardian to get a student so quickly after only just being awakened.  

Siege started to wake Lyra up. He told her to get up with a quiet calm voice and gently nudged her awake. Her eyes opened and fluttered a bit as she got used to the light. She looked up to see Siege looking at her smiling warmly.

"I didn't know I was a nice bed." Siege said jokingly.

Lyra jumped up surprised. She had completely forgotten that she had slept with Siege. She started to remember the night before. After moving all the beds Lyra took the chance to look at the royal library. After looking through a few books on ancient myths she went back to the sleeping room, only to remember that there was no bed for her. She had looked around the castle for a nice place to sleep but couldn't find any. By chance she saw Siege laying under a tree and chose to just sleep with him. She was too tired to care at the time but now she needed to explain it, fearing that she would be thought of as crazy by Siege.

"Hehe..... Sorry, I didn't really have anywhere else to sleep." She said. She was blushing slightly.

"There's no need to be sorry, its nicer to wake up with a new friend then alone." Siege replied happily. "Shall we go grab something to eat?

Lyra nodded and the two went into the kitchen. It was still a mess but they where able to find enough fruit and other such things amongst the piles of flour, sugar and paper bags. They where the only two awake aside from Celestia, whom siege had heard walking around when they came in. Siege finished up his meal quickly. He wanted to tell the princess about the newcomer before the rest had woken up. He wasn't looking forward to Vella's arrival and would rather not talk about it or hear questions until he had known more himself.

"Lyra, could you wait here for a second?" Siege asked kindly.

"Ok." Lyra replied. She was long from finished with her meal. Siege walked around, stopping here and there to listen for the hoof steps of Celestia. He walked around the castle for a little while, before finding her.

"I must say, this castle looks much smaller on the outside." Siege said.

"It sure does, do you need me for anything?" Celestia asked.

"As a matter of fact, I do. Would you be oh so very kind as in to tell the others that they will be meeting a young and arrogant newcomer soon? Oh yah, there is a newcomer from my organisational coming. My first student for the mean time..."

"Why would they send a student to you?"

"Well lets just say her parents have some control in the organisation and they want there daughter to come train here under my eye. The report is that she has beatin everyone in her class and even some teachers in her training and is now very uptight and arrogant about it. They want me to tone her down so she can learn some discipline and respect for her higher ups."

"Sounds like quite a trouble your going to have then."

"Indeed....... Anyways would you please tell the others, I'm not looking forward to questions on the matter..."

"Very well, anything else?"

"Well Lyra ended up staying the night, in case you needed to know. Other than that, nothing special." Siege ended, he was lying on that part but would rather not talk about the fact that his own organisation had sent people to this system that wanted him dead. He nodded thankfully and walked back to the place where Lyra was. She was still eating when he came back.

"What did you need to do?" Lyra asked.

"Oh, it was nothing." Siege replied. For the mean time, he had nothing to do. He decided that the best thing he could do was just go up into the mountain and wait for the newcomer. The ship she was homed in on him so it would be better if she could be dropped of in an area that hardly had anything there. It would make for a better welcoming and he would immediately be able to test his student without harming any ponies in the process.

Once up at the top, Siege cleared a area that would be used for the fight. If he knew anything about arrogant people, which he did, he knew that the first thing Vella would do is challenge him. Clearing out an area was not hard with magic and he quickly had nothing to do anymore.

He sat down and starting to dig deep into his thoughts. The first thing he realized was that he never told Fluttershy why he called her little. Next he wondered what his new student would look like and what weapons she would use. Like Cell commanders Guardians used custom and unique weapons, often preferring close range  weapons instead of guns just due to the fact that it made there stealth mode much more useful. Also most Cell units were not trained to deal with close ranged combat and fell quickly to a blade. Only the best of both sides used melee weapons because of the danger in using them.

Whilst Siege continued to think Lyra was slowly making her way up the mountain. She knew the least about Siege and wanted to see what he did in his alone time. She had brought a quill and paper with to write down what she saw. It took about 30 minutes for her to make it all the way to the top. She hid behind a rock and watched Siege from a distance who was still too deep in thought to realize Lyra was there.

The rest of the ponies were waking up during all this, they yawned one by one as they grabbed some breakfast. Pinkie Pie started devouring the left over snacks whilst the rest of the ponies decided to just make some simple sandwiches.  No pony realised that Siege was gone until they had finished eating.

"Has anypony seen Siege this morning?" Flutteshy asked. She wanted to do some more talking with him about the whole Successor thing.

"I did hear him, but I haven't seen him yet." Twilight replied. "Speaking of which, where is Lyra? I know I heard her too."

"Maybe they went out to the city?" Pinkie Pie said hyperly. A new sugar rush was on its way. "Why don't we go look for him? Its not like we have anything better to do."

All the ponies got up and started walking out the door to the castle gate. At that same time princess Celestia started walking in a different door. She saw the tail of twilight and quickly called out. "Wait, I have some news!"

The 6 walked back in so they could hear her better. "Whats the news princess?" Twilight asked curiously.

"Siege had told me that a visitor will be coming from a his organisation. She will be arriving some time today."

"Oh boy, Whats her name, what does she look like, does she like cupcakes......?" Pinkie Pie flooded in an endless swarm of questions about the visitor.

