Chapter 41: Sweetiemorph vs Ubermorph-Final.

Previous Chapter Next Chapter

It shot out a misty bolt of energy, a single solid force in the center.

She raised a shield but even that was hard to keep up. She strained under the force, and relaxed slightly when she saw its own horn was a bright red at the tip.

'Obviously it doesn't know about magical convection.' She smirked inwardly. 'I should be able to out magic it though.'

She dropped the shield and charged her own spell. Fire spread across her horn as she sent a concentrated stream of fire at it. She felt the tip of her horn warm up slightly; she dropped the spell and quickly cooled it off with a quick ice spike.

The smoke cleared from the blast, she narrowed her eyes. From the smoke came a half disintegrated Ubermorph. The top half had been burnt away, blood trickling down the sides as it wobbled around, aimlessly without a head. It stopped and its upper torso regenerated, now covered in bone-plating.

Her eyes widened before she regained a confident stance. Using herself, she blocked its view of the ponies, her mandibles spread wide in fury.

It charged forward, she did the same.

They both collided with each other, Sweetiebelle clawing at its chest while it stabbed her in the back.

She grabbed on of its pincers and tore that off, in response, it sunk another into her right back leg. She roared in pain before biting onto its head, with a firm tug she pulled it off and watched as it swung wildly.

She backed up, charged her horn and held multiple shards of rock.

Its head grew back, it looked at her and then it was blinded when she launched the rock into its eyes.

She jumped onto it as it turned around. She got a grip onto its shoulder and hung on with her spine tail. She sunk her blades down deep into its back. It reared up again and tried to cut her off. Frustrated, it sent a charge of electricity through its own body.

She fell to the ground twitching. She looked up and saw it pick her up, unable to do anything, she felt it tear into her. Tearing her back legs off and clawing her insides out. For the finishing blow, it took a grip on her throat and decapitated her. Atleast that's what it looked like at first.

Her hooves fell off from their limbs and her head grew three tentacles. Now the separate limbs went on the attack and began stabbing the Ubermorph.

It flailed all of its limbs, scratching and tearing more at itself than the annoying body parts. He let out a throaty roar that made most of the ponies shrink back, but only enraged the parts more.

It struck again, this time with its horn. The parts fell off, wriggling and twitching. It puffed out its chest and sent a ball of acid onto them.

Sweetiebelle, now having regenerated her lost limbs, stood in front of it. Growling like a savage animal, her horn alight.

'I will kill you for all the lives you things have taken!' She mentally yelled. 'For the lives on Titan, the Ishimura, the Colony and Isaac's parents!'

That last thought; that last thought made something click inside her plated head. Her eyes glazed over, she became still but her horn started to have a white energy swirl like a snowstorm around her horn.

She turned around, facing the crowd and let a slow stream of magic flow out. It was as white as looking into the snow directly when the sun's out, the look made it look like taffy almost.

The residents moved away as it suddenly shot down into the ground.

Rock started to go up, spiraling. It thinned and widened before taking a prominent shape. They all watched in curiosity, horror and confusion as the final pieces were shaped.

A white Marker stood there. As big as the red one Isaac had destroyed on the Ishimura but, instead of glowing red, the symbols pulsed a gentle blue. All of them looking at it felt the fear slowly trickle away to be replaced by a sense of safety and bliss.

Her eyes fluttered momentarily, she shook her head and looked at her creation.

'Alex isn't going to be happy about this...' She said in her mind. A shriek went through the air, but it wasn't from any of the residents. 'What's wrong with you?' She thought annoyed at the Ubermorph.

She looked back and saw it was flailing away, moving quickly back, but, upon further inspection, it was being pushed back. She stared in mild confusion before taking it as an advantage.

She charged forward, Drag Tentacles grabbing it by the arms. She lifted it up in the air before smashing it to the sides, over and over until it was unrecognizable. She let go and backed away, waiting as it regenerated.

It got up slowly, keeping all five eyes trained on her. it was about to swing but its arm came short, as if it hit an invisible wall.

It looked around, skittering back and forth like a cockroach in the open. Looking, searching for a way past the wall.

It gave up and stood there facing Sweetiebelle, staring as she did the same.

