The story is about three orphans: Ezio, Dontoa, and Eclipse. Their village was burned down by a mysterious beast and gravely injured Ezio who was brought back to full helth by Twilight Sparkle using a forbidden spell that has major side effects, but Twilight being friendly and clearly seeing that the brothers were devistated by their brother getting sick and their village being destroyed, she does it anyways. They quickly become friends with Twilight and the rest of the g4 gang, but Donotoa and Eclipse start seeing changes with Ezio: patches of dark spots, him being meaner, and something else you'll just have to read to find out.