"I don't know much about her but what I do know is that she is an arrogant fighter that is her to be trained by Siege for a while. Atleast that is what Siege was sure on. If you see him, try not to ask too much about it, he doesn't seem very happy about the matter and asked himself if i could tell you."

"Yes princess, speaking of which, have you seen him anywhere? We haven't seen him all morning." Twlight asked.

"Aside from when we had our little chat, I haven't seen him. Sorry girls." Celestia said. The girls looked at her with some disappointment.

"Well looks like we have a plan for the day, lets look for Siege!!" Pinkie Pie said happily.

"But first you need to clean up the kitchen." Celestia said with a smile. Pinkie Pie shot out the door and came back almost instantly. She was covered in flour. "Done!!" Pinkie yelled.

The ponies just looked at each other and ignored what had just happened. This was Pinkie Pie after all. They said there goodbyes to the princess before walking out of the room. There search for Siege had begon. Twilight mentioned to the others that they would have to look up aswell as in the streets. He could've been on one of the buildings.

Unfortunately for them Siege was far away from where they were. He had stopped thinking and was testing his blades. He was striking at trees and rocks, looking at how deep they would go. He was suprised to find that in some cases the blade would cut straight through both wood and rock, but in other cases they would resist attack completely. It all seemed to depend on the angle of attack. Swiping went far better on the trees if the blade was going from up to down, but rocks would only break if he hit them in a crack or thin piece.

Lyra watched the entire time, studying Siege's every move. She was surpised she hadn't been spotted yet. She was very happy though. Rarely did she get to study animals outside of the Everfree forest nor did she get to do it in this safety. This was the first time that she saw Siege's weapons though and she wondered why he had any. Being that she knew the least about Siege, she assumed it was just just for hunting or defense, Nothing too special. Later she would ask him about it but for now, she was just going to watch him.

Siege got bored with testing his blades. All around him were pieces of stone and wood. The a new question in him sparked. He knew that he could move thing with magic and calm creature with it, but there had to be more. He started lifting up of the surrounding stone and wood with his magic. He began testing sending different pulses at the mix. Most did nothing but a few did. He learn how to heat up the rubble or cool it off by sending waves of energy around it or removing energy. He played away, learning what the tunes did to the objects. There were two things he focused on. At one point he was able to briefly fuse the stone and wood together but it quickly shifted back. He kept pulsing at the rubble to make the wave more precise.

Finally after a few minutes of testing and tuning he was able to cast a spell which left the stone and wood fused together. Next he tried to form the mix into different shapes. He may have known how to lift and move things with magic, but not how to add or release pressure on an item. He kept working on it for a long time. Every minute he practiced the better it went but it was a lot to learn without knowledge or help from others.

Lyra watched continuously and even forgot to write things down. What she was watching amazed her, Siege was not just using magic but creating new spells and she was witnessing the process at work. Few knew how to change temperature with magic but never before had she seen things fusing together or being shifted when solid. She didn't know how he was doing it and she had been one of the best students in her magic school, aside from Twilight and some others. Lyra didn't think that Siege was a master at magic based on how he was doing things. She could see and even feel the energy around her being affected and shifted. He was using a method of magic that was unheard of. Quickly she began writing everything down trying not to miss anything. This was not just a great discovery for her but maybe even the way ponies used magic from then on.

Siege finally got the hang off changing the rubble's form and started shifting it around, breaking it apart and fusing it back together. He was a bit proud of himself for learning so much in a matter of hours and knew that it would come to use later on.  He checked his timer. Vella would be arriving in about 15 minutes give or take. Siege started taking some deep breathes and did his best to release and stress he had before he would meet his new student. He hated arrogant things and people above all else. It was those people who would normally end up fleeing battlefields and leave there allies to die. Siege saw arrogance as a pathetic way to make someone feel better about themselves without and real proof backing it up even when they did.

Suddenly Siege saw something move in the corner of his eye. He walked to the edge of the mountain top and stopped there. He looked down and listened carefully. He was able to make out some whispers underneath him. Siege jumped down using his hooked blade to catch the edge of the mountain as he fell and saw to familiar pegasi under an overhang. It was Rainbow dash and Fluttershy.

"Well hello there, mind telling me what you were doing?" Siege asked blandly.

"We were watching you." Fluttershy said simply. She and Rainbow had found Siege quite a while ago but she didn't want to bother him, urging Rainbow not too as well.

"May ask for how long?"

"About a half an hour. You looked so busy and we didn't want to disturb you."

"Well okay though you can just tell me next time." Siege ended and started pulling himself back up the side of the mountain.  He sat back down and looked at his timer one last time. "Just 11 more minutes before she arrives." Siege said to himself.

"I wonder what she will be like." Fluttershy said to Rainbow.

"I hope she is as cool as Siege" Rainbow replied. The two began talking to each other about the newcomer whilst Siege just sat close to the center of his little arena. The last few minutes pasted and Siege saw the transport ship with his visor as it entered the atmosphere. As it got closer Fluttershy and Rainbow started to see it. They watched as a strange metal bird looking thing came closer and closer. Fluttershy got nerves and walked behind Siege using him like a shield.

"I suggest that you two make some distance unless you want to get hurt." Siege said protectively. The last thing he wanted was for them to get hurt. Against Fluttershy's instincts she began to fly away and together with Rainbow found a spot on the other end of the far end of the mountain.

