Light and I both stood with our hooves anchored to the floor as we watched Grim and Vinetion duke it out. Through the rampaging onslaught of thorns and needles, Grim smirked teleporting not through the usual spark of magic but as if he were a haze of smoke simply phasing through the pricked walls only materializing to change direction.

[ ....Ha...pricked...]

< Really Kill? Really?>

" Light, shouldn't we do something? How about stopping them? Yeah, I think that would be nice," I said less enthusiastic as all we did were watching at our friends fight.

" No," Light answered with near no attention to me.

" What?! What do you mean no! We have a bigger problem than this!" I exclaimed in shock.

" Graze, something doesn't feel right about this place, I was raised here and yet.....Something isn't the same, I just can't put my hoof on it."

" Okay, I get that but what about them?! Vine is going to murder Grim! Have you not seen how dangerous she is with a cactus?!"

He looked at me and winked," Let's just call this practice, admit it, we are all a bit rusty and facing Shadow is not going to be an easy task."

" But--"

" Hey" he interrupted me," if it gets too dangerous, we will stop it okay?" I nodded understanding him and stood as we watched both pony of nature and supposed Death warred.

' Why can't I hit him?!' Vine raged in her mind as her focused attempts to hit Grim with the hedge of thorns missed. Only to arise and sink to mimic the Grave pony's movement did the hedge continue with its onslaught.

" Hahahahaha," Grim laughed with a tease," you lack accuracy my dear Vinetion. If you think this little game is going to defeat Shadow, then you are sadly mistaken."

Wait, was this Grim's true intentions?  A test?

' Hmph, even though I hate to admit, he is right. It's time to stop foal's play.' Vine smirked a thought and left the hedge standing a few feet away from Grim.

" Oh, I wondered when you were going to stop," Grim taunted which Vine accepted willingly from the distance. The ground beneath Grim violently shook causing him to lose balance. " Wait, what?!" He shouted as a twin thorned vines intertwined with another pierced the ground below, only separating to opposite directions and wrapped around his hindlegs piercing his skin. He flinched in pain staring at Vine with intense detest. " That's all you got?" He faked another taunt, ' Damn,why can't I teleport?!'

" Oh, someone a bit too tired?" She snickered and explained ,"  These aren't your regular roots, I've copied this move from my pet Lily. Same concept as her Leeching seeds but instead, mine drain magical energy."

" Oh buck," Grim cursed and thought playing back the scenes in his head,' Well, she is a smart mare. She only used the thorns as a decoy. Obviously injuring me wasn't her main objective. It was to ensure I don't touch her ancestors and with my magic levels depleted, ressurecting an army is impossible...... I shall save my magic for my last move if things get out of hoof.'

" Oh buck is right," she said trotting towards him and overshadowed his body," you dear not mess with my ancestors nor me. By the way, have you met Lily?" She said tracing a circular symbol on the floor from which vines, twigs and leaves intertwined forming a  wooden dragon.

< Hey, I actually forgot about her.>

[ You think Valkyria and Lily are into each other?]

{ Kill, is this seriously the time to think of that?}

[ I'm just saying lesbian dragons can exist ] Kill shrugged and pointed out.

Lily growled going into a battle stance as she appeared before her enemy," Now, since you can't move, I am going to end you with one move." She then looked at her pet dragon and ordered," Use SolarBeam." The dragon of wooden element moved to a more relaxed position as it would usually bask in the sun.

" Ha! What do you think this is? Daylight?! We are in the bucking night, Celestia can't help you!" Grim underestimated Vine. " Also, you seem to forget that we are in EverFree, no light comes in here. EVER!"

Both Light and I watched above us. Grim was right, nothing shone through the shade of trees, not even a simple ray of moonlight.

" You seem to have underestimated me," Vine stated. She stomped her hooves on the floor and shouted a prayer," Ancestors of the forest and Gaia! Lend me your strength!" She then clenched her teeth, placing every inch of her focus and concentration into this last move. With immense physical, mental and spiritual power she called upon unnatural strength as the earth below us shook violently with a tremor.

" IS THIS AN EARTHQUAKE?!" Light shouted as he fell to the floor losing his balance, placing his hooves over his head.

" NO! THIS ISN'T POSSIBLE!" Grim shouted looking up. The forest itself seemed as if it was moving. All the trees which once provided us with ominous shade slowly retreated allowing Luna's full moon to shine upon the ancestral grounds.

" SHE CAN'T KEEP UP WITH IT! IT'S TOO MUCH!" I shouted to Light as I focused on Vinetion, watching a drop of blood fall from the tip of her snout and onto the soil.

Mere seconds later, did the trees and the forest itself stop moving as the moonlight shone upon the battlefield illuminating the entire area. Exhausted, Vine lost control of the vines which restricted Grim. Breathing heavily she said joyously," Thank you Gaia... Thank you ancestors for answering my prayers." Not allowing herself a break she quickly ordered," Concealed by Luna's moon. The rays of the celestial sun shine brightly and with their aid Lily, let us show Grim, true power."

The wooden dragon basked in the moonlight accepting the gift of both princesses as the flower perched gently behind her left ear glowed brightly signalling ready for the attack. " You deserve no last words," Vine watched as Grim tried his best to stand on four hooves. " Attack." She ordered emotionless.' This shouldn't kill him. I am better than that but it should very well teach him a fucking lesson.'

