Pinkie Pie's Lucky Day!
Pinkie Pie's Lucky Day!
Pinkie had been walking around for a bit, well...hopping, you could say, around Ponyville when something caught her eye. She hopped on over to see a colt dressed in a red and white stripped shirt, with a hat similar to the ones the Flim-Flam brothers wore. Next to him was what seemed like a sphere-like cage and a bunch of white balls in it. "Come one, come all! It may be your lucky day today! Boats, houses, lots, parks; you name it! You could win one of those and more for only 10 bits!" The colt said quickly and cheerfully, hoping to lure in some foolish ponies to give him an easy 10. Little did anypony know, but he had rigged it so they would keep coming back. Sure it was mean and deceptive, but it was a good way to get rich.
Pinkie Pie hopped excitedly over to the stallion and smiled, "10 bits for stuff like that?! Count me in!" Pinkie Pie said, slaming down 10 bits, making the stallion chuckle at how gullible some ponies could be. "Alright miss...just give it a good crank! Hopefully you'll get a new house or something even better!" He tried hard not to laugh, this seemed way to eas- the pony pulled out a white ball and made a remark that shocked him, "Ohhhh...a mansion! I love those!" The colt gawked at the pink ecstatic pony. "But...but but! The only thing in there is a free hat...how'd you..?" The pink mare giggled as she trotted away, the colt felt he needed a break...and a long one at that...
As the hyper pony hopped home, she began to formulate a party to let her friends all know about the mansion she got. First she needed a theme..."Mystery," she thought, considering that most mansions are old, creepy, and perfect for a setting like a murder, but that'd probably unnecessary. Instead, she decided, she would involve something being stolen, yeah...that'd do. Finally she reached home, it was dark out now, and Pinkie was pretty tired. She opened the bakery door and trotted in, going upstairs and flopping on the bed, she decided to go over the plan in the morning, when her thoughts were fresh.
When she woke up in the morning she got straight to work, making invitations, planning the situation, and finally, putting it all together. When she was done, she giggled excitedly, this was surely going to be one of Pinkie Pie's best parties ever! She collected all of the invitations and put them into a basket, which was strapped to her head by a piece if rope. She trotted over to Twilight's house, she would be the first to know about the party. It's not that Pinkie Pie chose favorites...she just liked Twilight from all the others...and Derpy, she liked her just as much as Twilight, which was a smidge more than the others.
She finished the planning and making the party at around noon, so her friends should be awake by now. She knocked on Twilight's door, which was followed by a "Spike! Answer the door please," and a groan. Finally Spike opened the door. "Hey Spike! How's it goin'?" Pinkie Pie asked in her usual cheery tone. "Fine...I guess...hey Twilight! It's Pinkie Pie! I think she wants you!"
Hoof steps were heard going down the stairs, soon Twilight came into view, smiling at her pink colored friend. "Hey Pinkie Pie, what's going o-" "I'm having a party at my new mansion! You'll be there, right!?" The pink pony was hopping up and down rapidly, making it hard for Twilight to focus on what Pinkie Pie said. "Well...I guess..." "Great! See you there!" Pinkie Pie handed Twilight an invitation and quickly bounced away, leaving her with one question left unanswered, "What did she mean by mansion...?" Twilight shook her head, closing the door and opening the note, reading it.
Invitations and Expectations!
Invitations and Expectations!
"Hello Twilight! You and the others are invited to my party, it is being held in my new mansion located at the edge of ponyville...near this pretty huge hill! You couldn't miss it! Anyways the other guests attending the party will be: Rarity, Apple Jack, Rainbow Dash, Fluttershy, Pinkie Pie, Derpy, Dr.Whooves, Celesita, Luna, and you, of course! The party starts at noon next week! Be there or be square! - Signed: Pinkie Pie." Twilight sighed after reading the ending, "be there or be square? What does that even mean...?" She muttered to herself. Even if she didn't want to go, she knew she had to, considering the -last- time the group ignored her invites. Twilight sighed again and set the letter down, going to one of the shelves and picking up a nice and big book, hopefully it would cure the boredom she was feeling right now. She went over to her bed and laid down, beginning to read the book.
Pinkie Pie hopped to her next target, Fluttershy's house. She knocked on the door and smiled, waiting for the shy pony to answer. Fluttershy opened the door, saying "Why hello there Pinkie Pie...what brings you here..." "I just wanted to give you this! Read the note! It'll explain everything! See ya!" Pinkie Pie once again trotted off, ending the conversation abruptly, leaving Fluttershy to figure out what the invitation was for by herself. The yellow pegasus gently ripped open the envelope, taking the note and reading it. It resembled the one given to Twilight, but with few, minor changes. After reading it she frowned. "Pinkie has a mansion?! Where'd she afford that..." Fluttershy could only shrug, she wasnt one make assumptions, her friends included, surely she must of gotten some kind of huge raise. She wouldn't be surprised, Pinkie Pie had been working quite a lot over the few months. She decided to end her thoughts after that, she was getting tired. She went to her room and got in her bed, pulling the blanket over her and slowly began to snore, Angel hopping next to her and doing the same.
Pinkie Pie had finished going to her other friends house, Rainbow Dash's house being the last, mostly because it was the hardest house to get to. Even though she finished a long time ago, she continued to walk around Ponyville. Something about being alone in the dark when nopony knew made her giddy inside. she also loved how there was almost always a gentle breeze at night. She started to trot home, she had circled Ponyville two times now, though really I don't think that's surprising. As she neared home she suddenly remembered when she had gone a-wall because she thought her friends didn't like her parties anymore. She giggled quietly at herself as she neared her house, she had two weeks of planning to do, and even more to do to put the plan in action. Though she really wanted to get it done today, she decided to sleep and save her energy for tomorrow. Besides, maybe she'd come up with some more ideas to use at the party. She opened the door to the bakery and quietly walked upstairs, going to her room and lying down on the bed. "Two weeks," she thought, giggling once again as she grabbed a blanket and wrapped it around her, though she still had many ideas circling through her head, she managed to go to sleep, almost instantly snoring quietly. Tomorrow she'd begin revising her plan, to make sure everything is perfect.