At this point the transport ship was very close and started preparing to land. A large gust of wind was felt as it made its final decent. Once the ship was at a safe distance from the ground a door opened and a girl jumped out of the ship. The ship then quickly started flying away.

"Looks like she has ruined someones day before even making it to the planet." Siege said. He felt bad for who ever was flying it.

The girl looked at Siege with some anger. She had short, dark red hair and eyes to match. She wore a black vest, darker pants and simple shoes. She also wore two yellow armbands.

"I can assume that you are my new student, Vella." Siege said with no sense of kindness or sincerity.

"Yah, whats it to you?" Vella replied. Siege could immediately tell that he was not going to like her. "All I have to do is beat you and I can live freely, without all those damn rules." Vella said. She started to rush at Siege Pulling two knives from her vest. She struck at Siege but he was easily able to dodge it. Vella continued her assault, but failed.

"They say you were talented in fighting but from the looks of it either they made a mistake or what qualifies as talented has really dropped in the past years." Siege said tauntingly. He knew she was not doing her best and felt insulted by that. He put his hood on and prepared for the next attacks.

"I'm only warming up." Vella said living up to her arrogant name. She made some distance between her and Siege and rushed at him again. This time she went far faster and gave Siege only a second or two to react. This was all the time he needed though and as Vella tried to strike him He grabbed her arm. She swung with the other arm and he grabbed it as well. He then proceeded to headbutt Vella, knocking her to the ground.

Rainbow and Fluttershy watch in awe as the two fought. At first they were a bit angry at Vella for attacking Siege but quickly felt sorry for her as she was beat to the ground time after time by Siege. Not once did Siege use his own weapons. He was fighting her to teach her her first lesson. Don't underestimate your enemies.

"You don't know when to give up, do you?" Siege said no longer taunting her. He now knew her level of fighting and wanted to end it quickly. Vella got up slowly again and tried to attack Siege. She was really slowing down. She had been so used to winning her fights quickly and without damaged that she could not fight for this long.

Vella tried one last assault on Siege. She did her final rush and strike with all her force in a fashion that hadn't failed her once. As she stuck down she swapped the the position of her knife, moving it from a striking angle to a stabbing angle. No one ever saw this coming and she had yet to fail landing a blow that could cause massive wounds. This time was very different. There was a pause as Vella looked at her arm. Siege had grabbed in between her knife and started lifting her off the ground. She felt a extreme pain in her hand, forcing her to drop her knife. Out of panic, she began flailing her free arm and legs around trying to break free from Siege's tight hold. Siege let out his blade and placed it against her neck. Vella froze.

"And you want to call yourself a Guardian....." Siege said coldly. He understood that she wanted to win but to do so in such a manner angered him greatly.  "Its the people like you that I watched killing each other for the own self honor and pride.... You make me sick." If the blow had hit him, it would have killed him almost instantly.

"Now you listen to me and you listen to me good, him you ever try such a thing to me or anything that lives on this planet, I will make you suffer...." Siege let her go and she fell to the ground. His voice filled her head and the effect was easily seen. She sat up, to weak to stand anymore and looked up at Siege. He looked back down at her.

"Do I make myself clear?" He finished. He looked down at Vella, who had started to cry softly. It was an emotional shock and the event broke down her ego like a crumbling wall. She was so used to winning that the massive loss she had just faced seemed to have destroyed her. After wiping away the last of her tears she tried to stand up but couldn't due to the fight.

Siege got down and helped her up. He was angry but was not going to be any crueler. It seemed like  what he had done was a mean thing to do but was necessary. This was not the first time he had been around such people. During his own training his teachers would do far worse things when a student acted in such a manner and he was not planning to be the same way.

Vella, first tried to deny the help she was being given but quickly gave in to Siege. He waved at Fluttershy and Rainbow Dash as if saying to them to come over.

"Well that was eventful." Siege said. He wasn't angry anymore. Though he did still not like the fact Vella had tried to kill him, he didn't want to see much more negative in her. She was talented and hopefully, with Siege's help she could learn to listen and respect others. Her arrogance was not completely her fault. Siege remembered how his trainers used to praise him and other talented trainees and how they would be told to take full pride in there actions and to actively look down on others. It was a trick the Heads of the program had used to ween out the worst of the group. Those who stayed respectful would later be sent to higher rankings and would be granted more important systems. They needed not to just be good warriors but also good people so that they could befriend intelligent lifeforms. Those who where influenced to greatly and became arrogant uptight people were sent to people like him, to be trained in discipline and respect.

"Was that really needed Siege? She looks really hurt." Fluttershy said. Her urge to help others was showing.

"Now, Yes. Other times, probably not." Siege replied. "With these kind of people its just better to show them there place before they start getting carried away." He looked at Vella. "You think you can stand on your own or should I just carry you?"

"I think I can stand on my own." Vella said. Siege slowly let go of her, letting her try and hold up her own weight. She ended up falling to her knees again, she was just in to much pain to stand. Siege removed his hood and revealed a little smile. "I guess I can just carry you, but I'm not gonna do all the work." He lifted her up by the arm, making sure to avoid her hand and    put her arm around the back o his neck and shoulder. Vella didn't really know how to react. Only a few minutes ago she was being beatin to a pulp by the very person that was now helping her but decided not to fight him.

"Fluttershy, Rainbow dash, Could you notify the princesses that the newcomer is here? I will take care of my little student for now. We have some talking to do." Siege asked.

