Gorefest in Paper

"Now, class...", said Cherilee. "... today, we're going to do something really fun: story-writing!"

  "Cool!", said Twist.

"Kinda nice, I guess.", said Diamond Tiara.

Cherilee delivered a sheet of paper to each one of the students in the classroom.

"With this, I'm hoping that I can boost your creativity levels a little bit.", said Cherilee. "And it's a great way to put it to the test! If you need more sheets of paper, I've got a box full of them."

"Nice!", said Scootaloo. "I've been wanting to write a scary story for some time."

"Are ya really gunna do this?", asked Apple Bloom. "Ya could get'n trouble for it, y'know."

"Yeah, but this is not about just the classroom. I want to show it to the entire city of Ponyville! Maybe I'll get a story-writing cutie mark or something."

  "Doubt it."

"Miss Cherilee...", said Sweetie Belle. "... can we make teams?"

"Sure. Teams of two, please.", said Cherilee.

The students shuffled their desks to make story-writing teams: among all of them were Twist + Apple Bloom, Diamond Tiara + Silver Spoon, Snips + Snails and Sweetie Belle + Pipsqueak. Scootaloo chose Dinky Doo as her story-writing partner.

"So, who are the victims in your story?", asked Dinky, after Scootaloo had explained the whole initial concept.

"I'm thinking of a few classmates.", said Scootaloo. "I don't know who should die first, though."

"Yeah, I'm sure nopony here would agree with this."

"I know... I'll be the first victim. That way, nopony will have the right to whine about it, since I died first."

"That's actually a good idea. So, what's the setup gonna be like?"

"We'll find that out soon enough."

------------------------------------------------------------------

"Done!", said Scootaloo, as she admired her three sheets of paper, which were filled with gory situations and just plain cruel dialogue, front and back.

"I'm feeling kind of insane after this...", said Dinky Doo.

"Now to show it to the whole world!"

The two storywriters walked over to Cheerilee's desk. Scootaloo organized her story a tad too perfectly, and put it down on the desk, like a boss.

"Warning: slightly M-rated.", said Dinky Doo, as Cheerilee made an unsure look and started reading the story.

"Scootaloo...", said Cheerilee, with a gaping mouth.

  "Yes, Miss Cheerilee?", said Scootaloo.

"You're in detention for a week."

  "What?! Why?"

"Are you kidding? Just take a second look at your story!"

  "... it's awesome?"

  "Nevermind. You're still in detention."

  "... *sigh* Fine..."

Cheerilee leaned over to Scootaloo's ear.

"I still liked it, though.", she whispered.

------------------------------------------------------------------

"Great.", said Scootaloo, as the bell rang to end the class. "Now I'm in freaking detention."

"Look at the bright side.", said Dinky Doo. "She even liked your story! I think you should take it and make it even better."

"... you know what? You are right! To get a story-writing cutie mark, I'll have to do my very best at this... even more!"

  "Gorefest in paper?"

"Pretty much. But it needs something else... I know! I'll ask Rainbow Dash!... after detention."

"Dinky, it's time to go!", called Derpy Hooves at the school gates.

"Bye, Scootie.", said Dinky. "See you tomorrow."

  "See ya."

Scootaloo spent her whole detention time thinking about how awesome it would be to get well-known for her masterpiece of a scary story. She eventually fixated herself on one goal: to make the scariest, goriest, darkest story ever made by a ten-year-old blank-flank pegasus.