'What's wrong with you? I'm right here.' She pondered, tilting her head to the side. 'Maybe it’s got to do with the Marker... the Marker I built.' Her eyes snapped open.

She quickly turned around and grabbed her Marker with a Drag Tentacle. She looked back at the Ubermorph, slowly bringing it closer. It went back as she brought it forward.

Her mandibles clicked together in delight. She brought it over in a sudden jerk and the Ubermorph went flying back, as if hit with a bomb.

It got up and as she brought it closer again, it shot a glob of acid and hit her in the face. Unprepared, she threw the Marker to the side and began wiping her muzzle and eyes clean. It charged forward and grabbed her by the throat.

It raised a pincer and took hold of her horn, and twisted. It broke free with a snap, sparks shooting out in small bursts as it threw her to the side. She landed heavily against the Marker.

It was just enough room for it to get through the gap. It proceeded forward, towards the group of ponies. Unaware of what was behind it.

Sweetiebelle laid there. Broken, splitting head ache and without magic.

'I guess I failed...' She thought. 'Sorry Equestria, I did my best. But my best wasn't enough.' She closed her eyes.

She felt a sudden vibrating; she opened her eyes and saw it was her Marker. It was glowing a bright blue, inching towards her.

She looked at it before an idea struck her.

She got up shakily, opened her mouth, and swallowed the Marker.

The Ubermorph was closing in; it could smell its prey.

It stood, towering in front of the ponies. It lifted a pincer and swung down.

Its pincer stopped right above a mare, halted by a sudden force that made it shoot right back into its chest. It whirled around and saw Sweetiebelle, standing there, with her Marker as a new horn.

It backed away slightly as she came forward.

She flicked her head to the side; its arms were folded against itself. The tip of the Marker lit up, glowing with a blue light. It fired off a stream of energy, coating the Ubermorph in ice.

When the cloud dissipated, it was only a quarter of its size. Sweetiebelle circled it momentarily, looking for cracks. Satisfied, she rose onto her back hooves, grabbed the Ubermorph with her Drag Tentacles and swallowed the Ubermorph.

The crowd stared in shock, a few of them fainted.

She got back down on all fours before the Marker lit up a dim red. A cloud of smoke started to pour out from her maw and in seconds, she spit out a pile of ash. She blew that away with a simple snort before letting herself fall back into slices. The Marker standing straight up, guarding its master and her home.

It’s home.

Their home.

"Sweetiebelle!" Her friends ran up to her, amazed expressions written across their muzzles.

"That was the most awesome thing I've ever seen!" Scootaloo said.

"Even ah couldn't cause that much damage!" Applebloom patted her on the back.

"Sweetiebelle was it?" Celestia asked walking up.

The crusaders did a quick bow.

"Y-yes...?" Sweetiebelle said.

"On behalf of all of Equestria, myself, my sister and everypony here, we thank you for saving us." And she made the crusaders tiny mouths drop. She bowed.

"Actually..." Sweetiebelle said. "You have me and my friends to thank. They did help."

"Yes, yes they did. Now then, what are your names?"

"My pony name is Scootaloo Pagefinder, but my real name is Slenderloo Pagefinder." Scootaloo said.

"Applebloom Apple." Applebloom said.

"Sweetiebelle Gem." Sweetiebelle said.

"Then, I think a stain glass window is in order, perhaps in the throne room?"

"Now hold on," Applebloom said. "Ah don't mean to impose, but, we can't accept that."

"Really? Why is that?" She asked, a small smile making its way out.

"Because, ya would be forgetting the most important member of our team. Isaac." She smiled. "He taught us what we know after all."

"I think that is suitable. Now, what do you say to a small party?"

"Nope!" They all replied.

"We just want to go get something to eat and go to sleep." Sweetiebelle yawned. "We've had a rough time..." She licked her lips in disgust. "And my mouth tastes like ash and copper."

"Then go and rest. Now," She looked to the Marker. "What to do about that?"

"Um, your majesty?" Applebloom said. "Ah think ah have an idea to solve a few problems and prevent a few. If'n ya could spare a private meeting for us, we could explain."