"You can count on us!" Rainbow Dash said. She and Fluttershy flew down the mountain in search for the princesses. Siege smiled and continued walking, with Vella trying to walk next to him.

"Lyra, you can come out now!" Siege called out. Lyra jumped up surprised. She quickly ran up to Siege and Vella.

"How did you know I was there?" Lyra asked

"You'd be surprised how loud you write." Lyra blushed a little, she had been caught spying again.

"Well Vella, anything on your mind?" Siege asked. He was trying to be friendly. He felt bad for her and realized he had been a little to hard on her.

Vella looked at him with a confused look. She couldn't understand how he was acting.

"Aside from complaining about my aching body, I have nothing." Vella finally replied. Lyra immediately noticed that she spoke in the same manner as Siege.

Vella looked down and suddenly realized what had been walking next to her and Siege the entire time. "Is that a..... pony?" She asked softly.

"Yes, it is. Surprised?" Siege replied.

"Very."

"Oh by the way, sorry for how our little fight just now turned out. Lets just say the Organisation gave you a rather bad name and assumptions got the better of me. I will explain your situation tomorrow, the sun will be setting soon and your body definitively needs some rest." Siege finally said as they got down the mountain.

They slowly walked into the castle. Siege moved Vella to the garden as quickly as she could go. The last thing she needed now was somepony bothering her. He set her down under the tree he had slept at the last couple of days and walked away. Lyra had followed them the entire time.

"Why did she get so calm after the fight?" Lyra asked curiously.

"Magic." Siege replied. He wasn't joking. To ensure Vella didn't get herself any more hurt or anything along those lines he calmed her down the same way he had calmed down Luna.

"Lyra, can you tell the others not to come near the garden for now. I will be keeping an eye on my little student until she wakes up and I don't need anypony bothering her until I have talked with her. He walked back to the garden and sat next to Vella who was starting to doze off. It would be a sleepless night for him but he didn't want her to wake up and try to run away or anything along the those lines.

"Today went better than expected. I hope tomorrow goes as good."

[It seems like the chapters will just keep on getting bigger. I'm hoping I can use The new "Vella" Character considering I don't want to get rid of her. Though I'm still wondering if people read this bottom bar-thing, I'm still gonna just keep adding it. Anyways I hope you liked the new chapter. For the mean time I'm gonna try to keep my crazy out of the story and try doing so more focusing on the ponies, including Lyra. At first I was just using her to help me come up with more idea's for a story but now I think I'm gonna keep her. She may not be the same as in most other fanfics but I kinda like that.I combed through this chapter and found quite a few mistakes, they should be gone now and I should probably comb the other chapters...  Having nothing else to say, I'm off!!]    

Dark within.

Please read this. This chapter gets really dark about 2/3s in. You have been warned.

Vella woke up with the sun shining right into her eyes. It was so bright that it even shined through her eyelids. She tried to roll over and felt massive aches all around her body. The only thing what didn't hurt to move were her feet. After a few painful tries to managed to roll on to her side and tried to remember what had happened. Everything that had happened that day was in a blur. All she could clearly remember was her being in the transport ship, leaving it and meeting someone. She heard a voice but couldn't make out what it said. She opened her eyes but at first all she could see were colored blobs. As her eyes adjusted to the lighting, she started to make out shapes.

She recognized some blades of grass that where right in front of her eyes. As she looked up a little she could see someone shoeing away some strange looking animals. The person then walked up to her and squatted down in front of her.  

"I see your waking up." The person said smiling. Suddenly all of her memories of the day before rushed back in. The person sitting in front of her was her new trainer and the one who had beaten her so easily in a fight. Instinctively she rushed to stand up but got up to fast and felt dizzy. That together with how soar each muscles was made her almost fall right back down, only to be caught by the person.

"That wasn't the most smartest idea I've seen in awhile." The person said.

"Who are you?" Vella asked trying to say it in a strong voice but failing.

"Did they brief you on anything or did you just not listen?" I'm Siege and I will be your trainer until told else wise." Siege said. He sat Vella back down and sat next to her. "I do say, you are much different from what I thought you would be like. Though it might just be that your tired." Siege said. He was smiling again and his voice was giving a calming feeling.

Vella leaned against the tree, trying to stay upright and looked at Siege.The only thing she could think about now was food.

"Do you happen to have any food?" She asked weakly.

"I do believe that we have some food left. I can go get some for you now." Siege responded. He quickly made his way to the kitchen to grab some food. He needed to be quick because the little ponies were very curious and were doing there best to sneak peaks at the newcomer like a cat trying to get through a door that was being opened. He grabbed the last of the fruit and bread. He stopped for a moment to think about why the princess's kitchen was almost empty but didn't stop for to long.

He walked back Vella and saw Lyra hiding in some bushes. Siege didn't mind this to much as long as she kept quiet. He sat back down next to vella and gave her an apple. "Its not much, but it seems that we are running a bit low on supplies." Siege said. Vella didn't mind though, she was just hunger and happily started to eat. She finished the meal in no time and was fully awake by now. Whilst she was eating she noticed a bandage around her right hand. She tried to move it but felt immense pain when she did. She let out a groin of pain and quickly stopped trying to use her hand.

"Sorry about. It is not broken but you shouldn't try to use it for the mean time."  

She looked around her and noticed she was in a garden and she could seen what looked like castle walls around her.    

