As can (hopefully) be seen by the above snipping tool picture, I've been invited to something that I never thought I'd manage to be a part of.

For those of you who can't see the image, or it's not large enough for you to read, I'll copy and paste it below with certain information omitted:

Dear {Name Hidden},

On behalf of the {Name Hidden} Firm, we would like to cordially invite you to participate in a unique opportunity to learn from the most accomplished persons in {Name Hidden}. This two-week long workshop running from January 16 - January 30 will prepare you regarding what to expect working at the {Name Hidden} Firm. The workshop is located in {Name Hidden}. Both the plane ride and any and all expenses will be paid by us.

-Get involved - meet people, introduce yourself, ask questions and look for opportunities to learn more. Talk to aides, lawyers and other trainees about their experiences. This will help you to build a more detailed picture of the firm and what a career in commercial law involves.

-Come prepared - two weeks will fly past so make sure you are ready both to learn and to show your own abilities and talents. Prior to your workshop identify particular areas that you want to find more about. Remember, everyone here was once a newcomer and they'll be happy to answer your questions.

-Listen and ask questions - this is your opportunity to learn about what a major law firm does and what a long-term career entails. There will be a lot of information to absorb. Do ask if you wish to learn more or clarify something. You will find the people around you understanding and helpful and even if they can't help directly they'll be able to point you to someone who can.

-Have fun - the workshop isn't just about work, it's also about experiencing the culture of the firm and getting to know our people.

If you have any questions, Mr. {Name Hidden}, don't be afraid to reply to this message or call toll-free at {Number Hidden}.

Sincerely,

{Name Hidden}

There is very little (practically none) chance that I will be able to write anything that has to do with my stories during the two weeks that I'll be gone. I'm deeply and truly sorry.