"A private meeting? Is it something urgent?"

"You could say that." She nodded. "Ah have to talk we the others first. So, uh, ah guess bye?"

"Farewell my little..." She giggled slightly. "Engineer."

Applebloom smiled and she and her friends were about to turn when they hear an all too familiar voice.

"Oh no..." They all face-hooved.

The mirror shimmered again, this time a man in black armor came running out.

"LLLLeeeeeerrrrrooooooyyyy JJJJJeeeeennnnkkkkiiiinnnnssss!" He yelled, Pulse rifle raised in the air.

He stopped in front of SnowFlake, the tall buff pony.

"Where am I?" He asked himself, not even bothered he ran atleast forty miles in a hundred and fifty pound armor. "Are you a pony?"

"Yeah!" SnowFlake replied.

"Then run!" Leeroy said. "All right, let's do this! Leeerrrrrrrrooooyyyy! Jeeeennnkkkiiinnnss!" He yelled as they both ran off.

"Wait for me!" Lyra yelled. "I want to go too!" She too, ran off with them.

"What... what just happened?" Celestia asked.

"Leeroy is what happened." Scootaloo sighed. "Come on crusaders, let’s go home."

And so, the crowd dispersed, leaving only Celestia, Alex who had fallen asleep during Isaac's and the crusaders Marker fight, Discord, and Twilight.

"Come Twilight, let us clean this up and then wake him up." Celestia said passing her student.

As they took swept up the rocks and other rubble, Alexander snorted and yawned.

"Oh... what the hell happened here?" He asked half awake.

"Necromorph’s." Twilight answered.

He shot out of the chair, legs digging into the dirt.

"Where!? Where are they!?" He yelled. "I'll kill them all!"

"It’s already dead, the crusaders took care of it."

"Oh... okay then. So," his voice took a low tone. "Why is there a Marker here?" He gritted his teeth.

"Sweetiebelle made it."

"What? Sweetiebelle? Rarity's sister?" He asked. "She made it?"

"From what we saw yeah, she did. And, it seems to be under control. Shouldn't it have brought the ponies back from the graveyard?"

"Yeah..." he looked around. ”But I still don't trust it. She'd better keep an eye on that or else a needle won’t be the only thing going in it."

His horn lit up and he teleported away, Celestia shortly after.

"Well, now what?" Twilight asked herself.

"Party?" Pinkie asked coming out of a man-hole.

"Later... we will party later, Pinkie." Twilight said.

And as cliché as the last time she did it. Luna flew in.

“I saw the explosions. Did I miss anything?” She asked.

“I’ll tell you!” Pinkie said. “It all started when-”

Sweetapple Acres.

"G'night." Applebloom said.

"Good night." Applejack said.

"Night." Mac said.

"No... ah don't want any cider..." Granny Smith snored in her rocker.

Applebloom went up the stairs and turned to her room. She opened the door and shut it quietly.

She smiled, looking at the bed. She slipped out of her suit, blood still caked on most of it. She set it aside and put the Plasma cutter under her pillow.

That night. She slept soundly.

The Carousel Boutique.

"Good night Rarity." Sweetiebelle said.

"Good night Sweetie." Rarity said smiling at her.

She went up to her room, closed the door and slipped out of her suit.

She smiled as she felt the carpet under her hooves, and she smiled even more when she jumped into bed.

She rolled over, letting the cool winter air wash over her. All the while, she fell asleep, staring at a small gold statue on her desk.

A Creepy part in the Everfree forest.

"Mom! Dad! I'm home!" Slenderloo called out.

She walked up to her rotting stump home. It was black with dead moss; vines crawled up the sides and a small welcome mat at the front door.

Two figures, one a faceless white alicorn with a business suit and tentacles coming out of his back emerged from the darkness. He was followed by a young looking mare with swirled eyes, a purple coat and a small propeller beanie.

"Slenderloo? Where have you been?" The father asked.

"I was trapped in a different dimension fighting horrible nightmarish creature called Necromorph's." She said. "I even got my cutie mark in hacking!"

"That's wonderful news!" He said. "Now come along, it's time for bed."

"I thought you'd never say that."

She dropped down and started to snore softly.