"Can you walk this time?" Siege asked. Vella slowly pulled herself up and tried to stand up. It hurt but she managed to walk around a bit before sitting back down.

"Well it looks like you can walk. How much have you been briefed?" Siege asked. He wanted to know just what the Heads had told her.

"I was to be sent to a teacher, outside of the station. He would train me until I was ready to get my suit. My first challenge would be to see if I could beat you in a fight. If I won then they would give me my suit early and let me choose whether I wanted to stay or not. If I lost I would be kept here until my teacher said otherwise."

Siege sat there for a moment just thinking. His organisation was always lying or tricking there students and guardians to make sure they were always prepared or fighting at there best. Siege didn't completely agree with there ways of going about things but he did understand why they did it. He was just happy they had stop sending the students to real battles anymore and stuck with simulations. There ways of lying were a better method than that of before.

"Well I guess you will be staying for awhile." Siege said with a smile. Siege decided to play along with it. The last thing he wanted to do was motivate Vella to fight, she needed to rest and heal. If only he could get back to the forest. There lay his chamber which had so things to help, he needed Vella close just in case something happened. Then he remembered the town he had raced passed. It was the closest town near the forest.

"Say Vella, would you like to meet some of my new found friends whilst I take care of something?" Siege asked.

"Sure, why not. Its not like I'm going anywhere soon." Vella said. Siege could hear some sadness in her voice. He started to wonder about her past and what it could have been like.

"Lyra, go get the others!" Siege called out. Lyra not realizing that he knew she was there jumped up surprised.

"Um.... ok!" She replied frantically grabbed her things and rushed out of the garden. A few moments later Lyra and the other ponies including the princesses came through the doors of the garden. They had an excited look on there face like when someone gets told that they will be given a game they wanted really bad.

The ponies picked up there pace as they saw Vella. Fluttershy looked like she was skipping and had a warm smile on her face.

"Oh yeah... there were ponies here." Vella said. "Hi...."

They did there introductions. Pinkie Pie brought a batch of cupcakes with. She gave one to everyone and started to devour the rest.

"Princess Celestia, may I speak to you in private?" Siege asked politely.

"Okay....." Celestia had a confused look on her face. Whilst the ponies were busy talking to Vella. Celestia and Siege left the garden and stopped in the hallway.

"This should be a good spot, its not that big of a deal. I would like for Vella not to find out just yet." Siege said. "I will put its simply. My organisation sent Vella here for two reasons.

1. She needed to be trained discipline and learn to respect all others.

2. Too test her skills in a real fight and earn her nanosuit.

There is a group of people that want to eradicate the Guardians. Its a newly formed group and its very small at the moment. My organisation gave the coordinates of my location to this group. Its Vella job to wipe them out but because of a little fight we had she is no state of doing so. I have so things that could help her heal much faster in my chamber. However its still somewhere in the forest. My organisation has told me that the group will arrive in about six days but has the tendency to lie. I would like to move Vella to a town I passed whilst making my way here.

My question now is will you help me move her to this town and find a place in which I can keep her safe?"

Celestia listen carefully to the what Siege said and thought for a moment. The town they have pasted was Ponyville and Fluttershy's cottage was right next to the Everfree forest. Not only that but Fluttershy was known for being to take great care of all kinds of animals.

"Very well, we shall help you but in return I would like it if you stayed in the town. It is where all 7 of the ponies here live and they are probably starting to get home sick. By the way the name of the town is "Ponyville" and the name of the forest is "The Everfree Forest". This might help you a bit more." Celstia finally answered.

The two walked back into the garden to give the good half of the news to the ponies.

"Good news everypony, you will be going back to Ponyville very soon. I suggest that you start packing your things." Celestia said.

The ponies looked at her in confusion. "Why do we have to leave at such short notice?" Twilight asked.

"Well something has come to my and Siege's attention and to help with the matter he must return to the Everfree forest. Vella will also be coming with and will be staying with Fluttershy in her cottage until further notice, now quickly get your things ready. You will be leaving in twenty minutes." Celestia answered. The way should said it made everypony rush out of the garden without asking anything.

"You defiantly now how to control somepony." Siege complimented.

"I have rules for thousands of years. Its like second nature to me." Celestia replied with a smile. "Now lets move Vella to one of the carriages."

Siege walked up to Vella who had somehow managed to fall asleep in the short time that the ponies were not focused on her. Siege picked her up, making sure to keep her from waking up and followed Celestia out. She personally led Siege out of the castle. It was a tad bit of an awkward moment for Siege to walk though the city with Vella in his arms whilst Celestia and some guards walked around him. He got a lot of strange looks from the ponies around him.

They made there way out of the castle and quickly the guards started bring out the carriages. There was an extra large one which was normally used by the princesses set up for Vella and Siege. Once again Siege declined using the carriage. He felt much better just running the whole way there. A few minutes later the Fluttershy and Lyra arrived. The two sat themselves right next to Vella. Fluttershy wanted to make sure that Vella would be okay during the trip and Lyra wanted to get as close a look as she could of Vella. The trip back would be the perfect excuse to do so.

Later the rest of the ponies appeared. The all set themselves down in different carriages and waited for take off. Celestia said her farewells to the ponies and they started on there way back home.

Fluttershy was looking forward to getting back home and seeing the animals again. She was planning to make them all a big meal when she returned. She wasn't the only one planning for there return. Pinkie Pie was setting up a big party for Vella in her mind. She wanted to do it in the same style that Siege had done his, only with more games.

