Chapter 10: The new music

I made my way to the library with my goggles in my hands. I was smiling the whole way. When I reached it I opened the door to see Flutter shy standing there with a book held in front of her by Twilight. Before I could read the title Flutter shy grabed the book from the air and held it against her, blocking it from sight.

'Uh... OK then...'

"Well, anyways, guess what?"

They both looked at each other than shrugged. I showed them the goggles and they sat there staring at them for a moment.

"Vinyl gave them to me, she is retiring and I am now the primary DJ here. She gave me her equipment and I promised to take care of it."

Twilight sat there shocked, while Flutter shy was about to faint.

'Hehe... fangirls...'

"And I wanted to ask if you wanted to get something to eat while I wait for my house to finish the changes. They are building a new room for all of the equipment."

She managed a shaky nod.

"O-Oh... OK.... b-but I have to p-put this b-book away at my h-house..." She said with a large blush on her face.

I nodded. "Alright, I'll walk with you."

We left the library and made our way towards her house. On the way I couldn't take my eyes off the book.

'Gah, what is it, its driving me crazy.'

So I looked at her. "Shy, what book is that?"

The moment I said it I saw a huge blush form on her face.

"I-It's n-nothing..."

I shrugged and continued on. When we reached her house I opened the door and let her in. She went over to her saddlebag and grabbed a few things. She slowly slid the book in hoping I wouldn't notice. Then she went upstairs for something. Curiosity got the best of me. I walked over to it and took a look at the book.

'Lets see... Emotion meanings? Huh?' Then I looked at the sub-title 'Featuring love, romance and.....sex... oh.....well....'

I thought of a word to sum it up. 'um...Shit...'

I heard hoof steps coming down the stairs so I placed everything back and ran to the couch. As I sat down she appeared wearing the most beautiful dress I have ever seen. Her gala dress. It somehow looked so much better in person... er..... pony.

We made our way out of the house and I told her to wait a moment. I ran to my house and got my white clothes on instead of the black ones. The black ones were awesome but the white ones seemed more... fitting for this occasion. I left my home and said hi to the workers. Then got back to Flutter shy. Honestly, she looked VERY happy. We made our way to her favorite restaurant again. When we got there we walked up to be seated. The moment I walked in all of the waiters perked up.

"H-Hello Mr. Chris and Miss Flutter shy, how may I help you today?" I was taken aback from the service.

"Uh... quite well actually, could you find us a table?"

He looked at me and made a slight bow. "But of course, we have one waiting for you. Please follow me."

I began following him until both me and Flutter shy found ourselves in the VIP area.

'Being a DJ does have it's perks. I just never understood why DJ's are so loved in Equestria... maybe they are rare?'

We sat down at the table and we placed our orders. When he left Flutter shy just started staring at me. So I decided to have a little fun. I began to sway back and forth, her head following me. I leaned far off to the right, then quickly moved to the left and she lost her balance and fell over. She immediately got up and looked at anything but me. I couldn't help but give a laugh.

"Shy, I'm not dumb, whats on your mind?" I asked causing her to look away again.

"I...uh... have never been out with a celebrity before..." I could tell that wasn't it but whatever.

"Ya, I'm still getting used to it. I didn't even know I had the skill to be a DJ, but apparently I do."

She nodded and then our food came. We began eating and talking about random things and telling jokes, a pretty good night if you ask me.

When we were done eating I paid for the meal and left a tip. I hadn't been spending money on anything, so I could afford a small tip. As we left the restaurant I could hear the waiter make a loud "Squee" sound. Flutter shy turned and looked at me.

"How much did you give him?"

I looked at her and smiled, "Enough." I ended it with a wink.

We made it to my house and I could tell it was finished. I walked up to the door, Flutter shy beside me, and opened it. We walked in and went up the stairs. Normally It is a fairly large room with a door to the right that goes to the bathroom. But now there was a door to the left. We walked into it and saw a large room with Equipment all hooked up and ready to go.

"Hey Shy, wanna see how it works?"

She almost fainted but forced a smile trying to keep her cool and nodded. I laughed and walked over to the turntable. I plugged in my I-pod and played a song. I began remixing it and all that amazing stuff. When the song finished I saw Flutter shy standing there stomping her hooves on the ground smiling wildly.

"Haha... thanks. Tomorrow I am planning on having a party at the club, I am going to mix some songs tonight for it. If you want at any time at any party to ask for a song to be played that you mixed, feel free."

She stared at me wide eyed. "I can come b-back s-stage whenever?"

I nodded. "Well, duh I AM your boy f- er... colt friend."

She nodded furiously while blushing. I walked up to her and handed her the pass Vinyl gave me. Although I made a few altercations to it so she can use it whenever. When I handed it to her she made the same "Squee" sound.

'I will NEVER get sick of that sound.'

At that moment she flew up to me and planted a long kiss on my lips before backing away. I sat there surprised. But quickly brushed off the feeling.

"W-Well... I have to get home... I have to feed angel and I also... um... have some reading to catch up on... I'll see you later."

I laughed slightly at the last part, and waved goodbye to her. I stayed up a bit longer remixing songs. I decided my first song to play would be one Rainbow will probably pass out from. A little while later It was around 2 o'clock. I walked over to my bed and stripped to my boxers. I lay down and quickly fell asleep. But as I lay there I couldn't help but feel like there is going to be a... as Pinkie would say it.... a doozy.