The dragon rose its head as the compressed energy flowed through its body and shot out through its mouth.

" You aren't the only one who can summon," Grim said and stomped his hooves which surprised Vinetion and all of us," SHIELD ME STALLORD!" He shouted as bones connecting with bones quickly formed a skeletal structure of a dragon. Effectively and might I add in the very last split second, was the creature fast enough to shield its mentor from the beam of light by clamping its hands together.

[ That could be extremely useful if things get out of hoof ]

{ Oh yes Kill, I just thought of something of epic proportions.}

< Like?>

{ Don't worry, when the time comes, I shall ask for assistance...}

Hearing the snapping and crackling from the wooden structure, the poor wooden dragon pushed itself to its limit as it continuously maintained control over the beam.

" Heh, I guess I lost," Grim closed his eyes and admitted as the beam penetrated the foundation blasting him at full power.

Vinetion saw the body of Grim drop to the floor lifelessly surrounded by the bones of his fallen shield. She closed her eyes and whispered a silent prayer with a tired breath," Thank you. I could have not done this without you all." She then looked down feeling the brush against her leg," And you too Lily!" She patted its head and scratched it playfully.

" Quickly! We need to get Grim!" Light and I quickly galloped to the body," Is he okay?!" I shouted and poked him with a hoof," Grim! Grim! Wake up!"

With a final poke, I then picked him up but something wasn't right. This made no sense! His body was slowly disappearing from my hooves as what had been left from him, converted into crows and vanished into thin air.

[ What the fuck is going on?!] Kill demanded to know.

With everyone confused in the forested and moonlit area, what had bewildered us more was that the forest was disappearing! What the fuck!?

" I knew it!" Light exclaimed," This isn't EverFree! But where are we then?!"

" I don't know," Vine replied," But one doesn't simply vanish. I demand to know where we are!"

" Close your eyes," a voice eerily echoed said through the air. We didn't know what else to do being as everything else was highly fucked up, so we shrugged to one another following orders and closed them. " Now open them," the voice ordered.

" What the fuck!? You just said close them!" I shouted.

" Well fine! Never open your fucking eyes again!" The voice shouted being in a more familiar tone.

" Grim?!"

" No shit! Now open your Celestia damn eyes!" He shouted impatiently with sarcasm.

I opened them and to my surprise we were back in the halls! " What the actual fuck?! How is this possible?!"

Grim laughed aloud," Hahahaha, don't look into my eyes bro, that's why I wear these bad boys," He said pointing to his red shades.

Kill beside me took out a notepad and read out to me [ Let me add that to the list : Don't taste Ice's ice cream, don't listen to SeaBreeze's singing, don't piss off Charge, don't mess with Vine's coffee, don't break a Pinkie Promise, don't talk to Ditzy when she has the bat...Ahh yes, don't look into Grim's eyes.]

[ Bitch please, I just read out the list and you give me that shit?]

" So wait, all this was just wasted time?!" Vinetion exclaimed," Just a trick?!"

" No, not wasted time. Time well invested," he corrected her," I admit, I did look down on you but seeing now, you can very well handle yourself." Grim told her and then waved a hoof good night.

" Does this mean I won?!" She shouted demanding an answer which made Grim pause in his tracks to think.

" I'm just going to warn you, doing that in real life would have surely killed us both. You were only able to use that much strength and receive near to no fatigue because it was a simple mental trick, a practice you might say. I know my limits,if I dared summon Stallord and teleported that many times in reality, I would have surely died... twice ," he replied and then looked at Vinetion as he emitted the ghoulish haze from his horn.

" So, my ancestors didn't answer my prayers?" Vinetion asked curiously.

" Oh, they did and so did mine but let's just say in reality, ancestors ain't gonna help you move an entire forest, it is near impossible. Everything was made a bit easier for us, it was only a mere test to see if you are mentally prepared."

" But did I win against you?"

"Let's just say yes for now." And with that, he was gone.

"....Well.... I'm satisfied," Vine smiled walking to her dorm a few steps down," Night guys, see you tomorrow!" She exclaimed before closing her door.

Light then looked at me and informed," I'm calling it a night Graze. Tomorrow we shall inform the others. Thank you for being understanding," he said lending out a hoof to which I smacked with mine.

As he too had teleported to his dorm, I released a heavy sigh from tonight's activities. I took a slow trot to my dorm embracing the silence for once and entered my dorm. " Hiya Graze! Where were ya?!" Silence ruined.

" Hey Aroma," I smiled and ignored the question," where's Ditzy?"

" Sleeping, but my question, where were *SLAM*...you," she said outside the room.

[ Tonight you sleep on the couch bitch.]

" I HEARD THAT KILL!" Aroma shouted.

" GOOD NIGHT AROMA!" I exclaimed hopefully not waking up Ditzy," Wow, she is a heavy sleeper," I said watching as she was still asleep.

I quickly retreated into the bed beside Ditzy with my back faced hers.As if it was instinctively, even in her sleep, she rolled facing my direction placing her hoof around me. I took a quick roll facing her direction and nuzzled her snout.

I rolled back to my original sleeping position facing the other side of the bed. A certain dragon watched me and came closer. I scratched her head with my hoof which she seemed to enjoy.

Looking at Valkyria, I stopped the scratching and questioned," You do like female dragons, don't you?" Valkyria then sat on her hindlegs and shrugged. " Yeah, thought so."