Lyra was busy righting down the appearance of Vella. She looked far different from Siege. She assumed that it was just because of there sexes but it didn't stop her from wonder further. She looked up as she thought and suddenly she felt as if something was wrong. She looked at all the other carriages and thought for a moment.

"Wait a second! Where is Siege?!? She asked as a worried look came over her face. She turned to Fluttershy. Fluttershy simply pointed down and stayed quite. She was never good with ponies she didn't know and even though she had seen Lyra a few times, she had never spoken with her.

Lyra looked down and to her relief she saw Siege. But that relief quickly faded. "Why is Siege on the ground? Did he fall off or something?" She thought to herself. She watched as Siege easily kept up with the carriages and took the chance to study his moments.

Meanwhile in a different carriage Rainbow was talking about the arguing with Pinkie Pie about the party. Pinkie wanted to start on the party once they where back in but Rainbow wanted her to wait until Vella was better. Rainbow knew how it felt to have a heavy day of training only to be massively bothered afterwards by Pinkie.

Rainbow got sick of arguing and looked down at Siege. She had the urge to fly and jumped of the carriage to fly along side him.

The rest of the trip was rather peaceful and they arrived in the town square only an hour or so later. During the landing Vella  woke up and looking around. She saw small houses everywhere and even more little ponies staring at her and the others. The townsfolk didn't know how to react but seeing twilight and the rest, decided to just try and ignore it trusting that there was nothing wrong.

Vella sat up and saw Siege walking up to her.

"I see your awake." He said smiling. He pick her up again and she had no idea how to react. "Fluttershy, would you be oh so kind as in to show us the way to your cottage."

The ponies grabbed there things and said there goodbyes. All of them were looking forward to going home and quickly left.

Fluttershy, Applejack and Siege started walking to Fluttershy's cottage. Applejack would continue until she reached  her orchard. She didn't do much talking. Ever time she was around Siege she tended to just keep to herself. They continued walking and eventually Applejack said her goodbye and started on her way to the orchard.

Vella was enjoying the little walk. it was oddly comfortable to be held by Siege. She hadn't a lot of forests and other things like that other than in simulations and the scenery made her feel safe and peaceful. Siege was surprised at how quiet she was but never questioned it. He was looking forward to getting back in the Everfree forest.

The three reached Fluttershy's cottage and Fluttershy immediately started hugging the animals. She was very happy to finally be back home. The cottage had been let in perfect conditions whilst she was gone, probably done by one of the princesses care takers. Once Angel saw her he ran up to her and hugged her leg. He had missed Fluttershy more that he thought he would.

Meanwhile outside Siege was quickly setting up a makeshift bed for Vella. He would be on his way soon but needed to wait on Fluttershy to tell her when he'd be back. Fluttershy came out of her cottage and Siege called out to her.

"Fluttershy, if all goes well I should be back sometime tonight. Please take good care of Vella but make sure to keep your eye on her. Also if you have any fish or something like that for her to eat, please let her. Her body needs the protein to repair her muscles." Siege said.

Fluttershy simply nodded and walked over to Vella.

"Are you feeling alright?" She asked to Vella quietly.

"I've felt better but for the most part yes." Vella replied. The two started a little chat about just about everything that came to there minds.

"So how have you liked your stay in Equestria so far?" Fluttershy asked.

"Equestria......?"

"Oh this country is called Equestria."

"Well I like the fact their's ponies everywhere and the fact you all seem to nice. It sucks I've had to lay down almost the entire time."

"Speaking of which, why in the world did you attack Siege?"

"If I beat him, I would get my suit. Its that simple. I have to say. He is the best fighter I've ever seen."

"Rainbow said something about a fight he had with some people. Siege called them Cell."

"He fought Cell troops!?." Vella said jealously. "Now I'm looking forward to seeing what all this planet has."

"Why......?" Fluttershy asked confused.

"The only real battles I've fought have been with other trainees or teachers. Hearing what you just said only means that Cell are on the planet and I can finally give myself a worthy challenge."

"Uuuuum.... Siege said....... that they had all been....." Fluttershy stopped talking for a moment.

"Siege said what?!? What did he say?" Vella asked impatiently. She was getting fired up from the idea of fighting with Cell forces.

Fluttershy hesitated for a moment but built up the courage to say it. "Siege said that he had exterminated them all...." She said sadly. She never did like the idea of animals killing each other even if it was for a good reason.

"Exterminated them?! How many were there, why were they here?! Vella asked quickly. She really wanted to know what happened.

"Siege said it was a mining station or something like that."

"And he did this alone?"

"Yes......" Fluttershy ended. she didn't want to talk about it anymore.

Vella sat there with a look of amazement on her face. It took her and multiple squads, sometimes even teachers, too take out a mining station. The idea of one person doing this amazed her. She had heard stories of Guardians doing amazing things like this but never once met anyone that even came close to the level.

She looked at her armband. It worked about the same way as Siege's visor but was used with the hand. She started going through files. The armband had a database of Guardians. The best Guardians data was open for all because of the fear they cause among there enemies. It was like a big sign saying, "Mess with protected systems at your own risk." If Cell or Ceph found any sytems protected by a Guardian, they tended to avoid them. Guardian where extremely feared and the few times that one of there protected systems had been attacked tended to end in disaster for the attacker.

