King of Velrain
Chapter 1: Watching.
Load Full Story Next ChapterHe watched as the ponies frolicked about completely unaware he was watching them, had been watching them for the past few months.
He took his time, waited for things to calm down. It's not every day an alien lands in the middle of town right?
"Interesting, not a single act of anger, violence or any negative feelings from any of the inhabitants. None for the past year; it's so peaceful. It's what I could never do." He turned away and flew off to his hiding spot in the forest.
It only took minutes at the sped he was going, he didn't have any rockets on his wings, no he just had some anti-gravity tethers built in. The rest of his armor was actually just like normal armor except it was also indestructible.
He still remembered getting it, each time it made him laugh at how silly he was back then. It just showed up as a gift in a box, instead of opening it like a suicidal person he stuck it in the backyard and kicked it before running away with a frying pan on his head.
If anyone was there to see his smile it would have made their eyes hurt. It was the most glorious thing he had ever seen, all the way from the horns down to the bladed gauntlets and cape.
He saw his area in the forest and took off his cloak reappearing again.
Rex, his robot dragon that he made himself as a friend and companion was recharging in the sunlight; who took enough time to raise his head up to see who was approaching.
"Morning Rex." He said waving before sitting down at his spot by a pair of logs he knocked over.
"Good morning how was the surveillance?"
"Same results. Nothing but peace, and happiness."
"Is that good?"
"Considering they haven't sent out a search part for us and aren't in the slightest worried that we're here, yeah it's great."
"Really? Because you seem depressed."
"I'm not depressed; I’m just suffering from my juice withdrawal."
"I'm still not sure why you need that stuff."
"If I knew, I would fix it, but for now, I’m stuck with it."
"But you’re stuck with me and Cinnamon."
"True, but I can only take so much of you two before I go insane."
"You need to talk with others?"
"Yes, I want to talk with someone else, no offense but you’re at times not the best company. It's depressing."
"I told you, you were depressed."
"Don't mock me."
"I would never. But about that talking to others..."
"No Rex, we need to stay hidden."
"As much as you've watched them you should know they're extremely friendly. You need to speak with them otherwise risk them finding us and panicking."
"And they won't panic when they see a robot dragon, a hybrid snake-spider and a super soldier?"
"They won’t panic as much. What you need to do is speak to one who is in a high position of power."
"I guess you’re right, we might as well. Do we have any apples left?"
"There's a bushel over there, you can thank Cinnamon for that."
The hybrid in question hissed a welcome to her owner.
"You’re a life saver cinnamon." He said getting up and going over to the apples.
He ate atleast half of them before putting his helmet back on.
He gathered his weapons that consisted of a shotgun, two assault rifles, a pistol, two grenades, two plasma grenades, his long sword made of the same metal as his armor and his kinetic war-hammer also made of the same metal.
"Come on, we've got some talking to do."
"Do you think bringing weapons will help us?"
"They don't even know what a gun is. Plus, I think they'll be more focused on us than what we’re carrying."
He took off leaving Rex to follow with Cinnamon holding on.
They landed atleast a mile away from the town.
"Alright so here’s the plan, I’ll go in and you follow, but cloaked. When I say it's alright to come out you will."
"Right."
"Cinnamon here." He took off his left gauntlet to let his partner crawl in.
They both walked fast but calmly, Rex making the quietest steps while Alexander’s shook the ground with each step. They saw the town getting closer and closer until the first few ponies saw them.
They all just stared at him walking through before he stopped at a large tree.
"Rex, check it out they have a library."
"I can read. Maybe the librarian can be of assistance?"
"I'll knock and see if anyone’s home."
He knocked lightly but still cracking the door before it opened to reveal a small purple reptile.
He just stared at Alexander with bored eyes.
"Not like it's the weirdest thing to happen around here. You want to talk to Twilight, she's inside."
He opened the door further inviting Alexander in. When he did try and go through he kept getting stuck in the frame.
"Could you just get this, Twilight?" Alexander asked getting out before he breaks the wall.
"Twilight! there’s some weird alien here to see you!" the little purple lizard yelled out.
As soon as he finished a lavender "unicorn" is what the natives call them, came walking down. And then stop with wide eye's locked straight on Alexander.
"I know I’m intimidating, but I just want to talk."
She slowly and shakily made her way down. "Y-You’re the o-one who beat Spiderman."
"Ah, you still remember that. Well now I’ve come back to talk with your superiors."
"My what?"
"Doesn’t this place have a leader? A dictator, president or is this a monarchy?"
"We have two princesses and a lord."
"Good. Now, take me to your leaders."
"I-I can't just do that."
He sighed realizing this wasn’t going anywhere, and started to walk off.
Before coming face to face with a crowd of ponies.
He turned around and sat right in front of the door way.
"What do I have to do to talk with your leaders?"
"Let me send them a letter."
"That could take day's to reach them; I know I’ve been watching you all for atleast a year."
All the ponies behind gasped.
"Obviously you haven’t seen what Spike can do. Spike take a letter."
"Right away!" He said pulling out a quill and parchment from behind his back.
"Dear Princess Celestia, The alien know as Alexander has shown up again and asks for an audience. He seems to want a peaceful talk, and he seems intent on keeping it that way.
From your Faithful student, Twilight Sparkle."
As she finished the letter he curled it up and Set it on fire, letting the smoke fly through the window.
As she turned back to her visitor she saw he was scratching the front part of his head while staring at Spike.
"Excuse me, why are you doing that?"
His head snapped back into focus and he stared at his hand for a second before snickering.
"Sorry, that's what I do when I’m thinking. So how long does this usually-"
He suddenly found himself in what appeared to be a throne room.
"Take."
He saw the supposed rulers sitting on their thrones. They appeared to be hybrids of all three versions of the natives.
The biggest one was white with a watercolor rainbow mane; the one next to it was a midnight blue and had a blue mane. What was bugging him is that they were blowing without a breeze.
The white one gave a gentle smile before speaking. "Hello again, Alexander."
"Hello."
"I understand your here to talk?"
"Yes, I want to know when I can leave or when you’re going to try and imprison me?" He rolled his hand towards the guards.
She actually looked shocked at his statement.
"Why would we do that? You have done nothing to deserve such a crime. For now, you and your friend are free."
"What? Is Rex here too?"
"No, the other one of you who calls himself Weird Al Yankovic. Who is this Rex though?"
"One second." He walked over to a window and accidentally broke it when he was trying to raise it. After he did though, he brought out a small yellow gun pointed it into the air and fired, releasing a bright yellow ball of light.
No soon after a distant roaring could be heard that soon became louder.
He moved out of the way as a large metallic dragon made its way in.
"This is Rex."
She still had her calm demeanor on before speaking again.
"Now, that Rex is here. Let us talk over tea."