She found Siege and her mouth dropped open from awe. As she read through what all he had done all she could do was gasp. Some how he had managed to make it to the top in only a few years and did things that only the more experienced soldiers with the best weapons and nanosuits available could do. And he had done most all of this without a suit of his own.

Vella just kept reading what he had done for what seemed like hours. Fluttershy had left a long time ago to see and take care of her animals. Vella finished reading and felt quite inspired by the files of Siege. With a new felt strength she tried to stand up. She felt much better but she was still soar all over. After stretching she walked around, looking at all the animals.

Vella got bored of looking around rather quickly and pulled out her knifes. She started practicing her swings and stabs, cutting though the air with great speed. Moving around helped with her aching muscles by loosening them up.

Fluttershy noticed Vella practicing her knife play and walked up to her, keeping some distance.

"Vella, would you like to eat something?" Fluttershy asked as Vella took a quick break. She nodded. Vella hadn't noticed how hunger she was and gladly ate everything given to her.

"Its nice to see your feeling better." Fluttershy said.

"Its nice to feel better." Vella responded. Vella looked up at the sky and smiled. She was already starting to like this place a lot more than her training station. The fresh air and relaxation was a nice change to her usual life style.

"This way of life is much nicer."

"How did you live before coming here?"       

"We mostly just trained in combat. Here and there we would get some lessons in survival and diplomacy. I never really have had time to relax since my parents enrolled me into the program."

"Is there anything you think you will miss about your old life?"

"Not really. I don't want to think about it too much though. I might have to go back soon anyways, its up too Siege."

"I hope you get to stay longer. I'm sure he likes that your here."

"What makes you say that?"

"Well, I don't think I would like being the only one of my kind on some strange planet. Even if I still had friends and all that, I would still live with the emptiness of acting like the others. When I look at Siege, I can tell half the time he is only acting that way because he wants to make us happy.

Ponies are far more peaceful then humans from what I've seen. He told us one of his stories a night before you came. It was a story that most ponies would never tell and keep secret but when he told it, he seemed proud of it. He told it with great detail and was looking forward to telling it. I could never talk about something like what he did and I doubt many other ponies could.

What I trying to say is our cultures are different and he would not be able to live as his true self without a fellow human."

"Well now I want to here his story." Vella said laughing. She did understand what Fluttershy said but since she had never been in a situation like it, didn't really know how she would react.

"Not that I want to be rude or anything but do you have a shower or something like that?" Vella asked. She had been sweating a lot and wanted to wash up.

"Well I have a bath, but I don't think its near big enough for you."

"Oh okay, I guess its the river for me then. do you at least have a towel or two?"

"Yes I have towels, I will go get them and some soap." Fluttershy ended as she walked back to her house. She came out caring some towels and a bottle of soap. The two walked to the river and Vella took of her cloths and just jumped in. The water was crystal clear and it was nice to be in. She just swam around for a while, enjoy her ever moment of it.

Meanwhile Siege was already deep in the forest. He was singing a song as he walked along. For him this walk was a moment of pure peace. The dark shading calmed him down and gave him time to just enjoy the scenery. He needed some alone time, though it was interrupted multiple times by the animals around him. Some birds seemed to be following him around. They were crow like birds. "Was a disturbing symbol the forest has given me." Siege thought to himself. Crows tended to be used as a sign of luck and death. A odd combo but it was fitting, for crows at least.

He had almost reached his chamber as the sun started to set. Siege could hear some thunder in the distance. He put his hood and visor on. He reached his chamber when it starting getting really dark. The rain had started making it even harder to see. He grabbed the things he needed and stopped for a moment to listen to his surroundings. The crows were still following him. Neither the birds or Siege cared about the rain the slightest bit.

He was just about to walk back when a alarm sounded coming from his visor and chamber. Someone was entering the atmosphere. He tracked the objects movement and it traced straight to the area around Fluttershy's cottage. He scanned the object and could not believe what was coming.

"No..... they wouldn't." Siege thought to himself. It was a small warship designed by Crytek and made to set small forces down in hostile areas without taking damage. This ship was used for one thing and one thing only. To deliver an extermination team.

He rushed back to the cottage. If he could get back on time he could stop them before they did any harm.

Fluttershy and Vella where inside the cottage at this time. They were sitting by a fireplace enjoying some food when a loud roar could be heard from outside. Fluttershy looked out the window and saw something land in the forest outside of her house. Due to the storm is was impossible to make out what it was. The animals where panicking and she rushed outside to calm them down.

After she had managed to get them back into there pens and shush them, she walked to the edge of the forest. She could see something moving around just behind the trees as the lighting struck. Suddenly a loud bang could be heard from the forest that sounded nothing like thunder. Fluttershy felt an immense pain in her right leg. Two more bangs sounded and Fluttershy fell down. The pain was terrible that she couldn't even scream and she couldn't move her leg at all.

As she lay on the ground, she could see 3 figures walking out of the forest. They looked like Siege but were completely covered in a black suit. There visors looked the same as Sieges but they didn't glow.

"Move this one to the ship!" One of the figures said. "Find Vella and bring her in for questioning. Keep both alive, we can get rid of them once we have the information we need!" A different figures picked up Fluttershy and brought her into the forest. She watched as the other two walked up to her house. Some shouting could be heard and after a moment Vella was dragged out of the house my her hair. One of the figures was now limping but the other one seem completely fine.

The two were brought to a strange looking ship. It was kind of like the transport vehicle but had a bunch of different compartments on the outside. Fluttershy saw about 13 men that where talking or staring at there new prisoner. Vella saw the ship and a look of pure fear came over her face. This only made Fluttershy even more afraid.

The man threw her on the ground and started to yell at her. "Where is he!! Where is your Guardian?!! Fluttershy was to scared to say anything. The man kicked her and and start yelling at her more. One of the other men walked over to him and stopped him before he could do anymore harm. "Relax, this little thing probably can't understand you. Lets focus on Vella." The man said. The other one looked at Fluttershy, eye full of anger and spat on her.

The two men walked over to Vella and started beating her. Yelled at her for answers on the whereabouts of the Guardian. She didn't say a word. She had been trained never to give out information to someone that was considered an enemy.

After a short while the same man went back to Fluttershy and prepared to kick her again. Suddenly around them a sinister laugh could be heard all around them. It seemed to echo through out the entire forest.

"This is not your lucky day. You will suffer dearly for this!!" The voice said.

Suddenly one of the men stand close to the forest wall was yanked in. Screams of agony and pain quickly follow. It was the worst noise anyone there had ever heard. The sound fell short as two men ran into the forest to see what happened only to follow the same fate.

"I will make you Suffer!!" The voice said again.

Vella and Fluttershy had looks of horror on there face. The recognized that voice which made them scare even more.

"Whos there?!"One of the men shouted. He ran up to the edge of the forest and stopped in his tracks. The bodies of the three men where thrown out of the forest, they where mangled and torn. "What kind of monster could have done this?!" The man said.  

A glow red glow formed around the head of one of the men. The man went completely crazy and started rolling around of the ground, terrified.

The man stand near the bodies turn around to see the crazed man rolling on the ground. "Defensive positions!" He shouted. His voice cut short as a blade slid through his spine coming out of his chest. He fell to the ground and screamed. A figure appeared behind him. As a lighting bolt flashed Fluttershy and Vella quickly were able to make out the appears of the figure. It was Siege.

What they saw next would haunt them for the rest of there lives. They where about to see one of the rarest and darkest traits almost solely unique to humans. The urge for revenge, a trait that could turn the kindest person into a heartless killer, killing with the sole purpose of making someone or something suffer beyond belief.

Siege set him foot on the mans head and slowly put pressure on it. The man screamed louder and louder until a loud crack could be heard and vanished. The surviving started shoot aimlessly at the area were Siege had been stand but to no use. A slicing noise could be heard as two more men fell to the ground lifelessly. There was now complete panic and the men scrabbled to form a circle. One of the men tripped whilst running to the circle and was dragged into the woods. More screams of pain were heard. For a moment there was silence. Not even rain nor thunder could be heard.

"Is..... is it gone?" One of the men said.

"No......." A deep whisper was heard in the center of the group. All the men turned around and saw Siege standing in between them. A man Yelled and ran at Siege trying to strike him. Another slice was heard and the man was cut in two. A blood bath started as Siege started cutting the men to pieces.

Vella regained control of her body and ran to Fluttershy. She was in complete shock from what she was witnessing. She watch as her own friend tore the men to pieces. Vella picked Fluttershy up and ran out of the forest. She started running to Applejacks farm as fast as she could, ignoring all her pain. As she left more screams could be heard and there was some gunshots here and there. She heard someone running for help and looked behind her. There was one of the men running at her and yelling out of fear. She watched as a red glow formed around the man. He Screamed out in shear pain as he seemed to implode.

There was no more sound after that. No screaming, no birds, no wind, Just silence. Vella continued running and reach the farm quickly.

"APPLEJACK, HELP!!" Vella yelled out as she reached the farm. Applejack look out of her window and saw Vella holding Fluttershy. The look of fear on there faces was ever too clear and Applejack rushed outside, followed by Big Mac and Applebloom. "What happened!?" Applejack yelled.

"There no time to explain, Fluttershy needs medical attention right now."

They all rushed into the city. There were only a few ponies out who quickly came to help. They bursted through the nurses office. "We need help!" Applejack yelled out. Nurse  Redheart rushed into the entrance hall and looked in horror at what head been done to Fluttershy. She examined the wounds. "She need to go into surgery, NOW!!" A few more nurses rushed in with a bed time thing. Vella set Fluttershy in the bed and the rushed her away. "We will tell you when we are done. I will send in a different nurse and you will tell him exactly what happened to her!" Nurse Redheart shouted before rushing off.

A new male nurse walked in. "What happened to her?" He asked calmly trying to calm things down.

"We were attacked, shes been shot!" Vella yelled out. The nurse gave her a confused look. Applejack repeated it.

"Shot, shot by what?" The nurse asked. Applejack worked as a translator.

"I don't know! I have never seen a gun like that before!" Vella replied.

"I you don't tell us then we will have a much harder time helping her!" The nurse said in vain. Vella couldn't hear anything anymore and collapsed to the ground. The emotional and physically shock was to much for her and she blacked out.

[Well, this is a dramatic change of events. I will not be continuing all the dark stuff unless I really get the urge to but there will always be a warning before hand. This idea for the story has been stuck in my head for a long time now and I really needed to get it in. I'm sorry if I have somewhat screwed up the story once again.
